Hotel was in a great location in downtown Zurich. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean. The only things that we didn't like were that there was no air conditioning (the room got uncomfortably hot at night which made it difficult to sleep -- we tried the fan in the room but it was too loud even with earplugs and we tried opening the window but it was too loud because the clocktower chimes every half hour). Also, the washroom door faces the door and is clear glass (not frosted) so it's not very private. The elevator is kind of slow, but I think it's because it's an old building.

Such a wonderfully divine stay at this charming hotel. We couldn’t have been happier with the location, the room and the gorgeous staff, for whom nothing was ever too much trouble (and who provided such great recommendations). Despite being in the middle of the action we found the area to be tranquil enough that sleep was no issue. The room was stunning and so well designed - and the little added extras were much appreciated. Being able to enjoy the private balcony was an added delight. Would stay again without any hesitation if we ever find ourselves in Zurich in the future.

The most charming boutique hotel ♥️

This charming boutique hotel is located in the heart of Old Town with very access to the tram and walking distance to the must see sites including museums. I loved my king room that had the feel of home with under lighting and bay windows overlooking the cobble stone court yard. Equipped with an upscale Nespresso machine with complimentary sodas and juice, including chilled glasses. The attention to detail was phenomenal which also included every size electrical adapter in the desk. Zurich id now my new Paris primarily because of this charming hotel that I plan to return yearly.

A wonderful hotel and location.

I love this hotel, walking out to the what looked like beautiful cobble stone court yards in the mornings, and returning to such a lively court yards filled with people , bistro's resturants with tables outside and people enjoying different cuisines.
There are several restaurants to choose from, one being a sushi restaurant adjacent to the hotel, very good sushi!

The room was a very good size, comfortable, with a little kitchenett, living area and bedroom. Comfortable bed.

Also the hotel was a short walk to river, where the boat house is to catch the ferries, a short walk to the opera house and court.
A short walk to the train station. It was nice to sit and enjoy music by the river. A 10 minute walk from the hotel.

Everything you need, or need to get to is within walking distance of the quaint historic hotel in old town Zürich.
I for sure will recommend this hotel and or teturn to stay.
Love it! Theres a little noise from people enjoying the evening at the restaurants, but i enjoyed the sounds and it didnt prevent me from getting a good nights sleep.

We LOVED our stay! If I could give the staff more than five stars I would - they were all absolutely wonderful, helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel itself is very cool, and we made a lot of use of our balcony. I would stay again if I am in Zurich.

Beautiful 3 day stay in Zurich

Wonderful room and it was perfect for 2 people. Quick check in & the mini bar was a nice touch.. This hotel is right in the middle of all the restaurants and shops. It’s about a 10 minute easy walk from the train. We will stay here again!!!!

The room was very small. For the price (over $175 per night) it bordered on fraud. Moreover, although I was sure I had requested breakfast to be included I was charged over $30 for one of the most measly breakfasts that I ever gotten in a hotel, including the cheapest motels in America.

The staff was friendly enough, this is a no frill hotel. shared bathroom outside the room which was not that bad. not having an AC in the middle of summer was brutal. to be fair, this is more common in Europe than one would think. When we decided that the heat was just unbearable and decided to go to a different hotel, they gave us credit for one of the nights we didn't stay but also charged for one. again to be fair, that is in keeping with the hotel's cancelation policy. this is not a complaint about the staff. They were as nice as could be but a word to the wise, if you're going to Europe in the summer, DO NOT assume that all hotels will have AC

Location, location, location

Reading the reviews helped us pick the property right for our vacation. We read the warnings about the Church bells and the noise of partiers when the windows were open. We definitely experienced noise but were prepared with our earplugs.

The location was exactly what we wanted. Walking distance to the train station, major sights and lake tours.

We loved having the option of breakfast in the morning or a drink at our hotel in the evening.

Our room was cleaned very well everyday and the coffee machine refilled.

An nice touch was the apples we could take everyday. Also, the Ricola throat candies were a nice Swiss bonus.

Beware of the room without WC!

Surprisingly despite being a 4 star hotel not all the rooms have a bathroom in the room, so pls be aware when you make your reservation.
There was a problem with the system when I arrived so I couldn't check in straight away. later there were a few times issues with the card which made me go up and down from reception to my room several times. Eventually, to apologise for all inconvenience, they gave a me a free upgrade in a room with WC (I didn't realise when booking I chose one without!).

Great location in the heart of Zurich cold city downtown. Fancy and quirky bar too. However the single room with a double bed I booked apparently turned out to be without a toilet. Like you have a personal shower room only in the room but use the common toilet on the floor. this was like a hostel to me for the price of a hotel.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable - perfect for a business trip. The real story was that I accidently left my passport in the taxi. When I tried to check in, I realized it was missing. Sigi, the manager, immediately looked at the taxi receipt and called up the taxi company. Within 15 minutes, she had tracked down the driver and had him deliver it back to me. What a life saver!

Great boutique hotel - old town Zurich

Quick stopover in Zurich for the night. The hotel is in a fantastic location in the middle of the old town, with amazing shops and restaurants all around it. We had a balcony overlooking the square and the room was clean, comfortable and very well priced. If I had to suggest any improvements.. the room is pretty basic/bare and it would be nice to have pictures on the walls etc. Great stay and thank you very much.

The only really great thing about this hotel is its location. It is in a prime area in the old town district of Zurich and therefore makes it worth staying at most 2 nights but personally one was enough...

Quaint Little Hotel

A quaint little hotel in Zurich near the river on a cobblestone pedestrian area with a number of shops and restaurants nearby. Continental breakfast was available, but not included in the price of the hotel and was expensive. No lift (elevator) for luggage, but we were only on the second floor. There was a lot of activity outside on the street, so it did not quiet down until 11:30pm. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable.

Convenient stopover before flying back to US

I needed a clean & convenient hotel place to sleep before heading to the Zurich airport before flying home to the US the next morning. I wanted to be close to shopping for some last minute souvenirs & in a safe location because I was traveling alone & arriving in Zurich late in the afternoon. This hotel worked for that although breakfast is only included if you book with the hotel directly; otherwise the traditional European breakfast that they serve was an additional €22 so I opted to have breakfast at the airport instead.

this was my second stay at this hotel and i like it for its great location and cleanliness. Unfortunately, i checked in late at night and so when my tv didn't work, there was nothing i could do about it. Also, I found a wallet underneath my bed, which leaves me to believe that housekeeping isn't what it should be.

Do not stay here -- very poor value and overpriced

This hotel is very overpriced for the value -- the rooms are extremely small -- there is also significant construction going on right outside -- the walls are paper thin so you cannot get any sleep -- the bathroom does not have a door and is very small. The hotel is also on a pedestrian walkway and they don't warn you that you can't park nearby so you need to walk with your luggage about a block, then you have to park the car across the river at a public garage for about $60 US overnight. We were very disappointed with this hotel. The pictures are totally deceiving.

Great Hotel, just the street a bit noisy

I had a good stay with just a bit of a problem with noise on the street. Probably the only noisy street in Zurich at night. There is no AC to close all windows and stay in silence. But service, room keeping, staff, the bar downstairs and in general location are great!
