Great location. Room a bit cramped but good value and perfectly adequate.
Breakfast very disappointing - virtually the same plate every morning but with one extra not very appetising or healthy option - cold pasta, cold chips, cold deep fried pastry, cold potato salad.
Not the delightful buffet of delicious breads and jams and cheeses etc that I have loved in Turkey in the past. A shame. Bring back the buffet!

My most important review is that the travelers (especially solo female ones) need to be aware of one male receptionist who was extremely rude to me multiple times. I am not sure what triggered that man, but that was the worst experience in Turkey for me. He threatened me and made me feel unsafe. I had no choice but to stay there, I wish I had an option to move elsewhere since there are lost of other budget friendly places in that area.
I would not recommend this place to anyone who cares about being treated with respect and dignity.

The heating was terrible. Breakfast bad. The wall is damaged and not fully painted. You can not allow using the kitchen during the day and night. The stair was not safe. The bathroom was clean but didn't have a bidet or water hose.

Room was clean & comfortable. Small, but sufficient. Good shower. Reliable WiFi. Great location in nice neighbourhood, walking distance to all in Sultanahmet, ferry terminals & Galat Tower. Breakfast was filling, & the terrace had nice views, but a bit of background music would have made it more comfortable/improved the atmosphere.
More of a guesthouse with dorms than a hostel (which wasn't a bad thing for us).

Rooms were decent, clean. Annoyed that I booked separate rooms for my father and I and they we’re supposed to be identical but they ended up giving him a room with a single bed with a bunk which was not a good fit for him. After we asked about it they just shrugged it off and said it will still be the same price

Charming hostel in the old city of Istanbul

The antique hostel never disappoints, has a great view from their Terrace where a delicious Turkish breakfast is served consisting of cheese olives eggs some fresh herbs fruits accompanied by coffee or tea. I have stayed at this property before and will certainly stay here again when I am here in Istanbul. The staff more than accommodating happy to see me as a returning customer arrange for covid test and any extracurricular activities I may have needed.

The 4 bed dormitory was okay ! Tiny but you could sleep in peace . I liked the common area , you could go anytime you want . Staff were nice but a little cold but I guess that's the case all over İstanbul . Breakfast was weak , it can hold u up for 1h or so .

Antique Hostel.
Very nice small hostel, clean and well kept.
A super friendly accommodating staff, from reception to the breakfast team.
The hostel is conveniently located within easy walking distance of all major sites in the area of Sultan Ahmet.
Close to the super clean modern tram line, where going one way you reach the Grand Bazaar , and going the other way just three stops away you reach the Spice Market.

A rooftop terrace with sweeping views, and breakfast is served every day. Overall very comfortable affordable place, highly recommended as a good base from which to explore the city

Modern conveniences at the Antique Hostel

Antique hostel located on quiet back street, close to main attractions of Istanbul Sultanhamet area. Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia a short walk away, tram stop 10-minute walk away. With restaurants shopping all in close proximately this is the perfect location. A great value for a afforadable hostel, with a seaview terrace where a breakfast is served every day. Helpful front desk staff, clean rooms with en-suite shower and toilet.
The restaurant will be opening soon having closed due to covid shutdown.

A perfect place from which to explore Istanbul. A great value for budget accommodations with the combination of dorm rooms, private doubles, triples and quads. Close by on the streets are convenience stores, shops and eating and drinking establishments.

Overall I would certainly recommend this hostel to anybody looking for clean affordable accommodations. Top Notch staff

Obviously you get what you pay for. I had conversations with other guests too who were nice. Staff were friendly and helpful and gave you things when requested. But... the room wasn't quite prepped for us ie insufficient beds made up, toilet smelly, bunk beds had steps missing making it difficult to rise up. Any complaints were dealt with and the breakfast was a good spread but didn't appeal to my fussy kids!

Location is great, people are kind and generous, i could store my bags without hassle, the breakfast offering which is included in the stay is gorgeous and delicious, the dining area is spectacular, there is a common area for lounging and doing work, and a delicious restaurant with a generous and friendly owner to eat at for dinner.

Nothing really amazing, I wish there was, one Thing I was surprise of is Istanbul, a Cab out the airport Itakurt car be 40 or most 45 but out the Hostel is 70, prices very so much. I was disappointed about this. Please be careful with prices. For anything outside the Hostel. I understand every one wants to make an extra buck, but double is insane.

Great hostel in the perfect location! Just steps away from the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. Very clean, fresh towels daily and a nice breakfast included. Really nice and helpful staff. We stayed for a week in a private room which was very large and comfortable with a mini fridge and lock box. Couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Met lots of really nice fellow guests. Beautiful view from the lounge and rooftop. Don’t hesitate to book here. Wonderful!

Great stay in the heart of Istanbul

Our stay at Antique hostel was fantastic. The rooms were clean and tidy. There is a rooftop terrace with breathtaking views. Breakfast was very good and was free with the room which was awesome. You really can't get a room with a better location, it is a 3min walk to the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia and other major landmarks. We will definitely stay here again.

Great budget option in the tourist centre

I had a very late check-in (past midnight) but encountered absolutely no issues. The rooms and beds were fine, but the shared bathrooms were a bit run-down. The hostel is very close to the Blue Mosque (2 minute walk), so expect to be woken by the morning call to prayer. Breakfast was nice, with a gorgeous view of the sea, although drinking water was not included and I had to pay extra.

The hostel is located a 2-minute walk from the Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. The area is very touristy and as of August 2017, you should feel totally safe. I was doing solo female travel and arrived in the middle of the night - there were plenty of people around and I felt completely safe.

All in all a really great option for a cheap stay in Istanbul :)

Awesome location !

Location was awesome, located on a side street just a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sohpia and the tram stop. Breakfast was great, lots of choices. Roof top patio had great views. Tons of restaurants and shopping close by. Bedding could be improved. The bottom sheet had a few holes, was not fitted and kept coming off the bed. Shower definitely needed to be redone, there was mold there. Overall my stay was good. Would stay again, price was great for location !

The hotel staff was great and very accommodating, the hotel matches description and breakfast was good. It's 40 mins from the airport on the train and the train is easy to use. The hotel area is full of old type hotels and hostels and it's walking distance to the mosques and Topkapi palace. Food in the area is good. The grand bazaar is walking distance. Taksim can be reached using the tram plus a small walk.

I would recommend the wifi modem to be placed closer to the rooms downstairs

This property has outstanding housekeeping staff. They were exceptionally helpful when we request a couple of extra items for our stay. I rarely recommend a hotel over another based on the housekeeping staff but this staff made our stay as comfortable as possible. I applaud them.

Quaint Hostel, close to sights and food!

Found the hostel in a quiet alley behind a busy, tourists part of Sultanhamet. The room was clean and cosy, and the amenities were great. Highlight of this place is definitely the breakfast. Every morning is a big spread of fresh coffee, vegetables, fruits, yoghurts, cereals, bread and feta cheese!

Your average hostel, somewhat dirty, but has all the basic necessities. HOWEVER, what gives this hostel a little extra in ratings are it's fabulous location near the big touristy stops in the Old City, and the awesome buffet breakfast served. Hostel is 2.5/5...however the price, location, and breakfast bump it up to 4 in my opinion. If you use it simply for a bed and shower kinda deal after a busy day of touring the sites, this is a great choice.

I stayed a few nights in dorm then 2 nights in double room. First of all dorm room is very clean 6 bed dorm is very convenient. Bathrooms are shared and sufficient for all guest. Double room has private ensuite clean and comfy. Breakfast including with magneficent ocean view. I have been there in winter but i can tell this place must be perfect in summer. Istanbul is lovely city.

Unbeatable for the price

Perfect location in the heart of Sultanahmet, and at a terrific price. I booked the four bed hostel room for $15 a night, with a pretty good breakfast included. For a solo trek to Istanbul, this hostel cannot be beat for location, price, and service. I came down with terrible food poisoning my last day and the staff was pretty helpful about letting me stay in the room past check-out time and making me some tea in the common room/cafe area while I laid on a bench.

Awesome location and nice terrace

The shower is annoying because there's no curtain so the whole bathroom gets wet. The location is tricky to find but exceptionally well placed for all tourist attractions. Breakfast is buffet style and pretty complete considering it is included. The hotel also offers guests free books on Sufism and its interpretation of Islam for anyone interested. The rooftop terrace makes for a nice breakfast location. Lunch can also be purchased at their \"restaurant\" but things are usually missing from their menu. Overall, I'd recommend this place.

Wasn't expecting too much for the hostel. The hostel is located in the hidden street but it was that difficult to find it once you know the area well. It is very easy to get to everywhere we need. Blue Mosque+ Hagia Sophia are just five minutes nearby and so is the tram stop. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of breakfast. Roof top cafe is just cheery on the cake. The only criticism is the condition of hostel, but hey it is worth for the price we paid.

If you only have a few days in Istanbul the location of this hostel is perfect to site see. The hostel was about a 5 minute walk from most of the major sites. The staff was also extremely helpful and accommodating. The only thing that might be an issue was the maintenance of the room and showers which are kind of worn down, but for the price you pay it's definitely doable. There were 4 of us dorming and we were able to get a room to ourselves which was nice.

This hostel could not be more conveniently situated for all the major tourist sites of Istanbul. Generally the staff were really helpful and the complimentary breakfast completely adequate. Our room was quite ropey with neither light working but this didn't prove a problem as the street lamp outside the window offered sufficient lighting. It does feel budget so if you want something go elsewhere but we were happy with what we paid for.

This place was cool! Right next to all that you want to see in Istanbul. The staff let us use their computer to print up some visa forms which was super helpful. The upstairs dinning area and lounge area is super nice with lots of space and views of the ocean. One of the staff made us breakfast to go at 5 am, and it was tasty ( I forget his name, sorry)!. The place felt great from beginning to end! Thansk!

I stayed in the 6 bed dorm for three nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a very nice view from the terrace. I would sit there with a book and some tea in the evenings. It's location is perfect if you want to explore sultanahmet, and other historical places in the vicinity.

The staffs are nice and helpful in the hostel. Our room has a balcony that opens to the next building, which seemed abandoned and devastating. Our shower head was apparently broken and shot water everywhere, including the ceiling! Otherwise, it is not too bad with the price. Oh, and please try not to book the airport shuttle with any of the hostel/hotel in the area. Our shuttle came 20 mins late and was then driving around for another 30 mins before it actually headed to the airport!! Other people in our shuttle were there before us and super upset. We think the driver doesn't know where he's going because he was driving around the same spots again and again.

A localização é ótima, muito próximo a Mesquita Azul , Mesquita Haya Sofia e ao Palácio Topikapi . Agora o atendimento na recepção é péssimo. Não existe nenhuma orientação para os hóspedes observarem silêncio depois das 2200 h , então alguns chegam 0100 h da manhã e acendem a luz do quarto, e fazem o maior barulho, sem se importar com os hóspedes que já estão dormindo. Tem que pagar 50 TL se quiser uma toalha ( toda puída ) . O café da manhã é bem fraco ( a senhora que atende no café da manhã é muito educada) . Não recomendo e não voltaria a me hospedar neste Hostel.

O hostel em si é otimo, recepcao, localizacao, o quarto, chuveiro e café da manhã ótimos. Apenas a cama que deixou a desejar, faz MUITO ruido em qualquer movimento que faça, o que nos proporcionou um grande incomodo. Creio que eles vao resolver isso entao ainda assim eu recomendo.

屋上からの景色や、朝食はあの料金に合わないほど良かったです。
ロッカーも無料で貸してもらえて安心でした。
家族部屋が取れれば、もっと連泊したと思います。
