It's a well organised and efficient hotel based on our experience.
Good stuff - rooms were spotless, staff were efficient and friendly and everything worked as it should. Breakfast was good with usual ingredients.

Not quite so good - not all rooms were ready by 2om, one lift and if you try to use the stairs you'll come out in the dining room (if you find your way!).

Overall - great value and theres nothing much not to like. Special mention to the young man doing the rooms - so pleasant, friendly and helpful - a real asset to the place.

Where to begin had to park the car at another hotel and walk back to our hotel , got in room bed had been slept in and big puddle of water in bathroom, got new room which hadn’t been hoovered there were bits all over hair bobble you couldn’t miss it , room was freezing radiator on full but only lukewarm and staff miserable

Upon arriving, the doors were locked (for security reasons), but there was nobody at the reception to let us in. Thankfully, another guest did. Once we approached the desk, we were greeted very shortly and checked in. The room we got, looked like it was prepared prior to our arrival, but the bedsheets weren’t changed. We found lots of hair, sweat stains, and even boogers. We went back down to the reception to explain the situation, and the nice receptionist apologised and sorted us out with a different, bigger room, no questions asked. The 2nd room we were given was in a much better condition, however, it was pretty dusty. I’d chuck a pillow onto the bed and the dust went visibly flying everywhere. The customer-facing staff were really nice and helpful, but the cleaning staff did a very poor job. We value cleanliness. We were given 2 different rooms, and weren’t overly impressed with either of them. It makes us question how thoroughly/often everything else is cleaned (toilets, floors, cups, cutlery, plates, etc.).

Heating only on at certain times of the day and when I arrived the room was freezing and was told it would come on at 5pm (I arrived at 3pm) and had to go out to stay warm!

The staff were so friendly and helpful.
The duvet felt weighted so my slepp was marvellous possibly aided with cider consumed!
Personally i didnt like my breakfast sausage but in no way would we complain. We got above and beyond what we paid for.

The room was ok and the hotel is nice and clean.the only problem I had was the heating is on a timer in the rooms so it was very cold in the hotel room but the reception area was nice and warm.9th to 11th of January it was very cold out side.the timer on the heating should be adjusted to when it's extremely cold out side the rooms in the hotel are warm and am not saying this to be rude because I do like the hotel

+ Check in and out was easy and the key card was convenient.
Breakfast was well organised.
Room was a good size.
I was only there for one night so I can't comment in depth on facilities.

_ The bathroom had no soap, shower gel ,shampoo or bathmat
Heating was not on in the morning before breakfast.

Staff were friendly and courteous but the room was not very clean, very dusty and stale sweets and biscuits left on the floor at the side of the bed. No towels in the room had tol ask at reception for towels. Cups in the room were dirty like they’d been used and not washed properly. Beds were clean which was the main thing. Very dated room furniture, with broken drawer. Carpet looked grubby with stains on it. Breakfast was fine. Overall 2 day and night stay was ok but, won’t stay there again.

If I'm honest there was nothing to note of our stay . The hotel is basic however we knew this before going so didn't have any real expectations. Value wise you can't really beat it for what we paid for two nights . Though very basic it sufficed our needs a base to get our heads down at night A good hearty breakfast next morning and very centrally located for why we were there .

The room was adequate, the bathroom was very small and the sink was very low and didnt work well at all. There was only half a toilet roll left to use so i had to go to reception to ask for more.

There were no toiletries at all left in the room.

The room we stayed in this time was very small, the cold water tap had very little water pressure as did the shower.
However, the room was warm and the beds were comfortable.

After reading a lot of good reviews about this hotel i was looking forward to me & my family staying here. 1st impressions seemed ok when we 1st entered the hotel. It was when we checked into our room when i was disappointed.
The room was cold when we went in, i checked the radiators they were both cold so i asked at reception and i was told they were on a timer so will come on later, one radiator came on but the other didnt. It was a family room so 1 radiator wasnt enough to warm the room. I went back to reception as i had also noticed a stain/mark on the bedding & someones dirty underwear under the window. I was told someone would come and change my bed sheet & maintenance will come to check the radiator, there was no apology from the lady on reception. A lovely lady came to change the bedding and apologised, she also tried to figure out what was wrong with the radiator but couldnt solve the problem, she told us she would chase up maintenance for us. We went back out to spend the rest of the day in Blackpool hoping that when we returned the radiator would be sorted, only it hadnt been fixed. We didnt get back til 9.30pm so by this time we were ready for bed and just accepted the radiator wasnt going to be fixed. It was a cold night. The bathroom was also not the cleanest. When your paying around £100 for 1 night i feel things should be a lot better than this. The room we stayed in was 101, hopefully things are sorted for the next guests that stay.

The Lawton Hotel has very friendly & helpful staff that go above & beyond being helpful.
The complementary breakfast was very filling & set you up for the day.
The decor is dated & very tired & needs freshening up, but after the initial shock, you realise that it is a very competitive priced hotel with a free breakfast, their profit margins must be very slim, not enough for decorating etc.
Saying that, our room was warm, the white bedding & towels were clean & fresh. The room had a tv, tea making facilities & was comfortable. So we overlooked the negatives. We both liked watching tv in bed with a cuppa & my daughter & I slept very well.

Room was clean and tidy,comfy beds and hot showers. Breakfast were ok but would prefer buffet breakfast. Nice large bar area reasonably priced. Parking was available for a price cheaper than carparks. Ideal location for tower winter gardens and beach. Staff friendly and happy to help.

Upon arrival the \"senior\" member of staff was blunt and border line rude.
The same lady was then was the same when our daughter went to report that we hadn't been provided with towels, and she was treated as a liar.
We went to breakfast 7.55am, 5mins and was met with \"your too early, i will shout you when we are ready\".
The correct way would have been surely was to explain that we are too early and would we like a tea or coffee in the meantime.

I didn’t find this hotel good value for moneyThe hotel is very dated and tatty in many places. Our room wasn’t clean on arrival. The toilet was dirty and the shower was very dirty.
Breakfast was average. The bacon and sausage were clearly very cheap as they had no taste at all.
On a positive note the staff were very polite and friendly.

The hot tap in the bathroom in my room was tight and not easy to switch off. The duvet cover was dirty and stained. The toilet in my bathroom was loose. The floor bathroom towel had holes in it. I couldn't open the bedroom window as the latch was broken. I think this hotel could do with a bit of attention and maintenance. The breakfast was good and staff were friendly and helpful.

This hotel was a last minute booking and we’re absolutely delighted with our stay. It was disable friendly. The staff were so welcoming, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was awesome with juices, cereals, toast and a beautifully cooked full English.
The only downside was the shower which was not much more than a trickle although temperature was great, also the television just pixelated so unwatchable. The Wi-Fi was perfect. It was situated very close (5min walk) to the shopping centre and Blackpool tower and (8min walk) to sea life and the theatre. We are definitely going back and will even choose this hotel.

I booked a double room but was put in a different room. The room I was given looked like an HMO place. The room was dingy and drab with a double bed and bunk beds. I went to reception and was told the room I had booked had a smell coming from the bathroom and that Ihad been \"Upgraded\" to the dingy room !! I was given another room with a double and a single which was much brighter and less drab than the original so I reluctantly accepted that room on the top floor. ( I was told sarcastically that I could stay in the stinking room if I wanted !! )On walking up the stairs outside the room the ceiling had partially collapsed whichwas a worry. The en suite was tiny with a small square shower an over sized sink for such a small bathroom and a toilet where the sink was in your face making it difficult to manoever !!!
No tv remote in the room - same person on reception said she would see what she could do - no remote was made available so no tv for our weekend stay.Bed was reasonably comfortable and tea and coffee facilities good as was the breakfast. Bar area lacked atmosphere and had few clients !! Would I stay at the Lawton again ? Absolutely not !!
