We had the most wonderful stay at this lovely family-run hotel and can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely welcome — not like guests, but like friends.

The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up, and the whole place has such a warm, homely atmosphere. You can really feel the care and pride that goes into running this hotel, which makes all the difference.

A very special mention has to go to Dawn, who truly is the heart of the hotel. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, always with a smile and time for a friendly chat. Her kindness, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made our stay unforgettable.

If you’re looking for somewhere with character, comfort, and people who truly care, this is the place. We’ll definitely be back and will be recommending it to everyone we know!

Wonderful stay in Blackpool

From the moment I arrived until 3 days later when I departed, Dawn and Dave as well their helper Judith have been very kind and accommodating. Dawn was well prepared for my arrival and quickly took my breakfast order for my stay before escorting me to my room up a flight of stairs. She asked Dave to carry my suitcase up for me so that I would not hurt my back. The room that I had booked has a shower and a sink inside the room but the toilet is next to the room that is adjacent to mine, which explained why the private bathroom was described as “partially ensuite” on the reservation. I found out during my conversation with Dawn that this is the only room that has its toilet outside while all other rooms have both the shower and the toilet inside the room. That was the only slight inconvenience during my stay to have to go outside of my room to use the toilet, but the room itself is comfortable and offers a lot of natural sunlight since it is facing the street and does not have another building blocking natural light.

The English breakfast that I had every morning was excellent. I was there for an all-day event and the breakfast lasted me until at least 3pm each day so I could focus on enjoying my event with only a few light snacks before dinner. I will definitely be back for the great hospitality, the location which is very central and convenient to enjoy all Blackpool attractions and venues, and the kind honest attentive people who are running this place.

We had a two night midweek stay at the hotel with our two children aged 7 and 9. The room was lovely and clean and with two bunkbeds in the room there was no fratching over who was having the top bunk!
The hosts were lovely, very attentive and we had the most amazing breakfast each morning. Nothing was too much trouble and we are all excited to stay again when we are next in Blackpool.

The Delamere is a great hotel perfectly located to access everything that Blackpool has to offer. The owner is great and she makes you feel welcome from the minute you check in until you leave. The rooms are very clean and tidy.

If you looking for a good value hotel in Blackpool then give the Delamere a try!

From a fantastic welcome from Dawn, the room was great - exceptionally clean, nice decor, en-suite, refreshments and comfortable bed for a good nights sleep. Plenty of choice for breakfast and I had tea, OJ and full English, toast and marmalade. Wonderful and polished off in readiness for a day the Winter Gardens at the soul festival. Short walk for Blackpool north but parking across the road. Excellent vfm and highly recommended. I will certainly book again next time I am in Blackpool. Many thanks Dawn and Dave

Welcoming greeting upon arrival, cases taken to our room. Breakfast order form made available unfortunately due to commitments we didnt take up the opportunity although in the morning breakfast smell lovely! The room was clean and fresh smelling. I requested a hairdryer which was promptly provided. Hosts were very friendly. I would highly recommend.

Great!!

Really nice little b&b stayed here for a competition with a friend and our daughters! Very accomodating for our daughters to get ready in the lounge area, reasonably priced bar and room was clean and comfortable! Girls even got a wee Easter egg on Easter Sunday which was so nice of them

A Fantastic weekend stay. Tony and Ann were most welcoming and excellent hosts. The whole hotel was absolutely spotless and our room was spacious and warm. Breakfast also a must-fab value for money. Highly recommended and a great location for the tower area of Blackpool.

Ann and tony were welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was spotless and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was amazing. It was also very close to the tower with lots of eating places nearby. Very central but also very quiet. Will definitely be back to stay with them again.

Tony and Ann are wonderful hosts. Rooms are small but clean and neat. The only thing they need to change is place a plug thats more accesessable for charging electronics. The best thing is everything is only a short walk away.

Stayed for 2 nights. The lady was a bit cheeky the man was polite enough. Myself and my kids had to tiptoe around our room as our room was above the dining room and she said no noise and she basically said she prefers couples other than families. We hated staying here because we were worried incase we spoke to loud or walked around too loud. Lol terrible. We could hear people talking in the dining room from our bedroom which we didnt mind but if they could hear us talking or walking id probably be charged extra money! Theres too many rules...turn off all lights and sockets which is understandable but to be reminded everytine we were leaving in the morning or afternoon if the lights and switches were off is just rude. No takeaways allowed in the room, no hot food allowed, i didnt see a breakfast option when booking but i thought with the price i paid that breakfast would be included but wasnt. Take your own rubbish out i was given a room with two bunkbeds and a tiny tv. Lol i couldnt even sit up. Tiny bathroom tiny room. I wont be back to this hotel. Id recommend the lawton, the ruskin or lyndene for near enough the same price and much more welcoming and polite staff that let you relax.

The property is near enough to walk to the front but far enough away from any noise. The room was a bit small for the five of us but it served its purpose and was comfy and clean . The cooked breakfasts were the best we,ve tasted in a long time with black pudding and fried bread ( not to greasy). Nothing was to much trouble for our hosts Ann and Tony, they went above and beyond as each of our grandchildren ages 12, 10 and 2yrs had a different cooked breakfast!! Great value for money. I would recommend anyone who stays here to opt for the breakfast . Would definitely stay again. Lovely hosts .

We arrived Friday 14th for 2 nights to be greeted by tony and ann. What a lovely couple they are. They instantly made us all feel welcome we have two kids aged 1 and 9 and they we're brilliant with the kids. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and the breakfast was spot on. Nothing is too much for them very helpful if you need anything. Location its great no noise on a night but not too far from the front a 5 minute walk. bonus that there is a car park across the road so you haven't far to walk with suitcase ect. All in all we had a great weekend and wouldn't hesitate to stay with them again. Thank you both for providing us with a great place to stay and hopefully see you in the future. Thanks again....

Tony, Ann (and Rocky) were very welcoming and helped with any queries we had. Our family bedroom was pleasant, the ensuite was very clean, and the fan in the room was a welcome extra. Ann also prepared us a lovely English breakfast, thankyou!Tips for other travellersThe Delamere is situated in a great location, handy for the beach, Central Pier & Blackpool Tower. We went to a show at the Winter Gardens which was less than 10 minutes away on foot, and both the Sealife Centre and Madame Tussaurds were even closer.

Hit and miss but mainly miss.

Not sure how I feel about this place. The owners were perfectly nice but the room smelt strongly of Lynx deodorant, breakfast was 9-9:20 only, the toilet was down the hall, the internet was useless and they don't provide soap. When I asked if they had any soap, they said \"is there none in the sink\" I told them there was some hand soap there, they said they don't provide any other soap. So I had to take the squeezy bottle of hand soap into the shower. It surely wouldn't be out of budget for them to buy a multipack of soap so their guests can shower. Location is excellent for the seafront and pier.

The hotel is in a good location and close to everything. The room we stayed in was small but comfortable with the bathroom external to our room. Tea and coffee was also available. Tony and Anne were good freindly hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was available at the hotel but we chose not to have it. Overall a brilliant stay and will book our next stay at the delamere when we come back to Blackpool

Brilliant weekend in Blackpool

Nice stay at Delamere for the weekend in Blackpool, Tony & Ann were very welcoming from the moment we got there, couldn’t do enough for us every time we walked in they were checking if we needed anything for the room, very lovely stay would highly recommend, weather was extremely hot, they left a fan outside our room which was a life saver, overall lovely experience, great location, right near the beach and Blackpool Tower with great transport links up and down the promenade via Tram. Overall 10/10 would definitely come back!

We arrived having booked 3 rooms
2 double and 1 twin
All exceptionally clean and comfortable.
Our hosts Ann and Tony were fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble .They provided good information about the area and helped us with any questions.
Individual needs were requested for breakfast by Ann. She managed the whole thing wonderfully.
The standard of care, cleanliness and hygiene really are exceptional.
The bar area is very comfortable and the bar is very well stocked.
The dinning area is bright and very comfortable. The newly ironed table cloths are changed before every use.
We were made to feel very comfortable and we had a wonderful experience and lovely weekend.
We will return.
Great value for money and very close to all of Blackpool’s attractions.

We had an excellent stay room was clean, bed was comfy and the host ann and tony were very welcoming i would definitely stay here again and would 100% recommend people to stay, the location was perfect as well very close walking distance to everything we needed. I would say the walls are pretty thin you could hear everything and everyones conversation and there was a slight blockage in the pipes as when we would turn the taps on for the sick the wTer was coming up thought the shower but that wasnt a problem for us just wanted to mention it. Overall our stay was great
