we used to stay since 2004 on yearly basis at same hotel , but unfortunately this time will be last time we stay their , for the below reasons:
1- No hard renovation has been made to the hotel
2- Old bed and mattress and linen
3- Cleaning the floor room using wet towel and not water and soap
4- Fridge door not closing
5- Safe box not working
6- AC too noisy and not working well
7- No tasty food any more
8- No snacks as usual during the day chips and Popcorn
9- No more free shuttle to Neama bay
finally we thanks Mr Samir Rashwan the Manager for nice welcoming and help to solve all the above

Concorde El Salam Is Definitely Not a 5-Star Resort — Don’t Waste Your Money

My stay at Concorde El Salam in Sharm El Sheikh was a complete disappointment. Here’s why:
• This place is definitely not 5 stars — don’t let the rating fool you.
• some of the Food was old and tasteless — definitely not fresh, and even worse, it was cheap and lacked basic proteins.
• Drinks were sloppy and poorly made.
• Snack time overlaps with lunch, which makes no sense at all.
• The beach is overcrowded, and guests are competing for spots and sunbeds — far from relaxing.
• There are no bathrooms at the beach, which is completely ridiculous. You have to walk up stairs and uphills to get to a restaurant that has a restroom.
• No uber or taxi allowed to get into the hotel, so you have to walk all the way out to the gate to get a transportation.
• It’s falling apart, with outdated and damaged infrastructure, and the rooms have an old, worn-out design that hasn’t been updated in years.
. They spray pesticides without any prior warning. Total health hazard!
• Staff were unprofessional and, at times, hostile — the customer service was shockingly bad.
• Getting around the resort is exhausting — there are way too many stairs and uphill paths between areas.
• Bars close at midnight, so don’t expect to enjoy your evenings.
• Music at the beach was loud, unpleasant, and made the atmosphere worse instead of better.
. Some of the resort’s floors are slippery. You gotta watch out or else you’d break your back

Nice resort with decent amenities. However, it seems to be a little bit old and the furniture could be renovated. The resort is generally clean but not tidy clean, probably due to the lack of renovation including the plates, cups, and silverware.

The staff and service were amazing. Food quality was excellent.

The only issue I faced was that the AC was too loud in the sweet I had. This noise affected my sleep. We had to turn it off from time to time to switch between getting cool air and staying quite for sometimes.

Other than that the hotel, the staff, the amenities, the food and everything else was awesome.

I highly recommend the hotel to anyone, who is looking for a nice vacation in Sharm The l Sheikh.

Beautiful hotel right on the water. Staff were very friendly. Our 1st full day our housekeeper made a point to introduce himself and asked if we needed anything. Everyone was very polite and helpful. Hotel has an amazing private coral reef. Hotel offers scuba diving, snorkeling, and private tours for all the nearby attractions. They made it very easy to book a hike up to Mt Sinai. Excellent buffet. Amazing spa. Highly recommend!

This hotel had a serious problem with food. The best description of the type of meals was by a friend: Hospital food. Sadly the open buffet was a 3 star category in a supposedly 5 star hotel, very low quality. The hotel is very well located and clean though, with great corals and view of Sharks bay.

From worse to worst!

Starting from the very long entrance that you need to keep walking because they never call a golf cart for you. To the fully crowded lobby because only internet works there and it's not reliable and slow.
The infinity pool is just a view and it's so cold no one use it. The indoor pool is only free for one hour and then you have to pay!!!
Ugly restaurant with limited options and cold food. The other 2 good restaurants also you need to pay extra charge to eat well.
The transportation is only to the center and also you have to pay.
From misleading advertising to unprofessional hotel staff and some of them are even rude, you're absolutely wasting almost a 200$ per night just to kepp paying more and at the end it's not the best vacation hotel and value for money is zero.
In breif I'd never recommend it and I'd never go back there again.

I would suggest to have a Menu more oriented to Mediterranean food. The menu that we have was very similar all of the days. You shouldn't charge for natural juices. Te game room is very small for the amount of kids

Hey Solo Traveller, read the 5 stars fine prints..

I made a paid reservation 2 months ahead of my arrival but when I came to check-in on April 22nd. I was told they are going to find a room. I request a room with garden (not sea) view but they gave a room by the grass, then when I told them that the fridge was not working, it took them 4 hours to send someone to check it & replaced it. As for the HAlf-Board, the guest can drink juice/coffee/tea/water only in the breakfast buffet but in dinner time the guest has to pay for these 4 items. How low will the so-called 5 stars resort will go. That is shameful, the resort is located by the Red Sea. As for the relations between all levels of employees, it was very noticeable that it was very bad and the lower level of employees were dragging their feet working just to keep their jobs. Treating an Egyptian Solo Traveler was really bad during the chech-in time. I will not go back again to this so-called 5 stars resort and I told family & friends about everything I experienced at this resort.

If you like Russians, you will love this place

Our beginning wasn't so great, although we had arranged for the free airport shuttle to pick us, there was no one waiting there for us. It only got sorted out and hour later after four calls to the hotel. Things improved however after we arrived. Our check in was smooth and pleasant and we appreciated the early check in- 9am. Natalia from guest relations was very helpful. Our room was good. It could have been cleaner. We also liked the fact that they changed the bedding everyday. they did not always replace toiletries however. Almost all the guests there were Russian and the stuff spoke more Russian than English. The cuisine was also more inclined to Russian/Ukrainian food. Just be mindful. if you are on half or full board, make sure you understand the drinks policy. We had to pay for all our drinks. We enjoyed the pool facilities and the coral beach. For us, the best thing about our stay was the courtesy and friendliness of the hotel staff.

hotel great, security is bad

the hotel was good, food is nice and animation show was very nice. however I was unhappy with the Security team when I claimed that my tracksuit was stolen when I left it on a chair outside my room with the swimming suit, when I wake up in the morning the tracksuit was gone and only the swimming suit was there. the security team came in and searched all my luggage and search outside the room and found nothing (which is something I already did before submit my claim to them), no security camera and they blamed other customer to steal my tracksuit. I didn't care about the tracksuit but was worried because it is unsecure even in a 5-star hotel.

concorde was a fun experience. The staff are very nice the waiters can be a little clingy and don't leave you alone. The reception management is amazing they really took care of all of our needs. The food is not that good at all. They offer a buffet but out of the main course meals there's nothing that is tasteful. my friend and I went to soho restaurants to eat almost daily which wasn't fun as we paid for dinner and breakfast.

I would probably come here again with my whole family however Concorde needs to improve their main course meals!

It was just seven days in the paradise

The hotel is fantastic and has many leisure facilities. Many swimming pools, the hotel is giving free shuttle bus from and to airport. The hotel staff are very co-operative and doing their best efforts to make the stay of guests full of happiness. The food is fantastic and versatile.
The hotel has a very nice beach and their is coral reef no one can imagine how much it's beautiful and nice especially with coloured fish. So many programs for swimming, snorkling and diving.

My 7th stay at this hotel.

This was my tenth time in Sharm and the seventh at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and make you welcome. It is in a quiet area of Sharm, near Soho Square where you can go for a walk and have a drink or visit the shops. The food is fine and the entertainment is also very good. It is also a very good hotel for couples, families or on your own.

The Hotel situation & position is great related to Sharm El Sheikh, first I asked for handicapped room access, so first answered from their front desk mgr, we are not a handicapped hotels??!!
I was wonder how is to be 5 Stars hotel & you do not have any handicapped , I saw many many hotels all over the world, never heard that before,

Good hotel to relax. Very near to soho square.

I booked this trip for my family, we booked 2 suites and 1 room.
The only downside was, it was a feast vacation and the hotel was almost fully booked.
Hotel rooms are good with spacious space and also confortable.
The hotel itself has a large landscape, where you won't feel it's too crowded, with a number of pools.

My review is against the staff, they are always trying to apologize only after u complain...
for example
1) we had all rooms ready before checkin time which is good. Except the remaining suite we checked in later around 3 pm after checkin time with one hour. And they were saying it will be ready in 5 minutes for 3 hours.
2) room service lacks floor towels and body lotions, and when we called them... sorry we dont have enough to cover all guests... because the hotel is crowded !!!
3) the politness of the staff and the golf car team.... my mother in law is a cardiac patient. And travelling in the heat is a straineous activity for her. So she almost require a golf car for transportation from room to pool or reception.
Some staff were polite, others just not!!
4) Food varieties weren't enough

To sum up
the hotel was very good but avoid in crowded season. They just can't withstand to be fully booked and i am sorry to say that, because this hotel got the potential.

great hotel for couples

I really enjoyed staying in this hotel.staff are friendly and helpful.
They have a shuttle bus every 10min between the two hotels.
Nice people great experience.
This is my number one hotel in Sharm el shiekh.
The only thing i didnt like was not having slippers in washroom.when i did ask for it they said you have to pay for it.
Not very healthy.

I can't describe how wonderful this hotel is. The staff are so so friendly and accommodating and the hotel is beautiful. The grounds are magnificent and facilities endless. We had a wonderful time and want to go back. We wan't to say a special thank you to the staff at the hotel and especially the staff at the pool bar who made our stay so memorable ( special cocktail...tricky rams...ha ha!! ) They will know what we mean. We went to the desert also and had a fab time... a big thank you to the guide that took us through the desert!! The artist near the private beach who produced some wonderful pictures for us.. etc. etc. This is a wonderful hotel and exceeded all our expectations.

The main dining room was dirt, tables left with dirty plates etc. people were taking dirty cutlery from the bins to eat their meals.

Our hotel room had brown stains on the tiled wall in the bathroom which were still there when we departed, despite requests to clean the room, plates of half eaten food were left on the stairways for several days.

The staff in general were rude and not helpful, with the exception of the pool and Italian restaurant staff

Second visit to this hotel, first visit was 7 years ago. It is still a good choice for a "value for money" hotel. Staff are attentive and always happy to help, although room was not cleaned one day and there were never enough towels left in the room. Food was fine and the choice of being able to eat breakfast in the Italian restaurant was a nice addition. Local brand drinks is always a bit hit and miss but managed to have some lovely piña coladas made for me. The red wine is also ok. We always found something ok to eat each mealtime as there is plenty of choice. All in all, we had a great time and all the staff we came into contact with were brilliant.

This is a clean nice 4 star hotel. It is not a luxury hotel . Likes : Beach is very nice for snorkelling. Location is good. Very close to airport and SoHo square. There is a free shuttle to the airport and to some main touristic areas like neama bay. Wi-fi is free in pulic areas but almost impossible to get connected. Dislike: Restaurants are over crowded and not very clean . Food is not bad , dinners better.

Bad service from hotel.com and hotel

I booked to stay here and after confirmation and money was taken from my account went to the hotel.
I ended up having to stay 5 hours in reception as hotel.com and the hotel didn't communicate. Eventually after 5 hours of waiting - not feeling well - bad bad service - the hotel phoned hotel.com and finally worked out. I was assigned to a concierge who walked 1/4 of the way to my room and then simply pointed and gave directions once away from reception. I'd been upgraded to a better room for my hassle but it was miles away- once I was there the tv didn't work- this was fixed at 2am .
Overall dreadful experience on both the hotel and hotel.com

Well presented hotel with wonderful staff.

We stayed at the Concorde El Salam Hotel mid April 2014. We suspect that the hotel was approximately 75% full at the time. The pool was excellent ( maybe a little cold for some) and the pool staff were very helpful putting up umbrellas etc. We were there for one week and there was plenty of sunbeds available at all times. The food was adequate, it was always well cooked and hot just some of the combinations may not be to everyone's taste. We stayed at the beach front hotel but did visit the sports hotel further inland. If you particularly want the beach and a quieter pool i would recommend staying at the beach front side to avoid having to use the shuttle bus which can be busy during certain periods. Waiters were very attentive to our needs, happy to bring drinks and not once during the holiday were we hassled to leave a tip. Overall a very enjoyable holiday in the sun.

Hotel was too crowded and understaffed. Could not find a place to sit neither by the beach nor by the pools. Beach is a rock beach not suitable for swimming. Room was twin even though we requested a double king bed. Rooms were tiny. Hot water for coffee and tea only provided if you ask and you have to pay for it. Staff were rude and exhausted. From my experience I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Luckily we changed hotels after 2 nights and ended up having a good time.

We stayed in a family 2 bedroom apartment

Food provided for breakfast was the same everyday. The main restaurant was not cleaned thoroughly, dirty splashes visable on all the cabinet housing, tables not cleaned after clearing.

Only 2 chairs provided on the patio. Exit to the patio is via one of the bedrooms instead of the lounge area

Hotel apartments needs upgrading in the kitchenette and bathroom areas. Lighting was poor in the bedrooms. Kitchenette poorly kitted out, the only items was an outdated fridge, kettle 4 cups, 4 teaspoons and 2 glasses.

Comunication was difficult as the staff were not able to speak English.

The Hotel is in a nice location and the pool was good.

A very nice hotel experience!

We stayed in Concorde El Salam 'Beach' for Christmas and New Year. We booked 'Beach' as we had read that the rooms were nicer and quieter, freshly renovated with sea views, I think this was true. The sister hotel Concorde 'road' has an aqua park and of course more children. We travelled with our 10 year old who prefers snorkeling in the sea to swimming pools and the reef in front of Concorde was out of this world! There are attendants watching that people don't touch or swim over the coral and I've never been to a place where the reef is so looked after. To have such pristine underwater beauty and unbelievable quantity and variety of sea life a few meters from shore and your hotel was truly amazing!
To be honest we didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel. We went to Egypt to kite surf, snorkel and scuba dive in a nice climate. We choose Concorde as we didn't want to risk getting ill and ruin the chance of doing the things we had come to do. I don't think we were 'typical' visitors to the hotel but the reviews for the food and cleanliness suited us and turned out to be a good choice for a first time visit.
We talked to people from other hotels who did get ill and who said the catering was not so good in their hotels.
The Concorde was one of the most modern and beautiful and clean hotels that we passed through on our 2 week stay.
There was entertainment every evening next to the restaurant, belly dancing, Chinese acrobats, singers etc but after a day of extreme activity we were finished and retired early! What entertainment we did see looked to be of a good quality. Being just that bit further away towards the beach helped with our sleeping as things got loud there at around 21.00 every night. The hotel provided us with a good breakfast box most mornings and we were off at 07.00 on on our way to kite surf or catch a boat to Tiran Island or Ras Mohammed etc.
Overall the atmosphere and the personnel in the hotel was great. Everything was neat and tidy, they couldn't do enough for you and all generally with a smile. Hany made the bed each day in a different way, elephants and swans, with flowers etc. ...really made our 10 year laugh, and nice to come 'home' to.
Our passion to kit surf brought us to Kite Junkies 15 minutes in a mad minibus drive north along the road that links Sharm. These minibus trips gave us a taste of something approaching 'real Egypt'. Crazily fast or frustratingly slow, no seat belts or no lights, ghost riding and tooting (but never aggressively!) the Koran blaring out and the haggling for the price and then the good natured wave, 'come on board', we got to really like the mini buses.
We all felt safe and welcomed at at all times. We did and saw a lot of things. I think we will certainly try to visit Sharm again.

I think that is needs to be clearer on both the Expedia link and the Concorde Hotel link that there are two Concorde hotels- which are in my opinion very different in the quality. Somehow we were booked into the Concorde Sports Hotel which is not nearly as nice as the "front side" Concorde. The room was smelly, unclean and mold was growing in the shower. We then requested and paid for an upgrade to the "front side." The room had recently been remodeled so it was confortable and nice. I also did not like how most announcemnets were in Russian so half of the time the English speaking guests were not informed or included in activities. This was disappointing especially when there were kids activities involved.

Our stay at this hotel was a bit disappointing after seeing the previous reviews. When we arrived at the airport there was no shuttle service at the airport and the telephone number that was supplied through our reservation was not connected. We ended up taking at cab to the hotel and when we spoke to the front desk all we got was a shrug of shoulders. Check in went very easy and we were introduced to a staff member who was supoosed to escort us to our room...half way to the room the staff member told us to just keep walking and we would eventually get there!
The room was nice with a great view of the sea...very pleased that the cot we requested was already in the room and set up.
Meals were adequate but nothing impressive..key is to wait about an hour after meal service starts then it is not so crowded and easier to find a seat.
We stayed in the front hotel but went to the sports centre one afternoon. Front side is definitely much cleaner, less busy and generally a more relaxed feel.
Overall our stay was ok but won't be going back.

This is NOT a 5 Star hotel (despite what the hotel may claim). Breakfast was the worst i have ever had.

When booking we were led to believe that this hotel was very near Old Sharm, but that was not the case. It is next to the airport and noisy. We were seriously misled.

Fantastic hotel with too many russian guests

Overall, the hotel is very good, has a very nice beach, swimming pools, gym, spa, and all the staff are extremely friendly and provide excellent service, listen to the guests needs, are really helpful and interested in making a very nice holiday for you.

The hotel is superb, I really recommend it. My wife and I had a fantastic time there. The restaurant is very good, with a fantastic breakfast buffet and dinner with loads of good food. The sea is amazing, you can swim all the day and see colourful corals and thousands of fishes. You will have help and support from the staff for everything you need.

The only problem is that 96% of the guests are russians who think they are the only nationality staying there on holiday. Russian guests are very rude, dont speak to anyone who doesn't know russian and this may make you feel discriminated. If you don't mind about russians and their attitude, you will have one of your best holidays ever.

We only had a minor problem, the room was supposed to be in the non-smoking area, but it had a very strong cigarrete smell, probably because the russians in the next rooms smoked all the day inside their rooms and their smoke came through the ventilation system. We called reception and they immediately changed our room to a much better one. No problems at all in the new room, I really appreciate to have had such a friendly staff, who took immediate action and didn't let our holiday ruin because of those drunk and stupid russians.

Concorde Sharm Egypt

Hi all,

Before going I read some of the reviews and was kinda worried about the hotel. Firstly, there are two parts to this hotel, the front part (which is 5 star) and the sports area which is 4 star.

I stayed in the sports area. It is nice and clean and the staff are very friendly. The sports area is mainly used by Russian guests and the first 30 minutes of feeding time can be challenging (with some people trying to skip the queue). Otherwise, nice normal hotel (although it was off putting to see the bar man keep trying to chat up teenage Russian girls)

Room, well past prime in desperate need of renovation with horrible mold/mildewy smell in bathroom and fungal smell from air conditioner.
This is not a 5*property.
Tiny beach area.
Beach party at night into wee hours of morning will blast bassy boom boom boom beat into your room and keep you from sleeping. big mistake to stay here, wanted to leave after first night, and did leave before completing entire stay. So glad didn't buy into the upgrade to full board food and drink.

On positive note, enjoyed the Italian restaurant and room service pizza was reasonably priced for the area which is generally overpriced.

Also, when management became aware of dissatisfaction, they did attempt to resolve things, and they do apparently have rooms that don't stink, but not rooms immune from disco noise.

Would definitely not stay here again.

Well here is my honest rating.. the hotel has amazing views there are two sections for this hotel with a free running shuttle in between. I will recommend you to stay in the sport section , its much cleaner and better food, you can always take the shuttle and use the other part of the hotel its 3 minutes away. Related to service its top notch , I used to work in the hotel business for years and that's by far one of the best I've seen. Related to activities , you won't find more activities than this hotel , I mean they have horse back ridding for god sake..:) , now couple of tips ,, the hotel is located 10 minutes by car from sharm downtown (naama bay) so make sure you arrange transportation and try not to get a joining room as there is plenty of smokers and the cigarette smoke comes from the adjacent room so I had to put a wet towel under that door,, just minor stuff but honestly I stayed in 5 hotels in sharm and this is THE BEST.. enjoy ur trip.

This hotel looked great from the advertisement on the internet, but after checking in we were shown to our suite, which was basic, shabby and resembled student accomodation. Airconditioning vents above our beds had dirt and dust hanging out of it, paint was peeling of the wall in the room, and the bedding cover was soiled. When we checked out later that day the hotel staff were extremely rude and arrogant. We checked in to the nearby Four Seasons hotel, which was almost the same price per night, and were happy to find superb accomodation and service.

It would be hard to describe the Concorde El Salam Hotel as being 5 star.
The hotel rooms need to be renovated and we experienced a number of power cuts during our stay. The rooms were much more basic than expected.
The hotel reception's ceiling also partially caved in due to unusually heavy rain and the rain appeared to be cascading through the ventilation and airconditioning vents. The outdoor pool also filled with mud from the gardens after the rains. The beach is ok but quite overcrowded and a number of the loungers were broken.
The atmosphere of the hotel is best descibed as being rather unsophisticated and many of the clientele are rude and noisy. The staff are generally very pleasant , but service is slow.
The food was poor and the breakfast offered no healthy options. Better food in the evening can be found in the nearby Soho Square which offered a few good restaurants (Thai , Chinese , Middle Eastern and Indian).
The best thing about our stay was the scuba diving which was great and we went with the nearby Sinai Dive Club.
We would not return.

an awesome holiday a definate must

This was a great holiday for our family 3 teenagers and ourselves, plenty to do, room we had was the junior suite which had 2 bathrooms which was fantastic. The room service was geat. The hotel facilities were geat including the pools and beach, we had room and breakfast, which was great as we vetnured out and looked around Soho Square which is 5 minutes walk, where there was somthing for everyone, the food was awesome great 5* quality...not one bad tummy, and everybody satisfied from Indian food, thai, malay, lebanese, eqgyptian, steak and fish and chips. Great realing holiday and not too expensive for 5

THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES......THE SUIT WE RESERVED WAS FILTHY WITH STAINS IN THE TUBS...STICKY TABLES....WASTE BASKETS FULL....TAINED FURNITURE....WE WERE TOLD THIS WAS THE BEST SUITE....HATE TO SEE THE WORST!!!....WE WERE MOVED TO A NORMAL TWIN AND ASKED TO SIGN AND HAND WRITE A PAPER STATING THAT WE WOULD PAY THE PRICE OF THE ORIGINAL BOOKING.....AT THE AIRPORT WE HAD TO WAIT FOR 45 MINUTES FOR A COUPLE THAT NEVER APPEARED.....THE LIST GOES ON...A MANAGER HUMILIATED A WAITER IN FRONT OF THE FULL LUNCH BUFFET...SCREAMING AT FULL VOLUME AT HIM FOR DROPPING A PLATE....REALLY NOT ACCEPTABLE......

This hotel and resort is a 20 minute taxi ride from Sharm and most of the guests seem to be on all inclusive packages so if you don't want to eat in the hotel every night be prepared for a journey. I preferred the restaurants in the old market area of Sharm, lots of fresh fish and a friendly atmosphere. Went diving from the hotel which was brilliant and the snorkelling at the hotel was amazing. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Would definitely go back.

The hotel was kept very tidy and the quality of service was excellent. We had a sea view room which was kept clean but the quality of fixtures and fittings was poor. Location is great for a beach holiday but options for eating out are limited unless you travel by taxi to another bay. We were not all inclusive but the breakfasts were excellent with a huge choice so I imagine the evening meals should be pretty good.. The main pool is closed in late January for four weeks maintenance so try to avoid that period. I would certainly go back again.

Fun in the sun in Sharm

Concorde el Salam in Sharm (not the Sports opposite the road, in case you get confused) - was an overall great hotel ! Booked the larger executive room which might be worth it, as the standard rooms seem a bit small. Although even the exec needed a bit more love in terms of furniture, otherwise bathroom, balcony & bed were all great. Small bath however with shower but no big deal.
The views from hotel are phenomenal - excactly what you see on the website is exactly what you get (even better!!) and the rimflow pool is great with a bar in the middle you swim too. Private beach is perfect gets full but fun. Didn't attempt their restaurants due to Egypt's poor hotel food reputation, didn't look nice either all buffet style, however room service food good - worth going to proper restaurants in Naama Bay.
Not 5 star, but doubt any hotel in Egypt really is. Beware of the locals they try charge ludacris prices if you act like a uneducated tourist (i.e. airport taxi charged us 180 Egyptian Pounds as opposed to standard 75...) Definitely do diving not just snorkelling (girls even if you scared, it's fine!), quad biking through desert, and death-defying-bus-tour to Cairo....horrendous trip but worth it when you see the Pyramids..... Hope this review helps!

The hotel was lovely - it was rated 5* but I didn't think the service was quite up to 5* European standards, although it was good. I went with my daughter and our twin bedded room was large with a good sized bathroom, clean, well furnished and comfortable. The grounds were well kept and the pools (5 altogether I think) were very clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We would recommend this hotel and we want to go back next Christmas.

We did a boat trip where we snorkled and my daughter dived. That was well organised and the qualified divers were friendly, helpful and very conscious of safety. Seing the coral and the underwater life was fantastic.

We also took a day trip to Cairo by air (again Sharm airport not well organised and neither was Cairo airport) however it was worth the hassle as we saw Cairo, went to the museum, sailed down the Nile for a few miles and went to the pyramids - wonderful. A day not to be missed.

The hotel runs a shuttle every evening to Nama Bay where the night life is lively and there are lots of shops. The shop keepers come out and invite you in to their shops - if you say no, you have to mean it because they can be very persuasive. However, they are friendly and polite and they have to make a living like everyone else so do be polite as well when you refuse.

The weather was warm 26-27 Deg.C and the rest of the time we spent relaxing by the pool or on the beach. A lovely holiday and one we hope to repeat.

Great hotel that is kept up very well. The room was a little small with fairly old sheeting but overall was in good condition. The overall hotel was extremly nice. I would stay here again. The only issue was being able to get drinks during meals. alot of the time we was almost complete with the meal before getting a drink.

This holiday was a first time holiday for me and my boyfriend and the first overseas holiday for both of us for a long while. It did not disappoint. On arrival the hotel staff and appearance of the hotel were both impressive, you're taken to your room on a golf buggy round the complex and the ameneties pointed out to you along the way. The main pool area is spacious and it's a really short walk to a small but clean beach which is private to the complex. Would recommend paying the extra for a sea view or deluxe room, as these have the best views and are close to everything. Snorkelling in this part of the world is quite amazing, and there's lots of facilities for diving as well. Evening entertainment can get repetetive so take advantage of the free bus shuttle to Naama bay for a bit of variety. I would recommend all inclusive as the food is excellent. As always with Egypt, steer well clear of tap water, ice in drinks and to be safe, avoid salad and prepared fruits as it has probably been washed in it. All in all, a fantastic holiday and we will definitely be going back.

Inconsistent Level of Service

The Hotel staff strived for 5 Star but didn't quite make it. The A/C stopped working, the drain in the bathroom was plugged, and the refrig was out of order with a bad odor. My parents room was next to a sewer cover which omitted a bad odor when the wind was right. I may have also gotten Tutenkamun's revenge either from the pool or the food.
