We are typically Airbnb people but we had stayed here 8 years ago and had a wonderful experience so thought why not. The beds are comfortable, the breakfast and social hour are good, place is clean. The issue this time though there were no towels! When you would ask for towels they would say they didn’t have any. They made ours beds only 1 time in 5 days, would take out trash every other day, and leave no towels. I went to log in to the WiFi the morning we were leaving and they had already disabled me. Not a bad place but was better 8 years ago.

Felt like I was owed a partial refund for having to go to the front desk for towels every night. Housekeeping took our towels everyday even if they were hanging up and never left new ones. Had a cockroach two different days. Was told it was due to the rain, but good pest control would prevent them from coming in in the first place. Asked about utilizing the grill and was told they had all the tools and everything. When we went to use it, there wasn’t a lighter. Trash wasn’t picked up multiple days. The cooktop took about an hour to even start to warm the water, but never got it to a boil.

The room was as clean as need be. There were some spots that they missed but what made like the bathroom and kitchen were cleaned properly.
My family liked the breakfast and the staff were both helpful and friendly. I will use the same place again.

We will not be staying here again. Pros: We liked having a kitchenette in the room. They had complimentary bags of ice at the front desk because the ice makers in the small fridge don’t make very much. The beds and pillows were pretty comfy. The breakfast had some good scones but those cleared out very fast. Cons: We had to have our room keys rekeyed at least 5 times because they stopped working. There is only one elevator for the whole hotel. It takes forever and is very small. The stairs are on complete opposite ends of the elevator if you decide you don’t want to wait it out. The pool is VERY small so if more than two or three families are out there it would be crowded. No towels at the pool. Pool had balls of hair stuck to the filter at the bottom and on the pool deck. Now for the room; we put up our “No Housekeeping Needed” door hanger up while we went out on our first day only to come back to one bed made, trash emptied, and our towels that we had hanging up gone. Wouldn’t have been a huge deal but our towels were not replenished, so we had nothing but a hand towel. We went to the front desk to ask for towels and were told they were all being washed. As a hotel I don’t understand how ALL the towels can be dirty. We did finally get some later in the day but had to go back to front desk and ask again. Shower had mildew built up on walls, so did fan. Looked like shower liner hadn’t been changed in a long time. Hotel didn’t smell great either. Not impressed.

The hotel itself was clean. Everything worked fine in our room. The staff was pleasant. My only issue with this hotel itself was breakfast. I've been to several hotels and when advised breakfast is from 7am until 9:30am I expect food to still be served until that time. Most of the food was gone. Nothing was replenished except for coffee. From my previous hotel experiences the staff working the kitchen would notice food is low, Notice people are still eating and replenish the food until 9:20. They did not. Overall definitely worth the money. Pretty damn close to the beach and other festivities.

The staff was nice except on the last night of our 7 day stay we ask for a roll of toilet tissue which we never received. The rooms were clean. The only problem We had were the quests above. They were very noisy from around 6:30 in the am until around 4:00 am at night. They were constantly running, jumping, slamming doors etc. The only quiet time was the few hours when they left during the day. This happened every day we were there.Other than that the Hotel was great.

This hotel's online reviews are completely misleading. The property is filthy, understaffed, and mismanaged. After an 8-hour drive, we were met with a hostile environment. No front desk employees smiled; they treated guests as a burden. Our room had a musty smell and looked entirely uncleaned, covered in grime, human hair, and animal fur because they don't tell you that every room is a pet room. Online photos are deceptive; the room is much smaller in person.Major safety and structural hazards were present: active mold above the bathroom ceiling, peeling paint, a stained tub, and a broken refrigerator leaking water.The entry door handle was broken, and our room was next to a heavy exterior exit door.Because walls offered zero soundproofing, the door slammed loudly all night, making sleep impossible.Customer service was shockingly bad.There were no pool towels, and when we asked for room towels,the worker rudely interrogated us.Another employee walked around playing an audiobook out loud on speaker.When confronted about the filth, staff did not care. They refused to clean our room that day or relocate us, handed us a vacuum to clean the room ourselves, and denied us cleaning spray, as it was against policy. Basic hygiene is ignored;a trash worker touched public door handles with dirty gloves. Even the advertised evening social was a joke, consisting of cheap chips while staff stared us down. I could write three pages on why not to stay.I have more to say.Avoid this nightmare.

This is where my husband and I stay every time we come to the Gulf Shores area. The air conditioning is cold, the beds are so comfortable, the free breakfast is delicious and the staff is top notch. We are always treated like family. Our room is always clean. We never hear any noise. The staff always does their best to accommodate all of our needs. Thank you and we’ll be back again. The staff was excellent considering they had no records of my already paid for reservation. Took extra time getting checked in due to this. Thankfully, they were able to get us another room.
Our suite had miscellaneous tiny holes in the bathroom and one behind the door in the bedroom. Kind of strange, but it did not appear to having anything inside of the holes.
Shower took a while to warm up on the fourth floor. The couch and chairs were hard as rocks, however the beds were comfortable. For as much as we paid for a suite, I do not think I would book again.
First night of our stay, we could hear the neighbors coughing. The next night, a dog kept barking so the sounds do travel from room to room, keep in mind.
This is not a representation of the staff though. They were quick to fix our reservation issues and were very professional and friendly. The facilities could definitely use some repairs though, and there needs to be some sort of organization between the hotel and Expedia.

Room was dirty, kitchen utensils had food caked on them, pillows & sheets were dirty on one bed, our keys did not work and all but 1 time we had to go back down to front desk to get them fixed-it was the actual door lock but they never offered to try to fix or move us; we paid $75 for a dog fee but the dog area did not have anywhere for adults tp sit & was dirty from people not picking up after their pets. Very disappointed as I could have stayed at other pet friendly hotels that did not charge and had a pet yard with seats & obstacles for dogs. Free breakfast was normal but the hot items were just room temp & not that great! They do pickup & block off right at 9:30 & do not mention they are picking up just in case you want to get anything else & are sitting there eating.

This property was great! The room comes with plates, bowls, silverware, pots and pans, glassware. Everything you need! Ice maker in the fridge! Complementary bags of ice for your cooler! The bed is the softest I have ever slept on. You just melt right into it! The breakfast boasted of sausage links, scrambled eggs, toast, muffins, waffles, bagels, oatmeal, fresh fruit, various juices, soft drink fountain, and coffee! We will absolutely stay there again. I give them a big 10!!!!

The place was decent to stay, though could use an upgrade for the rooms. The window had only one drape so we couldn’t block out the patio in the back. The one TV didn’t really work while there. The rooms had standing fans which one didn’t oscillate, one of the beds were so hard, no one slept well at all. It served it purpose though could use an update.

The only drawback to the room is that it needed more seating for the bar/counter (only had 1). The staff was very friendly. Having breakfast available is a huge plus. We got there to check in. The lady was slow to come to the front. Then she left, instead of finishing up my check in she left me with someone else. Though the lady was nice. We had issues getting into the room. Then we finally enter the room and the room isn’t as clean as it could’ve been. There were food pieces on the kitchen floor and the carpet in the room wasn’t swept or vacuumed. You guys need to do a better job before letting guest in to be sure the cleanliness of the room.

The first impression I had was no good. The lobby smelled awful, like a dog run. The employees were very nice upon check in. Entering the elevator the corner was caked, at least 1/4” deep, in the corners and there was French fries swept into these areas too. Our room, 4th floor, smelled the whole trip like moldy Laundry. The halls were not cleaned or kept at all. Housekeeping did not bother to clean the carpets on the floors as I watched for 4 days (housekeeping supervisor career wise) but I did witness the staff mopping around the dinning area. The breakfast area was very clean and well stocked. The food was tasty. They did offer a social hour 3 days of the stay which I thought was equally awesome. The pool was very nice. The grounds crew did a great job of cleaning while I was there.
I did extend my stay by one night. My honest review is I would stay again. I would take cleaning supplies with me to freshen up the room.

The room was spacious and clean. The perfect size for a family with teenagers. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms came at an affordable price. The staff were nice and accommodating. The hotel is in a great spot, less than 15 minutes from the beach. My concerns was there was no housekeeping done when we were there. The sign stated light housekeeping would be completed Monday-Friday. I had to take the trash out and get new trash bags multiple times and always getting our own towels, while leaving the old ones outside for someone to pick up on the way through. Otherwise, front desk was friendly and room was nice.

Room was clean but also smelled like the hall (wet/dirty ash tray). Found another hotel room very close to the beach for nearly the same price. Staybridge was way over priced for what we got. When my family and I arrived it looked AMAZING from outside. Checkin was okay the front desk lady wasn’t real friendly but I figured bc she was busy. First she said there’s an ice maker in the room but it’s slow so we have a complimentary bag you can grab..okay cool we walked around to the elevator which took 10-15mins to get to the first floor. (Elevator was slow every time) We get to our room there’s water in the middle of the floor in the kitchen..apparently from the refrigerator. I called the front desk she said it’s not a leak ma’am it’s just left over ice I asked for another room she refused, instead she came to wipe up the “ice water”. My kids were so excited to get in the pool..it was hair all in the pool like no one had cleaned it. We made it back to the room to shower. The tub filled with water. The water wasn’t draining properly so we showered in a puddle of water UNACCEPTABLE. Not worth $394.00 at all. We checked in at 3:47pm central time and checked out at 2:00am central the very next morning. Didn’t even stay 12hours! We couldn’t take it anymore!! I would not recommend!!!!

When you have a lot of people visiting for vacation, it makes the elevator situation a little hectic. Also was no air conditioning on the elevator. Overall, was a pleasant stay.

I gave the overall experience a 3 star due to the AC in our room we checked on Tuesday afternoon to a room that had an ac that was blowing cool air not cold thermostat in the room showed 76 degrees and it felt muggy. Went downstairs the receptionist told me that they didn’t have anyone to check the room due to being late. She said she can give us a fan which she did. Long story short ac somewhat worked after they checked it. Still had to use the fan. Other than that I like the hotel it’s and nice breakfast is good!! And social hour as well. Oh be ready to wait for the elevator it’s slow!! Haha

The hotel was in a nice spot and quiet. Upon entering our room there was unpleasant odor and it was very hot. I could not get the air temp to reach 68 throughout my entire stay. I did not inform the front desk. My fault! The hotel clearly has a towel shortage because getting towels daily was an issue. The hotel staff were very nice, fast check-in, and great customer service. Just fix the air, clean the rooms so they don’t have leftover pet or human odors, and have more towels available for guests! Food was good! Pool looked nice. Elevator was slow and always backed up but that can be overlooked if everything else is fine.

Our stay was great to the point we stayed an extra day. There were two minor things that happened. The system was down so I had to leave copies my debit card & ID. Our room had water on the floor by the window & we was told that we could switch rooms I told them it was okay b/c we were settled. Apparently the guests before had a cooler in the room that wasted water, overall we were pleased. The staff very pleasant. We will be visiting again.

System was down our entire stay (four nights and five days) they had to take a photo copy front and back of my credit card and my drivers license to run later when system was back up. I was not at all comfortable with that but couldn’t check in without it. Then when I went to check out and asked for a receipt so I could make sure I had proof of what they were going to charge my card they said can’t give you a receipt system still down. How in the world in today’s world is your system down for five days with no idea when it’s coming back up. Just seemed so unprofessional and janky. They do not service rooms on the weekend so if you run out of anything or need trash taken you are doing it yourself. Our phone didn’t work in our room so even if they had service we couldn’t have called for anything. There gym is not a gym it’s 3 older pieces of cardio equipment, two bench’s and some weights which they don’t even have matching weights (so if you want to use two ten pound weights your out of luck). Overall the place is clean and in a decent location. Close to Walmart, Target and restaurants and only 16 mins drive (due to traffic) to beach. I don’t have any complaints about staff everyone was nice especially the five times we had to go to the front to ask for towels and replacement trash bags so we could take our trash out. In saying all this I personally will not seek out another Staybridge hotel in future. Our stay was a running joke with a friend who stayed there as well.

Absolutely horrible! My whole family vacation was ruined and they refuse to reimburse me for it!! They offered points! My family and I checked in May 24th and checked out May 26th! The whole time there was no WiFi! The televisions didn’t work, the stoves in the kitchen didn’t work( I bought food for nothing), there was no propane, besides when we first got there our room had NO ELECTRICITY!! Everything that was promised as part of the room stay was a lie! And then I was told by the manager Rebecca that there is no corporate office to contact! She told me that they would just refer me back to her! She even had the never to ask me did I alert hotel staff there was no propane?! I do not work for the hotel that is not the guests job!! Why is hotel staff not in rotation monitoring that! Everything is up to the customer to do! The elevator was Also broke when we first arrive! Mind you there is only one elevator so you wait 5mins for it! I do not recommend staying here! I took a lot of financial losses on top of paying $624.00 for the room! And I wasn’t the only guest that stove didn’t work or tv didn’t work! Do not stay here!! I need someone from the corporate office to contact me! I want a full refund! DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A GOOD FAMILY VACATION YOULL DO BETTER AT MOTEL 6! THE PISS POOR MANAGEMENT MAKES IT WORSE! Rebecca you need to find another job you can’t manage worth crap

First trip to Gulf Shores. Hotel was about 4 easy miles from beaches and located near commercial areas and eateries. The staff was exceptional!

Good one night stay

My family of 3 stayed overnight after a long day at the water park and amusement park OWA. Staff was friendly and hotel was nice.The room had a smell to it. It’s like an odor was coming from the carpet. The beds were comfy. Towels and rags clean. No old strands of other peoples hair or anything. The tub had a few rust spots here and there. But overall the stay was good. Breakfast had nice options and the food tasted pretty decent. The breakfast staff was very attentive and constantly kept checking and cleaning the breakfast station. Overall a good stay I just did not like the smell of the carpet.

Great place.

Very clean and cozy! Staff were extremely friendly. Especially the lady that checked us in. The room size is perfect for 2 people. Actually we could’ve fit 4 comfortably. The couch laid out into a bed. We loved the lil kitchen!!! My only complaint was that the water didn’t get hot enough in the shower. Definitely a great experience at Staybridge Suites!

Only one compliant. Found very large cockroach in our kitchen. Reported to front desk they immediately came and inspected and had room sprayed the next day. Would definitely stay here again

We had the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite. It was perfect for our family of 6. For the most part it was pretty quiet as we were at the end of the hallway. I would recommend this if you are looking to stay together for a family of 6-8
