Hotel has an impressive reception area and pool.
The breakfast however had very limited western options… was defiantly catering to the Muslims… we longed for baked goods… different fruit varieties … bacon… pancakes…. and the coffee was so bad we just steered clear of it by the second day. The pool was beautiful BUT the atmosphere was ruined by the constant repeat of the same 5 songs through the speakers everyday ALL day. We also had to chase down house keeping several times to acquire more toilet paper … house keeping came very late in the day sometimes after 6pm. Our room was spacious and clean .. beds comfortable and staff were all lovely. We loved the location with plenty of choice of restaurants and a shopping mall close by, everything else was a cheap GRAB ride away. Meals from the bar at the pool were delicious. Has so much potential to become a five star just needs to cater for a wider variety of traveller.

I love the openness of the lobby to the outside. very relaxing and inviting. The breakfast definitely caters to the middle east and south east Asia cuisine. The views are great. You will have to travel to another town to use beach Lots to see locally.

We were not happy with our room. It was near the lifts and very noisy every night for 3 nights. This was from around 10 p m to past midnight. The lift bell sounded constantly and people talking loudly. Very difficult to sleep.

I stayed my family for the weekend and just loved this place. The stay was great. Breakfast was amazing. We took a pool facing room, which was one of the good things we did. Overall Great place. However, the restaurant in the hotel which serves food to the room is not up to the mark. When asked room service for room, and he packed it up and brought is in takeway style and the food was clearly not up the mark.

When I booked online was all include Texas and charges when I arrived at the hotel they still charge me Texas and tourism charges housekeeping, and never change the sheets no hot water in the morning too much bugs and mosquitoes there are running everywhere breakfast was disgusting and it is far away from everything

Dayang Bay Resort exceeded my expectations! I requested a high-floor sea view room, and to my delight, they upgraded me to a stunning room on level 6 with a breathtaking view of Maha Tower. The view was truly unforgettable. The staff's excellent service made my stay even more enjoyable. Pro tip for future guests: If you can, aim for a sea view room on the sixth floor. It makes a huge difference!

The property was nice. Unfortunately, the overall service was terrible. After check-in, upon entering the room, the door lock wasn't working. Then Air-condition was leaking and making terrible noise if I increased the Fan. The toilet door-lock wasn't working properly. I was with my family along with my infant baby, hence I spoke with the Front Office Stuff in the evening with all the concerns i had and requested for the Duty manager to speak to me which also was not communicated and i did not receive any response from the Duty Manager as well. The breakfast spread was absolutely not rich and with most guests that i spoke with shared their view about how horrible their breakfast spread was.

Being an X-Hotelier myself, at the end of the day the service matters even if the property has technical issues, whereby staying in Dayang Bay they definitely were successful to give me a horrible memory on my vacation to langkawi.

The kids pool was great for my 6 year old, good dining options around the hotel and a convienient 7/11 across the road. The rooms were clean, however we had so many tiny ants so couldn’t leave any food or drinks out, opened or unopened. Would stay here again as it’s good value for the cost.

Location wise, it's in middle of attractions (which means need 20-30 mins taxi to go to airport , cenang beach, mangrove tour point, skybridge etc) , but having enough shopping, food options near by walking as well.

I arrived at 1pm but the staff didn’t allow me to check in, telling me all the rooms are occupied and I asked him “are u sure” but he didn’t say anything. Later on when I checked in, I asked him for an ocean view room, he said no with same excuse all the rooms are full. And no one helped me with luggage even i carried 3 pieces in hands with a big luggage. Facilities are outdated

Check in was ok,, Room safe is not working I called several time to come and fix it, until I checked out no one showed up. Lots of ants in the room, ironing and laundry room are far from the actual rooms. No water inside the room you are required to fill water from outside which is totally unconvinced. Buffet breakfast has a limited choices it does not accommodate foreigner taste.

I highly enjoyed my stay at Dayang Bay Resort. The location is quite convenient as there is a 7-11, a minimart, places to eat just opposite of the resort.
There was gym, a daycare, and spa on the resort itself which me and family enoyed.
The room was spacious enough for us. However, there were some stains on the towels and toilet but we weren't too bothered by it as the rest of the room was very clean.
The staff were helpful and friendly.
I would recommend this resort.

Beautiful pool and view, nothing else right

First I'll acknowledge that the view is absolutely stunning and the children's pool is perfect for the little ones, with shade on the slides in the morning and late afternoon. My two toddlers loved these slides.
Upon check-in, our luggage was loaded onto a trolley and we were given key and directions to the room. There we waited for our luggage. And waited. And waited. I went downstairs after a while and our luggage was on the floor, next to the concierge's desk, who watched me pick up all our suitcases and head to the lift.
Our room had no towels so when I went downstairs, I asked reception for towels. \"Sure, we'll send them right up!\" We headed to the pool, thinking the towels would be there waiting for us after. No. I had to call reception and ask again.
Breakfast buffet isn't good, with nothing fresh. The children's club is closed (probably Covid related- understandable), but the babysitting services advertised on Hotels.com do not exist. The sofa bed is incredibly uncomfortable and we could barely sleep, especially given how much light and sound the doors let in. We actually ended up leaving the hotel two nights before we were supposed to, to find a hotel where sleep was a possibility and food was decent.

Extremely disappointing. I booked an executive deluxe room which was listed as 344 Square feet. The room was shabby and overlooking a swamp. WiFi and TV not working. After complaining I moved to a better room with better views. The power points were not working and couldn't charge my phone. The television turned off every 45 minutes. At the time of my booking the discount was 75% off. The 250 RM that I paid was a rip off.

We stayed in a double room suite the view was amazing the pool was OK.
The breakfast could have been more better though it was very crowded.
Rooms were cleaned everyday nicely. The staff was gentle.
Would like to highlight on checking in the hotel will keep a 220 Myr deposit and a 15 myr per day tourist tax.
Just outside the hotel there are 24/7 shops which is good to buy essentials.
The mosquitoes were a problem so please be prepared if you are looking to book a room.

The hotel is mainly caters to the Asian and Middle Eastern markets. Rent a car in Langkawi to get around. The hotel is not walking distance to anything. However, the pool is great as it's massive. You will need to go out for your meals which is o if you have a car.

Ive traveled to many places around the world and visited many hotels and by far this one was the worst. Very unprofessional and rude employees. They dont care about their customers, arrived at 11PM after a long flight and kept us waiting in the loby for 2 hours not taking into consideration our comfort and how tired we are. They had a problem in their system and made us wait with rude attitude not trying to help us in any way or get us a room as soon as possible until they fix their problem (even though we had booked a week in advance).

Rooms are spacious but basic, need upgrading. Pool area and kids pool very nice. Front desk staff were lovely, other staff not so much (ie. couldn't get a pool towel mid-day; was told by a staff member who didn't bother to put down his newspaper that they were all in the laundry and I'd just have to wait). Turkish restaurant on the promises very nice with staff who went out of their way for us. Restaurant hotel closed except for breakfast which was very crowded with Chinese tourists.

The property is easily approachable and drivers understood well how to reach here. The swimming pool and the play areas are really fun for all kids and family. Enjoyed the breakfast too.
The room may not be very impressive as per the price being charged. The furniture is old and the paint looks worn off too. The bathrooms are not modern at all.

Good budget hotel. Great infinity pool and view of the ocean. Sunrises are beautiful here. Staff is friendly and helpful although language barriers can be an issue. They have free use of pool table and ping pong as well which we took advantage of. The food at the local restaurants is exceptional. Small restaurant across the road from the hotel made the best samosas we have eaten to date. Great roti as well.

During our one week there, I researched A LOT for our stay in MALAYSIA! This hotel turned out to be a hidden treasure and I can't believe everything we got for such a low price! We were considering booking the Dejaya/Westin with the cost being 10x more but we're so glad we went with this. If we ever go back, we'll stay here again without a doubt and I've recommended this hotel to all friends/family. BEST HOTEL IN LANGKAWI AND PHENOMENAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!
