This is the perfect modest hotel. Price less than other mid-town hotels. Room small but clean, comfortable and adequate. A tad chilly but lots of hot water and a cozy comforter on the bed. You can’t beat the location. Good restaurants across the street, quick walk to trams (to/from airport also), train station, and old town shops and museums. I am 81 and found walking pleasant and easy.

Everything was excellent - staff were polite, helpful and welcoming; the room is of good reasonable size, clean and the bed is comfortable. The only one thing that I’d like to highlight is that the airport shuttle service comes with a charge and hotel staff did not mention about it when I make the booking or how much that would cost me till the driver ask me to pay when I reach the airport.

We stayed one night at Best Western Plus Hotel Zürcherhof and were pleasantly surprised by the comfort and thoughtful touches throughout. The room was clean, a good size, and came with a well-appointed bathroom. On arrival, the friendly receptionist greeted us warmly, and we were delighted to learn that bottled water, coffee, and fresh fruits were available at the reception area—just help yourself!
In-room amenities were generous, including a mini-bar fridge stocked with complimentary drinks, which was a lovely surprise. Buffet breakfast offered a great variety, and hot items like bacon and eggs were freshly prepared upon request.
The hotel is tucked away on a quiet street, yet it’s very convenient for exploring Zurich—just a short walk to shops, the lake, and Zurich University. Overall, a comfortable and welcoming stay with excellent value.

All staff I encountered was lovely and it was a great bonus to have ice pops and some snacks for free in the lobby, breakfast was good as well. My room was clean and nice, it even had a small balcony. Most hotels in Zurich don’t have air conditioning in the summer so I expected it to be warm and it was, but the staff did their best to help with this as much as possible.

The property is fine except that the ac system’s exhaust was put outside that did not allow the door to be closed. So, the room never cooled down.
The other major problem was that when I requested to reserve a taxi for transportation to the airport, the front desk staff reserved one of the most expensive taxi services; it costed 70 Euro for a 15 min drive. This is insane.

I had a room overlooking the street on a Saturday night, and people were yelling and partying until 3:30AM. It was impossible to sleep. The hotel should not have rented this room. Note that there is no air conditioning, and the room was about 90 degrees and it was necessary to keep the windows open. The room came with a nice new fan.

**Review of Best Western Plus Hotel Zürcherhof**

My experience at the Best Western Plus Hotel Zürcherhof was quite pleasant. The standout feature was the friendly and attentive staff – from the warm reception during check-in to the courteous restaurant and housekeeping team, everyone made sure I felt welcome.

A nice touch was the complimentary water, beer, and a selection of soft drinks provided in the mini-bar, which added value and convenience to the stay.

That said, the hotel could use some updates to its infrastructure. There were a few issues, such as loose latches in the bathroom and some chipped corners in the room, which detracted slightly from the overall experience.

Despite these minor maintenance concerns, the welcoming atmosphere, thoughtful perks, and excellent service make it a good option for a stay in Zurich. With a bit of attention to detail, it could be even better!

The hotel was an easy walk from the main train station, though there is an uphill/cobblestone section to get to the hotel. All the staff at the hotel were very nice. They had free water in the lobby along with free ice cream, all different flavors. It was fun to pick a new flavor after getting back each night. The mini bar in the room was also free and you could sign up to get free bottles of wine if you didn’t have your room cleaned that day. There is free breakfast which was good and saved money from eating out. The room can get a little stuffy but opening the windows solved that. It wasn’t too hot out but there is a fan in the room. We were on the 1st floor (2nd for us Americans) and it wasn’t loud. The windows blocked a lot of noise. There is also an elevator though it won’t fit more than two people and two medium sized bags. If I come back to Zurich I am definitely going to stay at this hotel. The location is great, near different tram stops and the main train station, the staff friendly, and the rooms nice.

Stayed here overnight before our flight from Zurich Airport. Very close to the Hauptbahnhof, so ideal on that front. Otherwise this hotel was excellent. The people who work here are brilliant. So helpful and friendly. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was superb. Lots of choice and the cooked to order eggs were delicious. Ruhrei with herbs is a particular favourite of mine. My wife's soft boiled egg was cooked to perfection too.

This hotel was poor and I would not recommend a stay here. The location is very central however it is therefore also very noisy. There are people and vehicle noises from outside that will wake you up early in the morning like around 5am. Plus they only have a portable air con with massive tube that you have to put outside the window. This is also very noisy like a washing machine going on all night. Spent two nights here and slept terribly.
