A little far from the train, but all in all, for the value, a little bit of a walk is not an issue. The room was comfortable, but the pictures were a little misleading. The pictures made the room look bigger than it was. The washer/dryer was also not working properly (the dryer was not working). However, having a kitchenette and a small dining table made up for this. We would stay here again.

The staff are kind and willing to teach. I enjoyed the education on trash pick up changes in Tokyo. I travel to Tokyo often and try to stay as independent as possible. The room was clean, fresh smelling and up to date.

Family of 4 (with 2 teens) stayed in a “superior apartment” with the tatami for 8 nights. Enough space for all of us. The kitchenette, decent sized fridge and the washer/dryer combo were a plus. FamilyMart and 7-11 were close by. Life Supermarket was also within walking distance (8-10 min) and was great option to buy fresh fruits, cooked foods and variety of sushi. Train/subway stations were a good 11-15 min walk. Great location. We would stay there again!

The cleanliness of the room was to say the least, average. The washer and dryer combo was very useful to have. Asakusa and it's key destinations were walkable, with great dining options nearby, and multiple supermarkets within 5-10 minutes walking distance. Overall, the room did feel a little cramped but compared to other hotels nearby, it did have more room to fit a tatami mat, kitchen, and dining table. A little fiddling around and moving of furniture made the space more functional when occupying a room with three medium to large sized luggage bags. At the end of the day, you need to make it work, and we definitely did. As said earlier, the cleanliness of the room required greater attention. The questionable marks along both sides of the toilet walls in room 604, was not pleasant. Overall, a small but functional room for a family of three with great distance to key locations.

Overall stay was generally okay, with good facilities but maintenance needs improvement.

The room itself is spacious and well-equipped, which is great for families. It comes with many useful facilities such as air conditioning with heater, air purifier, oven, microwave, refrigerator, and most importantly a washing machine. The space is large enough for family meals and sitting together comfortably, which we really appreciated.

However, there are several areas that need improvement, mainly related to maintenance and cleanliness of appliances. The air conditioner had very low airflow and visible dust around the cover, which made it feel like it had not been cleaned or maintained for a long time. The air vents in the room were also dusty and did not look well maintained.

The water purifier was covered in dust, and the washing machine showed an error code indicating the drying filter was clogged, which suggests it was not properly serviced before our stay.

Overall, the room has good potential and facilities, but better maintenance and regular cleaning of electrical appliances would greatly improve the experience. With proper upkeep, this could be a very comfortable place to stay.

No front desk receptionist, you check in and out using a QR code. Room that we got was big enough for 4 adults. 1 king size bed (2 twin). There was 3 twin size beddings for the tatami floor in the closet. Although, we find it too thin, so we had to find a way to make it more comfortable, used the extra comforter/duvet on top of it. Our only complain is that, the pillows are way too small and too thin! There was a total of 5 in the room.
There was a good size fridge and freezer, a microwave, a mini oven, a stove , a rice cooker, plates, cups, spoon, forks, chopsticks, knives etc.
AC and heater works great. Love the washer/dryer. Elevator is fast enough. Our room was in the 12th floor with the nice view of the Sky Tree Tower.
There’s a bus stop close by but sometimes the wait is long, location of the hotel is not bad but we end up walking a lot to and from the bus/train station. Lots of Family Mart, 7-11, Lawson close by.
They also have a luggage storage but not that big. First come first serve. If you need airport transfer, Limousine Bus has a stop a few minutes from this hotel.

Very happy with the in room washer/dryer, provided alot of convenience for us. But it was said that they will clean the room for us on 3rd day but nothing was done, not sure if this is upon request. Other than its quite a far walk from Asakusa temple area itself, we are still very happy with the stay. Amenities in the room were perfect. We had a small dining table, microwave oven, drawers were well equiped wjth necessary kitchen needs.

Our family enjoyed a comfortable vacation here.
The check-in/out was easy, the hotel was in a quiet neighborhood, and our room was clean. The family suite provided basic kitchen supplies and appliances, including a washer-dryer. Three subway stations—Asakusa, Tawaramachi, and Iriya—are all within a 15–20 minute walk. 7-Eleven, local supermarkets, and the Senso-ji temple area are also within walking distance.

The only good thing about this hotel is that the room is spacious. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was very disappointing — there were hair and stains all over the room. I also asked a question one month before check-in and never received any response.

The location is about a 15-minute walk to the shopping area or the subway. I’ve stayed at the Minn-Gion location before, and this property is definitely not at the same standard.

Room was spacious for japanese standards, very convenient to have in-suite washing machines and centrally located to trains and main asakusa area. Cons: could be cleaner..especially in the shower/bathroom area..there was mould/pink build up and drains got clogged. Also gets super loud if you are on the bottom floors because you can hear upstairs dining room chairs getting pushed, children crying, etc. Its more of a family hotel.

Our stay was okay but could’ve been better. Check-in wasn’t thorough, and we had to figure things out ourselves using QR codes. The room had a slight odor, dusty surfaces, and tatami beds that smelled and looked heavily used. We needed to request new sheets. The washer and dryer didn’t work well even after a tub clean, leaving clothes damp and with a strange smell. Location is about 10 minutes from the train station, which was convenient, but overall the stay felt below expectations for the price.

Although compact roomy for a family of 5. Futons were good and was the Japanese experience. Could not provide extra pillows though. Shower head is odd handheld one, but same as others in Japan. Very modern and clean inside. Small apartment with no pool but an excellent stay for the price. Very safe. No one at the desk but you can contact staff easily through email or Ipad. 10 min walk to stations in many directions. Very safe area near temples and shops. Kitchen was and dining table was great. No tea towels though.

The staff were super nice. The unit Superior room was spacious and fully equipped. The bedding was okay, looked like there were stains that doesn’t want to come off and the bed was a little on the hard side, only 1 pillow per bed. Bathroom was great, small deep tub and shower area. You can store your luggage for free in the lobby (15 locks). The closest train station is 12 minutes away H line. There are 12 floors, 4 rooms per floor. If you get a room towards the back of the hotel like 904, you will have a view of the Skytree. Use Line to communicate with the hotel, like request for towels. There is also another Minn Asakusa which we went to by mistake since this one shows up as Minn 浅草かっぱ橋 on Google Maps. We recommend Nihonkai Kototoi Shop (best sushi we had in the area) also half the price. Also a few walkable supermarkets, a 711 and a Family Mart.

Room has all the things we needed to have a comfortable stay. We got 4 beds but all twin size. Washer/dryer in the room is quite handy as well as the small kitchenette. There are bus stops close by but if you want the subway, it can be a good 10-15 mins walk and with the heat, we used the bus more often to go to the station. The hotel was conveniently located near Asakusa Sensoji Temple and both Iriya and Tawaramachi Stations—all within a 10-minute walk.
The room layout was unique, featuring a tatami area where the futon beds were laid out. As a family of five, we stayed comfortably for five days.

FamilyMart and 7-Eleven were nearby for quick snacks and drinks, and Life (a local grocery store) was just around the corner if you wanted to prepare meals. We enjoyed some Wagyu steaks with instant rice and salad—it was delicious.

The in-room washing machine with a dryer function was a great convenience.

Although there was no front desk staff on-site, support was readily available via the LINE app. I was initially shocked to find a blood stain on one of the futons, but the staff responded promptly—even at 10:30 p.m.—and replaced it with a clean one by 10:55 p.m.

The room had a vacuum cleaner, and there were ample supplies of garbage bags and toilet paper available in the lobby.

Check-in and check-out were seamless using a QR code.

It truly felt like a second home in Tokyo—we would definitely come and stay again.

Virtual Check-in Doesn’t Work

After traveling for over 24 hours the last thing you want is have trouble checking-in to your room.

They did not email the check-in procedure ahead of time. When they did, the website didn’t work. Even when I was at the lobby scanning the QR code it didn’t work.

Their virtual check-in process doesn’t work. It’s frustrating when you and travel companions are exhausted and just want to rest.

We booked a Deluxe apartment with 4 single beds and 2 sofa beds. The apartment is big enough for 6 guests. My family liked that we have 2 separate rooms and their single beds are bigger than the twin size bed in North America so we really had a comfortable sleep. The bathroom was much bigger than expected—definitely a nice surprise. Also loved the kitchen!

Communication could be improved. I reached out by sending a message on the Expedia Message prior to arrival but did not receive a response. You need to message them via the link they have provided on their email confirmation. Being able to send and receive messages via the booking site would enhance the guest experience.

I recently stayed at Minn Kappabashi during my trip to Tokyo, and overall, I had a great experience. The property is quite new, and it really shows—from the modern design to how spotless everything felt. The room I stayed in was very spacious, which is a rare find in Tokyo, and it came with all the essentials I needed for a comfortable stay.

One of the highlights for me was how easy the check-in and checkout process was. It's all automated, so there was no need to wait around or deal with paperwork—super convenient after a long flight.

Location-wise, it's close to the Asakusa area, which made sightseeing in that neighborhood really easy. I loved being able to walk to Senso-ji Temple and explore the local shops and eateries. That said, the only small downside was the walk to the nearest train station—it’s not too far, but definitely something to keep in mind if you’re carrying heavy luggage or planning to move around the city a lot.

A long walk to the subway stations. AEON supermarket within 50 m, and some restaurants nearby. Best station from Haneda airport is Iriya station.

The hotel fit out needs perfectly. Anything we asked for was delivered. Staff presence was minimal but you were about to leave messages via an iPad in the front and by the time we returned whatever we asked for would be there.

The area was safe and quiet and close to several tourist attractions and train stations.

The only thing was that I wish we were able to get our garbage removed more than one time during our stay . Other than that , it was great . We would definitely stay here again.

The property was a BnB style and we had 5 people (2 bed + 3 futon/mat). It was a bit cramped with 5 people, but it worked out alright.
The washer and dryer was a single unit that was a little small, took over 3 hours per cycle, and didn’t dry clothes completely. The water in the bathroom was high pressure and nice, but the controls were a bit confusing at first. I really enjoyed the tatami mat and the large windows, along with the counter with cutlery, cookware, and dishes. There was a nice cubby to secure our luggage next to the check-in desk after we checked out before leaving for our next destination. The front desk wasn’t manned often, but there was a person you could reach via Zoom call.
Finally, the area was great and we found lots of cool things to do and explore in the local Asakusa area. But in terms of directly near the hotel, there wasn’t as much, and it was a 12 minute walk to the closest station (Iriya on the Hibiya line), which did get a little annoying after returning late at night multiple times.
Overall, I really enjoyed this stay and though there were many things that weren’t perfect or necessarily well communication, I still had a great stay.

The apartment was perfect size for a family of 4 with two teens. Really well equipped as it had everything we needed for a few day stay including washing machine.
It was great location in Asakusa with only 10min walk to Senso ji Shrine. It was between two different metro lines meaning a walk to either station (10-15min).
The apparent was designed to maximise the use of limited space and so it felt it had everything we needed without feeling crammed.
Very quiet! Not right if you are expecting to party or easy access to bars but perfect for families.
Conbini just round the corner.
We would not hesitate to use it again.

Very welcoming place. The people at the front desk were extremely helpful and polite. When I needed the luggage transfer service they arranged for that for me and helped me fill out the form as well. Very very clean rooms and they supply you with everything to keep your stay clean as well. From laundry detergent to a vacuum cleaner as room service is not offered. However everything was supplied to you right at the front desk ! Very clean ! I think I said that already but that was the best as well as our view of the sky tree from our room was incredible!

Great location for us. Quiet and with an added bonus of a skytree view. We were a family of 4 in this small room which felt tight but they had great amenities. Nice thoughtful touches such as hangers for washing clothes and laundry detergent. It wasn’t the most comfortable bed and the pillow seemed smaller than my head. But for the price and location I was overall delighted.

Perfect for our family of four with two adult teenagers. Comfortable and spacious we had a two bedroom room. Seven eleven was around the corner which we used for breakfast and the temple was a 12 min walk. Tidy. Clean and comfortable. Would stay again anytime.

Arrived early and requested to leave our bags until check in time but all bag storage was used. The virtual receptionist said they could help and hung up from us. We were finally able to get someone to help us by storing our bags in a storage room. But was difficult to find someone to help. This appears to have been mentioned by other quests but nothing had changed. Aldo found the room very dusty especially with the air conditioning on. When we checked the air conditioning it was full of dust and it looked like it had never been cleaned. After we cleaned the filters and the room ourselves it improved a lot. Don’t recommend staying here.
