Had a lovely stay at Groeslon Ty Mawr. It's a proper old-fashioned B&B that reminded me of childhood holidays. Mark and Ruth were very welcoming and kind and made me feel right at home.
I stayed upstairs in the main building. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean and cosy with a lovely view out over the valley. There were all the usual amenities like a kettle, small TV and so on. The room had a sink, which was convenient since the bathroom was shared. However, I think it was only shared with one other room and there was never anyone else in it when I needed to use it. There was a delicious freshly-cooked breakfast in the morning on top of a selection of cereals, fruit juices and tea/coffee. Ruth was happy to make me a vegetarian version.
The tea room is open during the day but there didn't seem to be food on offer in the evening and they don't offer a packup/early breakfast if you need to go out earlier than 8am. Fair enough since they're up early as it is for breakfast service and don't get a day off! There are plenty of dinner options close by in Llanberis or Bangor.

There is some confusion over which rooms are dog friendly. Check before you book. However, owner was dog accommodating. Pubs and take-away about 10 minute drive away.

DISGUSTED. After waiting for 20 minutes before I seen someone. A rude lady approached me. I said 'I've got a booking' she said ‘with a dog''did you tell us about the dog’ I said I booked online which states that it's pet friendly. She began complaining about Hotels.com and how they have nothing to do with her and how I shouldn’t use them. There was a family sat in there having food whilst she's making me and my dog feel like we have some kind of disease.

Saying 'have you brought his bed' 'have you brought his bowls' 'have you brought a mat for his bowls' 'I don't want him on any furniture' I felt so embarrassed by this point. She finally started walking me to the room saying I should have rang them. She said 'that's what everyone else does'

She then said to me 'we charge an extra £10 per night in cash for the dog'

Mark and Ruth were very welcoming and informative of the area. The Accommodation was a ground floor Chalet with good facilities. The venue also doubled up as a Tea Room with a good menu. Some rooms are in the main house. Good parking for guests and passing trade. As with the majority of Wales the Post Codes cover quite large areas but Ty Mawr is at a crossroads so is fairly easy to locate. Breakfasts are superb and Ruth pays attention to detail, catering for individual tastes. \"Poppy\" their Golden Labradour is very friendly.

Double room in annexe was generous size and well presented. Extras like toiletries not provided but towels and bedding ARE provided (Hotels.com please note as your info says otherwise!). Good breakfast with plenty of choice. No traffic noise at night. Owners, Ruth and Mark, are lovely hosts. We were sorry to leave.

Great location, Llanberis for Snowdon, Bethesda for Zip World, and Bangor all within 10 miles. The owners Ruth and Mark are very welcoming and happy to share tips of where to go and how to get there. Property is advertised as pet friendly but only the two en- suite rooms are designated for dogs. He room we stayed in was in the main house and was comfortable, if basic. A tv is in the room along with a hairdrier and tea/ coffee/ kettle. The bed was very soft and there was a wash basin in the room but the shower/ toilet is shared with two other rooms. As we visited at the end of the season and tourist numbers were low the restaurant was not open in the evening, but breakfast was excellent- a choice of cereal and fruit juice and a full cooked breakfast made fresh to order. I can definitely recommend this B&B and would certainly consider a return visit should we be in the area again.

Beautiful place although without a vehicle it was difficult to get anywhere for groceries or to a restaurant.. Catching a bus must be planned with the bus schedule where they come every hour or somtime 2 hours periods during day and none at night. Not to say anything against the beautiful and charming place. I just reccomend having a car when staying here.

A little gem. Fantastic place, quiet and relaxing. The owners are lovely and catered for all our needs, even recommending some places to visit. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The cooked breakfasts were excellent, very filling and fresh. Really enjoyed the toast too, the bread was fantastic.

A last minute booking to go and a good find. Ideal for Bangor University, only around 15 minutes away.
The rooms were nice and clean, the one I stayed in lacked a wardrobe which was not ideal for two adults but we were only there for one night so not that big an issue.

The accommodation was basic but had everything we needed for a few nights. The bed was comfortable enough with plenty of pillows and blankets and the en suite was clean with excellent shower pressure. My partner didn't like the lack of heat control in the room but I was happy with the heated underblanket. The TV was tiny but did the job at the end of long day exploring. Cooked breakfast was hot and hearty with a few cold options also available. Good coffee.

We arrived later then expected but was greeted in the car park with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. The room was beautifully decorated, very clean and had everything you could want. The bed was very comfortable, breakfast was lovely, good selection of cereal, fruit and yoghurts. The cooked breakfast was very tasty and filling. It’s in a beautiful location with views of Snowdon. The owners couldn’t do enough to help and make our stay enjoyable.

Good value for money, lovely cottage themed rooms which were really cosy! The staff made me feel really welcomed and accommodated to any of my needs. We stayed here one night as part of our tour around Wales. It is a convenient location not far from Cearnerfon and the mountain train. Although it is on a cross roads, that what it's name means in Welsh, it was quiet at night. The room was small but comfortable. The shared bathroom was a bit too small for my liking.

Visit was for the Snowdon 500 which my daughter and son in law were taking part. Hotel in lovely area about 10 mins by car out of Llanberis. Good room at the B and B in an annex and breakfast was superb as was the service. There was a bar in the hotel but only in use for diners in the daytime, as we had to drive to get anywhere, it would have been nice to have a drink at the end of the day, otherwise no complaints.
