Not a hotel I’d normally stay at I only chose it because it was close to my hair procedure. The staff clearly judge guests by appearance. The room was dark even with all the lights on, and our view was of another building’s windows.

When I asked the concierge for help getting a taxi to Bebek Waterfront, he pointed me to a driver who rudely refused. Minutes later, I saw the same concierge personally escort a well-dressed woman to that very taxi. I was casually dressed due to my procedure, but that’s no excuse for such treatment. Very disappointing.

A pleasant stay

It was simply beautiful. I am really happy that we booked our stay at this hotel. The staff was great and beyond helpful, I want to thank the people who had the night shift and helped us with our checkout, Hasan, Ismail and Baran.
The breakfast was among the best we have had in all of our trips. The hotel delivers and you get your money's worth in every way.

Rooms were not ready for three, although it is asked from the beginning. One room is even not available for the additional bed. Changed after checked in.

Just one towel in both rooms again for three. Front desk informed that there isn’t any additional in hotel either. 🙂.

Beware of extra charges.

Whilst the hotel itself was lovely, I was (for reasons unknown to me) charged an extra €15 per night for my second guest (my son), who was already detailed on the booking. When I queried this with hotels.com, they were told by the hotel this was minibar/restaurant. It absolutely wasn’t. They were separate. We were just charged an extra €30 (2 nights) for unknown reasons. Beware.

The hotel is marketed for an international clientele but it had no international tv channels available, some of the staff did not speak English or very poorly. Service was not consistent. The swimming pool and gym facilities did not look very clean, nor recent. Breakfast and room service were rather average. The room was not in a general great condition, things were quite old.

We booked a room in this hotel from hotels.com

We were told to hand 50 euros deposit money on check in, or 50 Dollars , but I told them that I don’t have this amount and currency now, so they asked for 300TL instead. ( they didn’t mention this in their website that they ask for deposit money).

The staff was really groggy and upset all the time.. I think they gave us a small bed room because we didn’t pay them euros or US Dollars.

The room we booked on hotels.com was a 377 sq feet, but we were given so small room instead which was almost dark with no adequate lights and the shower head was broken.

I spoke to receptionist, she said that the information hotels.com that gives to customers is wrong. She offered a bigger room for higher premium to replace the one we had.

The room is small, it is no value for money. It was an unpleasant experience.

Nicely designed and decorated. Staff is helpful but the room was lacking hygiene. We found left over mask and an open shampoo bottle. Also smelled like the AC filter wasn’t replaced(?)
Overall the staff was nice, location was good and the price was OK!

Loveable breath of fresh air in avantgarde levent hotel ! was ideally located in the best business district of Istanbul,
close to the shopping malls, popular restaurants and next to the citycentre.
Puplic transport network in Istanbul is upgraded and this district is a heart of
Easiest way to get around Istanbul.
I’m grateful for Kivanc, Abdullah, Dilara, Gulgen, Sercan and from the room aswell cleanservice Kenan, Canan etc.
Highly recommend hotel.

Ben silikon kulak tikaciyla uyumama ragmen, her 1-2 dakikada bir gecen arada egsozu patlak ya da modifiye araclarin cikardigi gurultu ile ziplamaktan butun gece uyuyamadim.
Bunun disinda, odalarin cogunda yogun sigara kokusu mevcut. Personel sagolsun sigara kokmayan oda bulmamiza yardimci oldu, fakat kokmayan odada bile gece 3 gibi havalandirmadan bir anda sigara kokusu gelmeye basladi. (Gurultuden uyuyamadigim icin kokuyu direk farkettim)
Ayrica, odaya vardigimizda havalandirma kapali oldugundan dolayi oda asiri sicakti (disarisinin 30 derece oldugu bir gunde). Hadi buna eyvallah, fakat havalandirmayi en yuksek hizda sogutma modunda acmamiza ragmen 1 saat sonunda oda sadece 1-2 derece sogumustu. Yani odanin rahat bir sicakliga varmasi saatler surdu.
En son olarak yataklarin cok rahat oldugunu da soyleyemem.
Sonuc olarak, otelin konumundan dolayi olan gurultunun fiyata yansitilmasi gerektigini dusunuyorum. Evet, otelin konumunu degistiremezsiniz, fakat ayni standarttaki sessiz-sakin oteller ile de ayni ucreti isteyemezsiniz.

Gece uyumayi planliyorsaniz burdan uzak durun. Yanindaki 3-4 serit gidis 3-4 serit gelis yoldan gelen gurultu korkunc. Silikon kulak tikacim olmasina ragmen her 1-2 dakikada bir gecen egsozu patlak arabalar ya da motorsikletlerin gurultusuyle ziplayarak uyandim. Berbat/uykusuz bir gece gecirdim. Ertesi gun yola bakmayan bir oda istedim, sagolsunlar yardimci olup odamizi degistirdiler, fakat bu oda da direk yola bakmasa da yandan yine yolu goruyordu ve hemen hemen ayni derecede gurultuluydu. Otelde sessiz bir oda oldugunu zannetmiyorum.

Bunun disinda bir diger problem de sigara kokusuydu. Birkac tane sigara kokan odadan sonra en son sigara kokmayan bir oda bulduk. Fakat bunda da gecenin bir yarisi durup dururken havalandirmadan agir bir sigara kokusu gelmeye basladi. (gurultuden dolayi uyanik oldugum icin farkettim)

Bir diger problem ise, girdigimizde odanin havalandirmasi tamamen kapaliydi (disarisinin 30 derece oldugu bir gunde) ve havalandirmayi en yuksek seviyede acmamiza ragmen yaklasik bir saat sonra hala 1-2 derece anca serinlemisti.

Kisaca sigara kokusuna bir cozum bulunmasi, arti yol gurultusunun fiyata yansitilmasi lazim. Bu fiyata cok daha duzgun oteller var.

trmendous sport and massage floor with nice swimming pool. I recommend it !
But for Silence I would ask hotel to redo their windows as rooms are heading to a big avenue with a lot of traffic. otherwise, superbe stay.

Every week i go to istanbul for dental operations and all the time i stay at avangarde hotel. Deluxe tooms are amazing and i feel so comfortable. I never sleep out of my house that comfortable normally but avangarde. Beautiful breakfast, very clean otel, amazing spa, amazing staff, .. So much more to tell about but struggling to write on mobile without my reading glasses :) strongly recommending.

The hotel is about 3 years old (I was told), so very clean and modern, is within five minutes walk from the Levent subway station and a major mall, and between 25 minutes and 2 hours from Ataturk Airport.
The only issue with my room was being overheated at about 27 Celsius or 84 degrees, and the AC did not work.

Very unprofessional reception staff & inhuman

Even though my card was charged by Expedia in advance still I had to convince them for 15 mins. They wanted to charge me again. When I checked out and was waiting for taxi and one of the reception staff offered to get me taxi, he stopped the taxi for airport and saw him taking some money from driver and then he came to convince me to give driver 60 lira once I reach airport. I said no way because I had paid around 50 lira when I came. Anyway he told driver to charge me by meter and said something in Turkish. This driver took me by another narrow roads and lanes and whenever I questioned he just said 'no English'. It took almost 1 hour and 45 minutes to reach airport and meter reading was 92 lira. I refused to pay and called the police at the airport and finally I had to pay 60 lira. Expedia should verify the hotel before recommending and booking. I could be mugged or even killed if I had objected too much on the way. It is an eye opener that one shouldn't even trust the rating. Horrible experience.

Perfect place to stay when visiting Bogazici U

I had an excellent experience.
The room was clean. The amenities were reasonable (included slippers). The breakfast was REALLY good-- it Included a good amount of fruit and veggies.
It is just a 7 minute walk to the new metro line to Bogazici U. Also a 3 minute walk to the metro line that takes you to all of the tourist attractions.
You can NOT beat the price.
I highly recommend it.

Avantgarde Service and Quality

It is a coveniently located hotel in the business center Mecidiyekoy area of Istanbul. Always had a positive experience. Smiley faces. The rate per night was in line with average hotel cost in Istanbul. Breakfast buffet is great and the service is always good. I have been staying there in the last 5 years and will stay again.

good location for business trip stay

The hotel locates near by the heart of the business center, walking distance to the metro station and business buildings and shopping mall. Room is good because I requested the room at the back side to avoid the noise from the street. Can access internet everywhere in the hotel in free. Staffs are kindly and helpful. Swimming pool and sauna are great. Breakfast is good. I stayed for 3 nights, from the second day stay the bottle water and coffee were not refilled and hand towel were not changed although it had a bit wet. I needed to ask for the bottle water for few times but nobody care until I was told that I need to tell the hotel reception instead of the housekeeping.

The hotel was excellent for the price and offered a very comfortable room with all amenities. The only problem was if the window was opened, there was a lot of noise form the surrounding area and traffic. Otherwise an excellent location and also a great value breakfast.

The Avantgarde is in a great location to get around Istanbul. My room was on the expensive side for its size and comfort, but it may have just been a day when things were tight in Levent. Staff was not overly friendly, but helpful and efficient.

Only if you are in the area for business

They turn aircon off during Oct - May, so if you want air you have to open the window.With that comes 24/7 traffic noise and you cant hear Tv.So it is air or TV.Breakfast is expensive and badly cooked. Staff speak limited english, asking for anything is a trial.
