Perfect location and very quiet on a night as friends stayed elsewhere and it was very noisy on a night.

The biggest drawback about the hotel is the reception staff. I’m not sure if this was a regular receptionist, as she was very young and seemingly unbothered by anything, so it’s maybe unfair to judge on her alone, but sadly this was my experience. At 1.30am one morning, I heard the door of my room being opened from the outside. The receptionist and a companion had made their way in, clearly thinking the room was empty and available. When they saw it wasn’t, for some reason they took my room key and left, meaning there was no electricity to the room. She then returned my key, but only after I called down to reception. This was added to another miscommunication incident earlier in the week, which sadly amount to - at best - a serious lack of professionalism. It’s a shame, as the hotel actually has plenty of positives, not least its location. However if you want to feel safe in your room at night, I would consider staying elsewhere.

Receptionists were very helpful - nothing was a problem. Our room was very clean, comfortable bed, ample storage & nice bathroom. Breakfast at attached restaurant was good. Location at edge of old town was great for taxi drop off & return. Overall a great experience, value for money.
The old town is full of restaurants & bars but very tired. Done the day trip to Draculas castle, Peles castle & Brasov. Also visited Palace of the Parliament both trips were excellent!

We nearly couldnt find the hotel as some of the pictures are not current. I may not have book if the pictures were updated. However the hotel was clean and warn, the room was small but adequate. There hot water was a little on and off (bloody hot then cold). The TV only had one English channel, but we wasnt there for that. The minibar was empty and it seemed that you had to get everything from reception (when there is some one there), however the owner dogged me all holiday to pay for a bottle of water that according to the booklet was free, but he didnt seem to agree. The food in the resturant was OK but the main dish was cold, when i told them they didnt remake it they just put it in the microwave that warmed the dish up but not the food. But they didnt seem bothered. Overall 6 out of 10 for me, great position on the edge of the old town and realy good price. I wouldnt return personly.

Clean hotel. Good location for bars. Breakfast only warm at best. Door often left open so cold in the bar. Everyone seems to smoke. Didn’t like would be stood outside smoking so smell would come in and then they would come in and serve food and drinks.

Food at breakfast is plentiful, with fresh coffee or hot drink just a tap on a machine away. Great location in the old town, not too far to walk to Christmas markets. Rooms clean and spacious. Would recommend staying here.

Room was clean with modern furniture. All thought very small.
Bathroom has a very horrible sewerage smell all the time . Couldn’t stay in there for long.
Cleaners very early in the morning very loud for about a hour Sounded like they were right outside our door.
We could not hear outside noise from our room .
Breakfast was ok not great but did the job .
Wouldn't stay here again as not keen on how small the room was and the bathroom smell and also the noisy cleaners.

I have emailed you multiple times and no answer...very disappointing.
We have a problem. We are a group of 5 and we checked in on the 11th. As we checked in on the 11th, Jad Khalil informed them before that he will not be staying on the 12 to 13. The receptionist confirm to us that he canceled it. Today the hotel confirmed to us that they did not charge expedia for the second day of Jad khalil. Why are you charging me? you are taking all the money...and that is not right.
The hotel did cancel the reservation of Jad Khalil but you are still getting the money from my card...the hotel have confirmed that they did not charge expedia for the 12 to 13 stay of Jad khalil. So please could you refund the one night of Jad khalil? From the 12 to the 13th!!!!If you did not answer to this email... i will have to post this on Facebook and instagram.

Upon arrival at the old town boutique hotel the street where it is situated it very run down looking and not very inviting , went upstairs to the reception area which looked nice the man on the desk not exactly a warm welcome anyway we checked in got in out room and well it certainly is not a 4* establishment patches on the walls and it’s big patches of what looked like damp that had been washed down and not repainted , the bed sheet on the single bed had holes in it the headboards on the beds were dirty , the bathroom was actually awful hair in and around the sink the inside shower on the floor the tiles are old and worn and the grout is very dirty looking the shower head all tarnished and some of the silicone pieces missing shower door don’t close properly ,the water went from normal to scalding hot then cold not a pleasant shower at all, the toilet roll holder is all rusty and disgusting with a disgusting looking toilet brush also on it , door frame in the bathroom broken and not attached to the wall , breakfast was included well that also wasn’t very nice the hot selection was cold and had been sitting from 7.30 no lids on the hot food the coffee was luke warm from a coffee machine , I would not recommend this hotel at all I wish I could attach the photos of the bedroom and bathroom this has been for me the worst hotel I’ve stayed at !!!

The hotel is very well located. Street is noisy only on week end. Staff were great. Hotel was very clean. My only concern was the mirror in the shower/bathroom. Had an incident one night when I went to the bathroom without turning on the light. As a result of that I saw a light on the other side of the mirror which was turned off few seconds after I reached the light . Was it 2 way mirror? Mentioned it to the manager however did not believe it could be possible. I would say it was a great hotel however be leery of mirrors in the shower.

Great location in the old town, close to all the key sights plus a multitude of restaurants, bars and shops.

A special shout-out to the hotel's incredibly helpful staff, who lent me an adaptor when mine broke and also arranged for me to have a packed breakfast one morning when I was doing a day trip which necessitated a very early start.

The stay was okay not the best booked queen bed and got given small double then we asked to move rooms to bigger bed they moved us then we went to new room witch had queen bed but had a small double blanket so we asked for another blanket and they give it to us but said you can make it your self and also it says luxury bedding definitely wasn’t poor quality the hotel was really hot and ac didn’t work it was very loud from other people staying and partying in room so we rang reception to ask them to speak to them so we went back to bed 10 minutes later the receptionist knocked the door and told us no one was making noise why did we ring very un professional we understand they can’t help people parting but other hotels I’ve stayed they have sorted the problem straight away

It’s a great location on the edge of the old town and does look a little run down though feels safe. It’s a lovely hotel in itself though we stayed for five nights and every single night we were disturbed until midnight at least by what sounded like tables scraping across the floor nearby ? In the hotel itself or a neighbouring property. It sounded like it was in the hotel and was dreadful trying to sleep.

Sadly we had only 1 double bed a single a a sofa bed. We were under the impression that there was 2 double beds and a sofa bed. As a group of 5 ladies we found it a challenge for 2 mature ladies to spend 4 night sleeping together on the sofa bed as it dipowd in the middle. We were expecting it to accommodate just 1 adult. Staff were lovely. We only had 4 towels one evening when we returned one e evening and when adked were told there were not any available. So a hand towel it was that night for a shower. Location is great for visiting Bucharest and the old town has lots of great bars and restaurants. We requested if a kettle was available as only coffee machine in room and were promptly goven a kettle. AC worked well and 2 x shower rooms were compact but fine for a 4 night stay. Overall if you just want a cheap base to put ur head down at night this hotel tocks all the boxes. WIFI worked well in the room.

The staff was so incredibly helpful. I wish I had gotten the main young lady’s name but she went out of her way to help us. We were there for a wedding and didn’t have a card, she happened to have one in her personal belongings that she gave us. We were also going to other parts of the country and coming back to fly out of Bucharest and she allowed me to leave my luggage there for four days! I was blown away by the hospitality!

The hotel advertises wifi in all of the rooms but as soon as we got to our room the wifi disappears. I went and asked at reception and he just said some of the rooms don’t have wifi which is ridiculous. It is also advertised as having wifi in all rooms. There’s also a lot of stairs in between the lifts including a big staircase to get to reception and the lift which is inconvenient. There was also a lot of drilling and noise throughout the day. Room is cramped.

I booked a room with a balcony with a view (Deluxe) but was given a different room (Premier) with no balcony and no views. The room overlooked another building right across the window. They said I got the best of the best rooms available because it had a bathtub instead of a shower stall. Management needs to honor room reservations or stop marketing different types of the rooms. I wouldn’t stay there again because of this as it spoiled my mood. I really wanted a balcony.

Although the hotel doesn't look that nice from the outside, the rooms are lovely and very spacious. The location is fantastic as it's close to many things in old town including tourist sites, dining options and the metro. The bus to the airport is also close by. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend.

Starting off-they double charged me as I had already booked and paid through Expedia. When I realized this, they told me since the room was non-refundable they couldn’t give me a credit for the double charge. I could understand if it was a cancellation but this was a mistake on the hotels part. Next, the AC did not work and there was hair on the bed/in the sheets. The “minibar” was left open and therefore was not cold. Not sure how long it was left open. I cannot recommend staying here to anyone.

Good location in the old town - although it’s where all the bars are we heard no noise which was good.
Comfortable room. The room was clean but the shower head hadn’t been cleaned in a long time and as it was one of those rainforest showers you could see the little clogs of black. It would take someone 5mins with a scrub brush to clean (plus then the water comes down rather than spraying in various directions)
Beds were comfortable, room was v warm
Breakfast is 10euros each, we didn’t go for it.
One off putting element was that on check in the guy (who was v nice) was asking about the trip we planned and was trying to convince us not to go on the free walking tour and to get a driver through the hotel, then to not take the train to Brasov as planned and to get a driver as it was unsafe (turned out it wasn’t) felt like we were being sold too and as we arrived at 12:30am I just wanted to check in my room. In the end i said ‘i need to go to bed now’ so i could exit the chat!

The girl on reception was lovely and very helpful. The cleaners were also friendly. The other staff, including breakfast staff, not so friendly.

I had a great stay here, its clean and the bed was comfortable. The fittings will prob need updating sometime soon but it wasnt falling apart by any means. The location is the best thing about this hotel, within the edge of the old town but still really peaceful (in the old town you have to be careful w some hotels above bars as the music pumps at the w/end). Breakfast isnt so exciting, its pretty basic but does the job.

The Old Town Boutique Hotel is centrally located with all the shopping, restaurants and cafes. We did not used public transportation only Uber and very convenient. The hotel looks new as decor very modern. Room was clean with all necessities. Staff were helpful. We did breakfast on our last day its a restaurant downstairs with good choices. Bed was pretty comfortable, shower has good water pressure only thing was a/c not working well for us.

We’ve stayed here twice - it’s a lovely little place. The only downside is that the hotel is extremely echo-y which is almost unbearable at night especially if you have rowdy neighbours which we did. They didn’t think anything of shouting down the corridors or slamming doors very late at night. I do think the hotel needs to address this by reminding guests to be considerate of their neighbours during the night. It’s the only thing that lets this place down.

The location is excellent, and the hotel restaurant is a big bonus—great food and reasonable prices. The only downside is that it doesn't have easy access. When you arrive, you have to go up several stairs, and there's no handrail for support. So, if you're carrying a lot of luggage, it might not be the best option. It's also not a hotel that's accessible for people with disabilities.

Easy to get to by bus from Bucharest airport.
We arrived late and the hotel has a restaurant attached to it serving good food, which was very convenient. This was a nice hotel, the only negative was that the room was a little cramped with both a double and single bed in it.

The breakfast was good, the restaurant has very good prices, as we decided to have dinner there too.
The rooms are clean, not too spacious though.
As a negative, the elevator has an odd design and it stops in between floors, so be cautious if you come with lots of luggage, you can't avoid stairs.

Boutique hotel in great location

We really enjoyed our stay, it was in a great location on the edge of the old town so you can easily walk to all attractions but on a quiet street so it’s not noisy at night despite the nearby bars and clubs.

Our double room was huge and actually had 2 beds, 1 double and 1 single. With a great view of city/manuc inn. Shower good. They provide shower gel.

Staff were friendly enough but kept to themselves. We appreciated the free water in reception but didn’t have the breakfast as felt like you could get something cheaper elsewhere so can’t comment on that.

No issues at all and would recommend anyone to stay there. Please note, it’s next to the old town restaurant so the entrance isn’t very obvious. You have to go up some steep steps but once inside there is a lift. If you are getting taxis, we found the closest pick up to be Piata Roma square. It’s like a minute’s walk from there.

The hotel is lovely. I had a large room with small balcony. Very clean and well maintained in the old part of town and close to Lipscani Street and all the bars and eateries. The room was quiet and very comfortable. Drinking water available near reception (both hot and cold) and with a selection of drinks from the mini bar. There is a small supermarket across the road for basics.

What I liked was, that it was a good room for the price. Was clean, but would recommend shower shoes as, I got foot itch from the showers. Waiters were nice.
What I didn't like was, the morning breakfast was not desirable, as was the dinner meal I ate. The hotel couldn't provide a safe transportation from the hotel to the airport on departure. Ended up getting caught in a scam for $100.00. Hotel office staff not helpful.

Lovely hotel, beautifully decorated and clean rooms of a good size. Staff helpful. Not many options for breakfast - toast, eggs, sausage, ham, cheese, small croissants, apples, oranges and plain yoghurt. It's a great location and plenty of restaurants within a short walk.

Nice hotel in a good location for accessing all of Bucharest. However the building is old, so has thin walls and windows which means you can hear everything. Slamming doors to conversations from other guests and the sounds of people (and musicians) outside.

Beautiful hotel

Wonderful and welcome short stay. A very beautiful hotel. Clean throughout and friendly staff. Perfect location in the old town, close to the action but away from the noise. Highly recommend!

Very clean, great condition, pleasantly furnished and comfortable. Central location in old town , wonderful little wine bar next door but one . Close to main attractions .

Room was nice but very small and uncomfortably hot. Had to turn the radiators off entirely and leave the balcony door open to cool down.

Spotlessly clean really pleasant staff and really good quality bedding showers will lovely and they couldn't do enough for you was nice and quiet but right on the edge of old town with bars and cafes within the two minute walk definitely stop there again
