Hotel Cambodiana - Great Value

Very good value older traditional hotel in good location overlooking Mekong River, at very affordable price. Managment very helpful in getting me a room when I arrived before the regular check-in time, and storing my luggage for most of the day when I checked out. Nice model of the Bayon in Angkor Thom in the lobby.

Older but wonderful hotel

Ended up booking here last minute after another hotel we had booked in Phnom Penh greatly disappointed us. Though the property is a little older compared to a lot of other hotels, we loved the amenities here as a family group of 3 generations. Our child enjoyed the pool and LOVED that there was a large grass area and a playground to run around and enjoy. The adults loved the fitness center, bar and restaurant (with live entertainment and a great free breakfast buffet), and the great service we received from reception, room service, restaurant staff, etc. The rooms were clean and spacious. Though the phones in the room were kind of dated/needed some juggling to work properly, that was the only issue we encountered during our stay. We appreciate that Hotel Cambodiana had something for all of us and will return during our next trip!

An Oldie, but a Baddie!

Our phone wasn't working, so I went downstairs to order room service. After ordering three things, the man said to wait to see if they had a soup. I waited a few minutes and they said they had it, so I went upstairs and only the soup comes. I sign, but notice that the price is $11, so I tell my wife, who is trying to tell the waiter about the other two items they forgot. She tells the man that the soup is $9 on the menu, but he says we have the wrong menu. She then tears up the receipt and says she doesn't want the soup. The guy is shocked, so he grabs her hands. She gets up, points to the door, and says \"Get out!\" The manager came with the man and apologized by giving us a couple of fruit plates. The next day we sit by the pool and order a burger and calzone. Over half an hour later the waiter comes and says they don't have burger. I say that I want to see a manager to which he says there is no manager. My wife goes and finds a manager. By the time she explained everything that happened to us including the night before, the waiter brought a burger and pizza, not calzone. The manager comped the meal and gave us two free hour massages. We ate at the restaurant once, which was great. The hotel is old, smelly, and desperately needs renovating. I would go back if they renovated. The pool is nice right on the Mekong river. The massages were great! The bed was comfortable and the TV was new and big. Don't ask for a tuktuk though. They will rip you off. Just go to the street.

Retro 1970 Hotel

The hotel is about 10 minutes past the main strip which is nice if you want a little quiet time. It is dated inside with a retro 1970's feel. The furniture, decor and amenities are all from 40-50 years ago. It was nice but pricey for the age. I would stay again but would compare prices to other properties before booking. Breakfast , lunch and dinner buffet are almost the same so the free breakfast is a good deal.

Respectful and helpful staff.
But bathroom needs complete updating: still functional but feel dating back to the seventies.
Hotel of this calibre should offer free airport pick up/drop off.

Like others have said, the hotel is in need of a renovation.
The Mekong Lounge is only good for coffee, it has no other purpose whatsoever.
My room had a great view over the river but, many of my rooms electric plugs weren't working. The A/C in my room was really poor at 15 and full fan I was just cool enough. The room safe was only held by one screw. My power went out one morning leaving the whole room in darkness.
The staff are amazing! Always smiling and happy. They couldn't do enough for me. I was sad to leave for that reason.

the hotel has a good location, near city center and with a water front view on the Mekong River. It also has a good pool. however, the rooms and amenities are aged and not all functional.
When first checked in, the room ring bell kept ringing, non stop. The engineer came three times, finally stopped the noice, as a side effect the bath room light was completely off. I have to bath in the dark.
The breakfast buffet was not attractive at all, worse than most other hotels. The restaurant overall service is so poor that very few guests come to dine.
with similar price, you may find many better hotels in the city.

I have been coming here for 25 years as this wonderful hotel has drifted downhill. It so much needs renovation-- investment--new decor, new lighting fixtures, systems that do not break down and require repairing, new bathroom fittings... I keep coming back because of its location, the spectacular views onto the river, the huge pool and the fact that the rooms are all exactly the same, so there are no surprises. Now there are no more shops at all, there is a terrible disco nuisance, and the owner obviously holds it as a land investment. Too bad. It should be the best hotel in Phnom Penh. It has a wonderful, responsive staff. They deserve better, too.

Very poor service and rundown hotel.

Book a Club room but the service so bad. Started with the check in, show them the confirmation slip tells me don't have so piz till i shouted to see the manager then they start processing it. Room was in so poor condition. Only 1 power point can be use and phone is spoil. Paying a high price but totally wasted. Please avoid this hotel all cost.

A few issues, but great location.

We had a room facing the river. The room was clean, but the carpet was old and there were a few cigarette burns. The bathroom was clean as well, but there was a problem with the drain on the floor. Every time we used the shower or the sink, water from the floor drain flooded the bathroom. We complained about it and we were told that it was corrected. Not the case. We did not make a big deal out of it since we were there only for 2 nights. Very friendly and helpful staff. We wanted an iron and ironing board. Someone brought it up to our room in less than 5 minutes. The breakfast is not great, but it was better than what you get at other places. The location is great. Very convenient.

Terrible welcome

One very rude and aggressive management member made our arrival a horror. I told him he was being pedantic and he thought I was being abusive! He was Canadian so one would have expected a better command of the English language. He was difficult and unhelpful. Later when he realised the error of his ways he tried to back track but the damage had already been done.

This aside, the staff at the Cambodiana are a bit of a mixed bag. One, grey suited woman was a completely sweetheart, always making an effort to greet us and smile at our child, others, particularly the the gym and pool staff, we're surly, lazy and rude.

The rooms now are run down and scruffy. Cigarette burns on the furniture and very tired bathrooms are also to be expected. Try the Himawari next door!

Too grand of a hotel...

To be a fair this hotel is more of a convention centre, grand in every way but the little things that matter more to us as holiday travellers did not meet our expectations. They have an adequate swimming pool (too small), the rooms are little worn out and looking old, the wifi connection is too restrictive given that most travellers now have iPhone and iPad connectivity. Besides that everything was terrific. So if you don't really mind any of that, then this hotel will suit you very well.

The hotel staff could not be more accommodating or friendly. They were wonderful. The reception, bar, restaurant and cafe areas were beautiful and well maintained. The only criticism I would make is the condition of the bathroom - it needs updating.

The hotel is in an excellent location backing on to the Mekong and within walking distance of the Royal Palace, National Museum and many lovely eating places although there was no real need to eat elsewhere as the hotel restaurant menu was quite extensive serving local and western food at very cheap prices.

There is a supermarket just across the street .

Everything else is just a short tuk tuk ride away costing no more than $US3 a trip.

Wifi is free in many areas of the hotel - the lobby, bar, restauant and pool etc . You just have to ask for the password.

There is a large well maintained pool and spacious garden overlookiing the river.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone - on business or holiday.

The Hotel Cambodiana location on the river and near the royal palace is great. Guests seemed overwhelmingly to be business people and as an elderly female tourist I felt safe. The staff was unfailingly friendly and eager to please. Enjoy the extensive breakfast buffet and the lovely French pastries at the lobby cafe. We booked an all-day city tour at the lobby desk which was fabulous.

My ultimate room was spacious and clean but I refused the first room because it smelled. The beds were very bad -- like a piece of foam resting on the floor.

The hotel is in a great location right on the waterfornt in Phnom Penh and a short walk to the Royal Palace, National Museum and waterfront bars and eateries, including the Foreign correspondent's Club (FCC).

The rooms are clean and tidy and the buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of food.

Some parts of the hotel are a little dated and in need of refurbishment. Not surprising given that it's around 40 years old.

Overall, a very comfortable place in a great location.

The Hotel Cambodiana is well located with view of the river. The rooms however are in serious need of upgrading. The plumbing leaks and floods the restroom each time we take a shower. The Wifi is slow inspite of having 4 different spots. The food in the restaurant is just average and breakfast buffet selection is poor compared to other hotels in Asia.

部屋も広く、立地も素晴らしい。
シャワーのお湯の出は少し弱かったが気温が高いので、苦痛というほどではなかった。
部屋の防音は、廊下の声が聞こえる程度で、通常の海外のホテルのレベル。
早朝から夜まで、廊下に音楽が流れていた。静かなBGMという程度であったが、静かに休むという点では、気になる人には気になるであろう。
また、敷地内の屋外のレストランでは、イベントが開催されており、大きな音楽が流れ、不快なレベルであった。特に、滞在中の一日、結婚式のようなイベントで２２時半過ぎまで重低音が流れ続け、時間が遅くなればなるほど酔っぱらったであろう客が大声で盛り上がる声が聞こえてきて、部屋の交換を依頼した。
時差のある海外からの客を迎えるホテルで、身体が現地時間になじみ切っていない客がいるのが当たり前であり、非常識な時間まで非常識な音量が流れ続けていることが耐えられなかった。
ホテルに会議施設があるのは便利であったが、会議の集団によっては、朝食会場や昼食会場が喧噪のようになり、静かに過ごすことの対極となる可能性があるホテルであった。

Time to renovate or retire!

Years back this must have been a great hotel. Now, it’s simply too old and lacks the investment. Reception lacked staff. Messages I kept sending through hotels.com were never responded to. So, 3 weeks later, I finally decided to give them a call to book my airport transfer. The size of the room and the food are the only 2 things that were pleasant about the hotel. Other than that, it totally needs a major renovation. It must include more staff on duty. The English proficiency of reception staff should also be improved. Staff were kind and tried to be helpful, but staying there simply felt like the hotel is slowly falling apart. Staying at boutique hotels in the city is a much better option in my opinion. Unless you have a particular reason for staying here, like using the tennis court, I don’t see why you should.

트윈 베드였는데 각각의 침대가 큰 싱글베드여서 좋았습니다.
다만 아침과 오후 중으로 방에 있는 경우 방을 두드리시며 housekeeping을 위해 필요한 것이 있는지 질문을 하셔서, 쉬다가 나가봐야 하는 경우가 있었습니다.
조식은 종류가 아주 다양하진 않았지만 부족하지 않아 잘 즐겼습니다. 리버뷰의 경우 수영장과 강쪽이 한번에 보여 전망이 생각보다 좋으니 추천드립니다. 거의 동향이라 해가 직빵으로 뜨긴 합니다.
와이파이는 잘 연결되지만 간혹 인터넷 연결이 안될 때도 있습니다. 그래도 양호했습니다.

１泊すればいいかな、カンボジヤナホテル！？

プノンペンには仕事で年に4回から5回ほど行きますが、歴史あるカンボジアナに一度は泊まってみたいと思い宿泊してみましたが、ホームページとは違い少し残念な思いをしました。
古いので仕方ありませんが、少し部屋はカビ臭く、バスタブの蛇口も壊れてたり、タオルも汚れが出ていたりと、今回、11日間の宿泊で2泊ほどにしていてよかったと思います。もちろ他のホテル予約もHOTELS.COMさんを利用してます。
朝食はバラエティーにとんでそれなりに楽しめましたがテーブルの配置、料理の配置となんかちぐはぐな感じでした。
一工夫で何とかなると思います。

Durchschnitt in guter Lage

Das Hotel hat schon bessere Zeiten erlebt, der Sozialismus hat bleibende Spuren hinterlassen. Vor allem Korridore müssten dringend überholt werden. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, aber mehr zweckmäßig als gemütlich. Die Klimaanlage war nicht zu regulieren. Der Blick auf den Fluss ist schön und das Personal freundlich. Das Frühstück ist eher auf asiatischen Geschmack zugeschnitten, aber sonst ganz ok. Für einen kürzeren Aufenthalt geeignet.

Hôtel un peu vieillissant, on s’y sens très seul
Pas beaucoup de client
Le petit déjeuner n’Est pas bien, jus d’Orange insipide, et nourriture pas top
La literie ça va , la salle de bain est très vieillotte
La moquette usé
Dans les couloirs, la climatisation diffuse le froid trop fort
Pour la piscine, cela manque de verdure
Des problèmes pour payer les boissons 🍷
Entre l’Hôtel et le restaurant piscine
Pour la chambre il fallait souvent demander les produits pour ce laver , idem pour les mouchoirs
Les plats à la carte et vin 🍷 assez cher par rapport à d’autre hôtel 5 étoiles

좋은 경치의 전통있는 호텔

좋은 경치의 전통 있는 호텔이다. 강가의 경치와 호텔의 풍광이 어우러져 캄보디아의 전통을 느낄 수 있다. 단, 오래된 건물과 관리상태로 최근 새로지은 호텔들에 비하면 경쟁력이 떨어진다. 그래도 캄보디아를 느끼고 싶은 여행객이라면 적극 추천한다.

Teppichboden im Gang 3. Stock schlägt Wellen
Badewanne Zimmer 309 hat jede Menge rote Flecken -Rost?
Kacheln im Badezimmer teilweise gebrochen
Könnte sauberer sein

plaisant séjour dans un ancien palace ...

Superbe emplacement en bordure du fleuve , non loin du Palais Royal .
Nous apprécions le charme suranné de ces anciens palaces un peu passés de mode
qui présentent souvent l'avantage d' offrir un bon rapport qualité-prix ...

交通有點遠,但適合安靜的地方如果下次再去我會帶家人一起體驗這安全又舒服的飯店如果有交通船可以直達市中心那可節省塞車時間
