We loved the old building and the quaintness of the room. The room itself was clean. The bed was comfortable, and the shower hot. The breakfast buffet had lots of variety. We were able to leave our bags to wander the city. The location is very close to the leaning tower of Pisa.

This place should be shut down. There is severe mould issue in the building. It was visible in the walls in my room (very outdated room). Large dark spots, especially in the corners. The paint was coming off the walls too. When reported the receptionist said they know they have an issue but it is ok and according to her it’s not health risk.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. There was no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage to the third floor. When we got to our room, the room was hot and the AC did not work properly to cool it off.

Great location near the tower, however we found this area overhyped with poor food compared to our 2 weeks in Tuscany we had just completed and we stayed in Pisa for our last night before our flight having never been before.
The lady at reception was very nice and friendly when we arrived. The cleanliness was good but the mattress was terrible. You could feel the springs just by laying your hand on the bed. Heard lots of water going through the pipes during the night. It did the job for one night but couldn't stay there any longer.

Great location but needs attention
Check in was great and the receptionist was lovely, friendly & organised a taxi for us. The building is lovely and rustic and location is fabulous. We had two rooms which were not close together and were tired in appearance and content, one of them desperately needed attention to the door lock and door frame. One bed was comfortable, the other not so great. Fine for one night stay. Can’t comment on breakfast as left very early.

Due to flight delay arrived after 11pm. Hotel was locked up had to ring a number and eventually was given the code to get in. Key for room at a closed reception. Realised the next morning hotel had emailed me with instructions but that hadn’t come through night before. Beds not particularly comfortable. Room was very clean. Paid for breakfast but they didn’t have it noted but not a problem. Very small Buffett breakfast nothing explained to you just a lady watching your every move but didn’t help at all. Wasn’t even shown where to take to eat. Eating area cold and uninviting. Tables not set, looked unused. Left our luggage to explore when collecting asked where the toilet was told it was out of use said I was desperate nothing offered (surely there must have been an empty room). Pleased I was only staying one night.

Perfect spot for the Tower and other landmarks in the area, less than 10 minutes away, train station 25 mins away, restaurants etc on the doorstep more or less. The only negative point, the metal bed frame was so squeaky, to a point where you are trying to sleep in same position all night, to avoid waking up the whole hotel if turning around.

The hotel and the room was very good for an overnight stay. It had everything we needed. The conditions were very good and the staff were very kind.

Staff where very helpful in regards to late check in and a map for a tour of the city. They also allowed us to leave our luggage after check out to your the city. Pisa is an amazing city, rich in Italian cultural history. Casa San Tommaso is convenient to all the important sites. Quaint but comfortable, with all the amenities, a friendly and helpful staff, and very nice breakfast, it is the perfect place for tourists to stay when visiting Pisa.

Casa San Tommaso is ideally located for exploring the grounds of Piazza del Duomo with many eateries and a mini supermarket located nearby. Our room was clean and comfortable - exactly what we needed after a busy day. Breakfast is buffet style with a small covered dining area located outside.
Just to note, if you intend to arrive after 8pm, email the hotel reception to let them know and they will send you through the access code for the door and ensure your room key is left at reception with some other useful information. We would happily recommend Casa San Tommaso.

Hotel is conveniently located, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and it's just a few steps from the leaning tower. The rooms are a bit dated though, and the hot water in the shower kept turning itself off. Breakfast is good with plenty of choices, but the eating area is very small. Without the the friendliness of the front desk and the breakfast staff, this would only be a 3 star review.

The breakfast here was amazing! There was a great array of food options. I enjoyed the room and appreciated the size of the bathroom. The room was very clean and the air conditioning worked wonders. Location, location, location! Casa San Tommaso is inside the city walls, and about 100 yards from the Field of Miracles. The convenience to site seeing was great. We had to pay $9 to park on the street (24 hour permit) in front of the B & B, but that was MUCH better than in a parking lot that lacked security. Our room was on the top floor (3rd floor; no elevator, but that was OK with us). Our room had \"character\": exposed ceiling beams, plus what looked like brick for our ceiling - the underside of the roof tiles, and a small window that was more like a sky light. The bathroom was sufficient, along with the soap/shampoo/hair dryer. The breakfast was sufficient: cheese, yogurt, cereals, bread, juice, coffee.

A very convenient location for tourist sites and breakfast was a pleasant selection although the eating area was very cramped. Very basic room with sky-light only and extremely dusty wooden roof beams overhead. Rustic feel which had pros and cons. Fresh towels daily and clean and comfy beds which were the important things!

Rooms are small, bathrooms are smaller, and the breakfast was disappointing, particularly after the coffee machine malfunctioned and could not be repaired. However, staff were very helpful and gracious, and the location is superb.

The only thing I would have like would have been a kettle and coffee in the room but there is a fridge which is great for storing cold drinks, probably more useful in the heat, and there is a drinks machine downstairs where hot drinks are only 50cents for half a cup or 1 euro for a full cup.

Like most properties in Pisa, it is an older building but I had expected that given the fact that Pisa is an ancient city. The amenities, such as the fixtures in the shower and bathroom sink could have been updated a little. I had to change rooms because the air-conditioning didn't work and the room refrigerator was leaking in the first room I was assigned to. The breakfast was adequate enough to start one's day; pastries, coffees, juices, cereal, yogurt. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned and the bed was made every day and fresh towels were left as needed.
I loved the location; it is literally within a two or three minute walk from the Piazza dei Miracoli where the city's main attractions are.

This hotel is in a great position just five minutes walk from the leaning tower. The staff were amazing and the hotel is spotlessly clean. We change rooms because of our preferences and there is no problem with this. It was extremely hot 30° plus and the air-conditioning was very effective and very welcome.We are looking forward to staying there again in the future.

Great place for your stay in Pisa. The room is spacious, clean and suitably equipped, especially with AC and a little fridge for the very hot Tuscany summer. Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10:00 am. The staff is extremely friendly and speak very good English. This place is around 2~3 minutes walk from the world-famous Piazza dei Miracoli and the Leaning Tower. Overall I was very satisfied and would totally recommend Casa San Tommaso for your stay in Pisa.

The location was perfect and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We are able to leave our luggage at the hotel although checking out at 10am as our flight was only in the evening. The bathroom was clean with a good shower. The TV only had Italian channels so I would recommend bringing a tablet/laptop. We never got a chance to have breakfast so can’t comment on that. Overall it was the perfect location for our weekend away to Pisa.
