Very old, dirty hotel. First they gave us room with cigarettes smell, we asked for other room. They gave very old and dirty room. Toilet yellow, shower silicon yellow and black corners, the smell in the room is bad.

Definitely worth considering.. Brisbane, Australia

This hotel was perfect for my stay.. I have a boat close by on the small resort island of Rebak.. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a quiet hotel away from the town centre.. The hotel is inexpensive and great value.. With the savings, you could rent a car for your entire vacation whick gives you unlimited access to the whole hotel.. The staff could not be more helpful and efficient. Even though it may not be the Westin Excelsior on Via Veneto, the rooms are large, comfortable and clean.. Breakfast is substancial wirh cereal, toast, fried eggs to your choice, rice, various curries (changing daily) etc... Better than a continental breakfast. Have already recommended tjis hotel, the Bella Vista, to the yachting community..Thank you to the super staff and management.. they went the extra mile.. I appreciated it..even the beautiful icecream delivered to me with a note of thanks..

We apologise for our initial negative feedback, and I’d just like to thank the staff for their incredible kind gestures the last few days.
We acknowledge that the issues with the Tv channels, as well as the noise, is not the staffs fault in any way and they tried so hard to make it up to us that we even extended here with them.

Wardrobe is rotten, paint in the room peeling off, TV is spoilt but no one cares until I reported. The hotel changed another TV though, but maintenance staffs left screws behind on the table, and table was not wiped clean after they do their work. Door safety/security latch does not lock

The worst experience ever !!!!!!!

If i could I would give this hotel -6 stars. The hotel is out in nowhere. There is absolutely nothing within walking distance. I have never seen anything this disgusting. We found cockroaches in the room and bathroom. when we asked to change the room it was not possible, even though there was plenty of rooms available. when we asked for a spray to kill the cockroaches, we were told that was not a service they provided. They tried to offer us another superior room after 2 days of nonstop complaining, for double the price and with exactly same condition. hotels like these should not even be available on international hotel websites. absolutely disgusting and horrible service !!!!!!

Not worth the price

The mattress provided in the room is really bad it has been few days after the stay and my back is still hurting. Plus the hotel pool is dirty but the pictures provided in this site shows that it is a really nice pool and the hotel cafe is filled with flies, mosquito and aedes mosquito so you can't have your breakfast in peace and the hotel staff doesn't mind that cats walk into the cafe and the cafe's kitchens it is do unhealthy and disgusting because the play with the cats and then they use the same hands to cook and surf your food.

Nice hotel, a good value for Money

Nice with car as there is no market or food place at walking distance... Ample parking, big rooms, quiet n peaceful. However blanket, pillows and bedsheets were not very good quality and need to improve.
It's close to airport and most attractions at langlawi.
Overall a good value for money.

Swimming pool algae ridden mess

The swimming pool was unswimable and a health and safety risk due to algae coating all the walls and floor. When asked politely to make it swimable for hotel guests, a half attempt was made with a hose and scoop, but not a lot of change to the water quality. If the swimming pool is not usable then the hotel should not advertise as to having a swimming pool. When asked if we could be compensated for 2 child breakfasts (who ate almost nothing anyway) as a good will gesture, the answer was a smile and \"No\". After having booked 3 rooms for 3 nights, I feel this lack of customer service is unacceptable. Will not be staying there again, or advising any friends to do so either.

Not comfortable at all, rooms, ambience, lobby was shady and not worth the money we paid for it. More importantly the wifi was only in the lobby and made life even more difficult. Very limited menu for breakfast....almost nothing.

If your renting a bike/car.it can be good. We found staff was accommodating- but pool needs cleaning,and hotel need some work done. Close to the airport- island is small with a vehicle you can see it all!

2 night stay with le familia

im staying for 2 nights with my family. meaning we have booked 4 rooms. im not sure their thought about staying in your hotel. as for me,im staying in room 371. the air-conditioning a bit disappointing me because it very slow to cool the room. especially when we enter the room, need to wait for a longer time to feel cold. secondly, during our stay, tv channel were not OK at all due to some maintenance i think. next, the hair dryer cannot be used. it have to be changed as if it will blow up when i turn On the switch. bathroom was OK but no syampoo provided and etc. not many choices menu for breakfast. but still the food was good and nice and also the staff were so friendly. the location is nearer with airport which is good because we travel by air and also not very far with other places. its not that bad but can improve some more. however, i enjoy my stay at your hotel!!

The hotel had a great location, near the airport and convenient to drive out towards the famous Cenang Beach and SkyCab Oriental Village. The rooms were clean, good breakfast, friendly staff and prompt as well. Value for money is probably the key highlight of our stay. Everything was great. However, it would be better if they could issue at least two key cards to the room.

Rooms were clean,although the lobby was not that proper. The WiFi was just provided in lobby which hasn't any air condition. The hotel was far from almost everything and you couldn't walk anywhere just the front beach which was not good for swimming and bit dirty.

The Langkawi Rider

Nice hotel with great staff my room was clean . The downside is the wifi which is only available in the lobby. The lobby does not have aircon and therefore you're sweating your self off . The other downside is that there does not seem to be any civilisation nearby i.e you cannot purchase anything in any shops as there is not any . if you really need to your going to have to go to town which is 30 bahts.

Convenient for the Airport - Friendly staff

Hotel was great for a quick stay with very friendly helpful staff, but with little to offer in terms of facilities.

There was no bar, and no attraction that would encourage any socialising in the evening. This hotel is located along a coast road, but no beach nor other resort activities. If you want to occupy your evening you need to get a cab to another resort.

The wifi did not reach the bedrooms which was very inconvenient.

The hotel was very convenient for the airport and the exhibition center there.

Dirty rooms, poorly maintained...

Stayed at this hotel during my recent holiday in Langkawi and the rooms were spacious but dreadfully dirty. The floor felt oily and the bathroom floors were dirty. The pool had white stuff floating in. The lack of basic toiletries (i.e. soap) was also very disappointing. For a room with two people staying they only provided one 500ml bottle of mineral water.

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Near to beach and tranquil environment.

Hotel is near to airport. I rented a car and stayed in this hotel for 4 days three nights. The location is ideal and cleanliness is satisfactory. About the breakfast provided also acceptable but the hotel should cater for vegetarian travellers as well.

Air conditioner was too noisy - room was smelly

I hardly slept on the first night as the air-conditioner was too noisy. There were sounds of something breaking up in the blower. In the morning I saw water dripping from the indoor unit. The air conditioner unit also turned off by itself several times at night.

didn't enjoy staying in this hotel. Hotel condition was bad, no internet access. We requested for a double bed room and the reception allocated us with 2 single beds. The beds were in bad condition & have sound while we slept on it. Not recommend this hotel for couple stay.

This is not the same as the Bella Vista Hotel at Kuah Town. Actually I booked this hotel by mistake. Please be careful that you want to book this one which is near the airport but far from the town centre. There is not store, restaurant or mall nearby. I highly recommend you book another Bella Vista Hotel at Kuah Town.

Two Bella Vista Hotels in Langkawi

Did a big mistake by assuming this is \"Bella Vista Hotel\" in Kuah, Langkawi. They must atleast mention \"Bella Vista ONE\" & \"Bella Vista TWO\" sothat the public can see very clearly that there are 2 Bella Vista hotels. They know it well but not the public. (or else they are doing it knowingly for a hidden reason). There was NO \"Bella Vista\" word seen in the hotel building except in the front of the building, it was written as \"INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE\" (or some College). NO where did I see \"Bella Vista\" mentioned. I have stayed a few times at the \"Bella Vista\" in Kuah town. Actually I took some foreign visitors to Langkawi & told them that this hotel (\"Bella Vista\" in Kuah town) is a good hotel & their breakfast is very good with \"Beef Bacon\" which I have not seen in any other hotels. (I travel quite a bit) & highly recomended to them but it was a big blow to me. (I did not know where to put my face when we went for breakfast). I am very disappointed & ashame. It's not only my reputation but the hotel's too. This hotel is also very far from Kuah town. (about 20km) but near the airport. The reception area was smelly at times. (take note that you can rent a vehicle for a less price during off seasons like non school holidays, non festivals etc. a Toyota Vios RM 120/= during school holidays etc & RM 80/= non school holidays).

This is a fairly good 3 star hotel.

Staff are friendly mix of Malay, Indonesia & Nepalese. Happy to help. My bath door squeeked. Fazli fixed it immediately . He also fixed a tap leak which had been the result of poor installation by contractor. Breakfast offerings were minimal but if you ask nicely they'll do you fried tomatoes/ mushrooms / eggs the way you like them. My advice to Hotel owner is invest some money in this project & ask if he would find the current standard acceptable to his liking! Pool area needs additional Shaded areas from intense sun. It lacks chairs & tables. The pool shower needs upgrading. So easy to do! In the final analysis ok for low- mid budget travellers.

THE HOTEL WAS A LITTLE OVER HYPED. I EXPECTED A LOT MORE FROM THE HOTEL AND PROBABLY OVER THAT WAS THE LET DOWN. THE HOTEL IS LOCATED CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT AND IS OK VALUE FOR THE PRICE. APART FROM THAT NOT MUCH TO RAVE ABOUT. THE ROOM WAS OK. EVERYTHING ABOUT IT WAS JUST SATISFACTORY.

Nice hotel, Nice people with delicious breakfast

We stayed at Bela Vista Hotel Langkawi for 4 nights (Aug 2013). The hotel staff is very much friendly and helpful as they were all teenagers. They gave us room number 117, which had a nice pool view from balcony. Room was far way spacious, nicely decorated and well maintained. No complaints at all. Split A/C seemed to be small with size of room but in 10 minutes, it chilled.

Washroom was also very clean, no insects found at all. Room service was sincere, we never found anything missing, even though sometimes we missed our some valuable items out of the provided locker.

On walking distance, there is a beach across the hotel.

Daily we got new menu breakfast which was all deliciously cooked. One day we got late for breakfast, but I was amazed that they served fresh breakfast once again even before 10 minutes of closing time. Kitchen staff was so professional that they asked us before rolling food items back that if we are done or not.

These small things make difference and all of them made our stay more pleasant and beautiful. Thanks everyone. We will recommend and for sure will come back.

I had stayed for 4 night in the hotel, it was not clean, the hygine of the hotel personnel is to the lowest standard, the breakfast that was serviced was really very limited to be mainly the asian food, so it you can't eat the kind of food you had lost you money, hotel personnel can't understand or speak English, so it was very difficult to deal with them, the hygine of the food was very bad as for example we found some flies over the fruits in the breakfast. The rooms was not clean and they don't offer except only 2 towels, also the hotel does not give 2 keys for the room, as I had stayed with my wife and each of us needed a key and the hotel refused, the parking of the hotel was noot safe at all

nothing good to praise this hotel. the hotel looks new but not really maintained. the up keeping was bad. the bathroom is stained yellowish brown probably cleaning staff not doing a proper job. the hotel is also short of staff and no facilities. i check in the hotel but there was no towels and kettle. had to stay for three nites cos i paid in advanced...very disappointed indeed. it was the same like Bella Vista in Kuah Town which i stayed 3 years ago. The up keeping and maintainence was bad also.

Pros and Cons

Pros: Very close to the airport and a good bargain for a budget traveler. Staff was friendly. Cons: The ocean is across the street but it is not located in an area where there is public access. For that, you have to drive or spend 10 RMB for a taxi to go the Cenang Beach (sp?). The staff was friendly but I'm not sure if they will go out of their way to help. We brought food and drinks back to our room to place in the refrigerator. However, after learning that the refrigerator was not working, we called around 10:30 or so in the evening to get it checked. A nice man tried to fix it but it did not turn on right away so I later went down to have the items stored in their kitchen refrigerator to pick up the next morning. On doing so the next morning, the staff kept checking in their lobby shelves for the food and drinks but did not take the proper step to check in their kitchen refrigerator instead, despite a couple requests from me. They seemed to be more bothered by the fact there was not a note from the night man more than going through the steps to find our items so we never did end up getting our items back. Really...we brought the items down to be stored in a cool place so why they kept checking uncooled places was a question mark for me. Could have been a language barrier though. Also, called for a wake up call, which was confirmed, but did not recieve one. All in all, not a bad place to stay on a budget.

One night stay close to the airport

The hotel was built as a luxury hotel and became somewhat dilapidated, I guess it would need much investment to recover. However, with the price tag offered the place was not a bad choice either. As a bonus, quite nice swimming pool. No more luxury, wearing visible in many places, but could be acceptable for a one night stay. Breakfast very basic.

Boka ej, inte värt det billiga priset.

Bokade hotellet för sin närhet till Langkawis flygplats. Av bilderna att döma såg det okej ut, samt prisvärt. Men på plats inser man att det är ett slitet hotell. Poolen ser bra ut på bilderna, men i verkligheten är den inte bra. Vår familj var ense om att när det byggdes var det förmodligen tipp topp (känns som minst 20/25 år sedan), men nu lägger dom inte nånting på underhåll utan fixar endast akuta lösningar.

Bra för en natt, vi kom från Langkawi och skulle flyga morgonen efter. Dög som övernattningshotell. Inte så fräscht badrum, var hål i taket och droppade från det. Wi-fi funkade inte på rummet. Helt ok annars.

Hôtel au bord du gouffre! Fuyez! On l'a pris apres un séjour ds un autre établissement plus cher mais comme il se trouve à 5 minutes de l'aéroport pour un vol tôt le matin! On a préféré payer moins cher juste pour dormir! L'hôtel est sale! Pas de clientèle! Le
Staff est gentil, plein de bonnes volonté et conseils! Ils nous ont même proposé d'ouvrir le restaurant 30 min avant pour nous servir le petit déjeuner! Délicate attention! Rien aux alentours! Pas de restaurants! Un scooter s'impose si vous voulez profiter de cette superbe île!!!

near to the airport

We stayed there just to take the ferry to Koh Lipe next day. Near from airport but not in walking distance. Taxi fare was 16-18 MYR one way. Photos on hotels.com were wrong. They were the photos of other hotel which has the same name. Room was spacious but the sheet and towels were a little dirty.
