The place was clean enough for us guys. My wife would have walked out. The mattress was nice and firm. The air-conditioner is locked by staff. Which sucked. The kind folks running the place are from a much more tropical climate. So 75 degrees is fine with them. I decided not to eat the breakfast. It wasn't nasty or anything. It was yogurt packs and unfrozen muffins. I looked at the pool. It was there. Kids would like it.

This is a fantastic motel for the price. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast wasn't bad although I would have like to have some bacon with my eggs and biscuit. We will definitely stay here again anytime we have to stay overnight in Oklahoma City.

I rented a room for my mom, when she had to stay a few extra nights with her cats. They allowed me to book a room again through Expedia, and then just switched me back in the system so that She could stay in the room She was already in. I really appreciated not having to put the extra stress on her cats by moving them.

Check-in was easy and when I first got to the room, everything seemed very clean and nice. Unfortunately, the experience changed very quickly the next morning.

I woke up around 8 AM and found ants in the bed. I was planning to shower and leave, but there were also ants crawling in the bathtub. My entire body was itchy afterward, which made the situation even more uncomfortable.

I immediately went downstairs and explained the issue to the front desk employee. He said he would talk to the manager, but never even got up from his chair. I went to eat breakfast, came back down within a few minutes, and asked if anything was going to be done about the situation or if there would be any kind of refund. He acted like he barely remembered the conversation, kept nodding while looking at his phone, and repeatedly said, “Yeah, yeah, yeah, I talked to him. You get one free night here.”

I explained again that there were ants in the bed and bathroom and that I was now itchy from being bitten. I then asked if there was a manager I could speak to in person since nothing was actually being handled, and I was told the manager would not be there until the next day and that I would have to come back if I wanted to speak with him.

The ants were obviously a problem, but the dismissive attitude and complete lack of concern from the front desk made the experience significantly worse.

The bed and pillows were comfortable. There was an open used bar of soap and shampoo sample in the shower as well as a used washcloth hanging over the shower curtain rod!!!!! The TV did not work even though the front desk staff made two trips to our room in attempt to fix it. He was very apologetic. The carpet is filthy. I am surprised this hotel is in the Wyndham family of hotels.

The hallways were dingy, 1st room smelled like cheap disinfectant, 2nd room a bit better. Room was cold, heat brought it up, but no way to turn off the fan, which ran all night. Sheets were scratchy. TV didn't connect, so couldn't watch a show before going to sleep. Breakfast was pretty good, but the coffee was like used motor oil. Stay at Motel 6, and eat a good breakfast at Black Bear. Money ahead.

Check in req'd $100 cash deposit or $50 on credit card. First BAD sign. Hallway to room reeked of cleaning product, room was worse. Tried to get a refund and leave, due to booking thru Travelocity, not an option. Night mgr showed us a 2nd room, better but not 100% odor free. Late check in (9pm), so we went shortly to bed (TV didn't work, so watching a short show was not an option). Room was cold, so we switched to heat, which worked fine, but the fan was on permanently \"ON\" and could not be changed. Sheets were somewhat scratchy. Tolerable, but not good. Breakfast was pretty good, coffee was terrible. Not many choices for my spouse that has dietary issues (can usually do fruit and some cereals, but not here). Checkout required a ten minute wait for the day mgr, to get my $100 back. For all they knew, the room was trashed, as no one checked before reissuing my deposit. So the \"deposit\" was mostly a scam. Wonder how many people are in a hurry and forget... Better breakfast than a Motel 6, but for the difference in cast, you can buy a great breakfast. So, being generous, on a scale of 1-10, I give it a 3. IE, won't be staying here again (and we visit Midwest City 3-4 times a year).

We have stayed her before and the stay was nice. But it seems this hotel has been taken over by a new owner and have let things slide. I called the day of check-in to see what the latest we could check-in. He could not answer my question. We got to the hotel. The same person was at the front desk and tried to explain the issue with the A/C. It did not work. We still couldn't figure it out when we got to the room. The hallway had a bad odor. The room had a strong cleaning odor. Are they covering up something? The room was VERY warm. Finally figured out the A/C. It did not work with the wall thermostat. In the shower toilet area, the door just barely gets past the toilet. No body wash. Just shampoo and 2 body lotion. bugs flying in the room.

We will not be back to this hotel.

Didn’t realize the room I booked online was a smoking room and they said there was no other rooms available. I choose to stay in there. It smelled horrible but little air freshener helped. The hallway and elevator smelled like marijuana. About 830 ish we went downstairs and the lobby smelled like marijuana. Other than that it was pretty good

The room we were assigned to did not have a roll in shower and it was supposed to be handicap. The only solution was to use the roll in shower across the hall and stay in the room we were assigned.because the ceiling needed repair and they couldn’t rent theat room, but we could use shower. My husband has Parkinson’s and has to use a walker, that would totally not work. There was a step in bathtub in our room. So we went back down and we told the desk clerk we couldn’t stay the way because of bathroom situation. He said he would talk to manager and get back with me on refund. That was the 3rd of Feb. and have not recieved a call or message. We ended up staying at the LaQuinta Inn and everything was great there. My number is 918-230-5335 if you need to contact me. I would like my refund for the two nights.

We did have one problem with our original room, we had a little uninvited guest, but no worries management was able to get me a new room, pronto and comped me for the night as well, everybody displayed excellent customer service and other than that little hang up The food. The rooms were filthy—roaches, ants, nail clippings, dirty carpet and food from previous guests all over the floor. They were unable to provide maintenance for bugs at all. Breakfast was set up late because my elderly father HELPED them do it, and they took it down right hours before posted ending. It was like a story you read about on the internet but think “it can’t be that bad”. It was THAT bad. Front desk clerks were always on the phone arguing with others, and offered no solutions. Do not recommend and do not stay here.

1st room #216 had blood drops in front of bathroom, there were what looked liked vomit stains and neither was cleaned off carpet. This is a health risk as both blood and vomit stains that have not been cleaned up are pathogens and as I have COPD I was at risk. Reassigned room # 123 and it was better but again I noticed blood drops on carpet at head of bed. Also found bug on bed in this room. The manager was not available for me to talk to but left a message. Staff states that they have mentioned these problems to manager but nothing is done. I will never stay in a Hawthorn Hotel again. Will send pictures tomorrow

Worst Hotel ever

If I could give this hotel less than one star I would. I will leave pictures of what we found in the room. The first thing is coffee stains on the counter, proving the counter never got wiped off. The next picture is a condom, thank God it was still in the wrapper on the shelf. The last one is puke in the ice bucket. Guy at the desk cusses me several times because I was asking questions about the deposit. I have no problem paying a deposit for the room but when the paper I was signing said $15 and he was charging me $50. They also photocopied my debit card to keep on file. I will never Return to this hotel they had no busines keeping a copy of my debit card. At check out all the Manager say is I’ll talk to him. Rooms are not clean and smell like dirty nasty stinky feet would not recommend staying.

As soon as we got off the elevator there was a horrible smell in the hall! Got to our room and tiny bugs - not bed bugs - were on the bed, ac unit, and in bathroom! Also, the tv had a huge crack in it and wousl not work! That was the pet floor that made it smell soooo bad! They put us on another floor and room. It was better until we woke up the next morning and there were those little bugs in the bathroom! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

Dead bugs & LIVE roaches & lots of ants in our room! When inquiring about it, got told there’s nothing to be done about it & offered ant/roach Raid spray. Vending machine took 5 x the amount it should, when inquiring about refund…told it was not their property & it may take days, if a refund is even an option.

Our room was large and roomy, but the carpets were dirty and stained and there was black mold growing above the sink. Our room did not always get cleaned and the pool area was a safety hazard. As people came into the hotel from the pool, the floors were wet and did not get mopped.
Rather, a “caution, wet floor” sign was set up and you had to cautiously navigate around the standing water. The elevator floors were also wet from the swimmers returning to their rooms.
At breakfast, the manager was questioning people eating as to their room number!!! Also there was a sign stating that if you took a plate to your room, you would be charged $16!!!
The room was a reasonable rate, but I am not sure I would stay there again.

This hotel was just alright. We stayed there 2 years ago and it was a great facility which was why we booked them again. This time, there was barely anyone staying there which was a little red flag. The elevators and certain floors smelled like weed. That was very unappealing since we were traveling with a baby. Breakfast had to be eaten in the lobby or you were charged $30. The bathrooms needed some work and pillows were terrible. The staff was very friendly!
