An ideal hotel for seeing Starlight Express (the reason for my visit) which was literally on the doorstep of the hotel.

The location is great next to the Starlight Express Theatre which we were visiting. Unfortunately the bar was closed after we’d seen the show although we were able to use the fridge in the lobby. Breakfast was a buffet style and an excellent selection. The room was a good size although the decor was rather dated. Overall we had a good stay.

Stayed here after a evening game of football at the nearby Stadium. Everything in the hotel was perfect, really modern and well furnished. My only complaints would be I hoped to have a late wake up the following day however my rooms was on the first floor and the noise from the breakfast was so loud from 7am onwards. The other complaint would be the positioning of the toilet in the Bathroom. Apart from that the hotel was great and I would use again but definitely wouldn’t take a ground floor room!

The only thing that let it down for me is this is still a hotel with smoking rooms (Great if you are a smoker) and i have to say as a non smoker we were given a non smoker room that did not smell of smoke at all however the corridors did smell a bit.

Great hotel with ideal situation to Starlight Express and easy walk into town and through the park. Only downside to room was the very soft pillows even with two they disappear when you put your head down and more importantly no room tea or coffee facility.

Was in Bochum on business. The hotel is really out of the city center, which I didn't pay attention to when booking, so that's my fault. Tram was about a 10 minute walk away and nearby bus stop is only once an hour. But room was large, wifi ok (had to continually login), breakfast delicious. If I had a car, I would stay again. Without one, probably not.

This was just a short stay, one night, and the hotel was good value for money. It had everything we needed with a decent restaurant, good rooms with AC. We just needed somewhere to stay over night and it worked well for us. If you need to get to the city center, it is a bit off.

It is just off the highway so very easy to reach by car. The free onsite parking was very helpful, the parking places are limited but as long as one doesn't arrive so late there should be space. The room was very clean and quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Der Grund für die Buchung des Hotels war ein Besuch des Musicals \"Starlight Express\". Die Nähe des Hotels ist einfach unschlagbar. Man kann sozusagen entspannt rüber laufen. Nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten unsere Buchung zu finden, wegen einer Systemumstellung, konnten wir unser Zimmer beziehen. Ein etwas in die Jahre gekommenes, im EG gelegenes, ordenliches Zimmer. Es war sauber und die Betten Top. Einzig das Bad! Die Toilette ist so in die Ecke gepresst, das man sich unter Umständen den Kopf stößt beim hinsetzen. Ausgestattet mit Badewanne, auch gut. Es sei denn man möchte Duschen. Ein Vorhang, der im geschlossenem Zustand den Wasserhahn verdeckt. Abenteuerlich! Für eine Nacht ok, für länger eher nicht. Zumal man auch von den Zimmertüren immer wieder aufgeschreckt wird, da sie unglaublich laut zuschlagen. Die Mitarbeiter, das muss man aber auch sagen, sind freundlich und bemüht. Das Frühstück lässt ebenfalls keine Wünsche offen!

Die Pünktlichkeit der Putzkolonne im Empfangsbereich war auffällig: Um jeweils 05.22 Uhr war für uns die Nacht vorbei. Als 70-jährige Hotelnutzer hatten wir so etwas noch nie erlebt. Die Entschuldigung an der Rezeption empfanden wir als ehrlich. Gleichzeitig klang sie aber hilflos. Offensichtlich bestimmt in diesem Hotel die Reinigungsfirma die Regularien.
Diese Erfahrung floss selbstverständlich in die Beschreibung des Aufenthalts bei unseren Freunden ein.

Es war alles top. Das Zimmer war groß und freundlich. Wir hatten eine Badewanne. Ein echtes Highlight. Meine Hunde waren willkommen und durften sogar mit zum Frühstück. Das war sehr gut. Es sind anscheinend viele Menschen mit einem Handicap eingestellt und die machen ihre Sache richtig gut. Parken kann man am Hotel, oder im Parkhaus gegenüber zu einem sehr günstigen Preis. Es gab einfach nichts zu meckern.

Alles war sehr angenehm und sauber. Das Hotel könnte vielleicht etwas moderner gestaltet sein – zum Beispiel ohne Teppichböden – aber insgesamt war es wirklich gut. Wir würden definitiv wiederkommen! Besonders das Frühstück hat uns überzeugt: eine tolle Auswahl, auch für Vegetarier. Absolut empfehlenswert! Die Nähe zu Starlight Express ist ein weiterer Pluspunkt und das Personal war durchweg freundlich.

Ein großes, übersichtliches Zimmer. Der einzige Kritikpunkt in meinen Augen ist die Badewanne als Dusche inkl am Körper klebenden Duschvorhang. Das ist leider nicht so meins.

Das Zimmer und die Gegend waren sehr ruhig. Erholsamer Schlaf. Betten gut. Klimaanlage leise. Grad in 2 min Fussmarsch vom Starlight Express entfernt. Parkplatz kann man für €8 pro Tag mieten oder aber gleich ins Parkhaus nebenan gehen für die Hälfte (€4/24h).
So gut das Zimmer und die Rezeption auch waren, das Restaurant und das Essen ist eher unterdurchschnittlich und lieblos.
