Welcome to Piata Uniri Cozy Inn and our new place Himalaya Aparthotel Piata Unirii The Inn is situated in a beautiful 1918 Vila. We have 29 different rooms suitable for all budgets.
We have 4 dorm rooms each with its private bathroom. The dorm rooms are located on the basement floor.
The dorms have windows and a ventilation system. 2 4 bed dorms and 2 6 bed dorms.
All our private rooms have their own private bathroom.

Nice room but had a couple of maintenance issues when i checked in that should have been sorted before check in (shower holder broken, mini fridge in room but no sockets near to plug it in to). But it was great for the price, great location - would definitely stay here again.

The room is small and cramp. Hotel indicates the towel will be replaced 3 days of stay but even on the 4th day, it was not done. No house is available in this hotel. The bed is the biggest issue, it noisy and it hard to sleep at night. We asked to change the room due to this but was quickly brushed off by just saying it full. Unfriendly staff.Rubbish is not cleared until we checked out.

Very much a no frills room. The room was spacious and comfortable. But a bit rough around the edges. For example it had a jet bath, so I turned them on and lots of dirt came out, so couldn't use that, It has a shower attachment instead to use, but it has no where to mount it on the wall, so you have to hold it the whole time.
The only toiletries supplied was soap, so you will need to bring your own shampoo.
Another thing was 1 of the 2 pillows had a stain right in the middle of it, luckily it wasn't a problem since I could just use the other one.
I think overall for the price is was more than adequate. It was a large comfortable space, big bed, big sofa and big tv. As a solo female traveller I felt safe, the room itself has 2 lockable doors to enter it.
It is also an easy walk into the Old Town and close to the bus stop for the airport bus. So the location was convenient.

4 night stay in central Bucharest. A few hours after we checked in, we noticed a leakage from the water pipes. We drew the attention of Raphael, the receptionist who straight away took care of the situation. We were given an alternative lodging, not in the same building, but much more spacious.

I really enjoyed the hotel, location was good, about a 10 minute walk from old town, far enough away from the parties at night, yet still close enough to stumble home or even Uber. The room itself was clean and had everything you needed, I slept like a baby in the comfortable bed. However there were two things that kind of irked me. The shower curtain is PATHETIC and doesn't keep the water in the shower area. Water goes not only all over the bathroom, it goes into the hallway as well. Secondly; Towels, I specifically asked for an extra towel and was denied, which in my 20+ years of travelling and staying at different hotels around the world I have NEVER encountered this.

Positives: It felt safe, with a triple lock on the door and a locked gate on the compound. It was quite conveniently located -- 10 minutes from the central city square. The king-size bed had a comfortable mattress.
Negatives: The heating was by a ceiling-level aircon unit which took over an hour to heat the room to 20 degrees -- there was a large radiator but it didn't work. The bed covering was a thin summer duvet, which was inadequate at night (March), when the temperature was dropping to near-zero outside and the building was poorly-insulated. We asked for an additional cover but were told there was none. The AC was too noisy to keep on at night. The ensuite was adequate, but the water took up to 10 minutes to run hot. There were also some brutallly-hard edges exposed around the shower and the loosely-fitted basin tap flopped around in its hole. There was no kettle, nor any hot drinks faciities available.

Really good location , near the city center and plenty of restaurants , food markets , cafes , bars , ect nearby . Check in instructions provided with enough detail so that will no be any mistake on how to locate/access the accommodation. Staff was helpful . My room was not so new and may need soon some renovation , but on the other hand the price per night was quite fair .

The service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. I arrived early and saw a few men smoking and eating and drinking outside, so I asked if they could check if my room was ready. It was 6pm. No one even came over, I was bluntly told “No 3pm”. I asked if they knew what room I was in. I got told “Yes”, which was impossible, as they didn’t know my name. I then asked very politely if I could leave my bags and get lunch. Again I was told bluntly “No. Go sit outside”. After sitting outside for thirty minutes. I decided to go back in and speak to the owner. I explained to him, I had booked a private room for a few days and that I’d been on a 21 hour journey, I very politely said I understand his point and would really appreciate if he could just hold my bag, so I could get some food. He looked at me with disgust, “You understand nothing. You don’t understand, if you did, you wouldn’t be so disrespectful and come to me a second time. I have better things to do then see if your room is ready or hold your bag”. I was shocked that this was the initial service I was getting. But I was polite and shook his hand and stated I meant no disrespect. I went and sat back down with my bag, after 10 minutes he came out and said he’d look after my bag. The property itself wasn’t bad, although I could feel the springs through the mattress, but this initial treatment meant that after my three days booked I looked elsewhere.

The hotel was reasonable and was close to city centre. But both the guys at reception were so weird and angry for some reason. The guy checked us in did not even say hi. Just who booked the hotel. Give me your document. Go that is your room. Same thing happened next day. The guy at reception was who are you what is your room go to your room.

Bocked for 4 nights in a single room on the first floor. Room was spacious with a wardrobe and en-suite. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed comfortable. In my room was a skylight, so if you're planning on sleeping in you might get the full force of the sun to wake you up. There is also a TV in the room but I actually unplugged it as the red stand-by light bothered me. So I never used it.
Check-in was uncomplicated, just show up after 3pm and someone will let you in. Super nice staff (reception and cleaning personnel)
The courtyard is nice to sit at during spring/summer but there is no common area inside.
The only downside, at least for me, is that there is no luggage storage at all.
Public transport is almost at your front door and all major sights are in walking distance. some might take longer but it's doable.

When we arrived we were told our room had bed bugs, so had to sleep one night in another room but move to the fleas room the following day. We had plans all day the next day so had to cancel them to be able to move. We had to take all our valuables with us as we had to leave a key in the unlocked room as there wasn’t a spare. Reception is a real problem. I dropped off my bag at 1030am, it was OK. I came back at 430pm to check in. Reception was closed and no response to buzzer. At 930am reception was closed for check out.

The amenities are basic but i believe it is fair considering its daily rate. The main advantage of the property is its location. It is a walking distance from the old town center and a walking distance to different public transportation stops (Metro, bus & tram). A great choice if you are planning to tour around Bucharest & spend minimal time at the hotel.

The email they were supposed to send me giving me the gate security code wasn't sent so I had to wait for someone to come out through the gate so I could sneak in. Later on when I went out another locked out tourist did what I had done, sneaked in when I left. It's shockingly bad new arrivals are left locked outside on the street.

The Cozy Inn is in a brilliant location with easy access to Old Town.
The room was not clean with cobwebs, dust and dead insects. The room was not cleaned throughout the stay.
Towels and toilet roll were not replaced throughout a 3 night stay without having to ask for them. Hand towels were not provided. We had to request a bath mat as the shower leaked all over the floor as this was not provided initially.
The staff seemed surprised that our aircon was on on the first night as it was meant to be broken, but we were not informed of this on check in. The aircon was very temperamental throughout the stay.
We did not receive the welcome email with check in details and had to call them when we arrived as the hotel has a locked gate to enter.
The staff were happy to help when asked for assistance.

Outstanding value for the money!
Had stayed at this place before and will surely stay again. The room was clean and had all the basics, including air conditioning, large screen TV with premium channels fast Wi-Fi was and a mini-fridge. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is located within short walking distances to the center of Bucharest, to the metro station, to the express bus to the airport and to the Old Town. All of these for a cost that is much lower to other places in the area.

This place offers great value for the money! Nothing luxurious but a basic place to crash at night! It is clean, it has air conditioning, premium TV channels, it is located in a safe area right in center of Bucharest and within a short walk to the Old Town! All for a fraction of the cost of other places in the area.

Owner never meet me to let me in the apartment
The owner of the apartment never responded when I got to the airport and then to the building. He/she emailed me two days before my arrival time to call them when I got there to let me in the apartment. I only new the address for the building, not the apartment number. I texted and called many times and there was never an answer. I had to book another hotel. I am very dissatisfied with this place.

I had reserved this hotel for my brother who is an Ukrainian resident and had to flee from Ukraine to Romania because of the war. He got stuck in the border and couldn't arrive in Bucharest in time, so we contacted this hotel and asked them kindly to change our date and postpone for 2 days. The manager was extremely rude and rejected us with the most terrible way. He had the right to not accept our request but the behavior was definitely unacceptable specially due to our situation.

So let's begin, This is a fantastic budget hotel. The rooms are clean, the staff are helpful and the location is perfect. A 5 minute walk from old town centre, 2 minute walk from supermarket. Can't really fault anything because the price is so reasonable. Dont understand people with negative reviews expecting 5 star luxury accommodation for £20 a night. The staff was nice but not service minded. They wouldn't do anything about our A/C not working in January - which led to us waking up in the middle of the night freezing cold. They couldnt offer us another room nor would they try to fix or compensate our room fee.
The water ran out and for half an hour once a day we didnt have any water and the toilet wouldn't/ couldn't flush for the first 3 day. Yes, we did make them aware.
Even after 4 days the manager was in the reception and still wouldnt do anything.. He said the rhe room was cheap and therefore we couldn't expect anything but this outcome (the room was being renovated apparently, but we ordered the room 3 months in advance, so I would hope for them that it would be cheap. It wasn't isolated dither. Not the room nor the bathroom..
