This hotel is steps away from the bus station and ferry pick up/drop off. Also a 3 minute walk from the Mark Twain point (beautiful scenery). The staff was the best hotel staff I have ever encountered and made us feel right at home 24/7. The dinner was fantastic and so much fun. We will be back in the summer!

This was a small boutique Swiss hotel. Rooms were small and amenities limited. They claimed to for Eco reasons removed the bar fridge. No air conditioning and it was HOT. being able to have cold water would have helped. I asked and they gave us a bucket with ice so we could keep some water cool. Fortunately, right on the water so it cooled down at night or never would sleep. The hotel tried to keep that old fashion look which is nice but certain things are needed.

The location is absolutely stunning. However I have to say the furniture in the room can be updated and they could definitely use window or portable AC units. The room was very hot for the two nights we were there.

The room was dirty, with a lot of dust. There was too cold in the room, also in the bathroom. Dirty carpet, elevator without door, the whole hotel was dirty and old. We booked 2 nights and wanted to leave after the first 5 minutes, showed the pictures to the receptionist.She told us that the 2 nights we booked were not refundable, but can give us 50 CHF discount… at our next stay.

Hotel Staff was unbelievable sweet and helpful. The rooms are spacious. We had a small balcony facing Lake Lucerne…incredible view. The hotel is in Weggis so about 40 minutes from Lucerne. The only complaint I would have would be the hotel hallways looked dingy and old but the rooms were nice.

Not A Great Stay: Staff needs to be Polite!
We booked the hotel for four days but were very disappointed with the attitude of the staff. After a 12-hour journey with my family, during which my kids were tired and two elderly members were crying at the reception, the manager, told me to remove my children from the hotel if they cried at any point. I was shocked by her behavior and pointed out that she was being extremely rude and out of line. She tried to deflect the discussion to other points.
Since I wanted a peaceful stay and did not want to start our holiday on a terrible note, I remained calm and let the issue go. However, this incident did ruin our mood. Later in the evening, the manager apologized for her behavior, which I accepted.
Nevertheless, I question why such a terrible welcome was necessary. Was it because of our race? I did not see her behave this way with other white guests, whom she served politely and respectfully. On several other occasions, her behavior fell short of the expected hotel service standards, and I had to remind her of how to speak to a guest. In total, we experienced her rudeness three times during our stay.
I will be writing to the hotel separately about this issue, as it is important for them to know how their staff's behavior can ruin someone's holiday.

Disappointing but area beautiful
Basic hotel with dirty carpets, strange old lift that stopped working. Basic breakfast. Not very helpful or friendly staff apart from one young girl. The bed was comfortable and it had a good shower but nowhere in bathroom to put bottles, creams, toilet bag etc. The location is beautiful so it’s a shame that they don’t make more of the inside.

Beautiful view and area. So happy I stumbled on this gem. The area was peaceful not crowded and near Mt. Rigi. Near bus stop and boat. Didn’t have much parking so you have to be lucky. The property was nice. The actual hotel is older but clean. Staff were kind and attentive. Enjoyed the breakfast and the restaurant was great.

This was the best stay among all of our trips across Europe. The staff is friendly and the hotel is great!! I cannot say enough good things about our stay. Mount Rigi was a short walk behind the hotel and the ferry to Lucerne was right down the road. Didn't have to drive the entire time we were there.

Very wonderful place and I will stay again. This feedback is only explaining why 4 stars instead of 5 of 5. Only things preventing highest rating— 1) exterior incredible but interior not new; 2) outdoor propane fireplace out of gas and they were unaware (the patio should be their top selling point! even in winter; 3) Very kind staff and willing to be helpful, but not as knowledgeable as could have been on family discounts for the highest rating. For example, they were unaware of a Weggis ‘Tuesday’s’ special discount on the trains/cable cars that I serendipitously discovered online. They helped me research the details after my discovery and recommended it. However, I decided to just ask about it at the cable station and it turned out they had an even less costly ‘family’ special which was further for a half day. If they knew those details, I would have rated highest.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about the Seehof Du Lac Hotel in Weggis! This was my first time to Europe and they made me feel so welcome and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious and well appointed. The view was outstanding and the location next to Rigi and the lake could not be beat. I will definitely recommend to family and friends.

The location is great. The boat is directly across from the train and then hotel short walk. Weggis back to Lucerne is beautiful. Mt. Rigi is located just out of Weggis. Very friendly staff and right on water with comfortable chairs. There was music at 10:45 everyday near hotel, in July.

Didnt like the way of communication for the reception bold person, all others were better, he speakes with customers in a bad way and trying to get any money he can get, I reserved the apartment with a free parking and he told me to use the paid one, also I paid for my kids already and he let me pay again.
Be careful of this hotel, don't pay through crited cards, they write everything after the booking to cover themself as he said for me for the parking,, the best thing is the location and lake view.

The location of this hotel was perfect. The ferry dock was next to the hotel; we took a ferry into Lucerne and spent the day. The next day we went to Rigi Mountain via tram and train. It can be accessed by walking maybe 500 ft straight up the mountain (which is at the front door of hotel) or by driving to the tram. Everyone in the hotel was professional, friendly, and very helpful. We had planned to try various restaurants in Weggis but their food the first night was so outstanding we ate every night there in addition to breakfast which also was outstanding.
The interior of the hotel was beautiful and there was a terrace where you could enjoy the lake and mountain views. Highly Recommend, would stay there again.

The hotel is situated on Lake Lucern. The terrace cafe is on the water where you can sit and relax while taking in the beauty of the lake and mountains, or you can take a swim. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and kind. Our room was comfortable, however, it was located on the street side and quite noisy from traffic and passersby. The furnishings are basic and decor sparse, but that was hardly noticed because of the hotel’s beatiful location on the water, excellent restaurant, and wonderful staff. A great value. We’d stay again.

We had just a stopover in Switzerland on our ten day trek through Europe and decided to book this hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. There was no parking right outside available at the time we arrived, but they had free parking just a short distance away. The views out back of this small hotel are amazing! The breakfast in the morning was very good. The room was cozy and clean. Weggis in general seemed pretty rural, and this hotel is in a residential area with a few bars and restaurants in walking distance. I would love to stay here again when I make my way back to Switzerland sometime in the future. It had a classic “Swiss” feel to it, even with a cuckoo clock in the hallway.

We were allocated room 444 when we expected a 3 night stay over new year in a lake view room. 444 is the noisiest room street side and next to the town clock which chimes every 15mins 24hrs a day (no sleep). No view, No apology or offer to move room yet when we departed they confirmed other rooms were available. An expensive aand very disappointing option which we believe was the worst we have ever had through Expedia! I would welcome contact from Expedia on this as it was an expensive error for us and an unusual experience with Expedia recommended product especially to VIP members

We stayed in a city view room so I cannot say it was any special but having seen the location of the hotel, if you book a room with a lake view, your experience might be very different. The room we stayed in was spacious and warm. The weather turned cold so I was really thankful to be in a warm room. However, the bathroom could be modernised and improved. It might be just our room but I was unable to enjoy the shower as it did not drain water well and soon I was standing in a pool of water. Overall, considering the price we paid, it was good.
