The hotel was very nice. The room was quite nice but there was no outlet in the bathroom and very few overall.
The breakfast was the usual - meats, cheese, cereals, cakes, eggs, potatoes. However the eggs and potatoes were not kept warm enough.

Not sure this would be considered a four star in other countries. The room felt basic/outdated and there was no coffee machine/tea kettle. That being said the breakfast was excellent and the location right by the main gate of the old town is ideal.

Great location in center of old town, modernized historic hotel. First night our AC was making lots of noise and we complained and immediately got moved to an upgraded nicer room. Hotel is not easy to access, requires walking from main road through city gates into city, cars not allowed so keep in mind if you have lots of luggage. Excellent buffett breakfast and 24/7 coffee and tea. Nearest parking is cruise port which is across road and costs about $20euros a day. Tons of restaurants and shopping as soon as you walk out of hotel

The hotel was in a great location, the room was excellent in terms of features and design. The attached restaurant was good value with delicious food. The staff were attentive, friendly and accommodating.
The only complaint that we would have was the lack of accessible parking, but this is an issue with Kotor as a whole due to it's historic features.

Best Stay in Montenegro
With out a doubt this was our best stay in Montenegro. Staff were so polite, check in and check out was so easy. We had a Jr Suite 110 on 1st floor, so relaxing and view right out to main square. Very quiet at the night and if you wanted quiet during the day just keep windows closed. The breakfast was full and so many choices. Loved this hotel.

Hotel is centrally located. In the old town a minute walk from the entrance. Does not offer Parking nor has any preferential rate with any Parkings. Parking cost is 20 euros for 24hrs. The hotel breakfast is poor compared to other hotels and breakfast buffet is served in a small back room as if one is hiding although the hotel has a big cafe in the front. Very disappointing since breakfast buffet can be in the main restaurant. Rooms are Ok not much light. Room lacks tissue box and coffee machine

Located in the old town .our junior suite room was perfect and quiet at night . Very comfortable bed and good quality furnishings. Very friendly and helpful staff. Found out after we left we were charged for breakfast . Which was meant to be included The breakfast was was cold .The waiter answer was to turn up the hotplate backup . Not healthy .No cups had to ask . In fact he only appeared once while we were there .So second day we went out .Hopefully this was just a bad . Still we loved our stay

The breakfast and location were amazing. They should provide a manual on how to operate the A/C. The overhead shower and one of the power outlets appeared to not function properly, but that didn’t really affect the convenience of stay. Vardar seems to be one of the most solid traditional options for those who want to stay in the very center of Kotor. Standards and levels of comfort are relatively high, however some refurbishing is advised. The staff was not particularly friendly nor relaxed. We slept in a ‘suite’ which not such, but rather a pretty big regular room.

Kotor Perfection!
The hotel is in the perfect location to explore Kotor. We arrived very late due to border crossing delays, but the woman at reception was very accommodating and quickly checked us in and directed us to get a quick bite to eat. The room was very large, clean, and comfortable! And the bathroom was huge- double sinks, separate toilet, and Etro toiletries. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful with fresh berries, eggs, cheese, meats, cereal, and some sweets. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kotor!!

An absolute winner as a three star property. The staff are incredibly friendly and help with everything. While there is no fridge in the room they don’t mind if you use theirs. A beautiful view of Mostar bridge on balcony. I’d stay again.

Hotel Vardar is located in the heart of the Old Town, very easy to find and perfect for visitors wishing to explore the town. My booking included car parking however upon check in, the receptionist refused to believe this, despite me having email confirmation of this. I had to contact Hotels.com to rectify this, which wasn't the best start to our break.
We enjoyed the rest of our stay however, and would recommend the hotel to others.

Wonderful hotel, great location right inside the walls of Kotor by the front gate. Our room was really great....large, comfortable, clean and had a great view. Staff was helpful, spoke English, and very accommodating and responsive! Extra bonus...parking just outside the wall in a manned parking lot. We will stay there again on our next visit to Kotor....our favorite place in Montenegro!

Don't be fooled by those small, cute boutique hotels, Vardar is the modernized old school, high ceilings, large rooms type of hotel. Staff very friendly. Amenities very good for the size of the building. Excellent stay, highly recommend.

It is a very nice hotel in an excellent location in the old town of Kotor. Nice large room with a very nice and large bathroom. Lots of restaurants very nearby and short distance to all major attractions in Kotor.
However, two downside issues. The hotel is inside the walled town so no car access. Guests have to carry their lauggage for quite a distance. The other issue was a nearby bar or disco that played very load music and we could not get any sleep until 2 AM. Unless they take care of the noise I wouldn't stay there again. I believe the noise issue is common to all hotels in that area.

We loved staying at Hotel Vardar. The location was amazing- centrally located in Old Town. The room was clean and comfortable. There was some city noise heard from our room, but that was expected due to the location. The breakfast buffet was great. We would definitely stay here again.

The room was lovely and spotless, the bed was huge and comfortable, I fell in love with the shower. This place was some very welcome luxury at the end of a couple of weeks' backpacking! We booked very late and didn't get a great view, but the hotel's location couldn't be better - right in the middle of the old town. The staff were extremely helpful and were able to arrange an airport transfer and a day's car hire with no fuss at all. Much appreciated!

Ok central location, which is good or bad depending on your outlook. Paid for junior suite which was just a large room with 2 chairs. Carpet was disgusting, looks like someone vomited. Toilet was soiled and cleaned it myself rather than explain to the receptionist who did not have good English. Breakfast ok, coffee cold

The hotel is located just at the entrance of the Old City from the main gate (which I quite liked). But as cars can't come in, you need to take your luggage yourself. The hotel has a lift so thats not an issue. The rooms are comfortable and bathrooms big but given the location, it can get a little noisy at night if its one of the special celebration night or parties happening around. Again, it wasn't too much but we are not the sleep-in-dead-silence kind. The only issue was the breakfast which was very average and the staff at the breakfast seemed to be mostly missing.

Amazing setting, within old city walls
Fantastic location, helpful staff and owners, were genuinely pleased that we chose them and didn't come via a cruise ship! This place is simply amazing, the old city is beautiful and very safe, you need to stay within the walls to really appreciate it. Kotor is set within the inner most corner of a triple inlet, so has deep sea water but feels more like you're staying on the edge of a tranquil lake. It's bizarre to wake up and see a giant cruise ship moored up that dwarfs the city, but generally the ships clear out mid afternoon then you have the place to your self.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. On a Friday night, there is loud music being played outside the hotel and due to the noise, we were able to move rooms to a quieter room and they gave us a discount on our stay because of the noise. Location of car park for free parking is past Citadel (being on your right and bay left) over bridge, first right & directly ahead to car park, which has dedicated spaces for Hotel Vardar. Excellent location & very well run Hotel with friendly service. Kotor is beautiful - tour Old Town, go up to Fortress (a long hard trek) & go to Galion restaurant with 10% discount if you stay at the Vardar. Thoroughly recommended.

Plan on two days and stay four.
we arrived a day late for our reservation but it was honored with no problem. Our room was a bit dark as we were on the alley but quieter than a front facing room. The staff was quick to learn our individual likes for breakfast and were very accommodating during the day. We kept saying that we should try other restaurants for lunch or dinner but having a few mediocre meals elsewhere we very happily returned for most meals to the outside dining area enjoying watching the people.

Special hotel in special town
Kotor is a very cute place and this hotel is well placed in old town, not far from main entrance, free parking available some 500 m away (prepare to have to bring cases on foot!). The gym is great, you can reserve it for yourself. Also, we were treated to two rooms for the price of one when we thought the bed was too small for a non-couple. Breakfast is not the best, but still OK. Staff is very friendly, we'll be back!

Hotel Vardar is located just inside the old city walls (be advised that while they offer free parking, you have to get instructions from the front desk. The lot is just outside the old city walls and across the canal). They staff were very friendly and helpful and the associated restaurant (not the one in the hotel) Galion was the best meal we ate on our trip. Get the mussels you want regret it! Included continental breakfast was a tad disappointing but there was enough variety that I can't really complain. Our room was spectacular with a view right onto the old city square/main gate. We were on the top floor so noise was never an issue. Bathrooms and finishings were very comfortable.

Room very comfortable, good quality linen and towels, very efficient shower. But problems with locking/unlocking the room door, card did not work very well.
Quite a lot of noise from the surrounding environment, the hotel is in the busiest part of town, poor sleepers may need earplugs.
Breakfast disappointing, not cooked well, stale rolls, no decent bread, and the same buffet represented in decreasing portions throughout the week.

Room smelled like sewage in bathroom
Great location, modern facilities. Yet the hotel bathroom smelled horrible, like sewage. Everything worked well but the smell great detracted from the comfort of the room.

The hotel is relatively pricey, but is in a great location and is very nice.
My wife and I stayed here after a week or so of hopping from sobe to sobe around Croatia (small privately owed apartments) - it was definitely a nice change having a reliable concierge desk, a great room/bathroom and a safe. The Vardar staff was friendly and spoke English well - they also offered to make reservations at their partner restaurant (The Galion), which was very good (and they gave us a free bottle of wine! But it was Montenegrin and not great - insider's tip: mix it with soda water).
Their brochure advertises that they have a cigar lounge, which they do not - thought it was kind of funny they would advertise they had something that they didn't. And to call the tiny room on the top floor a \"Spa and Wellness Center\" is a stretch. Those were my only small conerns. I would definitely recommend for anyone who is willing to fork over a little extra money for the extra comfort.

Hotel Vardar is in the heart of Kotor
A very nice place to stay in the centar of Kotor. The city is impressing and has its place on the World Heritage list. The mountains surrounding the city sets the scene for a pittoresque view. And the hotel Vardar is there, right in the eye. Good standard of rooms, internet (cable) working well, breakfast to order and a cosy cafe in front of the hotel at the plaza just inside the old city walls. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly. Hotel parking is a 5+ min walk away.

Gorgeous hotel, amazing location
We were two couples who stayed here and one room had an amazing view up the mountain of the old walls. Breakfast was good, staff were LOVELY, and it is smack bang in the old town-couldn't get more central!
No wifi in the rooms if that is relevant to anyone. Parking ourside the old town a 10 min walk away-easy and free.
Fitness room and sauna is great however if your looking for the Turkish hamam it doesn't exist yet.
Bathrooms are lush. Would highly recommend.

Great hotel
I really enjoyed my stay at this wonderful hotel. The hotel is centrally located in the heart of Kotor. The hotel provides free parking just outside of the city walls. The breakfast buffet is very good. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious even by American standards. The toiletries provided are of high quality. I loved the massive shower head in the bathroom. I was not bothered by the outside noise as some reviewers have complained but maybe because some of the clubs stopped operating in September. Walking through the square at 11pm at night, I did not hear any music blaring from the cafes and bars. I recommend eating dinner at Cesarica, (close to Hotel Marja in the Old Town). We ate there the first night and it was very good and cheap. The second night we ate at Galion which the hotel recommended and it seems that the hotel also owns it. I think the food was only ok. It does have a nice view of the old city but the food was nothing to write home about it. I thought my squid ink risotto was bland and my friend’s grilled squid was also bland. The grilled squid at Cesarica was much better.

Perfect location in the heart of the Old Town. The rooms are relatively large and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. My visit was during a weekend in August so the town was very busy therefore as expected, there was some noise from music being played until late at night. Overall a pleasant stay.

Excellent location, kinda pricey
This hotel is newly refurbished. The location is perfect. The room was spacious with huge bed and very nice bathroom/shower. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast, with two eggs any style individually prepared. Wifi access only in the lobby / bar area. If you go to Kotor, stay in the old town area. Vardar is one of 2 or 3 upmarket hotels in the area, and I bet Vardar is the best for location and newness of things.

現代の海外旅行では、充電はパスポートの次に大事です。FLix等のチケットも、今は売り場では購入出来ず、ネットでしか予約出来ない時代です。それ位スマホやWi-Fiの充電は欠かせないのに、たったひとつきりでした。
フロントの女性…居丈高で高圧的でした。
極力質問されない様に(面倒なので)短時間で済ませようとしているのがわかりました。
ただでさえ暗い部屋のランプの一つが切れていて、直して欲しいと頼んだら、メンテナンスは明日の朝来るので、それまで待って欲しいと言われましたが、結局チェックアウト迄誰も来ませんでした。
2泊しましたが、ベッドメイクはなく(1人でもダブルルームなので)2枚目のタオルを使いました。部屋全体がカビ臭くて埃っぽいです。
