We had top floor. For 2 adults 3 children. 48 stairs to climb. . Hard work when you got a 1 year old, an invalid mother and all bags. No lift. Not the hotel is fault for us wanting a large room.

Room was clean and Service was nice. But had to wait long hours before before is ready as my other booking got cancelled which is appreciated.
Secondly, someone kept banging the door during midnight around 1Am. We shouted and opened the door and the person ran away. We couldn't sleep properly all night because of this.

I wouldn't stay there again.

The room wasn't very clean and needed decorating and the carpet had seen better days. My biggest gripe was that our bathroom was separate to our main room. It was our bathroom as it had got the same number as our room, but you couldn't lock it from the outside. So anyone could use it if they wanted to. It was horrible having to use it at night as you had to go out of the room and down some steps to get to it and it was freezing.

The property is very run down and the rooms dirty and very outdated, the owner on showed there face when you went the location was great but the building needs updating and cleaning the rooms were dusty as and the ensuited were far to small you kept hitting yourself on the sink when using the toilet, also nothing was matching red/black scruffy bedding with a orange cutain and scruffy rug over the filthy carpet and mustard wallpaper definitely needs updating .

The stay was amazing & the owner was really accommodating when we were late to pick up our luggage.
However, the advertisement stated bed & breakfast & there was no breakfast, it said that a hairdryer would be in the room & there wasn’t one.
I feel that the rooms could be even better if maybe they had a new lease of life (lick of paint, different layouts etc) other than that it was a really nice stay.

wonderful place , friendly owner , location is so perfect everything is on a mins walk , town , food , shoping and beach all one place , i like the place is well decor for blackpool , upgraded us a bigger room for no

This is my first property in Blackpool where I loved staying with family , massive family rooms , good double room , almost fully refurbished , innitially when we Booked the property I was not happy with the reviews and we were a little concerned about it which was so wrong and false information . upon arrivals we were welcomed so warm , close to beach , town , bus , plenty of dining and breakfast places , we must recommend it for a good stay at Blackpool Central Hotel.

A complete shambles. Please don't waste your money

I will never stay here again!! The service was terrible, they made a mistake with the room, even though I phoned twice to confirm we required a first floor with washing facilities, we where told we had to use a 2nd floor room. I refused and explained about our room and where given a first floor room. No help carrying our bags upstairs, You could just get a double bed the room. Then the tv didn't work. To top it all off the shower didn't even work, so when complained had to wait till next day for a room to become available with a working shower. Totally unacceptable :( :(

Dirty rooms and bathroom. Shower was full of hair , plug socket hanging of the wall , bottom of bed broken , first night owner told us not to use the shower as was leaking in to room below told could use it next day , he came back later in evening saying it was again leaking in to room below even though we hadn’t used it , tried to use it next day was stone cold water and wouldn’t heat up. Toilet seat hanging off and a weird smell through out the hotel .. never again don’t stay here

It was close to the bus station, where I arrived in Blackpool.
The staff were friendly and cooperative.
It was basic, but comfortable enough.

The only problem we found was opening the sliding door when exiting the en-suite bathroom. If the other occupant was in bed and leaning against the headboard, it impacted on the door, making it difficult to open. A stopper would release the tension. Also the shower rail needed tightening, as it kept slipping during use. Sorry, I forgot to report these to the owner before I left.

The good, the bad and the ugly...................

I went as part of a stag party (friends in a hotel on the same road) and would happily stay here again for the same type of trip. I was checked in early with no argument and the guy (who I presume was the owner) didn't make a fuss when I was a bit late checking out.
The location is spot-on, easy access to shops, bars etc.
The downside is that the place looks really run-down and really needs a thorough deep-clean and a lick of paint throughout.
My room was tidy and spacious. Good hanging space, TV available as you would expect. Kettle didn't work, but I forgot to let them know, but he was a nice guy, so am sure he would have replaced it immediately if asked. Bed was a good size and comfortable, and on the face of it looked clean, although I didn't really inspect it too hard.
Cleaning left a bit to be desired which was a shame - the place has been hoovered, but not very well - I moved the small dresser unit to get to a plug socket and there was all sorts of stuff down there, and very dusty. Bathroom was just about acceptable (although very very small).
This place was fine for a lads trip, but if you are travelling with a family or as a couple I wouldn't use it.
The price was a plus, it was cheap - especially as I booked quite late.
Come on Blackpool Central - give the place some love and you could charge more for your rooms!!

The hotel, OK not the best in the world, but for the price and the location was perfect, Owner really helpful and went out of his way to do anything asked, room was a decent size with a double bed, that was great in a single room, my only gripe was the room could have had better heating instead of radiators that never got that warm,

Very disappointed, had to pay extra for another room as I booked two twin rooms and ended up with two doubles not what I booked. Don’t know where the pictures of the rooms came from because it certainly wasn’t what we expect

Doesn't look like how it's advertised.

Not far from the sea and coral island, a bit shabby inside, small room, but comfortable bed. Was spoilt by the noise coming from the hotel next door, as they are very close together. Nice people who have the hotel though, they just need to upgrade the rooms a bit. However enjoyed our stay, but wouldn't stay again.

Looks can be deceiving

The staff at the hotel were good and the checkin was fast and simple the man gave me a parking space at the back of the hotel which I was grateful for.

The hotel itself looks very different from what it does on the internet the room we were in was very basic which I expected but the room wasn’t decorated like the images on the net and was quite dirty, the bedding was a little smelly like it hadn’t been dried properly.

The room could do with a really deep clean the shower was full of what looked like mold and also tile missing from the floor.

I realise this is a family run business and I didn’t really want to leave a poor review but I think with a bit more TLC this place could be great.

Hotel close to Tower and coral Island but hotel not what we was expecting sink in ensuite too big and sliding door to ensuite could do with replacing and could not boil kettle without put either on floor or on a chair and cups was small will not be going there again and will not recommend it

Was an amazing stay well worth the money , it was cheap and clean,friendly Not too far of a walk from the beach either, check out was at 10am, left luggage with the hotel as my coach wasn't till 2.40pm but came back earlier and was able to stay as weather was bad and was offerd tea while as.we waited.. highly recommend here .. Deffo coming back next year manger was really nice too

They didn't know I'm 71 and my wife's a little younger but disabled and they gave us a room on top floor(no lift-just stairs).They moved us the following day to the first floor.It was the Young Farmers (AGM) Weekend so 6,000 youngsters converged on the town and we weren't told.......bloody mayhem.Rooms are small,weren't cleaned regularly,had to ask for tea/sugar most days because not restocked,not over impressed at all,thank goodness the weather was nice so could get out from a small square box all day.

The hotel itself was great the guy in charge was polite and considerate but the issue we had he got confused what room we was in and called me on the Friday evening saying when are you checking in and we had already checked in and paid hours before so I got charged again for the room Total and told I would get refunded and I’m still waiting so will be contacting the hotel again today to see what is going on as it’s still showing as pending in my account other than that everything was fine and he couldn’t do enough for us during our stay

Never got room I booked & had to sleep on the floo

Booked 6 bed family room through Expedia on arrival it seems Expedia sold me a room that was never available so I myself had to sleep on the floor . I’m still waiting nearly 5 days later for Expedia to call me back after speaking to them on the night of my arrival
I’ll never ever book with Expedia again !! Don’t do it !
