We stayed in this hotel for 13 nights. Property was clean, the customer service took sometimes but eventually they delivered, breakfast buffet had lots of options & very delicious with different varieties daily. Property advertised rooms are soundproof, but unfortunately rooms in our level weren’t sound proof. I still recommend this property for its other features.

Beds very comforable and maids very nice. Reported black mold in the shower to managment and they claimed it was \"old\" and not \"mold\". Doormen rarely opened the doors for us, but were helpful to get a taxi and the food from the restaurant on the 18 floor was not good (shrimp caesar salad and burnt hamburger). The pizza restaurant was very good. The 18th floor restaurant also wouldnt let wife dine there because of antibiotic drip which is total discrimination. Their booking rates were higher than on hotels.com.

I spent a whole week at the hotel and was absolutely delighted. The hotel has a great location – it’s easy to reach all the main attractions, yet it’s in a very quiet and pleasant area. The hotel staff were excellent, from the reception team to the housekeeping staff – all very responsible and friendly people. I have no complaints at all. The restaurant and breakfasts were top-notch. Everything was absolutely delicious. I had a wonderful time in this beautiful city and hotel.

My Favorite Istanbul Hotel!

I love this hotel. I love the staff. I love the food. I loved my corner room, which was beautifully decorated and spacious.

This is now my favorite hotel in Istanbul. I’ve stayed here twice and each time was absolutely amazing. Ezra showed us to our room. She’s amazing! The front desk staff gave us another room upgrade. Sader, the supervisor in the dining room, is always kind and gracious. Our housekeeper was very sweet, kind and accommodating.

If you’re looking for an amazing place to stay in Istanbul, I highly recommend The Point Barbaros Hotel! You’ll love it!

Amazing Hotel!

I absolutely love this hotel. We were given an upgrade to a higher floor with an amazing view of the Bosphorus Bridge upon arrival. Kudos to Tufan for his kindness and the upgrade. The room was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. The bed was extremely comfortable with very fluffy pillows. The bathroom was spacious with a wonderful shower.

The staff was absolutely amazing, especially our cleaning lady Zulekha (not sure if I spelled her name right) and Sader, Said, and Omer at the Restaurant. The food was very tasty and enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. We ate dinner several times at the 18th floor restaurant and truly enjoy the barbecue chicken.

Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel. It’s located in a very nice area with lots of restaurants, an exchange office and a grocery store nearby.

I am very disappointed in this hotel and will NEVER stay here again. I have stayed here multiple times before, and even reserved this hotel for my son when he visited Istanbul. This week I had a business trip in Istanbul and decided to booked this hotel again. I selected \"reserve now pay later\" option and gave them a call at 7:30 pm the day that I am supposed to check in, right after my meeting ended, to let them know I am on my way. The front desk employee, his name was Erkut, said that my reservation was canceled because I didn't check in at 4 pm. I have stayed at hotels all over the world for work, and have never experienced this. I told him that nobody gave me a call to let me know my hotel stay was canceled, and he said \"we are allowed to cancel anyone's stay if they don't check in by 4 pm\". When I asked him where they stated this on their website, he couldn't answer me. The staff also did not take any responsibility for my cancelation, and were arrogant on the phone. I had to find a new hotel at 8 pm after a long day of meetings in Istanbul, a busy city this time around, for absolutely no reason. And please note that I have stayed at this hotel multiple times before, so they have my info in their system along with my phone number and previous stay infos. I have never heard of a hotel that cancels a reservation because the customer decides to check in at 8 pm instead of 4 pm. Horrible customer service. I will never recommend this place or stay here again.

Good hotel, only few things to improve.

Pros: nice location
Staff were fine and attentive, relatively quick check-in
Good swimming pool+ facilities + gym
Room service food was good.

Cons:
Tried to charge me for a swimming hat and would accept “cash” as machine was down.
Feather pillows, I am allergic so this was not ideal.
Can be quite loud and you can hear cars beeping horns etc… so if you’re a light sleeper this could be a problem.
But overall good hotel.

First of all, this is definitely different than what you see in pictures. Carpets are not clean, windows are not as shiny, etc. The only good things about the hotel is their room service and restaurant staff. Internet connection is terrible and you can barely stay connected for an hour (constantly). and above all, in our reservation details it says a room with 2 Twin beds and once we got there they gave us a room with 2 Single beds! once asked, the reception guy told me: Twin beds are the same as Single beds !! (Imagine the frustration of explaining the difference and not getting anywhere for almost an hour for a booking that is paid in full in advance)

At that time the person whose name is Munevver was very kind and nice to me and managed everything step by step. Also, other team members Esra and Rozelin were very nice and polite to me. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone, people at the reception were not helpful at all, so many nurses, ill people around, felt like I was in the hospital, smelled like a hospital, Istanbul was amazing but this hotel was terrible. Only the people at the valley were helpful. Receptionists were big headed, arrogant, so sad….

When I got to the hotel they gave me a small room which was not the room the reserves how is everything executive suite which cost me $2000 and was placed in a small room I complain and they put me in another small room with a piece of furniture I complain and I changed my room again by this point I was so disgusted I left early
I was supposed to leave on the 19th I love the 17th the furniture had stains I look like piss the staff was really nice and housekeeping one was very good but television was only in the Turkish language it was not what I was expecting

First of all, this is for sure not a 5 stars property.
The concierge doesn't bother ordering a taxi because this is not part of his job description. Staff barely speak few words of English. Breakfast is below average. Staff cleaning the room do not bother refiling the coffee/sugar/tea plate. The reception staff tells you that breakfast is till 11am at the Executive Lounge, and when you go there at 10:40, they tell you that they stopped serving breakfast at 10:30am, because either there is miscommunication between the staff, or simply the Executive Lounge staff is too lazy to keep on surfing breakfast till 11.
I wouldn't give this hotel more than 3 stars, very disappointing

The hotel presents itself as a 5*, however, it feels more like a 3-4 stars. I’ve chosen the hotel based on the close location to Zorlu center. The staff is polite. The rooms were disappointing as they had bad odor (probably from smoking even though they were non smoking rooms). Every time I’d come back to the room it smelled awful. The windows had fingerprints all over, there was an odor coming from the shower drain and the curtains had patched holes on them. This is not what you find in a 5* star and I’ve stayed in many 5* hotels all over the world.

I would like to thank Mr. Cihan Yilmaz, the manager of the hotel and his wonderful staff. We were very pleased with the service, the cleanliness and the location of the hotel. The only issue we had was with house keeping. They did not vacuum, they were always short on towels, coffee/ condiments, and other replenishments. This was the only weak point. Otherwise, we loved our room and the hotel.

It was a decent 3.5 star hotel which is listed as 5 star but is not even close to a 5 star hotel. I have left 3 nights early and booked another place to stay as I couldn’t stand the noise in the hotel even-though it was non refundable and I lost my money . This hotel has 3 elevators and an open space between all stairs and each elevator makes a loud noise when it stops at any floor but the noise will travel to other floors through the open space area in the center and it bothers so bad. It is so loud that it wont allow you to go to sleep and even if you manage to somehow sleep, it will absolutely wakes you up. I couldn’t stand the noise and has to book a room at another hotel to be able to sleep. I have asked the front desk lady for refund for the 3 nights I wasn’t going to be there but she declined it.

Had the worst experience ever.
Stayed at this hotel for 6 days, first 2 days were pleasant, room was very clean (cleaned by ‘Selda’ as what I read on the card placed in our hotel room).
The following 4 days were absolutely appalling. Room was not cleaned properly, especially the bathroom. Was not provided enough toilet tissue, slippers, towels, bed sheets were not changed, the cups were not replaced or cleaned after being used which is absolutely disgusting.
To top it off, our last day was a nightmare. I am so disappointed! The bell boy ‘Adem’ at Point hotel took our bags and we trusted him to load our luggage in the taxi and he left a bag behind. We had to turn back from the airport to pick up our bag. He had the cheek to blame US for this when he clearly did not do his job properly. Very unprofessional and rude. Do not trust the staff at the hotel with your bags. The staff at reception were not helpful either. Will not be returning and had a very unpleasant experience in such a beautiful city. What a shame. The only good thing is the location. Other than that, this is definitely not a 5 star hotel.
