The room was very clean, and the location is extremely convenient. Whether traveling to Zurich Airport or Zurich HB, it only takes about 20 minutes. After getting off the transport, it is just a short walk to the hotel. The staff were also very helpful and friendly.

Sedartis Hotel was friendly, warm and with excellent service. All staff were extremely helpful. A very good range and options available for breakfast and all very well presented. Our garden view room on the lower ground floor was small. x2 single beds and a made up sofa bed. A small modern bathroom with shower cubicle. The temperature/heating is centrally managed by front desk staff - very warm initially with request made to turn the temperature down and also could open the door out to patio area. The train station is located very conveniently outside the hotel and is a short walk to Lake Zurich. A very comfortable and enjoyable experience overall and would definitely return again.

Hotel air-conditioning was too hot. Requested once with reception/lady and she did nothing, offered me a fan. I declined. I opened my balcony door which i could not step outside so in fact i did not get balcony with my booking.If i opened my balcony door, so much noise from trains. Requested 2nd time to reception to make my room cooler. There was a young man at reception and he made it cooler and helped, after that was ok. Rooms are like a bubble very small, double bed had 2 single mattress side by side, not double. I think Expedia should look into this and question why. It was uncomfortable sleep as i kept sliding to the middle part and landed in the part of 2 single mattress. Location was a blessing and was good, next to train. Supermarket was close otherwise nothing to eat. I do not think i will return to this hotel. Young man at reception was very nice. If this message can be sent to him would be greatly appreciated. I checked in on 9th Oct, Room 302 and he helped me making my room cooler otherwise i could not sleep. I was feeling dizzy as there was no air. I told him if i do not sleep i will get real sick. Sometimes people at reception can either make or break your stay. Lady who checked me in was not very nice. Please let hotel know so they correct their service.

We were so happy and charmed by this stay. The view of the lake from our balcony was beautiful and calming. The location is convenient right by the train station, but somehow on our balcony all we could hear were the sounds of the birds and the breeze. The room was spacious and comfortable. The dinner here was excellent, and the staff were friendly. We will gladly return someday. Danke schön!

Very comfortable and minimalist hotel

We loved this hotel! It's the ideal place to rest and recover from long flights and jet lag. We had large sliding doors overlooking the street. The thick soundproof glass kept the room quiet. The hotel bar has snacks and light meals most the day and evening with outdoor seating. It's a very easy walk to the train station and lake. Thalwil is a pleasant small city near the Wilderness Park and the lake with lots of restaurants, some quite good. There's reasonably priced parking right on the hotel's lower floor. Staff is friendly and bilingual.

The hotel is right opposite to the train station, it's very convenient and accessible. We chose a room with lake view, it's stunning. The staff are friendly, especially Nea from the restaurant, she is very helpful and kind, great customer service ever. She remembered our room number, made my parents welcomed when they have their breakfast early in the day. Even my parents doesn't speak english, Nea tried her very best to look after them. We will definitely come back!

Great hotel for stopovers or short breaks in Zurich area. We stayed as family of four and had two interconnected rooms. Very clean, very spacious and good breakfast. Right opposite Thalwill railway station for convenience into town. Easy check in/out. No complaints.

Hotel is very clean , receptionist are friendly and helpful . Location is superb , 2 minutes walk to the train station and 5 minutes walk to the ferry port . The only negative is breakfast , very expensive for what’s on offer ! Very limited choice of bread , fresh fruit and cold options , scrambled egg was so dry and bacons were too oily and fatty . For around £25 per person I was expecting more options and better quality . Otherwise we had a great stay .

A very nice and modern stay.
The building is very modern, bathroom is clean and looks almost futuristic, which was kind of different from our previous stays in
Switzerland. We enjoyed our night there.
There's a minibar and room service is available.
Depending on where your room is, the Wi-Fi will be weak and you will lose signal, so we had no internet.
You can connect to the Chromecast if you have internet. It was OK since it was just one night. If you are staying for business, I suggest making sure your assigned room will have internet.
Parking is easy, plenty of street parking.
It's also near the lake, and you can get in a boat to tour the lake if you need to kill time before the check in. The boat tour takes about 2h, you can buy tickets online.

Booked 2 rooms with 2 bedrooms for family of 9. Hotel is by the train station, clean, check in was easy and staff was friendly. Rooms were spacious even bathrooms, quiet, and price was reasonable. The lake view on the top deck was amazing. It is not close to the main city but train is just few steps away. Highly recommended!

I love overall design of this hotel and the view of the lake. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of food and drinks and is worth the extra $. I wished they had handsoap by the sink in the bathroom instead of the same shampoo/bodywash that they had in the showers. Given the opportunity, I would stay at this hotel again.

A perfect spot to explore Zurich and surroundings

The Sedartis is perfectly located with breathtaking lake views and a quiet neighborhood. At the same time it’s across the street from Thalwil train station only a 10 minutes train ride away from Zurich city center. The hotel is very stylish with modern design. I liked the color scheme and modern look of the room. It’s super clean and the staff very friendly and customer focused. The restaurant was great too - especially the beef tartare which is a specialty of the house. I will definitely come back to the Sedartis for my next business or leisure trip to the Zurich area.

Hotel location was a very short walk from the train station.Train into Zurich takes approx. 10 min. From the lake side room you could not hear the train at all. View of the lake was very good with a short walk to the lake with a path along the lake to walk to local restaurant on the water. The room was very clean and service was good. Balcony was immaculate and a great place to have a drink and relax from the day. Definitely would go back to stay here.

What a nice hotel in a nice town 10 minutes away from Zurich. The trains run continually between towns, plus a ferry is also available to make things very easy. The people here were very helpful many times for different things. We only wish our room faced the lake instead of the street, but we weren't there much anyways. It's a beautiful hotel in beautiful Zurich!

We stayed for 4 nights at Sedartis. I paid more for a room with a lake view, but was not informed that there was construction going on. Our room looked directly over the site - I could have had a conversation with the construction workers - and construction began promptly at 7AM, if not a bit earlier. The first morning, it sounded like jackhammers. Our room was also quite hot and our beds only had a heavy comforter, no sheet, and there is no thermostat in the room meaning we had to sleep with the balcony door open so there was no dampening of the sound from the construction site. I spoke with the front desk the next day and they informed me that they control the room temps centrally and ours was set to 74 (small room, two people, plus sun heating up the room during the day meaning it was probably closer to 80). They did turn down the temperature and provided a fan, which served the dual purpose of muting the construction noise. I do feel that the construction should have been disclosed and that we should not have been charged more for the “lake view” or a refund of the difference should have been offered. When asked how our stay was and I mentioned that it was unfortunate that we had paid more for this room when it was overlooking the construction, I barely received a mumbled apology. I understand that the hotel is not in control of construction that may be going on around the building, but they do need to make some adjustments or disclose the information to their guests.

The hotel is exactly what a looks like - a relatively inexpensive place to stay just outside of Zurich. It's very comfortable and very clean. The staff is pleasant and it's located literally right next to the Thalwil train station which can get you into Zurich within 9 minutes (depending what train you take) and to Luzern in 30 minutes. The hotel provides you with earplugs for the train noise, but I didn't use them and barely heard the trains - Switzerland doesn't exactly have steam-powered trains, lol! This was my second time staying here and I'll keep staying here, it's a great deal and very comfortable.

Amazing!!

What a brilliant find. This hotel is right across the road to the train station and within easy reach of the town centre. It’s modern and pristine. Everything in the room is to a very high standard. Would definitely go there again. The staff are so helpful and the car park is underneath the hotel. Once parked you really don’t need it as you can get to Zürich by boat or train very cheaply. Good Value and Excellent Location

The Sedatis hotel in Thalwil is an excellent very well run hotel with pleasant helpful staff. It is situated a few kilometres from the centre of Zurich, but almost directly opposite the train station where the frequent trains will have you in the centre of the city within a few minutes. Thalwil is a lovely quiet location and the hotel has fine views overlooking Lake Zurich. In addition to the trains there are trolley buses or trams and a couple of hundred metres away is a ferry pier where you can board a ferry that can take you to several locations around the lake.
I would recommend this very modern hotel as an pleasant and economical alternative to staying in the city centre.

This hotel is very close to the railway station and easy to find when getting off the train from Zurich Airport. However we did not find that there was any problem with noise from the trains. We found the staff to be pleasant, helpful and attentive and our room was comfortable and very modern. From our balcony we had a good view of Lake Zurich one way and the station the other.
Food was very good but being Switzerland, expensive, although it compared reasonablywell with other local establishment

Ok hotel directly opposite Thalwil station.

An ok hotel. Nothing particularly bad but then again nothing particularly good. Location is ok for access to fast train into central Zurich and there is underground parking available at a small cost. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms are quite minimalist but there is a fair amount of wear and tear particularly around shower areas etc. which isn't something you expect firstly in Switzerland and secondly in a hotel of this standard. There is no tea/coffee or water in the room. It is obviously aimed at business travellers mainly. We were given rooms on the underground floor which was right under a party room. The music was very loud in the room on the Saturday evening although it was turned off around 2230 but with young children it's not ideal and the hotel was obviously nowhere near full. Breakfast is ok with full buffet or smaller option available.

A very nice hotel not so far from Zurich.

This is a great hotel even though you need to buy pricey rail tickets to get to Zurich. Otherwise all is great.

We did not have breakfasts in the hotel - so no comments as far as the quality of breakfast is concerned. But it was quite pricey as everything in Switzerland. You should go there for a family holiday only in case your pockets are deep.

Great hotel close to Zurich

This is a fantastic hotel that is close enough to the main tourist locations of Zurich to enjoy, but far enough to be affordable. They have plenty of underground parking for 15 EUR/day. Don't miss out on the breakfast buffet, it is very good and they will cook to please if you have lactose or gluten issues, and the restaurant has a great view. The view of the lake from the room is spectacular (if you get a room on that side). I received an email from hotel staff a few days prior to my arrival and it gave me a link that allowed me to make requests. When I arrived, all I had to do was check-in and go to my room. All of my requests had been addressed, in fact there was a table waiting for us in the morning for breakfast.

The view of lake Zurich is breath-taking and the room were extremely clean and comfortable. The restaurant was great and served delicious food and drinks. Very simple to reach from Zurich airport by train. Only a 3 minute walk from Thalwil station and as the Swiss trains run very precisely, the journey time was only 30 minutes in total. Reception staff were great - very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Didn't eat in the restuarant but the breakfast was very nice.

Nice hotel, clean, large rooms. It is just a few steps from the train station of Thalwil, about 10 min by train from Zürich HB. We had balcony towards the train tracks but still no disturbing noice. Hotel resturant excellent. Only thing that I disliked was the flat pillows.

The hotel is ideally situated outside of the city, near the lake. It is opposite the Railway Station at Thalwill so access into Zurich or other destinations is easy and the A3 motorway (exit 34) is straight forward to get to. The hotel is small, very modern and the staff are friendly and helpful. A peaceful spot to be.

Was visiting friend in Thalwil so a central Zurich location not 100% important. Right by the station, with regular trains to Zurich Hauptbanhof and the airport (it is on the Zug and Lucern line). Good value (for Switzerland!)

A hospedagem foi boa, o café da manhã tanto no aspecto qualidade dos produtos quanto atendimento foi muito bom. O quarto é bem ok tambem. O chuveiro não é espetacular, mas dentro do esperado. A 5 passos da estação de trem. Retornaria em próximas oportunidades.

Perfect hotel for business trip

Very nice hotel. Staff well prepared, very polite and solution oriented. Nice room with coffee machine and nice view. Good breakfast. The twin size bed was 2 beds together. That’s the only thing I disliked.
I’ll be back next year

Tolles Hotel am See

War zum zweiten Mal in diesem Hotel. Das Hotel Restaurant ist ausgezeichnet lecker, das Zimmer sehr schön eingerichtet und das Personal sehr nett. Zimmer Richtung Bahnhof bei offenem Fenster leider sehr sehr laut. Trotzdem kann ich das Hotel empfehlen.
