Very hard to locate the EG private house in BGC. You have to specify that it is inside the
Uptown parksuite tower 2. Checking in is very
Complicated, front desk doesnt help you they will just call, it would be helpful if you have a representative at the ground floor

Our hotel is close to the malls. Very convenient with food and shopping. Room service is great. Place is clean. Free shuttle ride to and from the airport is great.Things that I don’t like were stairs at the facade of the building. We were scared of falling and possibly breaking our bones. It is not conducive for persons with disabilities.Second complaint was our balcony. A roof was blocking our view. Third complaint was breakfast with coffee delivered to your room daily. I regretted ordering it during our entire stay. Fourth complaint was the guy at the check in counter. He needs re training with costumer relations 101. The guy was so arrogant as if he owns the building. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable experience.

The location was great. Very fast response time from management and housekeeping. The welcome gift was an unexpected surprise. The donuts were delicious, also grateful for other items. Courteous staff. Also got free breakfast when requested, which is going above and beyond. Will stay here again.

The unit was in fair condition. Paint on the inside of bathroom door was peeling. Toilet seat was not properly secured and sliding around when you sit on it. There was cardboard with duct tape covering a hole in the wall under the bathroom sink. Had to call to request towels upon arrival as there were no towels provided.

My wife and I received such gracious hospitality from the entire staff!!! Every question and minor issue we communicated to the staff was addressed quickly and efficiently. The room was spacious and well stocked. The breakfast that was brought to our room daily was excellent! The location of the complex could not be better. Pros: Very good location.
Cons:We usually shower under the faucet since hot water doesn’t last in the shower. Dim light in the bathroom, it’s hard to put my make up. Don’t expect too much with breakfast, usually pasta. Hard bed.

Yes, it was not as expected. We we're surprised because the staff told us to call if we have special requests and then, on the first day, we especially told that we want our breakfast to be served at 7:30 but it arrived half an hour late. And on the second day, they gave us only 2 packed noodles for 2 persons while I reserved and paid for 4 occupancy. It was just fortunate that my daughter had a leftover pasta from the restaurant that's why she didn't complain. I didn't know that I have to inform them every time how many people are going to eat breakfast. The big room with ensuite bathroom have a bad smell. It's like the smell is coming from the sewers.

The pool area was undrr construction during our stay. The TV was not working. Somebody came in to fix it but as soon as TV was turned off, issue was back again. Ended up with no TV for the duration of our stay. In fairness, place was clean and location is very accessible to everything we need.

My one night stay was great! Very accommodating. I was able to check in an hour early and the hosts were very responsive helping me with all my needs. The rooms are also clean and comfortable. They also let me leave my luggages while I explored the area after check out. Highly recommend and would stay here again if ever I’m in the area!

The room was not clean. Scum was all over the bathroom, the room smelled moldy, and the kitchen area had inadequate kitchen equipment. The towels are heavily treated with chemicals, and the scent was too strong.

We transferred to a larger room the following day, and we were promised a credit for the first day we stayed. We were charged almost 5,000 more per day. The breakfast was delivered in plastic packages, typically consisting of rice and one main dish accompanied by a small soup. Honestly, all the meals delivered were of inferior quality.

The toilet in the master bedroom was clogged, and we called housekeeping twice, but the issue was never resolved until we left. We ended up using the standard toilet every day.

The bathroom lights are so dimmed, and we expressed this on the first day, but it was never resolved. Our stay was a total nightmare!

In addition to all these headaches, the credit we expected was not processed, and now I have to follow up with Expedia to receive the refund promised by EG. This place is a joke. Please don't make the mistake of booking here. The photo is deceiving.

The location is excellent, though; however, to access the lobby, you need to climb a steep number of steps. If it rains, there is no way to find a safe spot to stay dry.

The manager, Arnel, tried his very best to meet our needs, but this place lacks a system, and maintenance is inferior.

Overall the location and the property were great. It’s walkable to many restaurants and places nearby and was easy to get a ride in front of the building. The property itself was well maintained for the most part and kept clean. Communicating with the staff was very well regarding issues that came up. My only gripe was that we had communicated with management that we wanted to leave our baggage after check out for roughly an hour and was told that it was ok to do so only to go down to the front desk lobby and find out that they don’t offer this. Luckily the front desk was able to compromise and allowed us to leave our stuff with the condition that 1 person stayed to keep an eye on them despite the initial statement that we could only leave our stuff for 15 mins.

I booked for 16 days but stayed in the unit for a total of 8 days. The unit is a decent size for a (1) BD. I loved that it has a washer/dryer in the unit. The bed looked comfortable but was not able to use it because I slept on the couch the whole time. Carlo and the rest of his team always checked if I needed anything in the unit.

Although, I did not have time to try different restaurants but Din Tai Fung is always a favorite and was able to try Mamou. We also went to (I believe it's The Peak?) the rooftop bar at Grand Hyatt. All these are walkable from the Uptown Park Suites and highly recommended.

-Great location with very many amenities like coffee shops, dining, shopping, pharmacy, etc nearby

-Building felt safe as well as surrounding areas

-Staff was amazing really responsive to needs and requests

Cons
-bed mattresses could use an upgrade

-units need to be refreshed with minor updates like new paint on walls and ceilings, new grout for the showers and tubs, just minor stuff that could bring the home experience higher

Overall we would stay with EG Private House again. The unit had everything we needed for a comfortable stay in the Philippines.

The service provided by Eric and his team was nothing short of spectacular! On the day of our arrival he connected with us to ensure he was there to receive us on arrival. We got lost and he was able to help us navigate and meet us on the other side of the entrance with his team ready to assist with our luggages. He then got us settled letting us know everything we need to know about the place. He even gave us suggestions on nightlife places we might like. On our last day he also assisted us in arranging a grab as we didn’t have the app and updated us along the way. Then when we got to the airport, we realize we were missing a luggage we forgot outside the condo. Eric and his team searched and located the luggage and we were able to go back and pick it up just in time for our flight. This condo has one of the best services we received in the Philippines which is why I chose it to begin with compared to the other places in the area from the reviews I read. They did not disappoint and we have Eric and his team to thank for the best time we had in BGC. Thank you Eric!

The place was average but I felt so unsafe. First morning, the cleaner rang the doorbell at 630am and I went to bed at 2am. Then I put do not disturb sign. 2nd morning the cleaner open the door and came in the room. Apparently do not disturb means don't ring doorbell but come in. Third morning I put a chair against the door. Still the cleaner open the door at 630am but couldn't open enough to come in. I had 3 nights of 5hrs sleep because I kept getting woken at 630am and couldn't go back to sleep because I felt so unsafe. I will not stay here again.

I will not be staying here again because the building is falling apart. I’m also pretty sure that it was built on top of a sewer because the area smelled so bad. Our floor also smelled horrendous and the elevator area was all messed up. The room we stayed in was not up to par and the pictures I saw online did not match the place. The walls had patches and the property manager did not even bother to paint over it. The beds were super uncomfortable and the place did not feel clean. The property manager Eric was only responsive in the beginning, but he pretty much stopped responding after a day. He wanted us to keep contacting the front desk and not him. This was after he said that he will be available any time and just text him. He is also not accommodating at all, our flight was delayed and we ended up arriving a day late. I asked for a one day refund and he refused. I also requested for a late checkout because our flight was in the evening and again he refused. I just thought that he would try to at least accommodate us and work with us since we arrived late at the property.

Don’t get me wrong, the property location was perfect because it is the heart of BGC. There’s a Lander’s grocery store below, the Uptown Mall, and the Japanese mall are all close by.

Overall, not impressed by the property and the pictures are deceiving online. The owner and the property manager can a least make sure that the condo is up to par and clean. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY!!

I recommend this place to stay in. Easy access to shopping, dining, and grocery. Hotel staff are nice. The place is clean too.

Only one thing that we didn’t like is the elevator. There is a distinct smell of the elevator. Overall the place is clean.
