Hotel room fine. Bed comfortable. Shower great. From an adjacent building which presumably does exercise classes on morning 1 there was loud drum and base music keeping me awake from 05.45. On morning 2 it started at 02.45. They really need to get this sorted as the constant stop and start of a bass beat is a worst case scenario. My noise cancelling headphones did not help.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
Made-to-order breakfast each AM by Patrick, and then he sat down and went through each day's itinerary with us, offering pointers to avoid traffic and take advantage of the most scenic routes. Delicious food, nice/clean room, centrally located to Killarney, Gap of Dunlow, etc. Peter was awesome too! We'll be back for sure!

Foleys Hotel was a busy pub and restaurant, with accommodation on first and second floors. A few flights of stairs to both floors. Popular place for dinner and live music. Food was good and breakfast also good. Music can be heard from your room until late, so keep windows closed. Street parking easy. Nice staff.

The hotel is in the heart of the action of Kenmare. Our room was on the third floor so we definitely got our exercise going up and down the stairs. The stairs are steep so if you have mobility issues make sure you get a room on the second floor (but you will still need to do about 20 steps). We needed to keep the windows open due the warm temperatures, there is lots of road and bar noise but it normally didn’t bother us. If the windows would have been closed we would have heard less. Staff was very polite and friendly. Breakfast was good!

Important to know the rooms are above a bar and restaurant which was not in the description at time of booking. Nightlife went on with live music every night - does not quiet down till 2:30 pm. If your looking guy a quiet relaxing room this is not the place to stay. If you’re looking to be part of the nightlife till early am then this is the place for you. Street parking. Room was clean and comfortable. Gave a 2 due to the noise we were not anticipating.

Our 3 night stay allowed us to explore the Ring of Kerry, the Ring of Berra then over to Baltimore. The staff and accommodations were updated and clean. There are stairs to climb but good as the breakfast and pub fare was tasty. Cappuccino was niice to have at no extra cost. The pubs and dinning choices were plentiful. Beef Wellington and Brisket at Mulcahys was fantastic. Kenmare and Foleys was a lovely stay.

While we had a minor issue upon check-in, it was remedied quickly. The host was very friendly and helpful.
While I looked forward to the room over the inn,
The substituted lodging exceeded our original accommodations.
I would recommend including breakfast, while the food was same venue as the hotels, it was served fresh and hot.
I would not have any issues staying there again.

When you advertise that your hotel has onsite parking, it would be an advantage if the directions to that \"onsite parking\" weren't to the street outside the property that was packed with day trippers. Also when your guests pointed that out that you were told the property had onsite parking, replying with: \"don't worry, it will be empty after 6 and you can repark then\", isn't really acceptable as an alternative.
It would also be an advantage that you check the room prior to giving us keys and allowing us to unpack before shuffling us downstairs to 2 very different rooms.
Apparently, the electrics in the 2nd floor had been blown a couple of days before!
Other than that, the other properties around (as in food & drink) were great. Bean & Batch did a brilliant brekkie roll and Maison Gourmet was just a perfect breakfast with a very French twist - sensational.

Foley‘s in convenient if you are looking to walk around Kenmare and enjoy all the town sights. But we did not like the scent our room - with clearly visible air fresheners. It was overwhelming and not enjoyable and made us wonder what scent was being covered up. Breakfast was included and our party agreed the food was abundant but not particular tasty. We would pass on a repeat visit.

My first time in Kenmare. The town was great and it was a good call to stay here as opposed to the more touristy town of Killarney. Easy access to the Ring of Kerry, good restaurant and bar at the hotel, live music and rooms were clean. The next time I'm in the area I would stay in this town and this hotel.

Would not recommend this property for older visitors
Firstly there is minimal on street parking close by
Secondly there are steep stairs to access rooms
Thirdly the pub has live music till 1 am. Even after pub doors closed revellers were outside our room overlooking street till after 2 am
Patrick the manager was extremely understanding and allowed us to cancel the second /third nights booked
We ended up in Kenmare the weekend of Ironman , not a choice we knew about
We moved to The Ashe hotel in Tralee which was a great choice . Both Kenmare and Killarney are extremely busy towns

Room was comfortable enough (although smelled slightly musty) and the washroom was small but newly renovated. The only real drawback to this place is the noise level. Even though we were on the 2nd floor, the live music on the ground floor below was still clearly audible until midnight each night. We could also hear music from the other bars, through the closed windows. This is not an issue if you plan to stay up late but bring ear plugs if you wish to sleep before midnight.

Conveniently located in the center of town. Welcoming staff. Very clean and great food.
Cons:
Although we love music and have stayed above pubs before, without issue, it was hard for sleep. Foleys have live music 7 days a week lasting until 11:30- 12 pm. This may be a bonus for some people, but we left tired after our 3 night stay!
Suggestion:
Maybe do acoustic music during the week and save the amplifier for weekends!

Too hot and loud in triple above bar

The triple room they gave us was right above the live music/ bar restaurant and it was terribly hot and loud. The second night we requested a fan, but still hot and noisy.I don’t think they have any insulation for the noise. I wonder if that was the only triple??? Loved the town, but would stay someplace else. The week before we stayed above an 1800 bar and couldn’t hear a thing, even tho they had karaoke and loud folks in the bar.

Great center town location!

I booked at Foleys last minute, as I needed to break away from my tour for health reasons. They let me check in early and took very good care of me during my 2 night stay. The location is ideal, close to every possible venue, restaurant, pharmacy, post office, shopping, laundry and bus. My room was spacious and quiet, you can open the windows. The only drawback is there is no lift if that is needed (I did not).

We loved Foley's! The location was ideal and just what we wanted in Ireland with an area to enjoy a pint out front and live music at night, and right in the heart of town. Food was also really good. Eddie and Brian were amazing and went out of their way to make us comfortable, give recommendations, tell stories, etc. Loved it!

Location is the biggest plus about the Temple Bar. Right in the middle of the heart of of Dublin. The staff was the next best aspe:t of our stay. The doormen were especially friendly & helpful. And the dining & front desk staff were great too. Downside of our stay was the small room size & the street noise. We requested & got a room off the street.
