The property is wonderful. The staff is not. There were several occasions that the staff was inattentive or outright ignored our request. If your there for a couple of days you will not notice it. But longer stays you can see. I will personally never book there again

Delightful Hotel

The Groves Suites was great choice for my first visit to Jakarta. The staff was over and beyond helpful (very friendly). It us located in a very nice area. And accessible to area tourist spots. I even discovered a Street Food Market across the street from the hotel. There's even a mall entrance connected to the hotel

The reason i choose to stayover here was the location. Strategic and close to the epicentrum walk which has minimarket & several choices of restaurants. The room was spacious. But the major problem was the bed. Bed linen looks like less clean, but I think it was okay. But i was wrong! My daughter & I could not sleep well because our bodies were itchy. Her thigh, feet and backs full of bumps. I even itch to the neck and chest. Very very UNCOMFORTABLE until the next 3 days (even though i only stayed for a night). The bed mites was too much! Errrr... very disappointed because the star (point review from others) was good enough. :(

A wonderful stay

Very pleasant stay in this hotel. Everything is perfect. Room is gorgeous with pool view, love the layout and it’s spacious. Afternoon tea is a delicious treat with various cakes and breakfast is even better.
What made it very special to me is that the staff paid attention to details and noticed my birthday on the day even though I didn’t mention anything upon check in. First they called my unit around 9pm and made sure I was in the room, and then viola they showed up in my door step and gave me the sweetest birthday cake I’ve ever had. Thank you so much to the staffs and I really had a wonderful and special stay in your hotel. I will most definitely return again in the future!!

Great Hotel Suite in Kuningan District

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The room was spacious and had all the facilities that we needed. It was clean and the bedding was great. The rooms and corridors were nice and quiet. Breakfast was alright and the selection were varied. The staffs were nice and the check-in/out process was a breeze. The location was one of the best in the area as the Epiwalk mall is located right next to it and has many food outlets to choose from. There is also a hospital located 2 minutes away should you need medical assistance or consultation. Would definitely recommend to other visitors in the Kuningan area.

Location location location - value for money

I stayed at the Grove Suites several years ago and it feels like a better hotel . The location suited my purposes as it is accessible from 3 roads, sits close by to good eateries and has a good mall 10 mins away .

I love it that some of the staff who were there before are still there now as that is a reflection of management .

The only negative though significant factor is the noise caused by the compressors of the air-conditioners which are badly positioned . For those in need of a quiet good night's rest , this is discomforting.

Spacious, Friendly Staff, Ideal for Business Trips

Spent 2 nights here in the two-room-suite by myself. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was adequate. The staffs were very welcoming and friendly. The \"mini-gym\" was exactly as its name suggested, so don't expect much of it. I will definitely stay here again for my future business trips in Jakarta.

I have stayed at Oakwood, JW Marriott, Ritz Carlton near this hotel. Those are clearly better, and they should be, because they are much more expensive to stay. For business trip, this hotel is much more than enough. Most things you need are already well ready. Very good value for money.

Loved. This place is fantastic - unless you've come for the shopping... Central to everything. Huge choice of local food within walking distance and a supermarket [Farmers Market] just a two minute walk. My only fault - the kitchenette is poorly equipped - but then - why cook - the local food is so reasonably priced. The room is massive - so be surprised.

The hotel is fine and the staff are pleasant. Unfortunately, it is far from sights of interest. It takes a long time to get anywhere in Jakarta because of the traffic jams, and tourists probably want a more central hotel. The Grove is also tucked away on a little side street with poor signage, so difficult to find.

Nice location but not so nice room

Stayed there for couple of days during my business trip in Jakarta. The staffs are friendly and helpful. It is just next to cinema and Starbucks. However it is disappointing to find the room that is allocated to me is kind of weird shape. Toilet is not that up to the standard. Resturants and room service food are not tasty. Last thing, the traffic around that around can be horrible at times.

Hotel situated in area where building work in progress or has been for some years. Don't thing any room will have a nice view. The rooms are very spacious and cleaned to a high standard. Taxi fares are cheap so easy to get anywhere in city at a low cost.

Overall was good but the my room is not yet ready when I check-in at 3:50 PM, it should have been ready by 2 PM.
Asked for extra bathrobe and LAN connection in the bookings but the items nowhere to be found when I checked in.
Room was spacious, food was good, kitchenette supply was adequate, but the view was not so good since there's construction all around the hotel.

Hotel is at the heart of town, easy if you are on a business trip. Else with horrific traffic of Jakarta, it's difficult to manoeuvre.
Lost indo currency 140k while leaving the wallet on the side table when came back after breakfast, obviously housekeeping make the room as i put the “clean my room” sign before leaving. Do not try the Spa, the quality of massage is not at all good. They charge you more with lesser time given for massage.
The bathroom spray was leaking and side of the bath tub was filled with water.

Excellent room layout with a sitting area & TV separate from the bed area & another TV. Excellent bedding! It was a pleasure to sit & read on the bed, and sleep, too. Delicious apples as a welcome gift, ample free water bottles in the kitchen and bathroom. Kitchenette nice, but no waste basket near it (had to go to the bathroom to throw things out). Bathroom cleanliness was questionable, dust on the shelves opposite the toilet, bathrobes did not seem to be washed completely (belt had a large black spot on the end, as if mouldy) so this needs to be addressed by the management. Otherwise, good value for money.

Stay ruined by bedbugs

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, but my experience was ruined by bedbugs. I was away from home for only two nights and only stayed at the Grove Suites. At lunchtime on check-out day I noticed itchy red welts appearing on my hands, face, neck and chest. Within a few hours there were around 50 extremely itchy bites. A check of the internet revealed that these were without doubt bedbug bites. (Definitely not mosquito bites or anything similar). On my return home, I informed the hotel. They took the matter seriously, responded respectfully, and fumigated the room, but said they did not find bedbugs. I am reluctant to write a negative review, as my overall stay was positive. However, following my stay I itched for days and had to take considerable care cleaning my luggage and suitcase to ensure the bedbugs didn't make their way into my home.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 days. It was a distance from the lobby to check-in desk but fine. Enjoyed services, locations, breakfast. Did not have time for a swim but looked appealing. Traffic could be intimidating but that is JAkarta.

Recently completed hotel. Staff is plenty all around but mostly incapable. Condo towers still under construction next door. Lot of dust and grime. Our room windows were disgustingly filthy outside. Breakfast buffet was understocked with almost all items. Overflow from standard eating area was thrown into conference rooms. Lastly 590.000 rp extra charge for a rolling kid bed?????? Half the price of the room? Appalling..... Even with proof that std luxury hotel charge anywhere between 250.000 and 375.000 hotel manager wouldn't reduce the charge. AS A RESULT ITS OUR FIRST AND LAST EVER STAY THERE.

Great for a quick business trip

I was in Jakarta for a single night and this hotel didn't fail to disappoint. It is in one of the main business districts in the city, with easy access to the train station (20min cab ride).

Check in was quick and easy, and the room did not disappoint. Had all the amenities one would except from a business hotel and importantly the bed was comfortable.

Breakfast was good and check out was quick and easy as well!

I'm not a regular traveler to Jakarta and found this hotel suite online. From the moment that I walked in I was greeted by friendly and considerate service. They anticipated many of my needs, including delivering fruits & cookies and servicing my room without intruding.
The suites were spacious and clean, allowing me to work in the room when needed. The morning breakfast had great local dishes as well as Western foods. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and would not hesitate to come back.
The only warning is that it is not located in the central district and the Jakarta traffic is hideous. So, be sure to know what area you want to be before choosing.

Convenient location, huge suites, great breakfast

Although we couldn't check in a lot earlier than 2pm (we arrived at 11am), the hotel quickly got us registered so we were able to check in quickly closer 1pm. The hotel is connected to a mall and a great supermarket so my husband and I had plenty of places to go have lunch before checking in. About a 10 min walk away is a great place for food - many options from Indian to Pizza Hut and McD. We also enjoyed the Bluegrass grill restaurant nearby with the most amazing steaks and drink selection. The included breakfast was a great deal and had many delicious options. The rooms were so comfortable and we just felt relaxed during our entire stay. This was our 2nd stay and we would definitely return again. It's a great deal for your money.

Wonderful stay at a new place

The hotel is a bit new so don't be surprised for uber drivers trying to find their way to it get lost. It's in a good part of town and there weren't many people during our stay despite it being a holiday. The pool is also enjoyable for kids. It has a shallow even depth of just 4 ft.
We love the layout of the room. And the kitchen was very useful. I just wish they had scissors.

So, this hotel looks overall nice with quite spacious room, great design, good location, correct prices.

But despite it was built recently, the construction quality is very weak. And the worst... AIR CON system is a pure disaster.
I've been sleeping there 3 times, as it looks nice as said, and prices are always attractive. But the Air Con units are really bad, all put in the ceiling, with the outside fans just beside the window close to the bed... which mean that if you put the living room and bedroom units on, there is a massive noise just 2m away from your head.
If you have a light sleep, stay away. I accommodate 3 times, won't be doing another one.
