This hotel is uphill from the station, but manageable even with a suitcase. It is a few steps from a fabulous bakery and cafe and 20 metres to the Monastery. There are also a few restaurants close by. Perfect location.

Hotel is very basic, it would be great if it can supply a kettle so we can make tea or coffee of our own. Buying coffee is expensive and it's all machine made not authentic coffee. Parking in Switzerland is a big problem, basically every where you park will have to pay and hotel does not supply parking.

1. Luggage rack to place your suitcase on to unload clothes, etc. Without it, we had to put our suitcase on the floor which is inconvenient.
2. Shower bar. The shower was nice but slippery. There is no 'grab bar' to hold on to when entering or exiting the tub/shower. This is not safe!
3. Windows should be triple paned on the street side to block out sound. We could hear EVERYTHING from the street and church. Very noisy.
4. We needed to supply our own toiletries. The only bath soaps were hand soap and shower gel (i.e. no shampoo, body lotion, etc).
5. There are no small night lights so when you get up at night, you have to turn on the main lights.
6. It would be nice to have bottled water in the room.
7. Lastly, please check the toilet seal/wax ring for leaks. We definitely smelled drain fumes in the bathroom.

I was staying over Fasnacht weekend and there was excellent communication about the extra noise that would be occurring due to the cultural celebrations. The staff were lovely and I was given some great information about the area and local history at check-in.

Very small room. Hotel has no parking and you have to park in a public parking nearby and to pay only with coins.There is a window between inside room and shower and you can see other person naked when is showering that is a serious violation of private intimacy.

The hotel is fine and conveniently located. Eisiendeln is beautiful. Everything was just ok and there was nothing really wrong however relative to what you get for the price in other European towns of this size you might be disappointed. The room was tiny but clean, good/free wifi, nice breakfast. The decor of the room was more like a dorm room. We just stayed one night passing through on our way to Italy but if I had planned on staying there longer I would have done more research.

Nice hotel steps away from the Monastery
The location was perfect. The hotel was very clean. We really liked that the window opened so we could regulate the temperature of the room with the cold air from outside. The Monastery was only a block away. We took the daily tour at 2pm. Even with it being all in German we found it beneficial because we toured areas that individual visitors can not see otherwise, such as the beautiful library and school. Hiking around and behind the Monastery provided for stunning views. The only reason I did not score the hotel perfect is the bed was a little too firm for us.

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful and quiet little down. We came to visit the Einsiedeln Abbey. Just keep in mind most of the standard european hotel rooms can only sleep 2, but if you specify there are 3 people, they will give you a larger room with three beds. Their breakfast was excellent! I was very impressed. I would definitely come back to this little town and this hotel.

This hotel is very nice with modern conveniences although the rooms are small. It is within walking distance of the Cathedral and all of the area. We did not eat in the restaurant but the complimentary breakfast was very good and the area clean.

Off the beaten path, a real gem to discover. The hotel was great; Rooms were very clean, breakfast was plentiful and diverse, staff was very pleasant. this hotel is situated in a small town in the Alps; great picturesque hiking, next to the most beautiful church/monastery I have ever seen. Drive around the lake towards the ski station and have a scenic lunch outdoors. Simply put, this was an amazing experience for my family.

An oasis on the pilgrimage route
My husband & I stayed at the St. Georg in the middle of a two week hiking tour (Via Jacobi / Jakobsweg). After nine hours going up & down mountains, any room would suffice, but checking into the St. Georg was like checking into a spa! The room appeared to have recently been remodeled, and was spotless. Check-in was a breeze, and all the staff we encountered were friendly. The location couldn't be better, just steps from the magnificent church that is the center of this lovely town, and only 8 min or so from the train station. Many restaurants were nearby, so our tired feet didn't have far to go for a good meal. The following morning we had a terrible storm, and the staff behind the desk checked weather conditions along our route, as well as offering assistance with train tickets should we decide not to walk through a blizzard to our next stop. All of this was done while we leisurely grazed on their substantial breakfast bar. It was a fabulous experience, and we hope to come again (but without the backpacks and blisters!). Thank you St. Georg for taking in two road-weary pilgrims, and sending out two well-rested travelers.

Wir hatten zu dritt (2 Erwachsene + 1 Achtjährigen) ein Superior Doppelzimmer mit zusätzlichem Schlafsofa. Das Zimmer war geräumig genug, sauber und es war makellos. Die Ausstattung war einfach. Minibar oder eine kleine Kaffee-/ Tee-Maschine etc. gab es nicht auf dem Zimmer.

5 dagar som var alldeles underbara. Hotellets personal var mycket trevliga och tillmötesgående, vi fick checka in en timma tidigare. Rummet var välstädat och fräscht. Frukosten var utmärkt med idel lokalproducerad mat. Bröd från bageriet mitt emot, mjölk, ost och yoghurt från det lokala mejeriet.

Wir haben unsere eine Nacht in diesem Hotel sehr genossen. Das Zimmer war sauber und praktisch eingerichtet.
Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt fast keine Wünsche offen und ist auch für Langschläfer geeignet, da man (zumindest sonntags) bis 11:30h schlemmen kann.

Gut gelegen und sehr freundlicher Empfang. Am Morgen startet die Zimmerreinigung früh was an sich kein Problem ist. Die Mitarbeiterinnen sind aber sehr laut (schreien teilw. über den Gang) was für Gäste, die länger schlafen wollen störend ist.

Greatly located hotel in the centre of Einsiedeln, just few steps away from the abbey. Having the chance to rest in a sauna in the evening was a true gem. Room as such was small but cosy, though without any view and window was opening into an alley with some kitchen exhausts that were fairly noisy. It was also funny to find out that the floor in some area was a little inclined. Next door's coffee roastery was a great bonus!

Ein nettes, kleines Hotel im Herzen von Einsiedeln
Wir hatten ein schönes Langlaufwochenende. Alles hat sehr gut funktioniert. Die Tiefgarage war günstig, 12 Fr. für 2 Tage. Das Frühstück mit regionalen Produkten hat uns sehr gefreut. Das Zimmer und vor allem das Bett war etwas klein. Allerdings gerne wieder.

Wir besuchten den Weihnachtsmarkt in Einsiedeln. Vorgängig hatte ich nach der Möglichkeit einer Parkplatzreservation angefragt. Dies sei nicht Möglich, da das Hotel über keine Parkplätze verfügt, wir können jedoch zum Deponieren des Gepäcks vor dem Hotel parkieren. Wegen des Weihnachtsmarktes waren aber sämtliche Straßen gesperrt und wir mussten einen weiten Weg mit Gepäck zu Fuss gehen. Dies hätte der Mitarbeiter wissen müssen.
