The breakfast is like the best buffets in Las Vegas. Several choices and a wonderful espresso coffee machine. Breakfast employees are ever present, asking if one wants hot chocolate or coffee. Our room had a great view of the Ulm Minster. The rooms are large with a refrigerator and safe. The shower is high tech with push button and dial controls. Plus the water temperature is displayed. The Maritime Hotel Ulm is a first class facility with lots of high quality marble floors and columns and stained hardwood. Highly recommended!

I was very disappointed with the lack of service during my stay. When I arrived, I had a large amount of luggage to unload from my car, yet no staff member offered assistance. There were no concierge or bell staff visible, and I had to carry everything inside completely on my own. Even once in the lobby, no one helped me take the bags to my room. For a hotel of this category, this absence of basic guest support was unacceptable and left a negative impression of the property.

I am surprised that a relatively new multistory hotel would not have air conditioning and then be told not to open windows because of mosquitoes. We were told that there is air going through the building. There is also no complimentary tea or coffee.

The hotel is nice and great place to lodge. I was here for 4 nights with family. The environment is serene and close to public transport. The breakfast buffet options are nice and sumptuous. We felt the bed was a bit small for two people to sleep in, also the pillow not too comfortable.

Find it so strange, that after many years staying in the Maritim Ulm, also with many UK BUSINESS COLLEAGUES, the ONLY English speaking TV programmes are CNN and SKY International. BBC News(is displayed as an option but not connected. I was placed on the first floor with the view of a grey adjacent building on a 4 day visit as a tourist. As a frequent visitor to Ulm, shall probably use a more individual friendly, and nearer the town centre hotel.

Great business stay in Ulm

Every 3-4 month I am for business in Ulm. After some other trials I came across with the Maritime Hotel. So far I had some lovely stays in that Hotel. Rooms are well equipped and clean. The Hotel is well located in Ulm. Close to the city center and a wonderful view on the Danube river or the Ulmer Münster. The Hotel is offering one of the best breakfast I ever got in Germany.

A lovey stay in a very spacious room suitable for family. The rooms were very clean. The staff were efficient and check in was fast.
You needed to pay an extra daily fee for the gym and for parking.
Great location to walk into the city of Ulm and enjoy the sight of the Danube.

Overall the rooms are okay and I liked the location. But management of the hotel seems cheap and it was not a good experience because basic items were not available in all rooms. I booked a standard room and didn’t realize I wouldn’t have a coffee maker in the room because those are reserved for superior rooms (this was not advertised on the site). The hotel also charges €5 a day if you want to use the gym. Rooms are advertised as having AC but the AC does not work to actually cool the room. I expected better customer service and a more enjoyable experience from a four star hotel.

Lovely hotel! Buffet breakfast was great and parking really convenient. Spacious room with great views. Beds were quite firm but ok found the feather pillows were a bit too flat for me. Great idea to receive a little treat if you opt not to have your room cleaned. Lovely clean pool area with plenty of towels. Felt cool at 26 degrees but fine once you were in ☺️ would definitely stay here again!

Terrible service we ever had. Room is okay, bed not comfortable, pillows are small, conditioner not working properly. Upon arrival we get 2 small bottles of water for 2 person for 2 days, it was nothing in the room, no coffee or tea. I ask on reception next day and they said we can buy another bottle of water for €4.00. I also ask for hot water and I was sent to the bar. In the room was just 1 small soap bar, no shampoo or anything else. I was told that they probably forgot, but nobody brings it. Room was not cleaned at all on the second day. Stuff was not polite. Some of them even rude.

Nice hotel, however I paid for a two queen bed room. Upon arrival i was informed the terms and conditions had changed at that the company. Hotels.com were advised of this change. This was not conveyed to me. The room had a sofa bed and 1 queen bed. Not what I had paid for and requested. I felt the service was poor both from Hotels.com and the hotel with me in the middle. The room was not cleaned as they did not have the staff to clean it. Offered a free drink instead of cleanliness? It is a good thing we have not just come out of a pandemic.

We loved everything about this hotel. Visited in August 2022 with my son, husband and parents. The hotel is very nicely decorated and has a beautiful pool and spa area that is kid friendly. The hotel is near the river with a walking and biking path that leads to many places to eat and shop. If I am lucky enough to go back to Ulm, I will stay at this place again.

It was close to the river walk leading to all kinds of restaurants and the shopping district. It has a pool which was great for our kids, although I don't think the other hotel guests were happy that children might want to swim. We weren't aware \"pool shoes\" were mandatory since there wasn't a staff member present upon entering the pool area. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel was conscientious about its impact on the environment and offered options to lower one's traveling carbon footprint while staying at the hotel.

Reasonable priced parking attached to the hotel. Right on the outskirts of old town, about a 10-15 min walk to the center of town. Nice pool area, huge breakfast area with a good selection of food items, not just meat/cheese/bread as typical. Staff were friendly and most spoke English, which is helpful. Comfortable bed, good bathroom. 3 large elevators meant no long wait times, which is a nice plus.

My room was far too hot, I could not get it below 23 degrees even at night as the window opens only slightly and there was no wind. The air conditioning was only heating, so it is only suitable at night if you like sleeping very hot like Europeans seem ok with, Americans used to air conditioned comfort will struggle. Was at least offered a fan but it made little difference. There was no kettle or cups offered in the for a four star few amenity fitted rooms, minibar empty but you can buy items for sale downstairs. Not good service and restaurant was closed, almost 2 years into the pandemic it felt very disappointing not even a paper cup to drink with in the room. Unhappy when paying for 4 star but you are offered so few comforts or amenities. Furniture now very dated with few plug sockets, guestroom had a private bathroom but otherwise was little different to a two star for amenities.

Chose this because there was a great rate for a weekend. Stayed with this brand in Dresden too.
Large rooms, cool modern shower, nice view on 15th floor. Would have loved to see everything in operation before COVID-19. Ordered from the dining room to eat, they forgot 1 item out of only 2! Burger has too much and too many sauses on it!
Will use this brand again, for a fair price.

The hotel from outside looks new and modern from inside classic and “old luxury”

There is parking lot in the hotel it cost 15€ a night.

Nice hotel situated on the riverside promenade. It is a pleasant 15 min walk into the old town. Great underground car park with plenty of spaces and lift connecting directly to hotel , this costs 15 euros per day. The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. The hotel bar was closed but the cafe Einstein across the road is excellent with spacious patio area , good food and drink at reasonable prices.if you dont want to walk into town, then bar 58 is on riverside about 5 mins walk in opposite direction from town.

I would give this property a higher rating for the very polite staff but our room, towels and bedding reeked of cigarette smoke and we were told we were not eligible to change rooms without incurring additional fees. We actually slept with a window open. For non smokers it was not enjoyable.

Hotel is quite good, amenities are really ok. Cleaning, decoration, comfort, space, quality of sleeping above average.

My problem with the place is the traffic to get to the elevator. As they manage a large number of rooms and events, elevator structure are not adequate. If you get a room in middle floor, you might wait 10-15 min for the elevator (depending on the day).

This is a great hotel if you are visiting Ulm. I was very surprised at how nice and comfortable it was for the price. We had a great time exploring the city and visiting family. We enjoyed the Piano Bar, and the spacious room. I will say the AC was not very strong but overall the rooms are clean, well maintained and spacious. The shower was great offering a waterfall option. Will be back next year for sure!
