Great Just a few hiccups

The Staff and service at the hotel were great! It lacks some amenities like central air so I always felt hot. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating! Thanks to Leslie from catering, Nicholas as the front desk And Felix for making our trip memorable!

Lack of staffs at reception, turned out they are all having breakfast.
Breakfast was too pricey for a very limited items, everything was cold, empty for breakfast buffet at 10:00am on Sunday when the breakfast time is until 11am.

Ein gutes Hotel für einen Kurztrip ; ruhig gelegen trotz des benachbarten Ruhr Park Einkaufszentrums und Autobahnen. Empfehlenswert

Einschränkungen
Es fehlt ein Safe im Zimmer
Für einträgliche Zimmerreinigung muss man sich aktiv bis morgens 08:30 an der Rezeption melden. Was wenn man länger schläft? Diese Verfahrensweise finden wir sehr unpraktisch. Besser ist da das gewohnte Schild für die Tür.
Natürlich muss der beauftragte Service auch später kontrollieren, ob noch Zimmer eine Reinigung wünschen.

Great all around - AND: Ronnefeldt Tea!

We stayed for one night. Everything was as it should have been: friendly (and helpful!) staff, clean room, easy check-in and check-out, plentiful parking (free).
Special mention for the breakfast buffet which had a good selection and was replenished often.
You know you're in good hands when you see Ronnefeldt Tea offered!

Room was OK, with reasonable bathroom.
Although very high sided bath to access shower, probably not good for people with mobility issues.

Our room was a double room with shared main door, although main door locks on closing, we had to lock our door with key for privacy and security.
Good is your traveling with larger group but not when you only occupy one of the rooms.

Breakfast was OK, but not for the price, if you have enough time do to the rhur park centre where you can have 2 breakfast for cheaper than ACHAT.
Located at the end of a dark area of the park.
Ok in a car, not so good if walking especially alone.
Sauna, can not comment on how good this was as I never found it to be open when I checked various times of the day.
So poor for sauna, could do with opening hours on the door.

Overall OK to good.
Good location to park centre for shopping and eating.
Poor for breakfast costs and sauna never being available when I wanted a sauna

Nice Hotel great location

Our stay was very good, could not fault the room and cleanliness, my only concern was the bar person was not always about and people had a wait, this was the first two nights of our stay, and the receptionist and bar lady were more interested in playing a drinking game with a bunch of male guests!

We have stayed at the Achat Hotel quite a few times now, it is handy for local areas and people who want to go and see starlight express! There is a spa next door which has doubled in size over the past few years. And is worth a visit.
The hotel alone is good value for money, but l think breakfast is a bit expensive, when you can go 500mtrs up the road and get breakfast for half the price.
It would also be good to have a kettle and tea/coffee in the room, l know the Germans are not keen on fast coffee!. But overall the Hotel is good.

Good but not great

This was my second stay at the hotel. The first stay was fine and almost nothing to complain about. Maybe except it took a while to find somebody at the reception but I was checking in late. The second stay was a bit worse experience. The problem was a bathroom. The sink tap couldn't be turned off normally I had to use quite extensive force and bathtub plug was leaking so I had to keep water running if I wanted to have a bath. Otherwise it was a quiet room with a comfortable bed.

Great Hotel and great value.

I have stayed here a few times, and the hotel never lets you down, even better now,we now have coffee tea and chocolate in the room.
Also the night club next door has closedown so no noise. This Hotel is very handy for the Bochum and Dortmund area. I will be staying here again.

Nice hotel away from the city center

Very nice hotel, away from the city center (so need to have a car or use public transportation to get to the city center). Reservation specified free WiFi and the check-in desk tried to charge us for the WiFi, but other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our time at this clean, comfortable hotel. Breakfast buffet is a good one, but we did not want to spend the €15/day (I have stayed at this hotel before and the breakfast was included in the rate and was good).

Lost in a time warp

If you hanker for a return to the 1980's then this is the hotel for you. It has not been updated since the day it was built.

Understaffed, poor choice on menu, not cleaned very well, no soundproofing so you can hear every footstep in the corridor outside. and the breakfast room is too small to cope with the number of guests.

On the plus side, beds were comfortable, and there is a wide, if not strange, breakfast choice. I didn't know Chicken nuggets were a breakfast food.

the service is very slow anything you as for seems to have been a real chore for them.

Not at all happy with service. Any time you asked for anything it seems to have been a real chore for them. Had problem with their computer. needed to contact family back home. Printer was not set properly. Instructions in german even though the clerk spoke english would not give any assistance or call someone who would be able to reset computer. Just left me sitting there. Room never really cleaned properly. Never left enough towels, or glasses, always had to call down or go get them ourselves. Would not stay there again

Well priced hotel

Hotel was okay, good rooms and furnishings. Arrived late & restaurant closed at 9.30pm which was a bit irritating. Ate in restaurant 2nd night - only couple in there! So lacked a bit of atmosphere. Receptionist Sunday morning was wonderfully helpful printing some info for us from a local website. Hotel was a bit too remote though.

Perfect location for shopping and exploring

Stayed here while visiting for a family reunion. More a business hotel than leisure. However, it has a perfect location 5 mins from the A40 (traffic noise not apparent); is next to the Ruhr Park shopping centre. There is no restaurant, but they do an average breakfast and there is a small bar open from 18.00hrs. The rooms were adequate and clean - although they should think about hoovering under the bed too! I would stay there again.

Zimmer optisch modern eingerichtet aber das Badezimmer nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Speziell im Frühstücksbereich sehr nettes Personal allerdings chaotischer Nachfüllservice. Ist das Rührei da fehlt der Bacon, kommt der Bacon ist das Rührei aus. Zeitweise keine Brötchen verfügbar und das Frischobst ( Melone, Ananas etc.) wurde gar nicht aufgefüllt. Es gab ja noch 3 Bananen und einen vollen Korb Äpfel. Die Prioritäten lagen zu sehr auf dem Abräumen des benutzen Geschirr. Parkmöglichkeiten sind ausreichend vorhanden. Für einen erneuten Musicalbesuch würden wir es dennoch eventuell wieder in Betracht ziehen.

Wir waren für eine Nacht hier und hatten leider was weit hinten war und wir mussten unsere Sachen ein ganzes Eck schleppen. (Sind mit den Motorrädern unterwegs) Ansonsten war das Zimmer in Ordnung. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden.

Im Grunde in Ordnung, jedoch sehr altmodisch und teils renovierungsbedürftig. Zwei Glasaufzüge, einer davon meist außer Betrieb, der Andere ruckelt und die Türen quietschen enorm. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage im Zimmer, nur einen (alten) Standventilator. Das kann hier, gerade im Sommer, schonmal sehr warm werden. Unser Zimmer war ok, das Bad eher alt und teils defekt (Zimmerdecke), alter Föhn und keine Beleuchtung in der Badewanne (Wird als Dusche genutzt). Der Einstieg in diese Badewanne ist sehr hoch und ein Griff zum festhalten gibt es auch nicht. Hier ist Vorsicht geboten, nicht auszurutschen. Einen Kühlschrank und auch einen Safe gab es am Zimmer nicht. Die Bettwäsche, explizit die Kopfkissen, sind sehr weich und der Nacken dürfte noch länger die Verspannung spüren.
Generell ist Preis/Leistung ok - Aber 4 Sterne? Sorry. Hier wäre eine Neubewertung angebracht. Aber wir wollen ja auch etwas positives verlauten lassen: Das Frühstücksbuffet ist echt gut und generell ist es im Hotel weitgehend sauber!

Jeg er meget positiv over min overnatning. Fint hotel med rart personale. Værelserne er fine og der er mulighed for karbad hvis man ønsker dette. Morgenmaden er super fin med lidt af hvert.

ich bin sehr enttäuscht von meinem Aufenthalt in Ihrem Hotel. Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit Doppelbett gebucht, aber stattdessen zwei Einzelbetten erhalten. Erst nach mehreren Beschwerden konnte ich das Zimmer wechseln. Das Zimmer war unerträglich heiß (38 Grad), und ich konnte nicht schlafen.

Nach mehreren Beschwerden bekam ich ein neues Zimmer, aber dort bedeckten die Vorhänge das Fenster nicht vollständig – es war viel zu hell, um vor 2 Uhr nachts schlafen zu können.
Außerdem musste ich jeden Tag extra darum bitten, dass das Zimmer gereinigt wird. Das Frühstück war den Preis absolut nicht wert.

Sehr gute Verkehrsanbindung

Das Hotel ist in gutem Zustand und sehr verkehrsgünstig gelegen, man kommt schnell Richtung Süden als auch ins Ruhrgebiet, was für uns wichtig war.
Einkaufszentrum und Therme nebenan sind natürlich auch schön.
Zimmer sind ordentlich, Personal sehr freundlich, Preis top, deshalb kommen wir gerne wieder.

Wir hatten als Familie mit unserem 1 Jährigen Sohn einen rundum angenehmen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Die Lage ist hervorragend – der Ruhrpark mit zahlreichen Restaurants und einem großen Einkaufszentrum ist direkt in der Nähe und bequem zu erreichen. Das Zimmer war sauber, gepflegt und bot alles, was man für einen entspannten Aufenthalt braucht. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das Personal an der Rezeption: äußerst zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit und einfach unglaublich freundlich. Hier bleiben wirklich keine Wünsche offen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und immer bemüht und beantwortet jede Fragen etc.
Ich kann das Hotel empfehlen.
Schon wenn man den Eingang betritt ist eine ganz entspannte Atmosphäre.
Die Zimmer sind sauber und modern eingerichtet.
Das Frühstück ist sehr vielseitig und sehr reichhaltig.

Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend für Gäste die gerne Shoppen und Wellness vereinbaren wollen. Neben dem Hotel liegt direkt die Media Therme und in 5 Minuten ist man zu Fuß im Shoppingcenter. Dort gibt es viele Möglichkeiten unterschiedliche Speisen zu sich zu nehmen. Außerdem befindet sich ganz in der nähe ein Kino.
Das Personal ist super freundlich.
Das Frühstück ist ausbaufähig. Früher war die Brötchenauswahl besser. Wünschenswert wären richtige Körnerbrötchen.
Ansonsten kann man sich als Gast dort sehr wohl fühlen. Wir werden jedenfalls wieder kommen.
