We had a great time at Les Cayalines. Perfectly located, close to a beautiful beach, with easy parking. The rooms are pretty large with a nice outdoor balcony/kitchen with everything you need to cook. Staff is very helpful. Very pleased with the whole experience.

Hotel with only the bare minimum of facilities. No bar or restaurant in the middle of no where. You need a car if you stay here. Staff very friendly and helpful, but that doesn’t change the location. I never been to a hotel that charges for toilet roll or housekeeping before.. first for everything I suppose! What you save on the price of the hotel you will spend that and more on taxis and going out to buy food !

Five Star Review of Three Star Residence

We are a family of four, with girls of 10 and 16. We scheduled three nights and ended up arriving later than the posted arrival time of 7 pm and were worried that someone would be at reception after our phone call went unanswered. Fortunately, Gwladys responded by email that arriving at 8 pm would be “no problem”. Her thoughtful approach to customer service along with the other ladies in the reception area was a winning formula for Residence Les Cayalines. English is clearly not the first language for the ladies, but they all tried and their responsiveness was exemplary. The breakfast staff was equally up to the task, providing a great morning experience, with fresh fruit, baked goods and local coffee, also providing baguettes and cold cuts for lunch to go. The facilities were touch dated but everything was clean, functional and well-situtated. Lack of a strong WIFI signal was the biggest negative for the kids. The pool and garden areas were a delight. A short walk on the well built path through the jungle revealed an amazing, seemingly undiscovered beach, that is well worth a few hours discovering. The complex is easy to get to and close to the restaurants of Saint Luce. The reception ladies were full of great recommendations for beaches (Anse Figuier!) and places to visit. For that reason, we give this 3 star residence a 5 star review!

New Year’s Eve at les cayalines

It was a beautiful place. Very clean and comfortable. We had a little difficulty with the air conditioning in one of our rooms but it was the last night so we didn’t complain. Best part was the front desk staff. Gwladys stayed late the first night to welcome us because our plane was delayed. So kind of her. Every question asked from helping to make a phone call, mailing post cards, getting us snorkeling equipment, and finding a doctor open on New Year’s Day was handled with loveliness , professionalism and courtesy. They were the nicest ladies. Would definitely stay there again. He beach was lovely and the oool was great. Breakfast was delicious. Everything very nice

Nice \"apartment\" type hotel

This hotel was by the beach. To get to the beach you just walked down a wooden boardwalk, about one block or two length. The beach was quiet and beautiful. There were plenty of palm trees if you wanted a shady area. The hotel was a little like an apartment. You need to bring some of you own supplies. They start you off with toilet paper, soap, small package of dish soap. But, if you are staying a week you will need to buy more. They did sell toilet paper for 50 cents in the office, so that is convenient. We really enjoyed the hotel. The room was clean and pretty comfortable (the pillows were a little flat for my taste.) We had an outdoor kitchen, which was nice to prepare breakfast and have coffee. Just don't make a mistake of leaving food out. I left a tomato on the counter, and the birds enjoyed themselves. The manager greeted us when we arrived, and showed us around the apartment. She was very nice and helpful. They have a great system in the office. You can leave food or any supplies you bought, that you didn't use, and you can also take what you need. We took some olive oil and salad dressing. This was convenient, because we didn't need to purchase. When we left we put it back in the supply area. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The location is very nice and close to several areas we wanted to visit. And, the price was very low for what you get.

Well situated, clean with beach access from hotel. Lovely kind & efficient staff. Our room hat cute kitchenette with garden view. However, overpriiced (US$150/night) for what was on offer. Had to pay for more than the one tiny roll of toilet paper provided. Bathroom in particular a problem. Sewer pipes visible, hence room turned into an echo chamber of bathroom activities of our upstairs neighbors. And surely having to lock yourself into the room - and removing the key to turn on the electricity- is a fire hazard?? Decent, but different than US standards, particularly given the price point.

Quiet and Relaxing

Well I didn't get to see much as had to work a lot, but it's a quiet location, with beaches very close. The room itself is equipped with a kitchen which was great, but be aware that it will cost 50 Euros to get a taxi to nearest supermarket, although there is a smaller shop about 30 minutes walk away if you're keen on walking, just to buy the basics. The staff were great I thought. I couldn't speak more than 7 words in French and one of the reception girls couldn't speak much english, but she was very patient with me and helpful :-) Overall a good value place to stay, especially if you just want to relax, but if you have business to do like I did then the internet is reliable too

Barbara at the front desk was amazing. We arrived late and she helped us with dinner plans. They will help with planning any itineraries while on the island. If you're looking for a cheap hotel to explore the island from, this place is perfect.

Loved my 4-night stay in Les Cayalines. Barbara was very friendly and spoke good English. Kitchenette is fully equipped...good and very helpful if you like to cook breakfast or dinner and sit on the balcony outside. Great beds with very comfortable mattress. Very simple do-it-yourself apartment like small resort. There is not much service - clean your own dishes, make your bed...but really relaxing atmosphere. Not a great place if you are looking for full-service hotel/resort. The showers were really small.

Convenient lodging with pool and beach

Residence Les Cayalines isn't really a hotel, it's a cluster of efficiency apartments with kitchen patios/balconies. There's a nice pool, and \"boardwalk\" access to a gorgeous beach with shade trees, clear water, a rock-enclosed swimming area great for little kids, and lots of interesting coral and sea glass to collect. Great place for a family trip (we were 2 adults and 2 kids under 10). The manager can speak English and French, so email any questions.

Nice quiet hotel near the sea.

We were very pleased with the very clean simply furnished room. We made good use of the small kitchen that is located outside the balcony. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning kept us cool when the temperature and humidity was high. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Everything very clean, most beautiful, quiet beach in Martinique with access through Mangroves! Nice pool. The gardener/grounskeeper is awesome!! He shared coconuts, coconut water, bananas and limes from the grounds with us! So yummy!

Need a car

You need a car to stay here, kitchenette, good with some cooking utensils, just don't plan to cook a lot. Beach is a walk, and can't really swim in that beach, too rocky and too wavy. WIFI, was poor, and they did fix the availability within the room. Air conditioning worked fine, bed was standard. Pool was nice.

Come for the room stay here for the food.

This hotel is five minute from George F.L. Charles Airport and the Castries Ferry. If you are overnighting in Castries stay here. The hotel is built in a classic Caribbean Colonial style. The large dining area has an open wall with a view of the bay and a tree in which hundreds of White Egrets roost at dusk. The food is local and fresh, executed in a French style but with a surprising spicy St. Lucian twist. Bourdain doesn't know what he's missing.

Le petit studio que j’avais louée était infesté de moustiques. J’ai demandé à deux reprises d’être déplacé dans un autre endroit, mais la réception a toujours refusé prétextant que c’était complet alors que plusieurs chambres demeuraient inoccupés. J’ai également été déçu des installations, aucun savon à vaisselle ou produits ménagers de disponible. Je devais également fournir le papier hygiénique ainsi que les sacs de poubelle. La douche n’est pas conçu pour une personne de taille forte puisque j’étais moi-même constamment collé au rideau et arrivait difficile à être mobile. La qualité du matelas et des oreillers laissaient également à désirer. Prix excessivement élevé pour un endroit comme celui ci. Point fort: la gentillesse et la disponibilité du personnel.

Bien mais la plage proche peut être bruyante

Apparemment fonctionnel et bien placé pour visiter le sud de l'île. Personnel attentionné. Cependant l'hôtel est à proximité de la plage et les locaux ont l'habitude de mettre la musique très fort pendant les vacances et week-end :avons séjourné lors d'un week-end prolongé: difficile de se reposer.

Excellent rapport qualité prix. L'accueil y est adorable. Environnement calme. Pas de vue sur mer mais on y est en qq minutes à pied. Plage peu fréquentée (Plage désert). Ne pas hésiter à aller à Sainte Luce pour les courses (petits commerçants) plutôt qu'au carrefour express (qui dépanne bien malgré tout).

Tout était parfait lors de notre séjour. La chambre est grande, avec une jolie vue jardin, idéale pour prendre le petit déjeuner chaque matin, la piscine est excellente et super agréable, et il y a un petit chemin dans la mangrove pour accéder a une très belle plage. L'accueil a la réception est toujours très agréable et les employés sont attentionnés. L'hôtel est bien placé pour explorer l'île a l'aide d'une voiture, et il y a toujours de la place disponible pour se garer. Nous reviendrons certainement !

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour aux Cayalines. Le service est impeccable. Le confort du lit , l espace dans le studio, la cuisine dehors donnant sur un magnifique jardin nous ont vraiment séduit. La situation de la résidence est parfaite pour se rendre à la plage par un chemin privé et très agréable. La piscine est très propre et le personnel est accueillant et très serviable. Logement convenant pour 4 personnes avec un bon accueil, piscine à proximité, mer un peu plus éloignée (emprunter un sentier piéton sur quelques centaines de mètres), machines à laver le linge à côté de l'accueil. Résidence bien placée pour visiter divers endroits en voiture. La résidence se trouve en dehors de Sainte Luce 2 ou 3km.

Dans l ensemble, Résidence sympathique, piscine agréable et proche de la mer.Le personnel est aux petits soins. les studios sont d un confort simple, la déco et les meubles mériteraient une modernisation.
De ce fait, Le prix reste élevé si on prend également en compte quelques désagréments supplémentaires :plusieurs fois nous n'avons pas eu d eau chaude le matin,coupures d eau (indépendantes de leur volonté) à partir de 20h, le ménage n est fait qu une fois par semaine, bruit de la route la nuit..

Petits appartements très propres, correctement aménagés. Personnel très sympathique. Il est un peu dommage de devoir payer un où deux rouleaux de papier toilette pour des séjours très court (3 nuits pour nous). Dommage aussi qu'il n'ait pas une fiolle de liquide vaisselle. Les petits dej sont sympas, produits frais, peut être un poil chers. Par contre il est très appréciable de pouvoir profiter de la piscine, de l'accès plage et de l'accès à une salle de bain après le check out en attendant notre avion, c'est top. L'ensemble du personnel est par ailleurs très sympathique. Merci

Studio (C7) bien équipé, en bon état général, avec cuisine en terrasse.
Belle vue depuis cette terrasse sur le joli jardin tropical, bien entretenu.
Communs bien tenus, et calmes.
Piscine accessible jusqu'à 20h00.
Chemin très pratique (100 mètres sur pilotis) pour rejoindre la plage de l'anse Désert par la mangrove.

Hier hat einfach alles gepasst, der Strand/Location wurde sogar von den sehr sehr freundlichen Mitarbeiterinnen übertroffen. Es Mitarbeiter holte uns eine Kokosnuss vom Baum und gab und Schoki dazu. Wird konnten es die nächsten Tage auch selbst übernehmen. Die Mitarbeiter bestellten uns sogar zweimal Essen. =)

Nous avions déjà séjourné en décembre 2014, aux Cayalines. studio agréable, bien équipé, piscine, jardin magnifique, Jean Pierre nous a à nouveau fait déguster les noix de coco de son merveilleux jardin !, accès à la jolie plage tranquille, depuis la résidence. Bon, que du bonheur...
