My family and I had a great 2 nights stay at check inn Zhongshan. The reception staff were nice and friendly. The loft style room is great and comfortable. The location of the hotel is close to some great restaurants. The banquet snacks were nostalgic and delicious.

Loved the room configuration. Comfortable bed and comforters. Clean. Easy check-in. Close to Whisker cafe. Staff were nice and easy to work with (just remember this isn't a 5-star hotel, so don't expect 5-star service). We enjoyed our stay.

Only con is the w/c could use more ventilation. It had a musty smell. Overall, the hotel room was very clean.

Would stay here again.

I checked in very late and my Expedia information didn’t work so I had to use the help phone at the self checking. If you will check in after hours ask them for their confirmation number in advance to save some time. They did get me checked in quickly though.

I stayed in the executive suit on the 8th floor. The room was comfortable. The bed was soft and the temperature (April) was good. It seemed clean. The toilet is fancy.

There is a sticker on the door that says to scan for WiFi but it doesn’t actually show the WiFi info. The info is on the phone and when you turn on the tv. There’s news channels in English too which is nice.

The room is not soundproof. You can hear other guests in the hall, the person above you and traffic, even with earplugs.

The bathtub on the patio is nice but bring a swimsuit. The neighbor patio can look in and people from the opposite building too, while you are standing. Also consider mosquitoes, thus don’t leave the door open.

Last I did not enjoy the breakfast place they give you a coupon for. I got nauseas after both days of eating there so I skipped day 3.

Amazing Hotel

We arrived early from Taichung HSR around 2, check in only after 3pm. Check in is fast with front office assistance. Hotel is beautiful, but room are not big.

Front office staffs are courteous and provided us the taxi bookings for sun moon lake, zhongshe garden and Alishan.

Hotel is neaby Yizhong Night market, walking distance to Miyahara Ice Cream.

The staffs are extremely courteous and warm welcoming.

The room is spacious and nice.

Cleanliness is good. Amenities are ok.

Breakfast have to walk to another hotel to get it as their kitchen is down for further notice. It’s optional to have them daily as it’s most suitable for local spread. We only have it for day 1 and we went to source for different breakfast places.

Very good location near a few night markets and those want to get famous local bakery back to own country.

Overall very nice experience with them and the room we stayed for 4 nights.

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights. The room was so comfortable!! We slept really well, the shower water pressure was great, and the air conditioning was strong. The breakfast is delicious (about a 5 minute walk to another hotel). The best part was how kind and helpful the staff were! They helped us book a private driver to Qingjing Farm and Sun Moon Lake and it was less expensive than everything I found online! Plus the driver was GREAT and very knowledgeable about both areas and helped cater the trip to exactly what we wanted to do! Highly recommend staying at this hotel!

住了國內外超過百間飯店，原本擔心小飯店會不習慣。但此行非常開心，床很舒服，浴缸有點小但已足夠，廁所和淋浴也獨立空間。櫃檯小姐服務滿分，因最近天氣寒冷，還提醒我和家人如有被單不夠暖或是需要電暖器可以隨時告知。也提供附近餐廳以及夜市路線。雖然不知道櫃檯人員的姓名，但是謝謝您。讓累了一天晚到的我和家人感覺非常貼心。下次必會再訪。

The overall experience was pretty good. Front desk staff were always so friendly helping us with the door and directions. The hotel is rather new. The room we had was a bit too small, on top of the fact that there was no wardrobe, we had a little change to open two suitcases in the room which we got around still. I would definitely recommend the hotel and i would come back again, with a bigger room of course. Lol.

it was a very memorable staying even for one night only. I was attracted by the decoration of this hotel at the first sight and chose because of the bathtub. Finally, I was upgraded to the loft upon checkin at the late night and enjoyed a very comfortable relaxing bath with bath salt provided. it is really a surprising touch to me. The hotel is really decent and the service are warm. The lobby is not really big but enough for you to tidy up The lobby is not really big but enough for you to repack your luggage and gather with your friends. I will definitely return and recommend this hotel.

Hotel Petrichor is located in the older parts of Taichung, a walkable distance from Fourth Credit Union/Miyahara Ice Cream and Taichung station. My classic double room was clean, albiet lighting was a bit dim and the wall hangers were a bit hard to use. Staff was very friendly, and there is an option for a massage (didn’t try this) and to book a car to take you to Rainbow Village/Gaomei Wetlands (would have been good to know that this existed before I booked a half day tour). All in all, a pleasant stay at Hotel Petrichor.

The hotel is relatively new but everything looks VERY used for its age. Materials chosen are not high quality. Lots of mosquito blood streaks left on the wall and we killed a couple while we were there. There was a strong unpleasant smell during our stay there. There is no washroom door, and the shower area is very tight.

The room was really spacious and looks clean enough... until one night I dropped a really small item to possibly under the bed. It was dusty and there was an old bedroom slipper under the bed.

Breakfast was filling enough, there are many food places nearby as well. Overall would recommend this hotel. Next time when I visit Taichung I wouldn't mind staying at Petrichor again.

新淨，裝修有品味，但房間比想像中少。地點位於舊區，但行8分鐘能到達台中車站，如要坐火車，就很適合。員工有禮和善，性價比高。
可惜，是房內沒有衣櫥，只有牆壁上三個掛鉤。廁所裡卻沒有掛鉤。空調不能調校想要的風力及溫度，而且整晚直吹向頭部，可能有人會受不了。廁所燈的開關不在廁所門附近，是在大門口位置，這點也很奇怪。室外的浸浴池很大，如果要注滿的話，會浪費很多水，只浸了一次，還只是三分一滿，因為有點罪惡感....

Very clean and nice hotel. Location is not as busy and convenient as other locations in Taichung. Taichung currently do not have subways and underground transportations so the only way to travel around the city is by bus or taxi. This place is 30 minutes away by taxi from fengjia night market and other site seeing places. If you want to stay in areas close to tourist attraction by walking, this place is not for you. Otherwise, this newly renovated hotel is a good find.

Stylish boutique hotel in the Central District.

New hotel in the Central District, close to the train station. Very stylish design with high quality materials. I choose a Classic Double, but would pick a bigger room next time for more than one night.
Staff was great, very friendly and helpful. Didn't eat breakfast there, but there are a few cute places nearby. Mi & Co a few blocks up Taiwan Road was very nice and the bakery down the street as well.
The neighborhood is older, but starting to see more new businesses come in. More creative type stores seems to be moving to the area. Plus easy to get around using the city buses, which seem to be free for short distances.
I would stay here again for sure.

部屋は写真の通りに魅力的でした。清潔に保たれており、電気ケトルやコップも使いやすかったです。場所は台中駅から伸びる大通りに近いので、バスを利用した観光にとてもべんりでした。
浴槽と部屋の仕切りがブラインダー1枚でなので1人での利用か、家族やカップルでの利用以外は事前に心構えが必要だと思います。

設備完善，燈光設計讓人放鬆，全屋整潔、乾淨，棉被保暖，每天附兩瓶礦泉水。
浴缸適合單人泡，開放式空間很有氣氛。
免治馬桶似乎裝設有問題，和一樓廁所同一機型，這台噴射位置偏上，按停止開關不會停止會換後方噴。
蓮蓬頭支架太鬆，導致蓮蓬頭無法順利固定角度。
希望裝設防盜門栓讓獨行旅客更安心。

飲食店（安い）も近くにあって何回も通った。第2市場にも近く朝から廉価な食事がとれた。
部屋は清潔で満足でしたが、やや狭くテーブルがないのでちょっと不便。シャワーと浴槽が離れているので不便、シャワー室の床排水が遅く床に水が溜まっています。
隣の部屋のシャワーの音（床に落ちる水の音）が気になった。
とはいえ満足できる快適なホテルでした、★4つです。
