Upon arrival, the hotel manager informed us that there was a “major plumbing issue” and that we would have to be relocated to a different hotel for two nights. However, it became clear that the property was overbooked and the explanation provided to us was dishonest. Despite the manager’s assurances that special accommodations would be made for the inconvenience, no such accommodations were provided.

This situation caused significant hardship. After traveling internationally for over 12 hours, we arrived to find no available room at the property we had reserved. We were forced into alternative arrange.

Pleasant hotel, breakfast is very good, nice safe area. But more like a 3 -4 star hotel experience in terms of toiletries, no toothpaste... No welcome kit, certainly a bit underwhelming. I asked for a quiet room but kept getting awaken by noise from the hallway.

Really helpful staff / during our stay but also before, when we were looking to arrange airport transfers. Pool and spa area is delightful, as is the reception area and bar. Our room was a good size and had everything we could need. Loved the shower and the shampoo/shower gel/soap was also lovely. Well located for public transport (bus and metro) and also easy to get uber taxis. Overall we had a wonderful stay and I highly recommend this hotel.

Professional staff, Great food & coffee. The view from the 212 restaurant is special, we celebrated a milestone birthday there. If staying here, I recommend requesting a river view room above the 3rd floor. The rooms and room service are very good as well. The beds are very soft so if you prefer firm you will need to consider this. There is not much in the way of cafes and facilities in the immediate area but there is plenty within a short cab ride.

We stayed at the Hotel May 2025, there were construction in front of the hotel! They are building a high rise. Every morning at 7 am they start with heaving machinery.
When we asked the manager about why they didn’t mention that on their website of booking! He said it is not everyday but that is not true it is full heavy work.
The worst experience unfortunately.
The manger name was Orkun Ozvural
He gave us a pass for some free drinks and snacks, which we thought that was not the right way to solve this problem. Then he offered to change our room to a suite the last day of our stay .. we declined because we were going to wake up at 6am so no reason to change a room when we will wake up before the construction begins.
We were really looking forward to stay at this hotel (we stayed in it 11 years ago ).
It was a very bad experience and will never come back again!!

Trip to istanbul and chose the Reaissance as my base lovely hotel lovey staff met all me needs and excedded in expectations - If ihad to find a negative there isnt much around on foot to Taxis are readly available so depending where you want to go most places are cheaply accessable

Our TV was not working the day we arrived, and even after multiple complaints through reception it was not fixed until the next day evening. Socket in the bathroom was not working as well, and hooks were falling off the wall.
Reception are all men, not a single a woman. In general the impression was not the best.

Everything was terrible: Check-in, dirty sheets (has to be changed when asked), executive room was very small with no coffee machine and the water boiler was broken. Change my room and it was as terrible as the previous one. We got a cake for our wedding anniversary which was also terrible.
The key word: TERRIBLE.

Hotel’s restaurant closes early. And there are limited decent restaurant options in close proximity. The area is noisy, especially at the weekend. The staff treats you like you are going to run away without paying your bill, and they ask valet fee every day when taking your car out, and not at the end of your stay! They also either take a deposit or let you pay each time with visa, without a deposit on your card (which is debited with each transaction) you can not bill your room. Why can’t they have everyone sign an agreement that says they are ok with getting charges on their card for unpaid expenses and keep it simple. It shows that they had bad experience with customers running away without paying bill which made us feel concerned about the quality of their hotel guests.

All staff members were friendly, efficient, and professional, from the check-in staff to housekeeping. Thanks to everyone.

The fantastic view, amazing facilities, and the caring attitude of all the staff, I highly recommend this hotel as a top choice. I needed help to get to airport by public transport and also with tourism recommendations. The staff at front of house reception were just so friendly and an excellent example of outstanding customer service. Also the guy who helped me with the pool and spa facilities at 7am in the morning. He was so helpful.

Room was nice and clean staff were friendly. However the tv was restricted so you could not use any hdmi ports so unless you speak Turkish it’s pointless having a tv. Breakfast was also ridiculously priced. It was around 850 lira which is around £23. I think considering I paid for the room I should be able to use the tv how I want, they do not even offer and movies you could purchase so it doesn’t make sense to restrict it for guests.

Location is poor for public transport and we had to rely on taxis , and coming back after a day of sight seeing with very congested traffic took ages and was frustrating
Also there are 2 very similarly named Renaissance polar hotels which caused more confusion among the taxi drivers
Staff at hotel were extremely kind and helpful with ordering taxis and helping us to print out boarding passes
In particular Bellbog Emir who was great

Overall OK hotel, kind of older hotel (~10 years old) that doesn’t look like 5 stars hotel. Staff were very helpful and nice.
Bathroom floor was not clean when we checked in.
Room cleaning service was not consistent, and they forgot to replace towel once during our stay.
Breakfast was not included in our room and it was too expensive in the hotel.
Not sure if I would go back.

Bathroom smells either like cigarettes as other rooms seem to smoke and it circulates. Other times bathroom smells like sewage, so disappointing for a so called 5 star. They never actually listen to client’s request always forgetful and apologetic.never got us a taxi, never listened to our request while leaving the hotel. Too many staff in the loby doing nothing
