The reception to White Vatican is in one location but my room was approx 5 mins walk away. The room was clean. A/C remote could not be found and rang twice the mob lrovided leaving an answer machine message but received no reply. Luckily the weather was cool enough not to need it.
Colleagues on the same trip were in other White Vatican locations with far worse rooms.

Only gave us one key per room and after some of us being locked in the room because others had gone out and locked the room as ones staying were sleeping, they were locked in and had to yell for someone to let them out. We then asked for another key and were told they only have one. We told them it was a fire hazard for them to be locked in and when we said if there actually was a fire the people locked inside would die, he just looked at us and said ya. Wasn’t impressed with service but room was fine

Property was in a great location for the Vatican and St Peter’s Square which was the main reason for choosing it. Accommodation is basic and clean but tired. Certainly no frills. No breakfast as advertised and paid for. Bedroom was in another building from the main one were you check in - 10mins walk. No daily room service to empty bins etc. but we were only there for 3 days so not an issue for us. It did the job for us which was basically a bed for the night but don’t expect anything more!!

I arrived earlier than check in time at a building that I could not find and residents couldn't identity either. Once I finally arrived, another property owner/manager let me in. I made my way upstairs and the rooms were being prepared for the next guests. After checking in a large party, I was next, paid my hotel tax and was told this was not the building where I was residing. I was instantly ticked off. I was escorted to another building about 4 blocks away. This is not the thing that you want to do in the heat of the summer and after a very long flight. Once at the other building, I was given 4 keys - Main door-key #1, upon opening you see 2 buildings-key #2 for my building. Elevator to my wing-using key #3 (this lock gave me problems every time, I even had to get other ppl to assist, when it would finally open-key# 4 to my room. The AC was not working properly, I attempted to make the room cooler (to no avail) then I popped into the shower, the shower didn't drain. My head was about to explode. After my shower, I messaged the \"front desk\" and shared my grievances and told them I was leaving for a few hours. Upon my return, with an electric fan in hand, all repairs were completed with a nice cool room and draining tub. Other annoying door #3, the AC and non draining tub, the small room was perfect for me. However, the bidet did not allow for the bathroom door to fully open, so I was always squeezing my way in and out.

The room that we stayed was not featured in any of the 132 pictures they have in Expedia. We walked to another building after checking in for another 5-7 mins. When we arrived at the property, we noticed how bad the room and we reached out to the person who checked us in. He explained that they managed many properties but I re-iterated that this particular room is unacceptable. He told me that he will talk to his manager and he will call me back but he didn’t. I called for the rest of the night but he did not answered any of my calls.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. This is NOT a hotel. More like a bargain Air BnB within an apartment building. Even the apartment residents say the rooms are disgusting. Honestly one of the worst places I’ve stayed in my whole life. You could feel the bars of the bed frame when you lay down, there’s scuffs all over the walls, stuff that looks like black mold on the walls, and the shower was TINY. Also to connect to the wifi you have to stand under a specific spot in the building, and then it doesn’t even reach your room. The gentleman at the reception was nice, and that’s the only positive remark I have to make. DON’T BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURES OR LOCATION, it is NOT worth it.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! We chose this place over many others beacuse we would be arriving after midnight and online they said 24 hour lobby. After telling management the time of our arrival they told us \"our lobby is not open overnight but we will send you self check in instructions\" Confused, we accepted it and waited for insturctions on how to check in. They sent us an electronic key to open the building that did not work. So my family was left stranded on the streets 2 am with nowhere to sleep. We called them multiple times to help us and got no answer. We had to go to 4 different hotels before we found a place to sleep. The next morning we texted them that we would be checking in after a tour we had already booked at 11 am. They said \"no problem we open at 1 pm anyways\" During our tour we recieved a text from the host saying our room is no longer available and lost the reservation. Frustrated we left our tour early to figure out what was going on since we booked this place for 3 nights. Once we got to the hotel and tried to check in, this disgustingly rude host got into verbal argument with us on how it was our fault we lost the reservation, how they never claimed to be open 24 hours, how we should have came earlier in the morning before 1 pm to check in. He even lied to us saying the hotel was completely booked and they had no space for us. His employees, who also seemed fed up with him, told him to stop arguing and that they would accommodate us. So they did have room for us

Great no frills place. Rooms could use a refresh. Bathroom was awkward. Hot water runs out quickly. Elevator works. Can’t beat the location. Safe and Decent - be modest in your expectations and this will be a great place to sleep and shower. Not a spa or a resort. Not the place to just hang out in the room. As such, it’s great!!

I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel, especially if you're traveling all the way to Rome.

On our very first day, we were met with several unacceptable issues: bugs in the room, dirty and marked walls, and a carpet with white stains that resembled bodily fluids. To make matters worse, the air conditioning system wasn’t working, which made the stay even more uncomfortable.

We tried to contact reception but he didn’t answer his phone. Nor did he call back. He texted back 24 hours later

My wife and I both felt extremely uneasy, and the surrounding area didn’t give us much peace of mind either. I couldn’t justify allowing my wife to stay in those conditions, so we left and checked into another hotel.
What’s most disappointing is that the price we paid here was the same as what we later paid for a 4-star hotel, where the experience was night and day.

Short stay in Rome for the Rugby

Booked a superior double room but looking at photos afterwards we were in just a normal double room. There was no warm bedding, the air con didn’t work when trying to heat the room, however the air con unit for next door out on the balcony which was on all night was definitely working and kept us awake all night. The toilet in the next room was very loud every time it flushed, there was a small balcony but no key to open the metal shutters, not sure how we would have escaped if there was a fire in the hallway.
Good location for Vatican City if you want to go there, the only positive from our trip.

Room was average-sized with a king size bed and soft mattress. A small old fashion toilet which needed renovation. A kettle to share between 3 rooms which was never available...no coffee bags or tea bags in the room.
Walking distance to Vatican and very close to small shops and restaurants.
Metro to use very close and the ticket price was reasonable.

Terrible experience. The property would not refund the money although we suffered a family health emergency that forced us to leave immediately to the United States. The only night we spent there, we had to sleep with the windows opened due to ongoing works in the building, which filled every flirt and the property with high levels of dust.

For the price, we didn't expect much, but they still managed to go lower than our expectations. Bathroom leak on carpet, a/c impossible to operate.
We found someone doing work in the bathroom on our way back from a walk, without prior warning, very unprofessional and unsecure.

The service was good .. beds were not comfortable.. They had to switch our rooms due to maintenance on the room originally assigned, the other room was 0.7 miles walk and we had take all our luggage. Note that there was an elevator but to get to it you had walk with your luggage at least a flight of stairs to get to the elevator.. not convenient when you have a family and for suitcases..

The owner was very rude when. We ask about the check in instructions. The address they provide in the listing is not the actual address. They provide 150 pictures in the listing to confused you which one is yours, he have multiple rentals. The room was very tiny the table is broken . The air conditioner is very noisy and the hot water is off most of the time that we always need to call them.

The building itself is beautiful. The elevator is old and dirty. Only one air conditioner worked out of 5. My family was very uncomfortable and hot. The bathroom was clean. Our Tv did not work. We don't recommend this place. It needs better signage because it was difficult to find.

Pros: Close to St. Peter Basilica and very convenient to transit.
- Staff/customer service is great. well in communication plus a bonus kind accommodation for extended check out. I give 5 star for that.

Cons: The building is so old and creepy. We have to go to the other building for check in and the elevator is not that well. So old. Not equipped with automatic keycard but the old fashion physical keys. We arrived late night and we have to do like an amazing race to follow the instruction. Open the main building gate, to the property site, then to the room. We had a hard time figuring out to open the door going to our room. We were stock in the middle of the night outside. Thankfully, there are housekeeper in the other property and helped us to open the door.

Having read some of the reviews I was concerned. I need not have been at all. Myself and my teenage boys stayed in a triple room which next to the reception. The room was very clean, beds comfortable and bathroom clean and perfectly adequate. Lovely courtyard view. Good air con and a safe. Prior to staying the hotel made sure we knew exactly how to check in as we would be arriving late. Everything was exactly as described and this was much appreciated at the end of a long day travelling. The location of the room for the cost is absolutely perfect. We had an amazing stay. Thank you

Great location of the area, needs a few fixes.

We had a couple of bad experiences on this day, but really liked the location and general room standard. A couple of easy fixes would be bulbs that didn’t work and clean mold in shower. However, the most stressful thing was arriving at 7:30 to find reception close and just a note telling you where you were and a big set of keys to access.

A map would’ve been useful to indicate that we are in a different building in the different street to where we thought we’d booked. I’m checking out the receptionist was very helpful by email and I managed to pay the tax by leaving it along with emailing passport details. We had to do this as we were busy meeting friends on the other side of Rome and we’re leaving very early in the morning

Location of our room was excellent, and I had accommodated my disability by putting me on the first floor, and there was a working lift. Just a few easy fixes to make this a great stay and it’s very close to the Vatican.

Air-conditioner was very loud, and at one stage, spat out lumps of ice! All made for an interesting day.
Have advised the hotel to leave a map, if they’re moving you without anybody present, and also a traffic light system on the bunch of keys to let you know which one you use first, second and third in the dark.

Awful experience from start to finish. Hotelier agreed alternative dates via email and reneged on the agreement forcing us to pay twice for a room. The room itself was cramped, stunk of smoke and was not clean. Air conditioning was noisey. Room was a good 10 minite walk away from the reception several blocks away.

Every day we had to call about no hot water. Ice cold showers. Only got clean towels after I asked for them. No cleaning our unit. Arrived after 9 hours flying to be told they were on lunch and would have to wait. Then had to wheel our luggage four blocks through busy Rome to find our accommodation. Daunting in a strange city and a language barrier too. Location was great for Vatican Museum, transportation- under ground - restaurants, and St Peters Basilica. Would probably not recommend to friends and family unfortunately.

DONT BOOK THIS PLACE !!!

First we arrive and there was nobody in the reception. We found a note with a new address and some keys. We went to the address and had to carry all the luggage 3 block away from the location. We got to the room and it was disgusting. The AC was not working, the towels had holes, the bathroom had fungus and there was white powder in the desk. I call the manage and he didn't answer. So we had to stay the night because it was already 12 midnight. We went to a meeting in the morning and after that I went to the reception and told them about the room. We tried to contact the property manager both the receptionist Federico and me and he didn't answer. I went and got another hotel cheaper then that one and much nicer 2 block from there and turn in the room to the receptionist telling them I want a refund for my room. They of course denied refund. Please dont book this place for your own peace of mind and health because its not sanatize and you wont get help from the owner.

Worst stay ever, would definitely not recommend it, let me start by saying I had to buy my own toilet paper, shower was super tiny 2x2 to be exact with door opening inwards that makes it almost impossible to go in, not to mention the broken shower head that sprinkles all over the shower and outside, AC didn’t work in one of the rooms and temperature outside was over 100 degrees. The carpet was dirty and was covered in plaster from the peeling walls. “No cleaning service due to covid” really? Still using that covid excuse. People were smoking in the rooms next to us that the doors were covered in black tar plus the smell was so strong we developed sore throats. Doors were very hard to put the keys in, we had to have some kind of skill to unlock the doors. We were a group of family of 12 and the put us 5 blocks away in a different building carrying our luggage through the crowd of people in 100 degrees temp. The guy just gave us a paper and basically said you’re on your own, didn’t even take the time to take us to the other building. They left no number or anything to contact them.

The room was very small for three people, but quite adequate for a short stay. A small fridge in the suite and a microwave in the corridor outside were the only amenities. Quiet, clean and secure, conveniently located and close to public transportation made it work well for us. We had a car, and surprisingly we were able to find free parking two blocks away next to a lovely bakery frequented by locals.

Nice location, shame about everything else

The hotel was in a good location being close to the Vatican , but was initially hard to find as there was no signage for it. Once inside we were greeted by a rather blunt receptionist who took us to the room. The room is extremely small and tight , the room was not like any of the photos and from the photos you are led to believe it's the company owns the whole building, but instead it's an old flat that has been converted to be a hotel. You had to walk sideways past the bed to get to the other side of the room and had to squeeze through the door to get into the bathroom, as the bathroom door hit the bed. Alot of the sockets didn't work and the bedside lamps didn't work, alot of the walls and skirting boards were falling apart. There was only enough hot water for one person , if you wanted a second shower you had to wait for the boiler to warm back up. On the last day we found 3 large cockroach-looking bugs in the room but there was nobody to report it to. Check out is at 10:30 , reception advised that you can leave your bags at the reception area until you need to collect them but the front door was left open at all times and the reception was often left unattended.

I wish I had read the Google reviews before staying (I would recommend anyone to view them before staying).
Unfortunately would not stay again as it put a cloud over the holiday.

First of, the hotel room was not in the hotel building. Had to walk 3 blocks to get to another building. I’ve never booked a hotel room we’re i had to walk 3 blocks in the rain with my bags. Unbelievable. The room was not big, no big deal for Rome, since the rooms are fairly small. But the bed was another thing. Literally, the bed was like a pyramid. In the middle it was pointed and the edges were so leaned, our faces were facing the frame bar. Not cool. Wi-Fi Inter net was not working. Texted the front desk person who stated that they would look into it but never did. Not cool. Shower water was somewhat hot, but after like 3 minutes the hotness would go away. We might of shared a water heater with 3 rooms. So if you didn’t get hot water, then you would be showering with cold water. Not cool when the temperature was in the low 50’s in April. TV channels were all in Italian. The only good thing I would say about this hotel was location. It’s close to the Vatican, Metro, taxi stands, food and Gelato stores. Overall, on a scale of 0-5, I rate this hotel room/company a solid 1.5. Please don’t waste your time and money. Look somewhere else. :(

This isn't a hotel rather an Airbnb type place with rooms to rent. Due to a \"problem with the shower\" we were allocated a room in another street. The quadruple room was ok with a fridge (was mostly clean but inches of dust on light fittings and behind TV) but the bathroom was mouldy and several fittings were damaged.

Very quaint place. If you like luxury this is definitely not the place for you. It’s very basic. We stayed for 6 nights and they didn’t come to do housekeeping even once. Also, the wifi works at the reception and they tell you that it works, in our case, the 4th floor, but it never did, even though I notified someone. It’s close to the Vatican and public transportation, as well as food options. The area also has a lot of garbage in the streets.

The location makes up for this. You can walk to St. Peter’s square and St. Angelo’s castle and the Vatican museums. Lots of good restaurants and mini marts around the block.

I am not sure where to start. This is not a hotel, this is more like one of those old buildings you see on old TV shows in New York City, you know where everyone is always complaining because nothing ever works? First off, look at the Google Street View of the location, there is no sign. It is more like an apartment someone owns in a building with a guy. So when you get there you are not sure you are there. Then somehow you have to get past a locked door. I finally figured this out and went up to the 3rd floor, probably better to expect to walk up the stairs. I got to the 3rd floor before the 2pm checkin and there as nobody there, the staff is only on duty very limited hours a day. As I was arriving late I was excited to pay for the 1st day because I thought that I would be able to checkin early, but no. No person around so I had to wait until 2pm to checkin even though I had paid for 1 full day I was unable to use. So the guy arrives, I get a Key for the room, the old, 100 year old looking key is difficult to use and I finally get into the room. It is Nothing like the pictures, this is a place to sleep for me and the bugs. Now lets ask why they exaggerate so much the \"soundproofing\" of the room. I was not in this room before the \"soundproofing\" was installed, only after and I can tell you they should fire the contractor who did the work. I could hear everything! No microwave, no usb charger, broken fridge, broken front door. wifi worked and it had a bed.

The pictures that are shown are not the same as what the property really is. The check in is at one place an the actual place is aprox. 5 min away… the linen was clean but so old, the pillow covers were ripped. Good location BUT BEWARE…

We booked for 2nts in July 2022 and ended up with room 101 at the 45 Famagosta property.

The second night we discovered BEDBUGS in 2 of the 3 beds—we received many bites, and could see the bugs. We barely slept the rest of the night. I told reception the next day when we were checking out along with messaging the owner but after a week still no response so I felt I should warn u here.

Also our shower head was broken so had barely any water spray.

It’s too bad the owner doesn’t seem to care about maintaining the condition of this property. Also note that the Famagosta property is about 600m away from the Via Catone property where the main reception is located. Only from there they will give u further directions to reach Famagosta (which was back in the direction we just came!)

The location is very good though—10 min walk to the Vatican and close to the metro line and lots of restaurants & shopping nearby.

This property is INFESTED with bedbugs. The first night we discovered bedbugs. They moved us to another room, claiming the first they knew about it. The second room next night, same thing. Again complained. Staff were useless. Worst still, they sold that first room to a young family with three kids the next day. Wife has allergic reaction to bedbug bites. We want our money back. And when we get home, we’ll have to clean/debug our clothes and luggage. What a nightmare!!

Worst ever, faulsly advertised, hotel ever

I have used Hotel.com for years and have been very satisfied till now. This was the pits! The room was shabby and dirty, the amenities advertised were non existent, there was no service or cleaning, the towels were not changed in 6 days and you needed to be a contortionist to use the bathroom. The room was in a building a significant distance from the reception. When challenged regarding dissatisfaction, the manager became abusive and threatened us with eviction. Hotels.com attempted to mediate to no avail. The whole stay was overshadowed by the fear we would return to the room and discover our belongings had been removed. Do not stay at this property.

Mala experiencia.

Nuestra experiencia con el hotel fue bastante incómoda. Para comenzar cuando hice la reservación a través de la aplicación escogí cuarto con Balcon. Cuando llegamos a Roma conseguirlo no fue tan dificil, lo difícil fue que después que llegamos al 3er piso del edificio donde está la recepción que por cierto es un poco incómodo si tienes mucho equipaje, el recepcionista nos indica que nuestra habitación está localizada en otro edificio a 8 minutos caminando de alli. Sin ningún tipo de ayuda tuvimos que regresar a la avenida y empezar a caminar hacia otra dirección. O sea, mi decisión de elegir ese hotel era por la ubicación, pero nos enviaron a otra parte, que por cierto, no era una mala ubicación, quizá era mejor, pero eso no se lo dicen a uno aquí. A fin de cuentas, el cierto era muy pequeño, la cama incómoda y el balcón…. No valía la pena. En fin, la ubicación es muy buena, pero no es nada parecido a lo que espera.

This place, isn't a fancy hotel. Location is excellent, 6 minutes to St. Peter's Basilica, 10 to Museum of The Vatican, groceries, convenience stores, restaurants and shopping. Staff is way too helpful. Giovanni, the owner is available online for any inquire 24/7. Giovanni will do whatever he can for you to enjoy your trip with no worries.

close to vatican! MEH room! not horrible!

What gets me the most is people do this for a business! now imagine you open a restaurant or coffeeshop and you dont offer water? or you dont offer napkins? imagine you walked into a coffeeshop or a restaurant and it was just 4 rooms and a wall?
well this is what you get here! basically nothing!!
I mean seriously, these guys are professional???? this is a professional business?
because its certainly not someones home!
this apartment is run down!! old pillows, old towels, old sheets, old beds!
bare walls, bare everything! its not even a very comfortable place to sleep, which of course is what you end up just doing in a hotel anyways, but come on!!! for the price of 120 euros a night!!!
you telling me, they cant reinvest into the property?
now its not totally ghetto, dont get me wrong, but its not a 100 euro+ a night space, its more like 50, so if you can get it for a deal at around 50 or 60 then id say its ok, but still, I dont understand how people dont have pride in their businesses! and this shows in this property! there is ZERO, NOTHING italian about this property! in fact I think its run by indians! no offence to indians, Im just saying.

The Hotel canceled my Expedia booking calming my credit-card did not work. We originally booked a 3 bedroom apartment but they changed that to 3 hotel rooms. When we arrived at the hotel they had managed to magically charge my card with a down payment, the same card they said did not work. In the end I did not get the Expedia points coming to me. The hotel had an excellent location near local restaurants and very close to the Vatican. The staff was helpful but came into our room one night while our children were asleep claiming they were looking for blankets. Overall a very disappointing experience, I think this hotel should be under review by Expedia.

Deluxe? Where?

I booked Deluxe Rooms imagining a romantic getaway for my wife and I as it was her birthday.
With this information in mind they did nothing or suggested nothing to make her day special.
The room was tiny. The facilities seem dated. Internet was sub-par. The only thing Deluxe about this place was the price to stay there. This was my third time in Rome and I've stayed in better places before- my advice is avoid this place if you're looking for comfort away from home.

I was a little confused after I booked the room, but everything turned out fine. You are not in a regular hotel, but in a room inside of an apartment building. We were pleased with our room and the service we received. We didn't expect luxury conditions and we are not fussy travelers, so I think that is why we enjoyed this change of pace. Our window looked out onto a busy little street and made you feel as if you actually lived there. The manager was very helpful in answering my e-mail questions in advance of our stay and during. Check in was also smooth. I would advise people to give it a try.

The rooms are located in a central area , you can walk to Vatican musiem, and there are nice restaurants around, and there is a nice vegetable and fruit market 3 minutes walk.

I suggest you use google maps/photos to assist you finding the place. The hotel's main selling point for me was its location next to the Vatican as I was on a pilgrimage. Reasonably priced restaurants are situated close to the hotel.

Great location in the Prati neighborhood

Booked this room through an Expedia package (room & flight); traveled March, 2016. Having been to Europe previously, I knew what to expect regarding the size of the hotel rooms. This was right on par with that: small, but it got the job done. We stayed at the Via Catone 21 building, located on a quiet side street just a 5 minute walk from Vatican City and the Ottaviano train stop (on the A Line). Via Ottaviano is a great street in the Prati neighborhood, with many restaurants, coffee and gelato shops, and stores lining it and all the surrounding streets as well. You can stay in this area and find a new place to eat lunch or dinner for weeks! Check-in to the room was smooth, and the staff was friendly. This is definitely not a hotel, but an apartment building where \"regular\" families live. I really liked that aspect of this location, because I felt as if I was living life among the Roman people. Deluxe Rooms seems to have bought several apartment units in this vintage building and turned the apartments into private sleeping rooms with individual bathrooms. Our room, which accommodated three (queen and single beds), was small, but worked well for what we needed: a place to sleep and get refreshed before going out to explore Rome each day. If you want to spread out in your room, this is not the place for you. Bathroom had a shower stall and was absolutely great. No fancy frills, but everything was clean and met our needs. Absolutely would stay here again when in Rome.

Once we were checked in and escorted to the apartment we did not see any staff for the duration of our stay. The plumbing is terribly noisy resulting in broken sleep every night. Take ear plugs if you are staying in block B Via Leone 1V.

Misleading Hotel advertisement

1. Beware of the misleading advertising done by this hotel. It may show that the location is in Via Catone 21 but that is just where the lobby is located so you will have to check in there yet your room might be located farther away. I was extremely displeased to even get a text confirmation use if this adress when my room was actually located at a location outside of Vatican City. Very unprofessional and misleading.
2. After working out the discrepancies with the actual location of my room. We then had another trmamatizing situation with our stay. We became locked into the hotel as the hallway to our room has a door that locks from the outside. The staff was very unapologetic, stating \"yes we know it locks from the outside, but that's never happened\". Well it happened and we were letting waiting for an hour for help to let us of the hotel to finally enjoy our stay in Rome.
3. Overall, spend the extra money and save yourself the headache of booking with Deluxe Rooms

We had to traipse from one pension to find ours. We only saw our student consiege at this time so there was no one to help when we couldn't open the pension door! The room was basic with a bathroom. Cleaned daily but no tea making facilities. Location very good for Vatican and Metro.

I loved this hotel. Their set-up is non-traditional -- instead of having all their rooms in one building, they have rooms in multiple buildings around the same area of Rome. My mother booked with the same hotel but was in a different location nearby. Both of our rooms were quite cozy and situated in historic buildings with lovely outdoor courtyards.
The beds were comfortable, the television worked, the shower was very nice, and the Free Wifi worked well enough to flawlessly stream Netflix on my tablet.
The only less-than-stellar aspect of the hotel is the number of keys needed to get into your room. You need a total of 3 keys: 1 to open the door of the building, 1 to open the hallway where the Deluxe Rooms are situated, and 1 for the room itself. The key for the room itself is an older type of key that can be a little frustrating to use (especially when locking the door from the inside).
Overall, it was a lovely hotel, great value, and I would definitely stay there again.

***WARNING*** BAD HOTAL...

When we first arrived we were told we couldn't check in early, so fine right. Then 2pm came around then we checked in and to find out that our room was at another location. we had to pay a lot of money to stay at the hotel near the Vatican. They gave us the address and basically we had to find our way there. We got lost (like go figures) then finally found the place, there was a maid who gave us the key and walked away before I can say \"h...\" I was going to tell her \"Hi thank you, can please show us the room\" but no she walked away without showing us nothing. Like we were expected to know where the room was at. This building was like an apartment complex, a couple stories high. We called the male manager and told him that the maid didn't show us where the room was at. He got made and said he was coming to help, we waited about 3 hours till he showed up. We finally shows up and takes us to the room.

This hotel has bed bugs everywhere, and I mean everywhere. The shower hose looks very old so it breaks so we tell them, and they never fixed it. Our showers were very comfortable.

They don't change the bed sheets nor bed covers.

THIS IS NOT A HOTEL!

We stayed in an awesome room in a building from1880's ! Beautiful courtyard. It was like we were living in Rome instead of just staying there. Easy walking distance to Vatican. Tons of shops and restaurants! In historical district. BUT it is not a Hotel. You find your own parking on the street. The building the office is in only has a name marker on the call box on the building. It's like renting a tiny apartment with daily cleaning. We loved it but it was NOT what we expected

We had a good stay here, I would recommend this hotel because of the very central location (vatican is only about 5 minutes away), the rooms are pretty simple and clean and the staff is also helpful. The price was also great! The only downside is the wifi, it is slow and not always working.

Nice hotel (residence) steps away from Vatican

Good location next to Vatican. Closest metro station is Ottaviano. Both are approximately 5 mins away walking.
Within approximately 2 you also have Piazza Del Risorgimiento where you can take both bus and street car in pretty much any direction.

Staff are pleasant and speak decent English.

The hotel offers various discounts for restaurants in the area; however, we decided to decline that option and explore on our own.

Small but efficient- definitely book the double room, the single is a shoe box with a bed. The owner, door man & office girl are great & make you feel rite at home. If you're looking for a luxury hotel this is not the place for you but, if you want to feel like you live in Rome this is your place. I would definitely stay there again
