HOT! Not a good experience but hopefully temporary

Just to keep things in perspective, the issues I had seemed to be temporary due to construction but none the less what I experienced. The room was extremely hot. When I called down to the front desk to ask about it, they told me it was a known issue and should be fixed the next day. It was very hot for a couple days and then a little more managable the rest of the week but I had to keep the balcony door open the entire time (Febuary) just to keep the room at a manageable temp. The water also randomly and repeatedly went from scalding hot to cold during my showers which was fun. Other than that, its a no frills hotel but clean (aside from the construction) and in a good location (right across from the train station). I chose this place because of its location and the gym which is actually offsite but thats not a big deal. I might give it a try again and hope its better next time.

The staff was fantastic, very helpful and nice.
Room is clean, bed is super comfortable and they have a variety of pillows for you to choose from. In the other hand, room feels a bit old and the shower is not great.
Breakfast was disappointing, few options available but once again, the staff service was great.
Parking is in a dedicated floor of a public parking, not bad but not great as it was raining and was a tiny bit inconvenient.
Overall, great hotel with few improvements, would definitely stay there again.

Nice place to rest.

Was surprised that the receptionist finished at 8pm, and that they called me a few days prior to my stay to see what time I intended to check-in. In general they staff were friendly, supportive and the stay was pleasant enough. I don't like rooms that require you to climb in/out of a bath to shower, this would be my only real disappointment with the facilities.

The property was ideally located close to shops, restaurants and opposite the train station. The rooms were air conditioned and sound proofed. The dinners in the Asian restaurant were outstanding, and the breakfasts were good. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful.

Real nice hotel in front of the trains station. I came here for the Zurich Marathon swim which had a 6am registration andy they organized a breakfast at 5:30am for the swimmers. Real kind and attentive staff. Will definitely be back if I am coming back to that event!

Short walking distance to Train Sation was great. Breakfast was excellent and with convenient hours. Restaurant (excellent Chinese food) is widely known and gets many external diners, expensive so would have appreciated a discount coupon for being a hotel guest.

A very comfortable hotel

Although we arrived early at the hotel as we had a wedding to prepare for, the staff arranged for us to have our room early. Everything we needed was there, an iron and board, safe, a fridge, lovely toiletries (I don't think I have ever said that about a hotel) and a rubber duck too. Returning (rather late) we slept soundly before going to breakfast which was more than adequate (not too keen on the house coffee though). Raperswill itself is lovely with magnificent views of the lake. We had a couple of hours and so went to the swimming complex on the lake (which is free, or 1CHF for a locker!).

We stayed 5 nights while visiting elderly relatives in Rapperswil. This was perfect for us in both location and service. The staff were all very helpful and enthusiastic. Breakfasts were a highlight of the day. Right across from the train station but we didn't hear a sound during the night. Very comfortable and convenient. Wish list: a comfortable chair for reading (maybe two?)

The staff were really pleasant and helpful, rooms clean and warm. Breakfast was adequate - nice but nothing special (though they have good bread and homemade jam). Beds were fairly comfortable if, perhaps, a little hard - but that’s a personal choice. The only thing that bothered us was that the rooms were really warm so, after turning down the heating, we still needed to open the window to sleep. Rapperswil on a Friday and Saturday is noisy throughout the night till about 3am. We weren’t expecting that at all and it kept my daughter awake. This is not the fault of the hotel, of course, but somehow the rooms need to be able to be cooled so the windows don’t have to be opened - and guests informed how to do this.

I am a frequent visitor to this hotel (at least once per year for 5 years). It is positioned 2 minutes from the train station and close to all the scenic old parts of Rapperswil. It has an Asian restaurant/sushi bar on the ground level. South facing rooms have AC and north facing ones do not from what I could tell. More peaceful and quiet than staying in Zurich. Staff is exceptional and professional, especially the breakfast room service staff. Breakfast has a wider variety of options compared to other Swiss hotels I have stayed at, including hot eggs/bacon/sausage.

Très joli hotel, idéalement situé en plein centre de la magnifique ville de Rapperswil et à 2 pas du port et du lac, des rues piétonnes.
La literie est exceptionnelle! Chambre très propre.
Petit déjeuner vraiment trop simple, peu de choix.
Et ce qui nous a embêté, c’est le parking: obligé d’être de retour à 23:00, sinon vous ne pouvez plus y accéder! Donc ol vaut mieux parquer la voiture dans la zone non réservée à l’hôtel.

Die Lage und die Unterkunft haben uns sehr gefallen. Etwas schade haben wir jedoch gefunden, dass das Nicht-zur-Verfügung stehen des Aufzuges aufgrund von Sanierungsarbeiten in irgendeiner Weise abgegolten wurde (Preisnachlass bzw Getränk etc.). Auch die Fahrräder, welche als kostenlos zum Ausleihen auf der Seite beworben wurden, standen nicht zur Verfügung.
Dann wollten wir uns den Rotwein der Minibar genehmigen: leider war hier nur ein Weinglas im Doppelzimmer enthalten. Ansonsten können wir das Hotel aber nur weiterempfehlen.

Für den Preis erwarte ich ein wenig mehr!
Die Zimmer (wir hatten ein Deluxe Zimmer) sind ein wenig aufgewertet mit Parkett, Smart TV und anderen kleinen modernen Dingen. Die Zimmer wirkten auf mich sehr klein!
Schön ist, das man in einem nähegelegendem Fitnessstudio kostenlos trainieren kann und die Sauna benutzen darf.
Der Service ist top! Stets freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Ich würde dieses Hotel nicht mehr buchen.

Rundum ein guter Service in einem schmucken Hotel

Am Empfang wird man sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit willkommen geheissen. Das Zimmer ist schön eingerichtet und mit vielen aufmerksamen Details ausgestattet. Das Bett ist sehr bequem und allgemein ist das Zimmer sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Das ruhige Zimmer habe ich auch genossen, trotz nähe Bahnhof also sehr zentral für Reisende auch mit dem Zug und Gepäck. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig mit qualitativ guten Produkten angerichtet und der Service ist auch sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

Positiv aufgefallen: Gefüllte Minibar, gutes reichhaltiges Morgenbuffet, schönes Restaurant mit einem Sushi-Laufband (!) am Abend an der Bar.
Negativ eigentlich nur eine vielleicht mehr subjektive Ansicht von mir, die Duschwanne. Ab 4* denke ich ist eine Duschwanne nicht mehr angebracht, unbequem zum Duschen und auch etwas stillos.
