Modern hotel but issues

Really nice modern hotel with quality room and great breakfast and dining options. but we had 2 issues that spoiled our stay a bit.

1) Ongoing construction around hotel plus event setup everywhere in hotel was a bit of a disruption and eyesore. Hotel is also right on the train tracks.

2) hotel required upfront pre-authorisation of hotel stay cost (CHF277) + CHF200 deposit, and then on check out another separate charge for the hotel stay (reason given that otherwise the 200 deposit would take 30 days to be refunded). As a traveller from another country with limited CHF in a multi currency debit card used while traveling, this was super inconvenient. 2 weeks later I am still waiting for a refund of the CHF477 even though the hotel says they have released… and just hope it refunds after 30 days as promised. This caused unwanted stress, admin to follow up and cost to transfer more funds from other currency to cover trip costs.

Also the casino in the hotel might not be that great for you if you’re not a gambler (but the CHF10 free voucher to use in casino was a nice touch)

BTW, the view of the restaurant is quite well.

Dont spend the extra money to get the panoramic lake view... its a panoramic view of railroad tracks with trains passing all night long... the only time you can see the lake is when you are right up to the window off to the side. The ac barely works and its hot and stuffy, if you open the window you will be attacked by mosqitos all night long. Also our shower head was broken and only held at the absolute bottom. Asked to switch rooms, was refused. No coffee machine or hot water pot. The food was okay at the restaurant. Also, takes like an hour to get into Zurich, its way on tge outskirts if you are not familiar with the area.

We were given a room which was attached to another room and door was not locked someone just walked into our room. When asked to change the room, receptionist said there was no other room available within our rate. Pillows were not comfortable and it was hot in the room. Air conditioning was not cold at all and was just blowing air. Breakfast was great and most importantly there was free parking available. Location is also great next to the lake.

We traveled to Switzerland for the first time and decided to stay here instead of Zurich because it was cheaper. It is far from all the touristy places but that made our stay more peaceful being away from all the crowds we rented a car so location wasn’t a huge problem for us since we just drove everywhere. Breakfast buffet was pretty good and convenient.

We chose this hotel as we needed a place for stopover on our drive to Innsbruck. It is ideally situated off the highway. There is a casino in the hotel as well. The room was quite large (family of 4) with a balcony overlooking the lake. We had dinner at the sushi restaurant, which was excellent. The breakfast the next morning was also very good (one of the best on our trip). The options were numerous and we enjoyed the fresh OJ machine. Parking was ample and easy. We would definitely stay here again.

Seedamm was a very nice stay.
We had a panorama room on the 3rd floor.
Train right under the balcony - but it’s almost whisper quiet and does not bother at all.
Kids loved the game room facility.
Mediterranean restaurant was ok, sushi was never open for some reason
Free parking and plenty of it, with direct access by elevator.
With limited dining options the fridge in the room could be bigger and have a small freezer in it as well. Another nice addition that would not hurt - water kettle.
AC was loud but not as efficient at all, the weather was good during our stay so it was ok, but when it’s hotter - that would be an issue.
Breakfast options could also include selections for vegans and pescatarian clients.

Well located hotel away from the crowded city center. It is pretty close to a beautiful walking trail and close to the lake as well. The is a mall with a super market (Migros) within 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

They had one of the best breakfast with lots of fruits, breads, juices, cereals etc. You will be very pleased with the breakfast. Overall... 5 star ratings.

Seedamm Plaza was a great location for our family to explore the area. It’s location to Alpamare is excellent, for those looking to go there. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast buffet is good, minus not having decaffeinated coffee options. The standard coffee was very bitter and subpar as well. The rooms with a view of the lake also have a view of the train line… not optimal. These rooms also are located to the side where the conference center is, an loud music can be heard until very late, should an event be taking place. Despite this, the hotel is very nice.

Very disappointed with this hotel, they gave us the wrong room at first, then after we told them the room that we booked, they then moved us!.
Lake views were partial and every request we had seemed to be a problem for the reception team.
We will NOT be staying here again!. Under no circumstances and I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone!.
Save yourself the expense.

The Panarama hotel and spa is the one worth staying in!.

Outside of Zürich but you won’t regret staying her

I loved this hotel and could fault any aspect of it. Even the walk from the train station along the lake was lovely.
Far better to stay here then take the train into Zürich. The ground floor restaurant was great (albeit inexpensive but what isn’t in Switzerland), the rooms are fine, the spa was lovely, and even the casino was lively.
The gym wasn’t up to American standards but it was passable. All in all, I will certainly stay here again.

The hotel was extremely clean and the beds were clean and comfortable. In the morning we were running late for breakfast and Maria was an extremely nice host and helped us grab breakfast items and placed them on our table. In the morning during our checkout, the front desk staff was also very courteous. The casino was an added bonus to our stay, and we also got a 10 CHF voucher & 2 complimentary drinks at the bar.

Very comfortable, friendly, modern hotel option within easy driving distance or train to Zurich. Attached to casino but very quiet. Rooms spotlessly clean, modern and spacious. Very comfortable beds. Outstanding breakfast buffet. Best of a sample of two dozen in France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland on this trip. Easy access to motorway. Staff without exception highly professional, pleasant and helpful. Highly recommended without reservation.

The hotel is a bit far from downtown Zurich (probably a 30-45 minute train ride) but ideal if you need to be in the area for meetings, etc. The rooms were very nice and the hotel staff as well - very accommodating. I would certainly stay there again if I was traveling in the region.

We stayed at Seedham Plaza to attend the Rapperswil-Jona Blues and Jazz Fest. We really enjoyed this hotel. Our room was large, very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We did not use the casino at all, but what I did note was that unlike most casinos, this one did not intrude at all on the hotel experience. Our room was quiet and room service was great.

Arrived late. Check in were not sure what room I had booked. Were not told how anything worked in the room. Air conditioning did not work. Complained and was told it did not work as it was only floor heating. Too many activities were going on. Outside meetings, three restaurants together and a casino on the same floor. Also smoke smell in room from the central air as well as several smoking areas within the hotel/casino. No instructions how the buffet breakfast worked re lack of any hot food, which was available Notwithstanding staff were excellent.

Moderne, grosse einfach eingerichtete Zimmer. Sehr sauber. Getränke im Kühlschrank gratis. Habe eine Uhr im Zimmer vermisst. Ebenfalls wäre es toll wenn es bereits Kabel im Zimmer hätte um zum Beispiel das Mibiltelefon zu laden.

Check in freundlich, Zimmer sauber, in Ordnung. Im Gegensatz zum Vorjahr weniger (nur 2) Kleiderbügel und somit weniger Ablagefläche für Kleider.
Das Weihnachtsmenue war lecker, auch für Vegetarier.
Frühstücksbuffet ok, kleinere Auswahl als im Vorjahr. Was ärgerlich war, die Hotelgäste hatten weniger Platz, kleinere Auswahl beim Buffet zugunsten Brunchbuffet für Laufkundschaft. Ich hoffe, diese Massnahme hat sich für das Hotel gelohnt. Als Hotelgast war ich darüber nur mässig glücklich.

Das Personal war super freundlich. Das japanische Restaurant war hervorragend. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und die Zimmer sehr sauber. Auch das Frühstücksbüffet war sehr gut. Kurzum klare Empfehlung und wir kommen gerne wieder.
