The staff is hindered by the owner who is to afraid to face his patrons. He didn’t take care of needs of hotel in a timely manner. He tells his staff that he doesn’t want to deal with patrons. They are simply afraid to say things in fear of losing their job. They want to help but cannot. Great staff but terrible owner.. I tried to speak with him and he ignored me until I had a friend come that is known by many and is influential. But I would never recommend this hotel at its current state.. The sound is horrible.. I could hear the next people doing you know what. The listing is absolutely incorrect. The Air Conditioner does not work. The bathroom and showers are horrible. The soaps are terrible. I am sure there is mold all over the hotel and bed bugs as well..I don’t know why he didn’t fix the hotel and make customers feel welcome. He puts a front (fake personality) on. But doesn’t fix the issues. The employees say what they can. But he ignores them. I had bugs in my room, a horrible smell. I was moved to the room with bugs only to be sent back after the manager didn’t respond to messages. Just terrible l..
Basically they do not represent the Turkish people very well. They need to have someone give the owner a proper explanation and have some authority come to the hotel to report them. It is absolutely ridiculous and disgusting. I’m sure he is aware… I have much more to say..

COMPLAINT: Hotel was chosen specifically because it advertised an indoor pool sauna & steam room- these are all (as of May 2024) STILL BEING BUILT.
There is a basic gym but it is in a damp basement room.
Hotel stairs are UNSAFE - very steep with no handrails and poor lighting.
Very disappointed overall and i want a refund!

Reception was great & helpful. But there's no laundry service in the hotel, pool not working, not usable due to a cold water, electric ladder not working, rooms are not as you see them in the hotel webpage. The last thing is common problem with the hotels in Istanbul as they well know by scam and playing smart game with tourists. Also there's no spa as it should be according to the hotel webpage.

Scam! Don’t believe the photos you see. This hotel is terrible. Tiny room, bath room is less than 1mX2m which is insane!
This hotel does not deserve one star. I have been traveling for more than 10 years all over the world and I have never been scammed like that before!

Nice Classic Hotel

Nicely renovated classic hotel with good location near cafes restaurants and shop, few minutes’ walk to metro station, civaher mall and trump towers. The room is nicely decorated clean and tidy although small size, the reception and room service staff are responsive and helpful, they change sheets & towels whenever asked, recommended great value for money.

Staff unhelpful. Absolute chaos. Other guests complaining about various problems. Room small dark and stinky with window opening to a wall. Stains on walls. Carpet ripped. A/C not working and staff didn’t care. One small and squeaky elevator for the entire hotel. Breakfast 7:30 to 10:30, they ran out of food by 8:45. Terrible. Terrible.

I haven’t been able to stay and asked for refund as I had to leave the hotel and stay somewhere else

Avoid this hotel.

This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever been to. Sheets were not changed between customers, toilet had leftover feces. Room was too small to move around. You could hear people talking in the corridors past midnight. You can't find the hotel sign easily. Pictures displayed are nothing like reality.

This is the worst Hotel I have ever had an experience to stay in. Highly *NOT* recommended to stay at or book. I have NO idea, how this level of service beginning from the front office all the way up to cleaning could ever got a 4-star rating.

Had to spend there around 2-weeks due to business trip. Sadly, the cleaning service was not provided on daily basis. If provided -- either there was no towels change service or they was replaced with leaked towels! The front desk behaved as if I owe them something, totally NOT knowing what it means to provide a 4-star hotel service. (What is VERY disappointing for Turkey in general. This country is well known for their delicious food and very good service)

To sum up, I think this 4-star rating was gained by a Hotel fraudulently and again, *DO NOT* recommend spending even a single day there. Complete waste of money.

This is not a hotel, it is a prison to torture people. I stayed there for a week. Rooms are so small we did not have room for luggage. They never changed the bed. Staff are so inexperienced and rude. The toilet sink of the above unit leaked to our unit. Many many issues to complain. Do not go there.

beware of scams

I had to pay an extra $400 for new flights because the hotel staff tried t scam us. When we checked in we were offered early check in. Which is great but our room was missing some amenities. they brought the towels and soaps a short time after we got to our room. No mini bar ( but it did not matter Because we dont ever use the mini bar. UPON CHECK OUT THE GUY WOULD LET US LEAVE UNTIL WE PAID A VERY HIGH AMOUNT FOR MISSING MINI BAR ITEMS EVEN THOUGH WE NEVER GOT ANY. WE ARE WOMEN AND CANNOT FIGHT HIM. WE ENDED UP MISSING OUR FLIGHT and paying $400 for new flights.

All that glitters is not gold

The room we received for a full week wasn't large enough to turn around, with one small cabinet for our clothes. When I asked the manager for a larger room he laughed and said we should not have brought luggage. All night was the noise of live bands across the street and all day the drilling of construction two rooms down from us. There is no way to control the air conditioning, so the room was too hot. The breakfast was so bad we stopped going after two days. The hotel staff was uninterested except when they tried to charge me more money when we left. When I asked him to explain the additional charge, since we paid through Expedia, and he could not. So I did not pay.

Simple hotel in an accessible place

An excellent place to stay for sightseeing from.

I stopped here for 3 nights whilst visiting my son in July 2015. The rooms are not big, but it was everything I needed. I enjoyed fantastic breakfasts on the balcony of the 8th floor restaurant and all the staff were friendly and very helpful. I didn't spend much time in the area as my son and his girlfriend took me out to other parts of Istanbul. However the overall experience I had of this hotel and the cost made it a very pleasant stay. I would certainly stop there again.

White Monarch stay for 5 nights

It was a nice hotel overall but the room and the closet was tiny! I did not even have any room to open up my luggage to unpack. Also there was loud live music at the restaurant across the street until 4 am even on week nights! The breakfast was great as it was on the roof with a nice city view and good selection. The bed was very comfortable and clean. Also the staff there was very nice and helpful.

Unsere Buchung war anfangs nicht mal bei denen zu sehen.. Trotz Nachweis meiner Abrechnung und Buchung aus der App, mussten wir an der lobby sehr lange warten, die haben keine Lösung gefunden.. Wir durften erst nach langer Zeit auf's Zimmer.
Das Zimmer war viel kleiner als wie es auf den Bildern aussah. Die Tür von der Toilette war das letzte, die konnten sich die Türe ja direkt sparen. Man konnte ja alles durchsehen.. Unpraktisch und richtig unangenehm. Wir waren direkt nach unserer Ankunft im hotel unterwegs, kamen gegen Abend zurück ins Hotel. Erst dann sah ich das meine Bettdecke orangene schwarze Flecken hatte, als wir die Mitarbeiter für einen neuen Bezug ansprachen, haben die uns nicht mal einen neuen Bezug geben wollen, bis wir sagten, wir verlassen dann sofort das Hotel.... Muss das wirklich sein... Zimmerreinigung war ebenso schlecht. Das stück Kaffe Pulver das mir am Morgen auf dem Boden viel war immernoch auf der selben Stelle.. Und noch viel mehr..
Im ganzen :
-> Dieses Hotel war das erste und letzte mal für uns... Niee wieder.

Hotel a fuir vraiment personnel pas aimable du tout, accueil nul service nul ils m'ont donner une chambre au 1 etage ou la serrure etait cassée ensuite ils m'ont proposer une chambre sans fenetre ou il faisait tout noir vraiment a eviter j'ai du appeler la police tellement on m'a mal parler un jeune stagiaire je n'ai pas sejourner dans cet hotel ils ont refuser d'annuler ma reservation.

Il location è molto centrale e nella struttura mi hanno offerto un posto auto gratuitamente. La camera è molto piccola, il condizionatore non è funzionante e quindi faceva molto caldo anche nel mese di novembre. Il WIFI è solamente funzionante nella hall e nella stanza si fa fatica a navigare. Pulizie tutti giorni ma il bagno è sporco.

A notre arrivé nous avons l’habitude d’être accueillis convenablement, pour notre part nous avons été accueillis en tenu très décontracté claquette, ensuite nous avons eu une première chambre et pas d’électricité ils nous ont proposer de nous changer de chambre et nous avons eu droit à des bruits de tuyauterie et de fusibles qui ce déclenche sans arrêt, nous avons donc prévenue l’accueil mais rien à été fait... l’emplacement est très bien mais il manque de la propreté du professionnalisme.

Erst haben wir den Eingang nicht gefunden, weil es die Adresse anscheinend nicht gibt. An der Sauberkeit hat es auch gemangelt, die Wände sind extrem dünn und deshalb hört man jedes Geräusch vom Nachbarzimmer. Zum Frühstück gab es keinen richtigen Kaffee und die Auswahl lässt zu wünschen übrig.

Resimlerde okadar guzel gozuken yer bizi rutubet ve nem kokusuyla karsıladı. Yorganın altında bocek cıkmasıda pahasıydı. Çalısanların hepsi iranlı derdimi anlatmaya calıstım bana ucuz oda aldınız yapacak birsey yok diye cevap verildi. Kesinlikle kimseye tavsiye etmiyorum!!

Otel tam anlamıyla berbat. Öncelikle otelin dış görünüşünün fotoğraflarla alakası yok. Otel çalışanları kişisel hijyenleri dahil çok kötü durumda. Çarşafları 2 defa değiştirtmeme rağmen, lekesiz trmiz bir çarşaf bulamadılar. Odaya su bile koymamışlar. Das Hotel ist die reinste Katastrophe!! Das Badezimmer ist so klein dass man schon Platzangst bekommt, die Dusche ist extrem dreckig und verkalkt, sodass wir uns erstmal badelatschen und Putzmittel kaufen mussten um duschen zu können. An den Wänden befindet sich schimmel und da sich direkt vor unserem Fenster am Hotel die Baustelle befand, konnten wir die Gardinen nicht öffnen mal abgesehen von dem ganzen Lärm!! Das Hotelzimmer hat einen Fernseher allerdings ohne Fernbedindung und einen Wasserkocher natürlich ohne Tee oder Kaffepulver. Beim auschecken durften wir dann unsere 30kg schweren Koffer die Treppen hochtragen, da die Rolltreppe nicht funktioniert, natürlich wird den Gästen dabei auch nicht geholfen. Es gibt so viele noch nicht genannte Makel aber alles in einem : es war einfach das schlechteste Hotel in dem ich bis jetzt war und jeder der etwas Wert auf Hygiene und Kundenservice legt würde ich dringenst von diesem Hotel abraten

Ik vond de ontbijd goed maar de kamer was te klein en ziet er oud uit en we hadden geen koffie of thee in de kamer. Paar keer gevraagt ze zou den verzorgen maar ze deden hellemaal niets. De schoon maak was goed. De hotel wordt gerenoveerd.

Hotellet er ikke som vi ser på bilde, romet er så små og de som jobber i hotelle var dårlig mot kunder. Inndørs badebassenget er bare tull var ikke varmt vann man kan ikke bade og ikke noen vann i barnebassenget.

Otele vardığımda resepsiyonda yabancı uyruklu çalışanlar vardı.Anlaşmada biraz sıkıntı çektik.Otelle ilgili herhangi bir bilgilendirme yapılmadı otele giriş yaparken.(Kahvaltı saatleri,havuz,spa...)Bazı prizler çalışmıyordu.Havluları yırtık,duş jeli oldukça kötüydü.Odaya bir çift yatak anca sığabiliyordu ve odada çöp kovası yoktu.Yatak başı lambaları çalışmıyordu.Duşakabin camı zor açılıp kapanıyordu.Olumlu olarak sadece kahvaltısını beğendim.(yumurtalar hariç)
