So this property is in bad need of a renovation. The carpets of the rooms looks like they’re from the 70s. Still, the doors are very old as well. The windows were rickity and there was construction next door with heavy machinery creating a lot of noise. In the end, we did not stay here. We did ask to cancel and for a refund, but we’ve heard nothing back from the management. My recommendation is find somewhere else to stay.

The property was built in 1980 and the room allocated had not really received any upgrade since construction. The room felt miserable. The missing tea tray was provided on request but clearly not all residents asked. The rooms illustrated on the marketing material appeared quite superior with little variance in price to what we paid. The marketing material also shows people enjoying a drink in the lounge although this was forbidden. The breakfast was good and breakfast staff cheerful. The overall experience felt mean at Killarney prices.

Killarney View House was a lovely spot with great ownership. The B&B was just outside of town but still walkable into downtown Killarney. The breakfast was great and a sitting room with fireplace was lovely. Definitely recommend if you’re staying in Killarney.

We were very disappointed with this accommodation the room was extremely small you could barely move the bathroom door wouldn’t close it had a gap no window covering on the window so the light came in the whole time. The curtains in the room would barely close the noise from the street and people delivering things in the morning very noisy
The bed was so soft it was like a bouncy castle
No where to put any luggage because the room was so small I would definitely say miss this accommodation there is plenty more places in Killarney

Despite advertising that the accommodation had been recently refurbished this B&B has not left the 1970’s. There is no TV in your room. The WiFi was non-existent. No tea and coffee facilities in your room and one room had no heating!
Breakfast - where do you start, limited options is being polite. White bread only, whole milk and concentrated orange juice. No option of cereal or fruit.
The manager was rude and unhelpful. However on our second day two amazing staff listened to our requests, were helpful and smiled!! They definitely tried to improve our experience.
For the money spent you can most definitely get better else where, more likely at the hostel further down the road!!

The room was cold. No TV in the room. One bedside locker for a double bed. Light pull on shaver in bathroom black with dirt. We shared a hand towel and there was no bath mat when stepping out of shower. No lighting in the guest car park at rear of property. No cereal offered at breakfast. The milk also split on the surface of my husbands coffee, I then opted for black tea. Other couples also had similar issues with milk. There was no inquiry as to whether we were comfortable, or had a nice night. STINGY

Sehr netter Empfang mit netten Kaminzimmer , leider waren unser Zimmer sehr einfach eingerichtet mit sehr einfachen Betten.
Den Föhn gibt es auf Nachfrage am Empfang… das Frühstück ist auch sehr einfach entweder einen Toast mit Ei oder Toast mit Wurst oder Pancake .
Von aussen sieht das Haus sehr nett aus.

The staff are lovely but the rooms are so tired. They smell of mildew , the heating doesn't work so they are quite cold as the window are single glazed . It had rained that day and my jacket didn't actually dry .

Not worth the money!

The breakfast was terrible. The poached eggs were hard as a rock. They offered pancakes but no syrup so with a child traveling this was not very accommodating. The room was tiny, could barely fit our luggage in. The walk into the city was very close but coming back at night there was no lights to get from the parking lot and it was downpouring so it seemed very unsafe. The lounge area was closed at 10pm and then you only had your room with no fan, the windows open but no screen and there were visibly spiders at our window that we didn’t want to get in. No television in room or in lounge area. When speaking to the owner about my issues she told me no refund and refused to listen to what I had to say. Anything I spoke about to her was dismissed and an excuse was given back. The woman working the front desk was so nice. No tea, coffee, or water area except during the breakfast time so nothing after 10am. If you’re looking for a bed only then great otherwise highly DO NOT recommend for the price we paid!!

Overall a very quiet B&B stay. Walkable to everything, great location.

Only wish they’d offer a better gluten free option for guests. They offer the same choice 3 choices everyday, so the only choice for gluten free which was eggs( no toast). After three days it was tiring to only have one choice. They did toast my gf bread but it seemed like something they could easily offer for their guests along with changing their Irish breakfast to include gf options and maybe changing their Irish breakfast to be gf.

Badly needs updating, not worth rate

This is a very run down property, incredibly over priced. Beds are in very poor condition, lumpy with insufficient sheets. Bathrooms are very small, with only a sliding door separating from the room. Shower is barely big enough to turn around in. Blankets had rips in them. Service and breakfast were well enough but the quality overall was very run-down.

It was awful after we saw our room it was very cold so I as our host if the heater in the room worked she said no Heat was expensive in this country and that it wasn’t hooked up because people would just leave it on all day, she was then very rude to us made us feel uncomfortable 😣 The room was dated and tacky. We had to leave the Hotel because it was depressing went into town. We got back and the room was very cold and the bed was uncomfortable. I didn’t get much sleep because it was very cold the temperature was 35 degrees outside we woke up with frost on the windows. I have never experience this rudeness from a host. We paid too much money for this room. It was the worst place I have ever stayed at.

This was a beautiful place to stay! Scenic views from our windows, clean facility, so easy to walk to anything in Killarney. We had a great stay at this bed and breakfast. This stay was unique - not only in the good way.

The location is really good near to Killarney city and the Celtic dance show. You also have a lot of sights around you - both in the city, The National park and the Ring of Kerry, so you can spend many days here.
The B&B was both good and terrible....
We got a very, very small room to begin with. The windows closed very badly, so you heard the noise from the road just outside very clearly. You only got one towel and a little bottle of soap per person. The bathroom was small - zink was outside. Shower was so small you could hardly get in there if you are a large person.
It was extremely moist in the room. Out clothes got damp from hanging in there which was not very nice.
The bedstands was dirty on the top - you could not see it, but you could easily feel it.
One bed was broken - you felt the frame of the bed and the springs so it was a horrible night.
The next day we got moved to a newly renewed room with a new bathroom and good beds. That was very nice.
The windows was also bad in there and still only one towel per person - it would be nice with at least one smaller one for handwas, a bar of soap and a floor towel in front of the shower.
Breakfast is very nice - you choose from four variations and get toast and hot drinks. But only orange juice is available.
Staff was very friendly. The owner was very eager to solve our problem with the room, which we appreciate a lot, but this room should not be used for adults and one bed neds to be changed.

The property location is beautiful right on the river so the views are very nice. However the property hasn’t been updated and the room we were in smelled very musty and moldy. We were given two bath towels and two small shampoos on the bed and there was no hand towel or soap in the bathroom for us to use so we were using that shampoo.

There is a couple bars 5 min walk down the street but the main town is a 25 min walk at least.

It wasn’t worth the money for the property at all you can stay somewhere nicer for a better price.

We stayed here as a family and really enjoyed our stay. Friendly welcome from Mary the owner and nice spacious room overlooking the beautiful river. The communal area has a really nice sitting room with sofas looking out on the water and a roaring fire to keep you warm. There are also seated balcony areas to sit out and enjoy the view. The breakfast was lovely and the staff are so pleasant! Free wifi thoughout the property.. We Will stay again.

The staff, location and views were great. However, when we checked in, there were old contact lenses sitting on the bedside table and a tv remote with no tv. You could also feel the springs in the beds. The second day after the room was cleaned there was no bag put back in the bin. The walls are extremely thin so we were awake along with our neighbours.

Nice location on the river with a great view. Breakfast was good and the location on a main road in Killarney made it easy to get directly onto the Ring of Kerry route. The B and B was a short walk from the center of Killarney for easy access to shopping and restaurants. The Killarney View could use a makeover. It is a bit worn and the room was small and a bit unkempt. The bathroom was tiny, but useable. A good choice for budget travelers looking for a place to sleep but no frills.

Convenient location, okay quality.

Stayed two nights. The wifi didn't work for one night. Then when we went to check out the credit card machine wasn't working so I had to go down the street to another hotel that had an ATM to get cash to pay. The rooms didn't have much sound proofing so you could hear everything from the hall. Open windows are the norm in Ireland, however this location along the river invited lots of insects in. Breakfast was good and fresh cooked. Overall the convenient location trumps the small inadequacies.

Girl who took breakfast order did not recall we ordered tea and toast so had to reorder
Eggs were salted when I don’t add salt when not asked for this ?
Porridge advertised on menu with honey yet not evident and after eating was informed honey was at another table ?
Linen was shocking on bed as torn duvay and unacceptable for guests
No window blind on bathroom yet paint used to block out light ??
Upstairs lounge had log fire.
However man on reception did not have the milk of humdn kindness despite me saying my 87 year old mother was so cold to add a match to give her any level of comfort despite bedroom being also cold and damp and musty ?

Serious training. Issue in basis hospitality required in this extabkuahmrbg as very disappointing and only needed some basic tenets of hospitakity training to be adhered to that wound have made such a difference
Sorry but will be writing to tourist board and inspection body re this as not good enough in this day and age ?

Great view of flowers, river, trees and healthy walking distance to Killarney National Park. Also several places to eat dinner or lunch nearby. Not that you'll need the latter. Best breakfast offered in any BnB we stayed in. Bus tours of Ring of Kerry will p/u at Killarney View if requested in advance. Annd, the staff were great! Followed up with me when they found a pocket appt. book I'd left behind!

In need of an update.

We were 4 adults as noted on the search so I booked the apartment. When we arrived it was 2 bedrooms but one room had a double and a single bed and the other that a single bed. My husband ended up sleeping on the sofa. It is a very old property and is in need of some sprucing up. I am a plus size person and was unable to use the shower as the door was three pieces that slide into each other so the remaining gap was barely big enough for a child to get through. The fridge didn't have a handle and there was an extra washer (with a do not use sign on it). Almost like an appliance graveyard. The TV only got two channels.

On the other hand the bed was extremely comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the view was beautiful.

Our overall stay was great however the room was quite warm but we found that everywhere we went in Ireland. We didn't want to leave the window open because there was no screen in it and bugs flew in the room. The room was clean an adequate for our needs. The B&B proprietor was friendly and helpful and the river view and deck was very scenic. It is a bit of a hike to get into town but a short taxi ride. Breakfast was great.

What a view

The location in regards to the town is aweosme. The hotel itself gorgeous and location beautiful. The room was not comfortable. We could hear all breakfast and deliveries which could be because we were up front. We had a small 13 inch tv with one station that came in once in a while. Breakfast was good. Customer service great. Walk to town was great.

The hostel is located very central, only a short distance to town. We had the unfortunate experience of having a fire alarm at 4am, the front door was locked with a key so we could not escape, the staff arrived 5 mins after the guests had all gotten out of the bed sleeping, he arrived in his pj's and apologised for sleeping, he returned 20 mins after investigating the 'fire concerns' however he had changed and was now fully dressed in warm clothes, meanwhile all the guests were waiting outside in the freezing cold at 4am. This is a situation that does occur, fortunately there was no fire. However we are not sure what exactly happened as no explanation or apology was made at any point.

The room was lovely and cozy, the view beautiful, and the location was great! We loved the night life we of the area and the hotel was a perfect home base! The best bed and breakfast I've been in so far! Only a 10 minute walk into town, 30 minute walk to the National Park. The owner and her employees were remarkable! Very nice, caring, and helpful! I was worried about catching my bus back to Dublin, and Mary (the owner) gave me a lift to the stop.

Don't get what you pay for

This B&B says \"refurbished\" on a big sign out front but that sign was probably put up in the 1980's. The typical charm you expect from a B&B in Ireland was missing here as this is clearly a plywood built ready made hostel. For the price we paid it was not worth it. You can certainly find nicer.

The service was fine and so was the breakfast.

Stayed for 1 night, and this place was the most expensive of all the b&b/hotels stayed on our trip.

This place was not for us as room we were in was more like what you would find in a youth hostel. Very basic, poor bathroom with weak shower and basin in bedroom rather than bathroom.

Wifi was fine, although we were close to the lounge where I think the wifi is strong.

No tea or coffee making facilities in room, although can get from lounge. Lounge was nice with log fire and nice views of river. Nice cake was provided as well. Parking was fine.

I did sleep ok, although road was quite noisy and windows were single glazed (I think).

Tv was not good, and room not big enough for a chair. Although it did have two beds. Would have been better with just 1 double to make bit more spacious.

Breakfast was ok, although not overly generous. No fruit or yoghurt, but did have cereals, cooked option and some nice scones.

Staff were friendly.

Overall, I would not come back here as for me the room was inadequate for a b&b, and charge was too high.

I booked a triple room for me and two friends. The room was very small and we had no space to move. The shower had no hot water, the bathroom had a sliding door with no lock and was at the end of the bed. The sink for the bathroom was at the end of the double bed so after u used the toilet u had to come out to the bedroom to wash your hands. We were 3 girls staying there for a concert. I was so glad we arrived at half 6 that evening because the room was not comfortable to spend time in and I'm glad we arrived there ready to go out because there is no way 3 girls could get ready in that room with the sick in the bedroom and cold water in the shower. The next morning at breakfast the owner of the \"hotel\" ignored us but spoke to all the foreign guests. I also had two other friends staying there the same night and found her very rude. The only thing she said to us at breakfast was \"when ye are done he can drop in the keys\". This was 3 hours before check out and we felt rushed so we didn't finish breakfast, instead we just went home. I felt extremely insulted and felt like deceived. The pictures on the website are NOTHING at all like what the \"hotel\" is actually like. I have taken pictures of the room condition also
I would like to say that on arrival I met Neil at reception and found him very friendly and welcoming.

Disappointing

Very disappointed in this B & B. Although room was clean & host was extremely nice & welcoming that didn't make up for shortcomings. Room was extremely small, bathroom has sliding door so you can hear someone while they're in there & shower is hardly large enough to fit a person. Wifi must be connected in lounge, tv gets one channel & to top it off the heat is non-existent! Would not recommend at all.

Stated 2 nights one before beginning the Kerry Walk one after doing 4 days of walking ... great staff. Very friendly and helpful.. Location is an easy walk into Killarney and restaurants and shops .. Would definitely stay there again.. Breakfast is awesome

Do not stay here, horrible staff!

I saw this hotel was available so I booked to stay here online the night before and got a full confirmation email saying that everything was ok. I had a room for my partner and I and got a msg left on my phone the next morning which I never got to see due to being in a rush to drive 3 hours to get to my best mates wedding! It wasn't till after the wedding that I got to this place only for them to tell me there was no rooms available. The lady of the house wasn't very helpful resolving the situation either which was pretty lousey of her!! I told her my friend was staying a few doors down called the harmony inn, apparently she said she tried to get us a room there but it was all booked out, she said this to me as I was literally on the phone to them to which I found out they had a room for us to stay in. All she did was bad mouth other hotels in the area including the harmony inn and didn't seem to care about screwing us over, all she wanted us to do was leave! I highly recommend staying elsewhere, Infact, the harmony was a much nicer place with friendlier staff, better food and rooms!

No Room in the Inn, even though we booked

Did not get to stay, this hotel had double booked our rooms. We arrived at 4:30 and the two rooms we had booked were not available. Should have read the previous reviews where others had similiar issues.
We were not offered suitable replacements instead of two rooms our party of four was told we could share a room in a different B&B, completly unacceptable.
Had to drive the four hours back to dublin that night. Do not book this hotel unless you want to play room roulette.

Lovely place to see Kilrenny from

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff are really friendly, the room is a little dated but comfortable. The views of the river were lovely and being a 10-15 min walk from the centre meant we could access the town but also walk away from the crowds of tourist.
