Had a brilliant stay here with my son. It was super central, the bed was very comfy and room was very clean! All you need when you’re on a sightseeing holiday. Breakfast at the hotel was great value for money too- continental plus cooked breakfast if desired, all for £12.50 . The staff were always friendly and accommodating- the receptionist was lovely giving us recommendations for food etc x

This was our 2nd stay here & will be staying again. Easy booking in very friendly staff rooms have everything you need with plenty of replenishments example tea coffee biscuits left for you. Hotel was lovely & cozy excellent & plentiful breakfast cooked to order as well as fresh fruit bakery & cereals etc. There is a gated car park at the back so car left there is very safe. Only criticism was the bathroom mirror was too small & very high for me so couldn’t see in it but there were others in the room so not a big problem. Easy walking distance to city centre takes about 10 minutes. Stay here you won’t be disappointed. Lovey hotel & staff. Thank you York minster for a lovely stay.

We had an enjoyable overnight stay at the Minster Hotel. We'd been given a room upgrade and it was lovely and clean and spacious. Everything you needed with tea and coffee and biscuits supplied. Bathroom was spotless. The bed was so comfortable and had one of the best sleeps ever. Staff very welcoming , polite friendly and extremely helpful. On departure,staff let us leave our luggage for a few hours to enable us to enjoy some time in the beautiful city centre and the Xmas markets. Will definitely be returning here.

The receptionists were friendly and polite. We were able to drop our bag off prior to checking in which was great and they even put the bag in our room ready for us. We were also offered to leave it at check out which was nice. The room was newly refurbished with plenty of space and 2 chairs to sit on so we didn’t have to lounge on the bed which we appreciated. Breakfast was busy but there was plenty of cold buffet choices along with an order taken for hot food and all staff were pleasant. We would definitely stay again.

Parking was easy but should be made clear on the hotels.com sote that it isan additional cost when not booking direct though the hotel. Documents given to customers state parking is free but had been charged 10gbp per day at check-in as not a direct booking with the hotel.

Stayed for two nights and staff changed my room before arrival when they heard I’d had hip replacement.Parking was in a gated area and was very secure. Great location for our visit to York. So convenient for travel with the train nearby and a short walk into the historic area. Morning breakfast was average fair served by attentive, kind staff. It was a great way to start the day.
Staff was consistently polite and welcoming each and every time we left and arrived (we stayed for six days). Our room was unfortunately right above the carriage entrance of this older property, so noise was an issue from late night revelers but also other guests who passed by at all hours talking and laughing loudly. That may have just been for our room, but it was an issue.

Only a few minutes walk from York Minster and the town centre but on a busy road with significant traffic noise. I was given a room in the basement with windows painted over and next to no natural light.However room was large and reasonably well appointed. We have to say a big thank you, as we found the Minster Hotel spot on! It is a great, well appointed, family run hotel, with lovely, attentive staff. The room was super, clean and spacious and it offered us a great sleep. It being very quiet, and the bed nice and comfy. Breakfast is excellent too, with lots of choice, perfectly cooked, hot and wonderfully tasty.. all served by a great staff team, who are literally a well oiled machine. The Minster seems to have ample, private parking and is ideally placed for York city centre. Bootham is a very short walk to the Minster, Shambles, museums etc.. Go on, treat yourself!
