Outstanding stay in every sense. The staff was amazing, friendly, accommodating to all needs. The room with balcony was beautiful and impeccably decorated and clean. The location was perfect for walking to all the major attractions, shops and restaurants. In five days I only took 1 cab outside of trip to and from airport. I will definitely return.

I had stayed at Hotel de Montesquieu a couple of years ago and truly enjoyed it as a charming boutique property, which is why I chose to return. Unfortunately, this time was the complete opposite of my previous experience.

Upon arrival, I was shocked to discover that the hotel’s AC system was out of service. Management did not notify guests in advance, and we were only informed after check-in — an unacceptable lack of transparency for a hotel of this level.

To make matters worse, when I had to reach under the bed to retrieve something that had fallen, I was appalled to find heavy dust and dust balls accumulated there. This level of cleanliness is simply inexcusable.

Overall, what was once a delightful stay turned into a very disappointing and frustrating experience. The lack of honesty about the AC situation and the poor housekeeping standards make it difficult to recommend this property anymore.

This hotel is so beautiful - wow - the rooms are gorgeous - the service impeccable - sooo safe - probably the most safe I’ve ever felt while traveling in Europe. They keep the hotel front door locked at night and they keep your keys safe for you as you leave the hotel. The rooms are gorgeous - so huge and the bed is so comfy 😭 I stayed at a 1700 dollar hotel in Aix en Provence and I slept better at this hotel than I did at that hotel and this hotel room was only 400 or so. There is no restaurant at the hotel but they do have a pretty good breakfast and they bring you juices and macaroons just such a sweet experience. Just so happy with this hotel. I will absolutely be coming back.

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous decor, lovely rooms and great location and best of all, the best service I’ve ever received in Paris. Front desk was consistently helpful kind and professional - not always the case at all in France! For example I called and asked if there was any possibility to get my room earlier so I could get changed before my meeting - they upgraded me to a lovely suite just to accommodate my early arrival. Highly recommended and actually a great price too.

Hidden gem

We had a lovely visit that checked all of our boxes. Larger room, quiet, clean, hardwood floors, bathroom with solid high quality fixtures, bathrobe, windows that open and black out curtains. The staff was always available and very helpful. The hotel is tucked away on a one way street in a neighborhood close to tourist attractions but not “too touristy “.

My husband and I went to Paris to take our wedding photos, and we were very lucky to get upgraded to the deluxe suite, which is super spacious to accommodate our luggage/outfits, and for my makeup artist to do my hair and makeup in a very spacious bathroom with great lighting. The location is excellent, it's very quiet and safe, while only 5 mins walk to Champs-Élysées. The hotel is clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed we stay there. We will definitely book this hotel again when we go back to Paris next time.

Very Quaint Boutique Hotel

Rooms were very spacious, beds were very comfortable, great bathroom lighting. Hairdryer did not have a long enough cord to reach the mirror and the outlet was on the floor. Very comical positioning trying to use the hairdryer. Fortunately the weather was cool outside so we kept the balcony door open to cool the room. AC did not provide cold air. Also note that the hotel advertises a lobby bar but it is actually a shelf with liquor bottles and glasses but no mixers and no bartender. Room service is food ordered from a restaurant around the corner.

This boutique hotel was perfect for our stay in Paris. The lobby is charming, and the morning breakfast was lovely. The room was stylish, clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff is exceptional - friendly, helpful and so kind. A short walk to the Metro and shopping, we would stay here again!

Bathroom was very small, especially the shower over the bath. The water flooded both the bath (ankle deep when showering) and the bathroom. Couldn’t bath baby due to the toilet position. Aircon also didn’t work - had it on 18deg the whole time, room was consistently at 24deg. Disappointing especially when how much the room cost.

What a gem of a hotel! Great location close to Champs Élysées. On a very quiet street and heard nothing over 3 nights. We had a suite which was very comfortable and spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Absolutely no complaints and I consider myself a fussy traveller. Would definitely stay here again.

Very Good location. The staff were friendly , welcoming and pleasant. Having pastries and fruit available to guests to help themselves is a really nice touch. The rooms were clean and pleasant enough though it could do with a little bit of touching up but I found the WiFi poor. Far too slow and not what I would have expected of a hotel in an international city like Paris. A bigger selection of English channels on TV and to have in room coffee making facilities would have been nice. Other than that I was happy with the hotel.

Wonderful hotel located within a proverbial stone's throw of the Arc de Triomphe. Staff was always welcoming and accommodating to our requests (for example: their kitchen was closed, but they still went the extra mile to provide pastries and dessert options at a late hour).

Additionally, I always felt very safe and well cared after during my entire stay. Would EASILY recommend this property to anyone wanting a fantastic stay within Paris.

From the moment we walked through the door we loved the warm, attentive and personal service we experienced from all hotel staff. The reception, bar and restaurant area is beautifully decorated and the room we stayed in was just what we'd been looking for - comfortable with a large bed, bath, bright and quiet. Our room was large and clean. Beautifully decorated. Bed was very comfy. It had everything we needed. The hotel was located near the Champs-Élysées- so a short walk to all the shops but the hotel itself is in a quiet street so there was no noise in the evening. Hotel staff were lovely - very friendly and accommodating and would have a quick chat with us each time we came and left the hotel. Very personalised service. We went over Easter time so the hotel even left artisan chocolate Easter eggs on our pillow! Housekeeping was thorough with very quick turn around times. Would recommend without hestitation. It was my first time in Paris and the perfect place to say for a couple of days to get a taste of the city!

Lovely weekend in Paris

Charming place. Great service. Lovely breakfast. Short walk to Champs Elesse one block to Metro. We wanted to go to two locations and the lady at the front desk provided detailed directions to each. All the staff took the necessary time to insure we had every thing needed. It will be our first choice for the next visit to Paris.

Attentive, welcoming staff at an intimate property

The moment I stepped out from my ride with my luggage, a gentleman (who reminded me a bit of Eddie Redmayne) jumped out from nowhere, gently took said luggage from my hands and greeted us with a sincere, welcoming smile. That first encounter defined the rest of my short stay at Hotel Daniel. The staff were very attentive and were quick to get the door, the chair, the elevator and such, and provided small services before we could think of asking for them. The 'classic double room' was considerably more spacious than the ones we'd had near the Louvre at a similar rate. Although my mother was more inclined towards hotels with \"modern\" decor, I preferred the intimateness Hotel Daniel offered. The stay felt a bit like being invited to a friend's mansion and staying in one of the guestrooms!
My only regrets are that 1) our stay was so short, 2) I missed the chance to get the gentleman's name, 3) and that I had forgotten to ask whether an English version of the Relais&Chateaux book was available. After my stay at Hotel Daniel, I'm very willing to try other R&C destinations!

Decent hotel but could do better

Positive: very good service, room was available in the morning for early check in. Negative: one broken lamp and shower head leaking but they were quickly fixed. Bed is a bit short (maybe 1.90m, 2m Long max) and not Super comfortable. Wifi did not work during an evening apparently because some road works nearby had created an outage. Room decor is very traditional, a bit too much in my opionion.

Great location. Fabulous hotel. Can't fault it.

Just a lovely hotel. Great location near the Champs Elysees; metro stations; restaurants; shops. Whilst I had a small room, it was beautifully appointed. Very quiet. Lovely Molton Brown bathroom amenities. A great shower, which whilst in the bath rather than being separate, had great pressure and volumes of hot water.

I didn't eat in the hotel as was there on business and ate elsewhere but had numerous cups of tea and aperitifs etc which always came beautifully arranged and with nibbles.

All in all, a great experience and I'd definitely go back again.

Refined, sophisticated gem in the heart of Paris

This hotel is just plain fabulous. It is within a comfortable walking distance or short cab ride of most major sites in Paris yet tucked away on a quiet street. The staff is amazing and helpful. The restaurant was perfect. Our suite was elegant and comfortable, and we could have entertained 2-3 others for drinks if the need had arisen. And to top it all off, Omar Sharif was sitting in the salon smiling at me at one point during our stay. We will stay here from now in when we visit Paris.

Comfy hotel close to The Champs Élysées

Extremely helpful staff, excellent food ( blue prawns from New Caledonia - not your average prawn cocktail ! ; breakfast scrambled egg was yummy ) and v comfy rooms. Decor was fabulous - Japanese style, painted in the lift. No gym or jacuzzi so if that's what you want, go elsewhere! Expensive, but staff and food are superb.

Så trevligt och personligt bemötande av personalen. Min dotter och jag bodde i suite Montesquie och uppskattade det verkligen. Trevligt inrett, sköna sängar, stort badrum med både dusch och badkar. Läget på hotellet är lugnt och lite avskilt men väldigt bra centralt läge i 8:e arr, nära Champs Elysee. Ligger en metro på gångavstånd med linje som går direkt till CDG. Vi tog taxi från flygplatsen fredag eftermiddag och det rekommenderar jag inte, det tog 2,5 h istället för 30 min med metron. Hur som helst hotellet var supermysigt vi uppskattade det verkligen! Vi kan tänka oss att återvända.

Equipe extremamente gentil, prestativa e educada! A localização do hotel é excelente! Reservei uma das maiores suítes do hotel. De fato, seu tamanho era ótimo! Entretanto, o quarto era muito escuro, o tapete da sala estava bem sujo e manchado, o chão do banheiro também estava extremamente manchado e a limpeza era ruim. Sujeiras que havíamos visto na primeira noite permaneceram no banheiro até o quarto dia! O café da manhã é bem fraco e a academia praticamente inexiste!
