No choice of Cheese ( This is Switzerland! ) The bread was STALE .. we stayed for 3 nights . We complained after the first day . They refused to refund the money for the breakfast ! Then I wrote by email to the management - They never bothered to reply! We came with another couple , who left also a scathing review on another web site. What a shame that such a hotel can let themselves down .

The Locke Am Platz exceeded my expectations in every way. I stayed there for over a week and every member of the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable during my stay. The front desk staff were kind, accommodating, and always had great suggestions on how to utilize my days in Zurich. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and it felt like my home away from home. The location cannot be beat. The train station was right across the street which allowed me to get where I needed to go easily. Plenty of shopping and restaurants in walking distance. I was a solo traveler and I felt safe walking around the area at night. I would recommend to anyone and look forward to my next stay.

The real treat however was the restaurant — upscale but well worth it, with excellent service and a menu tailored to entertain as well as satisfy. Again, the staff were perfect: friendly, efficient, thoughtful. The location, across from a tram/train hub, is probably the best aspect. Airport in 20 minutes!

Lovely hotel and staff. Nice studio room with a kitchen that has all you need. However the buffet breakfast was just okay but it was included with the room booking. The hotel is right next to a tram stop so it's easy to commute to the central area in the city. It is also next to a train station with a train that goes directly to the airport. There are sime stores nearby but unlike New York, everything closes early and many places are closed on Sundays. Staff was welcoming and rooms were clean. Transportation is directly in front of the hotel and we felt very safe.

Nithiya gave us an extremely warm welcome. Everyone was helpful. In common with most Zurich hotels there is no AC but a stanfing fan was provided that circulated the air just fine in our balcony-room that itself was clean and pleasant equipped with a kettle (we carry tea bags and creamer everywhere), coffee maker and pods and a decent sized refridgerator. The hotel provides free ebikes if available at the time of request too! The lake is minutes away by foot or bike. A great spot in front of the FIFA Museum and trandit access. I'll look for other hotels in the chain in other European cities!

Room was very compact but clean and had everything that we needed. My travel adapter did not fit into socket but luckily there were USB charging points. Comfortable bed. Full kitchen facilities. Our breakfast was included. Choice of cereals, fruit, bread, croissants and hot/cold drinks. Not a lot of hot food options, there was scrambled egg and bacon. Would have been nice to have had a toaster to toast the bread. Would stay here again.

Great location - the hotel is right next to Enge station and tram stops that take you into the centre of Zurich, so it was really easy getting around.

Staff was great, but it is not a 4 star. Restaurant closes on the weekend, there are no staff at hotel Sunday mornings. Rooms are ok size, but the design is a poor version of 80’s. Way to much heavy drape makes it look dreary. Dust on upper shelves not touched in months. Lack of air requires free standing units which negate the use of balcony and leaving the door open. If you go in warm months, you will be extremely disappointed

The fundamental issue with this hotel is that it has no air conditioning. I stayed for two sultry June nights and got very little sleep due to the heat. Despite the heat, the room was supplied with not one but two heavy duvets when just a sheet would have been sufficient. The staff did provide me a fan, but I found it loud and annoying.

The room was really nice and comfortable. Clean and easy to come and go from. The team at the front desk are really helpful too! There are bikes you can use for the day to ride around the city or lake and adds some fun to the trip.

Although I only stayed for one night it was one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had at a hotel. The welcome was pleasant and there was a positive, helpful response to the many questions I had. The bedding was a real highlight and I’m making plans to revamp my own at home. I did notice some minor issues from people not taking care and it would be a shame if this was to affect the condition of facilities for future visitors. Everyone was so accommodating, breakfast was so good. I had the tastiest chocolate croissant I’ve had so far in life. Grateful for to 10% discount I received to use towards future bookings as I’m now keen to check out other locations.

This hotel was more like a 2 star hotel for me. Yes it was clean and the hotel staff was great. Yes it had a restaurant that serve breakfast but the breakfast was not great. Cereal and the additives for the cereals were good but they service only corn flaked and granola no other kind. The hotel does not have A/C and NO TELEHONE🤔. I was shocked. The decor/furniture that it has it’s un real. Very uncomfortable to sit around. For me the rooms were ugly, although the bed wasn’t that bad. The negative about the bed is that the only have queen size and the comforters they have are very heavy to sleet with and having no A/C these are not practical. The location was not that good either. Not walkable to the best parts of Zurich. The cost of everything in Switzerland is high so to action here have 2x more in your budget. I will not stay here again.

Nice to have a refrigerator and mini kitchen. Restaurant staff especially Sarah and others at breakfast so sweet. The menu items could use a change or different items, like a pancake day but always plenty and delicious. The grocery stores and pharmacy across the street at the Enge Train Station so convenient. Need to bring your own loofah or washcloths, no AC but a fan provided for us and windows and door can be opened for cool air. Uber is super convenient or the trams in front of the hotel can take you all over Zürich. Bus station is behind the Main Train Station with trips everywhere over Europe or just book a day trip by bus or train. There is construction in the courtyard behind the hotel but they keep the noise to a minimum but get out every day and enjoy your stay.
