The front desk person was just hired and didn't know anything. I asked for an extra blanket and he said he didn't know where the laundry room was. I asked for help with the tv and he didnt know how to use it. I asked if I could have a room on the second floor and he said he couldnt do that. Not helpful or accommodating.

We stayed in a double queen. The room was run down and need of a big splash of sunshine. The tub was new and so slippery you braced you arms on the walls to avoid slipping. The ac unit was damaged but we were between seasons and didn't need it. Room 208.

One of the hotel staffs was rude and not courteous at all. Bathroom sink and toilet was clogged and when asked to fix it, he made us wait and was very unresponsive. The maintenance staff came an hour later than what was told. We were not even given a spare bathroom to freshen up when asked for it. He blamed it on us for clogging the bathroom. Definitely not worth your money!! There are better hotels around this area.

The property is a bit old, but comfortable. The room is quite large. There is no in-room coffee, nor included breakfast, and on our post-Labor Day stay, the town was asleep at 6:30 a.m., and only a few places were open by 7, so that's a concern if the hotel doesn't include breakfast and you're trying to get a jump on the crowds to the park gate (there was almost no line at 7:45 anyhow mid-September). Overall, I might look to find a property with breakfast rather than stay here again, but it certainly was worth a repeat if breakfast isn't a concern.

The property is close to the entrance of the national park but the property needs to do a better job of keeping up the condition. It is in need of many repairs. Also the front desk staff was rude and unhelpful. I cannot recommend this motel to others.

Tv was a streaming service that buffered ALL the time. Very slow internet. Wi-Fi was also slow. Distance to carry personal item from parking to room was ridiculous. We had to enter in the opposite corner of the facility and walk up 2 sets of stairs and around to other corridors to get to our room

This is probably the worst place Ive stayed in. They charged 290 per night which is high. I chose this by Expedia ratings. The carpet was filthy, the sheets were dubious, the walls paper thin so I could hear the next room occupant showering and traffic on the road. I blame expedia for putting such hotels on their website.

This hotel is very dated and could use an update. Our carpet in our room was stained and the mattress was the most uncomfortable one I've slept on in a hotel room. Thankfully, my brother and I were only here for about 14 hours.

The only bright spots were the receptionist who checked us in was extremely helpful in getting a room mixup fixed and recommending a great place for dinner. Also, it's very close to the shopping area, which is walkable.

Although this property was close to the west entrance of Yellowstone & within walking distance to the main streets with shopping, restaurants, etc. it was old & overpriced for what they offered. Ice machine was not working. Check-in area did not open until 7 so couldn't get coffee & no coffee maker in rooms. Water pressure also very poor.

The KEY (yes, an actual metal key) given for room did not work well. Had to return to front desk for replacement. The door to the room was wood and was cracked. There was no way to turn the shower head on. The beds are on wood frames and when trying to access the electric receptacle the mattress fell off. We are senior citizens and were given a room on second floor in another building. Had to lug suitcases up 14 stairs.

Great place to stay if you are visiting Yellowstone. Hotel is located 5 min from the West entrance and 3 min from the Visitor Center. We stayed 1 night only, arrived almost 10pm and left at 5am for Lamar Valley. Check in was fast and easy.

I did not have high expirations for this motel. It was inexpensive for the area and we just needed a clean place to sleep and shower. The shower did not have hot water. We selected a room with 2 queen beds and had 2 full beds. The mattresses were old and incomparable. When two people were on the bed the mattress would sink in the middle. I would definitely not stay there again.

The walls were tissue paper thin. Two nights in a row I heard to someone next door snoring, the people on the other side listend to TV or spoke loudly late into the night and resumed early in the moning. I heard the people upstairs walking above me. The last night I was there a tourist group sat outside their rooms and talked loudly amongst themselves until late at night. While I swouldn't call the facility dirty, it is not a level of cleanliness I expect from a place that houses many people from around the world on a daily basis.

I loved the fact that it was in walking distance to the town and only 3 blocks from the West Entrance of Yellowstone. I didnt like the carpet was dingy and very stained like it had never been deep cleaned before. The shower head was loose and was really hard to adjust. There was no microwave in the room and parking is first come first serve so if you plan on spending alot of time away from the hotel expect to have to park in the back ally behind the motel. The beds were well used and mattresses where broke in. The maid did a great job cleaning during our stay.

The service desk should be closed at 11pm but the front desk girl pour out all the hot water around 10:30pm already. I understand she wants to leave on time, but it still has 30 mins service. She started the cleaning early and said no when someone asked for the water.

Helpful staff at 1st night

Late checked in and the guy at the front desk was very helpful. We spent some time at the common area and we didn’t know it should be closed at 11pm. The guy didn’t rush us leave and he even started the cleaning close to 11. He helped other as well even it was already 11pm. He also recommended some restaurants to visit. We had a great time for the first night (total 2 nights) at Yellowstone Country Inn.

Day I arrived, had to wait 5 to 10 min. while employee
(house keeper) and the desk clerk to stop talking in Spanish, and laughing before I got service.
Found out later why all but the desk clerks just looks at you smiles and nod there heads, they can't speak English.
TV. the cable didn't work. so no TV with 5 kids (right)
Ice machine never worked.
One day house keeping didn't even remove the trash I took it out.
To many rooms for for what little parking you have. another word first come first serve you might get in front of your room.
Plumbing needs a lot of work. both rooms we rented had issues. floor was uneven bathroom door sticks to floor. beds actually comfortable for being swayback.

If you asked me, I would say. In my opinion the best thing they could do with that place is burn it down and start over.

I'm sorry, but I will never recommend this place.

I waited too long to book my stay and was limited on my choices, and went with this location because of recent good reviews.

Not sure how those good reviews happened. Or maybe we just had the really bad room.

The shower has mold. The paint is peeling. Not quite sure the locked door wouldn't push open with a good shove. No one wanted to touch the carpet. I doubt its been cleaned in months and months...maybe even years. It took forever to get hot water and then it didnt last long.

The parking area is not sufficient for the number of rooms. If you arrive later than most, you'll end up parking behind the building in an unsecured lot.

If you decide to stay here, just think of it like camping...but with a bed and a flush toilet.

Oh... and we're wondering if the bites we all have might be bed bugs???

For the price we paid, we expected a little more amenities, like a small table or shelf in bathroom for our personal items while showering or getting ready for bed.
