My first room the AC didn’t work and it was very hot. To their credit they moved me to another room on the top floor. It was so noisy from a rattling vibrating fan or pump going off literally every two minutes I had to wear noise cancelling headphones to sleep

The staff at the Golden Tulip Parkhotel Neu-Ulm are really friendly and helpful and should be commended for this.

I requested a non-smoking room, just to be put into a smoking room! They did change it for me.

The passages in the hotel have a stale smoke smell, which is really not nice and quite disgusting.

The wifi was not working and the reason given \"it is because we are fully booked\". You would think that in the day and age we live in, this should not be an excuse or an issue.

The room did not have any (or at least very little in the, what used to be, mini bar) packing space. There is one drawer which is occupied by extra linen. There is ample hanging space.

The breakfast is good with a nice variety.

Great hotel in a prime location by the river and only a few minutes walk into Ulm or Neu-Ulm. Unfortunately the bar is no longer open but it is possible to sit in the restaurant and take a drink which is a nice view and friendly staff.

Nice but could use a refresh

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was fine but it seems like it needs a refresh or an update. There was no air conditioning and the window in my room did not stay open on it's own. The rooms on the street side of the hotel face the theater marque which is lit until very late, making it hard to sleep.

Really disappointed with our stay. Have stayed at other Golden Tulip hotels and been very happy but this one falls well below expectations. We had to wait a long time at check in which can happen, however, the staff on duty did not acknowledge our presence. The welcome non existent. We asked for directions into town, asking if we could go via the park, were told the park was shut . It was impossible to get any directions. Room was clean but no air conditioning, also disturbed by constant drone sound outside. Parking at 10 euros seemed excessive. When we checked out we were not asked about our stay.

The minibar fridge in my room did not work, and rather than simply swap it out, I had to change rooms. Apparently the guy who is qualified to swap fridges does not work on Saturdays.

Good location but no aircon

The hotel is situated on the other side of the river from Ulm but is easily accessible via a bridge just along the river bank from the hotel, nice setting and in a quiet area. We arrived before the scheduled check-in time and our room wasn't ready but the staff were helpful and gave us a map and directions to see the town.
The hotel advertises air conditioning for the better rooms but this turned out to be a large very noisy fan in the corner of the room

This is not a 4 star hotel.

Rude and lazy reception. No concierge to bring bag to room. The \"restaurant\" Edwin's is a lesson to all English guest that if you are not fluent in German you will not be served well or attended well. batteries in TV remote dead. no WiFi codes given at reception although you need them. plus side is the bar was well stocked with whiskey. business users should avoid and try Maritim instead. I wish I had.

The main issues were the linen, both of us in our travel group got constant rashes and itches from the bed linen.

Good But Room For Imrpvoement in Services

The main complaint was that there were no tea/coffee facilites in the room and it was not available in the hotel liunge. The bar only opened in the evening and the restaruant, that did serve coffee, was not in the most convenient of locations, although the outlook over the river was excellent.
The FREE WiFi was very restrictive although a premium service was available at a cost. I resorted to my own wifi connection via mobile phone which was better. It was only an overnight stop en route from Munich to London so not a problem but I would not recommend for serious business travellor.
The hotel is very convenient to tourist parts of Ulm.

Decent and clean but not a 4-star property

The hotel is nicely situated on the banks of the Danube and is only a 10-minute walk to the old town of Ulm. While the rooms are clean and the overall experience is decent, the property is outdated and does not offer the amenities that you would expect from a 4-star hotel. We have stayed at nicer properties for the same price with parking and breakfast included, whereas here these were all extra charges. Ask for a room with river views!

Nice and affordable in mid town

the Golden Tulip is my preferred stay when I'm visiting Ulm. It's just minutes of walk away from the famous Münster. It has underground parking (€ 10/day) and is located right at the banks of the danube river. I've been there for the third time an will return.

A lovely, modern hotel situated just few meters from the Donau River that splits the town into Neu-Ulm and Ulm (new and old towns). Great location, wonderful service, spacious self-parking, big & cosy (newly refurbished?) rooms, very good WiFi - my stay couldn't be better! Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to others!

The was nothing wrong with the hotel but the interior design of the rooms really needs to updated. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but again just dated. The location on the other hand is excellent. It is right on the river across from the city center and the main hub. Excellent views right from your window. There is also a high end resturant on site, and lots of parking, rare here. If only they would renovate the hotel...

This is an average hotel in a great location. Ulm is a nice little town for a stopover - make sure to climb the church steeple for amazing views! But this hotel could benefit from an update, and the lack of A/C really hurt as we were there during a heat wave. Also, budget 10 Euro per night for parking if you are driving.

Nice hotel in the centre of Neu-Ulm directly at Danube. Access to all downtown sights. Less than 15 min walk to the world famous Münster. Underground parking available. Nice full breakfast with view of the river. Highly recommend.

Perfect, except the WiFi

Great service. Great English. Great location. Great breakfast. Only problem? The included WiFi didn't work in the room or the restaurants, and only worked about half the time from the lobby. Our room was as close to the lobby as you can get, but there just wasn't enough signal. The location was just a few blocks from the train station, and there was plenty of shops and restaurants close. The bus to Ludwig's castle was short, just a couple stops.

Great Location

The staff did everything in their power to make our stay wonderful. The hotel restaurant is above excellent and the maitre d was par excellance! The location on the river is idyllic during the daytime and the location is better than one could expect for access to all the touristy spots. However, at night, the local youngsters use the area for their partying that continues until the wee hours making sleep nearly impossible.

Kein Mövenpick mehr, aber trotzdem super

Als ich klein war, wollte ich immer mal ins Mövenpick. Leider habe ich das um ein Jahrzehnt oder mehr verpasst. Das PLAZA ist aber auch ganz nett gewesen. Für rund 80€ pro Nacht im EZ gab es ein großes Zimmer, zwei Flaschen Wasser, einen Wasserkocher, jede Menge Handtücher, zwei Kopfkissen usw. Da kann man echt nicht meckern. Die Lage ist ideal, man ist sehr schnell zu Fuß in der Innenstadt von Ulm oder Neu-Ulm. Das Frühstück sah umfangreich aus, war bei mir aber nicht dabei. Das Personal war super freundlich. Im Sommer habe ich eine Klimaanlage vermisst. Ich würde trotzdem jederzeit wieder hin, auch wenn es kein Luxushotel mehr ist.

Otrevligt bemötande när vi försökte checka in. Kunde inte ställa våra väskor någonstans tills incheckningstiden. Rummet var okey med skön säng. Frukosten var okey med bra urval. Vi ville köpa beställa från baren men där serverades bara vin och öl sa samma otrevliga man vid incheckningen. Bemötandet drar ner vår vistelse så jag vill inte rekommendera detta Hotel.

Wird dem Premium im Namen leider nicht gerecht.

Am bislang heißesten Tag des Jahres eröffnete man mir beim CheckIn auf Frage nach der Klimatisierung, dass diese seit Wochen nicht funktioniert. Für mich vollkommen unfassbar, warum man diesen Defekt nicht behebt. Mich erwartete ein stark aufgeheiztes Zimmer mit Abendsonne. Nicht einmal die Vorhänge waren zugezogen zum Wärmeschutz. Es standen lediglich dicke Decken zur Verfügung.
Vor meinem Fenster war ein Fahnenmast des Hoteleingangs. Durch die zwangsweise notwendige durchgehende Lüftung wurde ich nachts von durchgehend klappernden Drahtseilen am Fahnenmast wachgehalten.
Ich habe daher eine der unangenehmsten Nächte seit Langem erleben müssen.
Das Personal hat netterweise die Parkkosten erlassen, mich aber darauf hingewiesen, dass ja auch online gar keine Klimatisierung mehr angegeben sei. Ich reise seit Jahren viel, auf den Eintrag Klimaanlage habe ich jedoch tatsächlich noch nie geachtet. Diese setzte ich bisher bei Häusern dieser Kategorie voraus... Man lernt nie aus. Wohlgemerkt ist ja auch eine Klimaanlage vorhanden, sie wird einfach nicht repariert.

Tolle Lage, toller Service, unser Hund war ebenfalls sehr willkommen. Einziges Manko war die fehlende Klimaanlage. Es gab zwar eigenen Ventilator, was aber leider nicht wirklich ausreichend war.

Zimmer sauber, aber sehr dunkel eingerichtet. Toilette dringend reinigungsbedürftig.
Restaurant auf Umwegen zu erreichen, Frühstück ausreichend, aber laute Diskussionen des dortigen Personals untereinander sehr störend.

Hotellet har en god beliggenhed med udsigt over Donau og over Ulm´s gamle bydel. Værelset (executive) var godt og rummeligt.
Svimming poolen var desværre lukket og anvendes nu til depot.
Maden i Restauranten var ikke noget at råbe hurra om. Det virkede som om kokken var sjusket. Vi bestilte en traditionel Wiener snitzel af kalv - vi var jo i Tyskland. Den vat stegt /kogt for hårdt, kunne næsten ikke skæres over og var grå og kedelig. Vi klagede til tjeneren og fik nye portioner, nu var snitzlen med dårligsmag (måske ligget for længe ude) og helt bløde pommes fritter. Vi spiste heller ikke dette, og måtte betale fuld pris alligevel ! Så bo på hotellet, og spis i Gammel Ulms mange gode restauranter i den hyggelige bydel, kun 10 minutters gang fra hotellet..
