Check in was at 4 (which was super necessary as we had a 5pm event to get to). But when we arrived to our room at 4 the room still wasn’t ready with the door open seeing the mattress folded, hearing the bathroom get cleaned (even though check out is 11a). At this point we had to ask for another room but the only and last option was a double full(?) rather than the king we reserved. There is very little light in the rooms and it felt lightly cleaned where obvious, and still pretty dirty. Stains on the shower curtain and rust in the tub. Hair ties and trash on the carpet under the sink. Hard to open and close the closet. Poor amenities. “Breakfast” looked like a concession stand. I’m really glad we stayed here because we are getting married close by soon and we will no longer be recommending this hotel to our guests.

The room was dated but we expected that based on other reviews. The pool was very nice, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was actually great which we didn’t expect. A bit of rust in our bathtub didn’t look great but the rooms were clean, beds comfortable and was overall a good experience.

Excellent location! Property was clean and amenities were great! Room was very big and had microwave and refrigerator and large balcony with comfy chairs. Breakfast was included and had hot options as well as standard continental. We will definitely be back and would recommend this property to friends and family.

Staff are more than available .. 24/7 so kind and caring and get things done .. the property is old school .. older building is solid wide cement walkways .. vintage turquoise cute fountain in the middle all levels can hear .. the newer building fabulous balcony’s the ocean is 2 blocks away rooms face it .. all rooms are huge .. updated counters just perfect .. parking is right there in cute alcoves all charm … I now come here regularly!

It's an older property, but generally looked well maintained. Our room was clean. Didn't use pool but it looked ok. The weakest point was the breakfast which was very limited. But overall our stay feels like a good value

The rooms were awful, nothing like the photos shown on web site. They put us in a dark corner room where the ice maker and laundry room was and it was so loud. We asked to be moved to another room and they said they were booked but when my son was checking in (he had the adjoining room) they put him in a different room. Breakfast was a jimmy dean frozen sandwich that a woman microwaved for us. Had the typical waffle maker that the woman also did for you. Bath tub had the enamel peeling off of it and did not drain well at all, standing in a tub of water while showering, toilet kept filling unless you played with the handle. We were in town for a function and most of our family stayed in very nice hotels for a better price. We picked this based on the reviews and photos on their website, I would really like to know who is giving these 5 star reviews on their website.

The breakfast menu was fresh but very repetitious. Should at least change it up a bit for week ends.
Rooms are dated. Need to refresh, get rid of carpet.
Air conditioning was so so. Rooms are dark and since the window overlooks the walking area couldn't leave curtains open. I ould not stay there again under the current conditions.

Cute place. Older hotel but well maintained. Staff was friendly and attended to our needs as requested. Good location, near the pier and all the restaurants my husband wanted to visit. He’s a San Clemente native so this place fit the bill for him to stay in town and hit all his highlights. Would stay again!

We had a wonderful experience at Casablanca Inn. All the staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast had a variety of choices that were all delicious. We wanted to extend our stay and they did just that and went above and beyond and matched our previous price. It is in a great location, with lots to do around it, family friendly too. I would definitely reccomend this place.

My room wasn’t ready for 40 minutes but they let me do a late check up to make up for it. Room was clean but there were a few questions spots on the wall that were dirty. They were understaffed when I checked in but the cleaning ladies were super nice. Breakfast was good but I wish I had known to bring cash for a tip because someone makes it for you, this is great! The WiFi worked great and the netted bath tub was excellent.

It's small cozy place near the beach. The breakfast is really good. Room is not fancy but ok. The pool was NOT heated and it was a disappointing. Other than that it's nice place to stay for lower prices.

Very clean, wonderful staff, plenty of free parking, all the amenities you could need, hot shower great water pressure, including full breakfast but most of the rooms are not as updated as the pictures. Very old carpet, stained cloth chairs, & loud AC unit could hardly keep up. The bathroom was clean & worked well but just felt dingy because of all the stains, rust & old fixtures.

Cute little hotel with very nice staff. However, the noise level was insane and i barely slept the three nights i had booked for a work trip; door slams from the neighbors, the upstairs neighbors walking, and some loud mystery sound that repeated every ten seconds, and the ice machine... also, I didn’t take advantage of the breakfast; was pretty much just waffles/bread items and coffee with coffee mate pods. Unfortunately had to purchase breakfast and coffee elsewhere.

Staff is friendly. However, we stayed here 7 years ago and it looks like the room hasn’t been updated at all in that time. Both the door to the outside and the balcony do not seal completely. Letting light and air in. Tub had rust around the drain and black mold in different spots. The hot tub was green. Pool was freezing and had a decent amount of rust around the stairs to enter. Only highlight is location in relation to the beach, and the breakfast. Nice staff as well. Most likely won’t stay here again.

Our room was large and clean. Bed was comfortable. The furniture in the room needs updated - desk chair was very, very worn and the TV/microwave/fridge cabinet was, as well. We paid for a balcony room , but our view was a wall. The curtains were falling apart. The hallways and staircases haven't been swept or mopped in ages. There was dirt and debris all over. The floor of the elevator needs a good scrubbing, at the very least. There was no lotion in our room - when we asked for some at the front desk, they just shrugged amd looked at one another. The breakfast options are quite limited - and it's not a help- yourself situation. No eggs or meat, - only microwaved sandwiches, toast, or a waffle which are handed to you. Our stay was adequate, but we expected better.

big, clean room, satisfactory breakfast, only some rooms were renovated, our room was an old one and the equipment was used up, in not too good condition. the swimming pool is closed at 9, gym is well-equipped but very dirty and the smell is irritating. Most of pictures are taken in the renowated rooms which is very confusing because the facility does not look that good

Separate sink and vanity outside the bathroom was not my preference. One nightstand for two beds. Tub drain backed up, but they fuxed that. One night I had NO hot water for a bath, shower. Disappointed
The libby had coffee and tea, with a water dispenser. That was nice. Breakfast was pre-made processed food I couldn't eat, except fruit. For the price, it was adequate.

Staff were great and helpful. Always polite and kind. Rooms had some mold/mildew on walls. Pool heater was broken and we were told it’s been broken “a couple of months” but I had a feeling it’s been a lot longer than that. We had issue with a non guest getting into pool area to shower and use hot tub but the manager handled it with grace and kindness. Breakfast was complimentary but the facilities for it and the options (some from packages and reheated) were limited. The fresh waffles were good and there was lots of avocado toast. There was fresh fruit, yogurt etc. Just manage your expectations. We stayed 7 nights and had breakfast 4 mornings. The inn was in good proximity to many fun things (if not typical - we did our research) to do and we had a great time. The inner courtyard and pool area were lovely if just a bit tired. Rooms were also on the tired side. 2.5 stars for physical building. Staff were 4-5 star.

The hotel’s location is wonderful—just two blocks from the beach and the ocean, which made the stay very convenient and enjoyable. The General Manager was amazing, and the entire staff was highly professional and attentive throughout my visit. The breakfast was generous and very well prepared, adding great value to the overall experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again on my next visit.

drains in both sink and tub were very slow. In fact, I had to hold the tub drain up with my hand to get it to drain. Notified office next day and they said they would send handyman. There was no note or other indication as to whether anyone actually came. Second day/night the problem remained.

The fist thing I did was check the bed... only to find that the linens had not been changed since the last guests slept there. They were crumpled, smeared with mascara & smelled of perspiration. I took a damp cloth and the mascara stains wiped off easily; a clear sign that these linens had not vern washed since someone wearing makeup had been wiping their face on them. I slept fully clothed on a naugahyde couch because I was NOY going to risk getting into that bed. I took photographs within a few minutes of checking in. I am shocked that Expedia recommended such s hotel. Either nobody washes the bed clothes, or after the maids make the bed, someone is either loaning them out or renting out the rooms by the hour. I would be happy to share the photographs. But I have used Expedia for the ladt time.
