The hotel is conveniently located near the railway station. Close to the entertainment district of Bochum with lots of bars and restaurants to chose from. In order to get to the hotel from the train station you have to pass through groups of intoxicated homeless folks. It might have been an exception but I was woken up in the morning at 8 by guests playing music very loud in their rooms. Doors were propped open the party moved between various rooms and the hallway. I asked the guests to turn the music down. Shortly after, a full bottle of beer was thrown at my door. The bottle broke and beer spilled under the door. I tried to reach the front desk by phone, because I did not feel safe. The front desk did not pick up. I walked down to the front desk to complain. I was told by the staff that everything is ok, because the guest that had caused the disturbance just had checked out. Later a member of house keeping cleaned up the broken glass and offered me to move into a different room, as my room needed serious cleaning as the beer had spilled into my room and soaked the carpet. I did not feel safe any longer and left as early as possible. The communication of the front desk staff in this situation was not adequate. Everything is clean, but the bathrooms are very small. They are so small that you have to sit sideways on the toilet. The rooms are reasonably priced, but the low price might attract customers, that do not know how behave in a hotel.

Some of the staff were nice and helpful. Very basic accommodations. Very good restaurant across the street and very convenient to train station. The reviewer that said he had to sit sideways on the toilet was probably not exaggerating but the sink would get in the way if you moved to far.

The hotel is well located, very close to the central station. The staff were very friendly, immediately assisting with a request for a late checkout which was much appreciated. The room was very clean and very nice but a little bit on the small side, though fine for a hotel of this standards (and price). This is a better hotel than the nearby Ibis Styles- it’s more comfortable and modern and not much more expensive. The breakfast was very good; plenty of options and I appreciated and enjoyed the fresh waffle machine they had whilst I was there. In the room there wasn’t tea or coffee facilities, which was a shame, but perfectly manageable. Room noise was very low- some noise from the corridor and the nearby road, but nothing too intrusive or load. Overall, a nice place to stay and recommended when in a Bochum.

Our 4-night stay at the Bochum Ibis was very disappointing. Yes, the beds are comfortable and the breakfast buffet was great but the bathrooms are so tiny that my husband could only sit sideways on the toilet! The soundproofing is substandard so that guests who return late disturb others. We will never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay.

Rooms were good enough, but be warned when staying here on a weekend ask for a room that is not facing the square behind the station as there is a nightclub there. Needless to say I didn't get any sleep until about 4am.

The hotel is relatively inexpensive. It seemed relatively modern and comfortably. The room is small, but it had everything that I needed. It is close to the central railroad station, which has local and regional connections as well as a sub-way. One thing to note is that the walls, especially to the corridor, is quite thin, and thus the room can at times be a bit noisy.

The Ibis Bochum Zentrum (IBZ) is located directly adjacent to the Bochum HBF train station. Walk out the back entrance of the HBF, and the IBZ is directly in front of you. (If you walk out the front entrance, turn to the left and walk through the underpass on University Ave.) The IBZ is a typical Ibis property. The rooms are quite small, but clean, modern and comfortable. The staff at the IBZ was very accomodating and efficient. I needed an early check-in, and there was no problem with that at all. There is nothing of interest in the immediate neighborhood, as the IBZ is on the \"other side\" of the railroad tracks from downtown Bochum. However, the IBZ is only a 5 minute walk to the \"good side\" of the railroad tracks, which is the lively part of Bochum.

For a weekend stay the hotel is what you want, if you cannot afford luxury, but dont want real budget. Right on top of the station, which is the hub of Bochum, across the road from the shops and 5 mins wall to the Bermuda deck (bars, restaurants etc). The room was very clean and the hotel looks newly refurbished. Although the bathroom was a little small, it was adequate for 2 nights, but the bed was very good. Dont forget to catch Starlight Express, a taxi is 7€ from the station to the theatre.

I was made very welcome by the Reception Staff whose apologies for not speaking perfect English were heartfelt, as were mine for not speaking good German - especially as I was in their country. The room was immediately available and very clean, though slightly cramped for a couple (I was travelling alone). The bar/public area was clean and well furnished - no signs of wear. Why does there have to be a \"but\" ? In this case - why do some hotels still persist in charging for Wi-Fi? It was free in the bar area but for private conversations in one's room there was a charge - minimum 4 EUROS. Apart from that minor point - a very good hotel, in the centre of town but quiet and undisturbed sleep, even with the window open. Thank you Ibis Zentrum, Bochum.

Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war sauber. Das Bad allerdings extrem klein und abgenutzt. Es handelt sich um ein altes Ibis-Hotel, das von B& B Hotels übernommen wurde. Wie im Aushang bekannt gegeben. sind umfangreiche Renovierungsarbeiten geplant. Frühstück war ok und auf B&B Standard. Parksituation und Lage des Hotels waren gut.

Practical location close to the main train station and the city centre. The room was decent enough and the hotel was fairly clean. We did not have breakfast at the hotel.

We arrived a couple of hours before check-in time (15:00). I know that I should not be expecting to get a room before check-in time. However, it was a bit annoying when they told us that rooms were ready but that we had to pay a fee of 15 EUR for an early check-in.

Das Zimmer war leider sehr klein, welches für eine Übernachtung aber vollkommen ausreichend ist. Leider war das Toilettenpapier verschmutzt. Es schien so als wäre dem Gast zuvor die Rolle Toilettenpapier in die Toilette gefallen und zur Trocknung wieder aufgehangen. Uns wurden aber direkt zwei neue Rollen ausgehändigt.
Das Bett und die Kissen waren leider sehr unbequem. Insgesamt sehr grenzwertig für den Preis

Im Zimmer bekommt man leider Platzangst wenn man hier zu zweit ist. Die Köfferchen mussten notdurftig auf dem Schreibtisch Platz finden und im Bad konnte man sich kaum drehen wenn man die Türe geschlossen hatte. Vlt auch da es sehr verwinkelt war, das Bad war ein Dreieck.

Clean and comfy room, a rich and yummy breakfast, friendly staff.
But: my bathroom was very very tiny, especially the position of the toilet (in a corner with 2 walls) is a fail. Me being 1,95 m / 6ft tall i felt really confined.
So i can't really recommend it for huge-grown people, even more for longer stays.

Das Personal war sehr liebenswürdig, zugewandt und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, die Zimmer zweckmäßig eingerichtet, alles ist vorhanden, um den Aufenthalt angenehm zu gestalten. Das Frühstücksbuffet läßt keine Wünsche offen - es war abwechslungsreich und schmackhaft, mit echtem(!) Rührei und gutem Kaffee, frischen, nicht aufgebackenen Brötchen. Das Hotel liegt sehr verkehrsgünstig direkt am Bahnhof, die Innenstadt ist 5 Minuten entfernt. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.

Das Hotel ist günstig Gelegen, direkt hinter dem Hauptbahnhof.
Das Personal war sehr freundlich.
Leider roch es auf dem Gang sehr muffig. Im Zimmer war das Fenster geöffnet und ich konnte dort keinen geruch feststellen. Das zimmer ist klei aber ausreichend aber das Bad ist sehr eng aber sauber.
Das Frühstück kostet 13€ und hat eine gute Auswahl.

TOP Lage. Kleines Bad.

Erstmals muss man sagen, dass die Lage des Hotels ist top. Keine 1 Minute zu Fuß von dem Bochumer Bahnhof kann man das ganze Ruhrgebeit erreichen. Noch 5 oder so Minuten zu Fuß entfernt ist das Bermuda Dreieck mit sämtlichen Bars und Restaurants. Wenn ich wieder Geschäftsreise in der Gegend hätte, werde ich höchstwahrscheinlich das Hotel wieder buchen.

Das Zimmer war sauber und der Schreibtisch ausreichend tatsächliche zu arbeiten.

Die einzige Minuspunkte sind das Bad. Es ist ziemlich klein und die Duschtür ist undicht, da das Wasser auf den Boden rausläuft. Man muss nur aufpassen.

Wer eine günstige Unterkunft in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs und der Innenstadt (Geschäfte, Restaurants, etc.) sucht, der kommt hier sehr gut unter. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, Parkplätze am Haus sind vorhanden (leider kann man sie allerdings nicht reservieren und kosten 7,-€/Nacht extra) und die Zimmer sind klein, aber sauber und gut ausgestattet. Und Langschläfer können beruhigt dort übernachten, da das umfangreiche Frühstücksbuffet bis 11:00 Uhr geöffnet hat und Checkout bis 12:00 Uhr ist.
Bemängeln lässt sich höchstens der Teppichboden im Flur, der etwas müffelt. Ansonsten ist das Hotel eine klare Empfehlung!

Wir haben in der Vergangenheit schon ein paar mal im Ibis Bochum geschlafen. Jetzt hatten wir den Eindruck, das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Vielleicht war auch der negative Eindruck COREONA geschuldet? Aber: der
Föhn ging nicht, die Handtücher waren neu mal weiß,
jetzt alt, angegraut und nicht weich, Frühstück reduziert etc.

お部屋もベッドも広くて快適でした。部屋に冷蔵庫やポットはありませんがフロント前にお酒や軽食などが売っているミニキオスクみたいなのがあって24時間使えるので外に出ることもなくて便利です。朝食のバイキングも美味しかったです。使いませんでしたがワッフルが焼ける機械があり、パンのトースターはなかったですがこちらで暖かいものが食べれるのがいいと思いました
