Place was kinda run down, remote to tv was disgusting. TV was very very old and color was off. The fridge did not even work at all. The carpet was very gross and sticky feeling. It did have a nice little balcony and the bed was decent. All in all not worth the price.

My room smelled like mildew and the floor felt damp. When I turned on the AC, it also had a musty smell. We only stayed one night, so I told the staff on my way out and the front desk said he’d have maintenance look at it.

This place looks nice on the outside, unfortunately the inside of the rooms needs some work. Our bathroom tub was old and had some mold or black residue and had a smell.The containers of shampoo and conditioner and body wash are nice but ours the conditioner was empty and not a lot of product come out .

The woman at the front desk switched us to a single queen bed room even though we had booked and paid in advance for a single king bed room. When I went back to the front desk to complain, she tried to convince that she gave me an upgrade by downgrading the bed size. She was rude and unprofessional.

It’s the location to the beach/pier and downtown that is probably the best recommendation. Easy walk to beach and free trolley (about 2 blocks)
There is only 1 elevator and 1 stairs - not convenient if you’re located all the way around the building as happened for me. But, doable.
The room is clean but looks worn… Levelor blinds didn’t work, furniture scratched and chipped, rust around the drain in the bathtub. Pillows looked like they’d been washed too many times and were a lumpy mess.
But, the building is secure and the stay was quiet.
Breakfast is a fair offering and clean seating inside and patio outside. The server was very pleasant.
Overall I rate 6/7 out of 10. This is a good option for families, young adults and those without mobility concerns.

When I first walked into my room, I could smell very strong mildew. I walked around and saw mold growing on the ceiling in the bathroom and also in the main room. It was pretty excessive mold growth. I told the front desk and they moved me to another room. The other room didn't smell like mildew and I didn't see any mold, so was fine. Then I opened the window in main room and the screen flew off the window. I attempted multiples to put the screen back on the window, however it kept flying off. I felt unsafe to leave the window open since the screen was not secure.

The breakfast has a lot of options, and someone makes the foods you want. That part was a pleasant experience.

No body soap on arrival (refilled 2nd day), broken toilet paper holder (never repaired), noisy AC, too much traffic noise from Camino Real to sleep with windows open. \"Full breakfast\" consisted of a handful of cheap quality items (Yoplait yogurt, tasteless except for a bolus of salt guacamole mix served as an \"avocado toast\", or a waffle from a powdered mix, and some overripe bananas) served by a server. It wasn't edible the first morning so we ate elsewhere the second. Our last night before an early morning departure the following day there was a very loud wedding party in the room next door that the receptionist on duty didn't do anything about until 11PM when the manager came by. Overall we were not impressed and won't be back.

I loved how welcoming the staff were, how nice the pool area was, how many breakfast options there were, and mostly just the overall vibe of the place. It is in such a nice area, suprisingly walkable to both the beach, shops, and places to eat/get coffee. It is essentially the kind of place you want to stay to get the classic California feeling. Also great parking availability. I genuinely cannot wait to go back!

Another resort property that has been upgraded with new room and bathroom fixtures but still not quite 4- or 5-star level. Shooting for a boutique feel but not quite there. The amenities, like free breakfast., were a nice touch but not quite up to even a Holiday Inn standard but not for lack of trying. Being close to the beach was a big plus and parking on the property was free and plentiful. All in all, good value for the price and location.

But have to give a shoutout to the Jacob and Adiranna who went beyond the call of duty to help us. When I returned home, I discovered that I had left an expensive gold watch in my room safe. They answered our urgent call for help right away. Searched the room and recovered my watch. Then they organized getting it shipped to me via UPS. Can't say enough about their integrity and honesty. Bravo!

This hotel is cute and comfortable. I booked a 2 night stay for a romantic weekend with my boyfriend. We got the deluxe, upgraded room. It was nice and clean. The staff is what makes this property a real winner. Very kind, attentive and willing to help make your experience enjoyable.

The Casablanca Inn did not find my confirmed reservation from Expedia. We were not given a room. We had to find lodging elsewhere. I am asking Expedia for a refund, but can't find a person to help me. Something failed on this reservation. Perhaps I should have booked directly.

This property needs some major updating. The toilet paper was three feet from the toilet. The bathroom sink drain needed cleaning. The bathtub/shower was rusty. It needed painting. The drapes for the window closure were broken. It is seriously showing its age..there are no USP ports to charge phones.

The room was clean. Note that if you reserve through a third party they will give you the least desirable room. I requested an early check in at 2pm. When I checked in they had just finished cleaning the room so the whole room smelled like bleach. I opened all the windows but that did not help. I was able to switch rooms. So I
had my 2 dogs with me but I had to step out for a few minutes for the hotel breakfast. The manager called me and was so rude. I'm like did he forget that the hotel allowed dogs and that dogs actually bark? He asked if I was off the property without explaining what the call was about. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable. It was the strangest way to start off a phone call. So he continued to say people complained that my dogs were barking for an hour which was not true at all. He could've explained it without being rude and not assume that my dogs were left alone for an hour. He really seemed like he did not like his job. Even before the call. He lacked customer service skills. No smile or anything and standoffish or unapproachable. I was surprised to find out he was actually the manager. The gentleman at the front desk helped me switch rooms and also phoned me to let me know that the room was ready. He was very friendly and accommodating. Honestly the manager seemed to not be very people friendly at all.

Location, location, location! We walk to dinner and the beach.

Convenient on-site parking, well maintained, and very clean common areas. Our room was comfortable, and we appreciated the doorstops on the entry doors. Breakfast was continental, with the wide variety of fresh fruit. staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you.

I was so excited to stay at the Casablanca just to get there and find out the pictures shown on their website were so deceiving not at all what you are getting. We had mold in our bathroom, carpets were filthy gross, glad I had slippers to wear couldnt bare to walk on the carpet without them. Breakfast was not at all what is described. All the \"fixings to make a breakfast sandwich\" is a different vision then a warmed up jimmy dean croisant sandwich coming out of the microwave. The gym is extremely small, the equipment doesn't work its very old. In fact we had to go find a different gym to use while there because it was so bad. Zero ventilation throughout the entire place which is likely why there is mold. Im not one to write reviews or complain which is also the reason we didnt say anything at the time of our stay, but my husband is now very sick and its obvious its from the condition of our room and the mold. His symptoms started the day we left. I wish I could recommend this place and would have liked to use them in the future as we do frequent the area but I can't do that. If you say you offer something then do it don't glorify it in a description and then give the dollar store version once you bait your people in. Thats exactly how this experience felt. Sadly I don't have pictures to share cause like I said Im not the kind of person to complain.

Location was perfect. I had a deluxe room, which is one of the properties renovated rooms. However, I found black pieces of something in the need sheets. Not sure what they were, but it made for an unpleasant experience. The tub/shower had hairs in it, so I was to assume that it wasn’t cleaned properly between the last guest and my arrival.

Great older property. We were in a double queen room with balcony. These rooms haven’t been renovated yet. Completely functional; comfortable beds; plenty of pillow options; fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. Super value for the price we paid. Very happy with our stay. Breakfast room is small, but last who staffs it is wonderful. Try the avocado toast

Bed was comfortable, the jetted tub was bigger than I expected, very relaxing.
The only recommendations I'd make is to put phone charging pads in the rooms, as most Hotels are doing this now. Also, they have a new wing, it just needs signs directing you.

We stayed in the new part of the hotel which was a converted office building and it faced the Main Street. We were told the traffic dies down at night but it never really did. Needless to say the traffic noise was too much and had a horrible night sleep. I would not stay here again.

Check in was at 4 (which was super necessary as we had a 5pm event to get to). But when we arrived to our room at 4 the room still wasn’t ready with the door open seeing the mattress folded, hearing the bathroom get cleaned (even though check out is 11a). At this point we had to ask for another room but the only and last option was a double full(?) rather than the king we reserved. There is very little light in the rooms and it felt lightly cleaned where obvious, and still pretty dirty. Stains on the shower curtain and rust in the tub. Hair ties and trash on the carpet under the sink. Hard to open and close the closet. Poor amenities. “Breakfast” looked like a concession stand. I’m really glad we stayed here because we are getting married close by soon and we will no longer be recommending this hotel to our guests.

Staff are more than available .. 24/7 so kind and caring and get things done .. the property is old school .. older building is solid wide cement walkways .. vintage turquoise cute fountain in the middle all levels can hear .. the newer building fabulous balcony’s the ocean is 2 blocks away rooms face it .. all rooms are huge .. updated counters just perfect .. parking is right there in cute alcoves all charm … I now come here regularly!

The rooms were awful, nothing like the photos shown on web site. They put us in a dark corner room where the ice maker and laundry room was and it was so loud. We asked to be moved to another room and they said they were booked but when my son was checking in (he had the adjoining room) they put him in a different room. Breakfast was a jimmy dean frozen sandwich that a woman microwaved for us. Had the typical waffle maker that the woman also did for you. Bath tub had the enamel peeling off of it and did not drain well at all, standing in a tub of water while showering, toilet kept filling unless you played with the handle. We were in town for a function and most of our family stayed in very nice hotels for a better price. We picked this based on the reviews and photos on their website, I would really like to know who is giving these 5 star reviews on their website.

The breakfast menu was fresh but very repetitious. Should at least change it up a bit for week ends.
Rooms are dated. Need to refresh, get rid of carpet.
Air conditioning was so so. Rooms are dark and since the window overlooks the walking area couldn't leave curtains open. I ould not stay there again under the current conditions.

We had a wonderful experience at Casablanca Inn. All the staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast had a variety of choices that were all delicious. We wanted to extend our stay and they did just that and went above and beyond and matched our previous price. It is in a great location, with lots to do around it, family friendly too. I would definitely reccomend this place.
