Lovely room with sea view as advertised. Room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Staff extremely friendly and helpful in all areas of the hotel. Breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from. Coffee was good. We didn't make use of the bar or restaurant so can't comment. Excellent location for exploring and walking. Would definitely stay there again.

Booked the deluxe room £200 per night when we got there with my dog was told I couldn't use this room as it had been refurbished, so we were downgraded; the reception staff was very to the point saying 'ah hotels.com did you read the small print!!' although the Hotels.com site advertised as a dog friendly hotel it shouldn't have allowed me to book it; I had no option but to take the room as I had paid with no refund!!

I asked to use the spa which on Hotels.com it is advertised with spa! it had a beauty room not a spa!!

The carpets in the hotel where there from when it was built I think early 1900's; maybe in need of an upgrade & the bathrooms where poor - one night was enough.

We had a lovely stay with our 5 month old daughter and our dog. We enjoyed a great meal and breakfasts in the dog friendly dining room and our room was a comfortable base while we explored Beaumaris. We also had a lovely view of the sea from our window which was a nice bonus seeing as we were in a family room.
The only areas of improvement were that the shower was very unpredictable and would fluctuate from red hot to freezing every few minutes. As we were travelling with a baby and dog, a fridge in the room would have been useful. Also, there was, what we presumed to be, a door that slammed somewhere in the hotel periodically. This happened about 10 times over our 2 day stay and shook the room each time, often waking our baby. We were on the second floor so it must have been slamming with some considerable force and it did disturb the peace of our stay.

On the whole, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Excellent location overlooking the water. Booked 2 four poster sea view rooms. Both large with excellent views. Room decor dated, expecially bathroom in lower floor room very disappointing shower and was just bit shabby. Beds really comfy. Breakfast pretty poor selection, unless included in the room price would go to quay cafe next door. Hotel generally but shabby and cluttered needs complete update especially for price paid. Staff were all friendly and excellent.

This Hotel is in a Beautiful setting. Lovely shops close by, Castle,Easy Parking. The food was absolutely fantastic and plentiful lots of variety. The Cafe had a good Selection of cakes. Staff are Amazing, we were very well looked after.

Great hotel in the centre of Beaumaris

Great hotel, conveniently located in the centre of Beaumaris .
We stayed on a dinner, bed & breakfast package, which was good value for money.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was very nice - although the sash windows did rattle a little in the wind .
Would certainly recommend a stay here.

We had a superior room which had a great view but the room was dusty and dated. The whole hotel looked shabby and in dire need of updating. We were unable to park and had to find a car park, we ended up some distance away. The evening meal was excellent but the breakfast was not so good, with very poor sausages. We were not advised of the breakfast menu.

been offered a drink,and then we had to call the waiter over! we then had to wait a further 15 minutes until our meal eventually arrived...Nothing by way of compensation offered....very poor!!!

Beautiful and genuinely dog friendly hotel

The Bulkeley is such a lovely place to stay. Perfect location right on the sea with gorgeous views. The hotel was genuinely dog friendly and our dogs had a fantastic time. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We will be back for sure!

Once again we enjoyed the “old world” character of the Bulkeley Hotel (what my late mother would have described as “decayed elegance.”
This time we had a suite with magnificent views of the Straits and Snowdonia beyond
One niggle is the absence of a fish choice for breakfast - kippers, smoked haddock? The coastal location begs the need for such choices.

The hotel and room were adequate
The receptionist was applauding suggesting that I hadn’t checked my reservation and dog facilities.
She made NO effort to assist me in my request for a shower which is not in the bath.
I explained that I had injury sustained as a soldier serving. She said no shower had been requested, plainly NOT so.
But for the 6 hour drive home I would have left and driven.

Pleasant stay lovely staff

Had a lovely 1 night stay at this historic hotel. The interiors are dated but that is part of the charm. The staff were so helpful and friendly, we had an upgrade on our room because hotels.com had overbooked and the staff were very good about it. The room and bed were comfortable, but the kettle was a bit rubbish and not convenient to use (it was connected to the plug which was behind the television) The breakfast was pretty average, not the best but you had enough options. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend if you need somewhere in the area.

Location second to none. History of property and area.Food quality very good.nice to have bottled water supplied in room and nice toiletries.
Our room 120 looked out on to extractors; flat roof;ladder and was very dark,probably the worst room in the hotel.dirty glasses with lipstick on them in bedroom.All windows around hotel and room were grubby and may seem a small point but way have a van full of dry hotel rubbish parked in the car park constantly so that it’s the first thing you see from the restaurant!

Built for a visit by Queen Victoria the hotel is over 100 years old.Inevitably therefore one has to accept everything is slightly dated.The staff were charming.

A taste of the past subtly being updated. Plenty of seating areas to pause and take in the nostalgia within the hotel. Located right on on the sea front with viewing areas to sit and observe the passing masses. Not cheap but you get a bit of everything and a touch of class

A wonderful hotel

This is a lovely hotel. From the moment we arrived there staff were super friendly. The room (the Victoria Suite) was beautiful with stunning sea views. Super clean and well stocked. Breakfast and evening meals were very well prepared and huge portions!
I liked that dogs were allowed (Although we didn’t take ours). Beaumaris itself is a delight, probably more so with us being there out of season.

Nice hotel, friendly helpful staff, huge room with large comfortable bed. Modern bathroom with wet room area around shower. Excellent menu with discount for guests and their visitors automatically applied to whole bill. Excellent breakfast menu. Very reasonable room rates. Small hotel car park but lots of alternative parking close by. 24 hours only cost £6. Nice location with great views.

It was a dark cavernous mausoleum.
Our room overlooked the noisy service yard, complete with multiple dumpsters and bottle banks.
In short the entire place was depressing. We could not tolerate a second day, so we checked out earlier than expected.

The place is really tired and falling to bits in places, which is a shame as it could be lovely. Dirty and needs a huge update.
We booked online and saw dog friendly yet when we arrived were told no dogs in our room.. we then had to make alternative arrangements for our dog then they tried to charge us for a dog. No mention of this at booking either

The location is perfect and the sea view terrace is lovely. The building is very grand - grade one listed. The staff were friendly but on the one occasion I asked for my room to be cleaned the bathroom wasn’t re-supplied and the basin not cleaned. The windows in the bathroom were jammed shut - a fan was supplied, which only circulated the warm air in the room. Continental breakfast was ok and the service was good but the bacon was so tough it was inedible. The price was good value for the location.

We stayed for one night, it’s a beautiful Victorian building both inside & out but could do with a little update. The rooms were clean & comfortable but the back of the bathroom door & bath panel needed a repaint as paint was scratched & peeling off. Great choice of breakfast & cooked to order, car park is first come, first served but there is a large car park over the road so no issues there. Would stay there again & would try to get a sea view next time.

Stunning period building inside and out in a great picturesque location right on the front and also close to local shops with great walks on your doorstep.

Staff members are very friendly, courteous and professional throughout and go above and beyond to cater to your needs.

Food options are plenty and the breakfast was made to order with continental options also provided. Breakfast was very fresh and tasted great.

Nice little gift shop on site and the hotel is also dog friendly which was nice to see. Hotel provides a separate dining area for guests with pets.

Plenty of parking in the hotel but also plent opposite the hotel if the hotel car park gets full. I couldn't park in the hotel due to very late at night arrival, however, I had no issues parking and I was about 20ft away from the hotel car park.

Beds are really comfy and facilities offered in the room are in abundance.

The room did get a little warm in the evening but opening the window a little bit solved the issue. This did increase the chances of road noise, however, it didn't interfere with sleep.

Overall, great hotel and location and I would definitely consider staying again for a longer period.

This is an older Victorian property and kept in that period style so dark leather furniture and a reminder of times gone by. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings and a great location, some overlooking the water towards Wales mainland. The restaurant serves up some good food although I prefer crispy skin on the duck, also we found an extra side dish may be needed with some choices. The breakfast was cooked to order with plenty of choices and of a good standard. The car park is a bit of a lottery to get a space, but it sort of works and the hotel has a lift. The staff were very helpful and the DBB rate was quite good value, so happy overall.

The stay was lovely breakfast was great a lot of choice and all ways looked after before and making sure everything was ok
The hotel room was lovely but could do with little maintenance work mainly the bathroom
The shower head kept on falling and temperature not to good and than you have the little things like toilet seat catch replacing and the ceiling sprinkle could do with a brush to clear clogs of dust cause the overall stay and facilities was amazing there the price was great and staff was amazing
