The Hotel was very nicely decorated outside & in the reception area for Christmas. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had to call reception to have the heating switched out as the room was a little cold when we first checked it but that was quickly resolved. Highly recommend this hotel if staying in the Killarney area.

Killarney Oaks Hotel is beautiful. The lobby is really gorgeous. Room is spacious. We didn’t have a chance to eat breakfast here even though we prepaid for it. Will definitely stay here again if we come this way.

This was a very unique classy newly renovated hotel that from the moment you walked in was knock you over stunning! It had such an ambience about it … Hamptons looking, classy, timeless decor, stunning, amazingly presented restaurant with incredibly tasty food. Very friendly and helpful staff. Inside and out beautiful. Hotel room king size bed soooo comfortable and spacious. Couldn’t ask for a better hotel in every way

The bathroom had no wash cloths, very small trash can, inexpensive accessories especially the TP holder which kept dropping the roll on the floor when used, the reading lights by the bed were not good for reading. Otherwise it was very nicely decorated and the restaurant and bar were fabulous. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

The toilet in the room made a loud sound on flushing. When we spoke to the front desk, they were supposed to have fixed it. Sadly, it made the loud sound for longer.
On day two, I asked for more decaffeinated coffee and sugar. A shopping bag full of caffeinated coffees and milks were left on the desk.

Everything you could want in a Hotel

Super hotel located adjacent to Killarney National Park on Muckross Road. Superb room (bridal suite) though we only booked a luxury suite. Great shower and spa bath excellent water pressure. Full Irish and continental Breakfast buffet included in our room price which was great value! Two great restaurants with very good food.
We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough - you would not be disappointed.

Absolutely lovely place to stay, greeted by a very friendly young lady who was most welcoming and pleasant. Lovely clean spacious room with spotless en-suite. Breakfast was great, buffet with loads of choices of well cooked and plentiful food. Really well situated for the National Park. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely return. More than happy with our stay.

I arrived late in the evening after a long day of driving to find out the walls of the rooms are paper thin allowing for every sound to pass through them. My room was on the first floor close to the lobby & bar which didn’t help with noise issues. No hot water the next day, I asked about the hot water at check out & was told staff was aware however did not notify anyone & were not working on it “yet”

Great little hotel

I stayed here last night while working in the area. I found the room spotless, well maintained and a decent size. I ate in the bar and the food was fantastic, service was great (attentive but not overbearing), and the staff we super friendly. Breakfast was great too. I couldnt fault the hotel, and I will be working in the area in a few weeks, this will be my place of choice!

The hotel staff were excellent and very attentive. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was the nicest dinner I and my partner have ever had in a hotel. The staff in the restaurant were so helpful and the restaurant as a whole was spotless clean. I saw them wiping down every surface, including hand rails every few minutes (probably the most covid aware staff I have interacted with).

The room however was a let down, we paid 70 euro more than most other hotels in the area for a deluxe double room which turned out to be a normal if not small room with a king size bed. The room was decorated very nice and it was clean, I am just not sure why they were calling it a deluxe. The walls were also paper thin. Our neighbour decided to have a bath at 2 in the morning and we might as well have been in there with them. The rooms across the hall were filled with young students who were up drinking and yelling all night. Apart from this a very pleasant stay. I would recommend to wedding party's.

Lovely hotel minus our dining experience

I spent three nights here with my partner in July 2020. We experienced a great level of service from reception and breakfast staff were extremely efficient. The lobby of the hotel is really modern and the location is great.
The only downside of our stay was the restaurant. On the final night of our stay we booked dinner for 8:30. The restaurant was very busy and unfortunately our didn't appear on our table until 9:25. We each ordered a drink, one of which didn't appear. The food was very nice but the long wait really took away from our dining experience.I appreciate that these are challenging times for restaurants, trying to adapt to all the new measures but perhaps the hotel restaurant needs to review its operations.

I paid at least $50 more for the room compared to the going rate at other nicer hotels, including free breakfast which this hotel did not offer. The hotel was nearly empty. I had no heat although I moved the heating dial as instructed by the front desk person after I called and asked if the heat was off. I think they turned off the heat because there were few guests. My room was across from a lift which wasn't the nicest or safest location for a woman traveling alone. Their staff did nothing above or beyond very basic. The shower design was the worst I've encountered despite top of the line amenities.

Great Hotel

The hotel is in a great location, it is easily accessible by car, with Muckross and the town centre both within walking distance. The check-in process was quick and painless, and Joanna on the front desk could not have been nicer. The room is quiet, comfortable and well-equipped, the shower is good and the soap is also nice (if that sort of thing is important to you). There is ample parking, the parking spaces are also generous in size, so if you have a 2-door car or children with buggies you can still get in and out of your vehicle easily. We would definitely recommend. Thank you Oaks!

I cannot day enough great things about this hotel and their staff. I reached out before our trip asking if they had any services I could purchase to decorate my room with rose pedals and a sign asking my partner to marry me. Not only did they decorate the room free of charge, but they sent a bottle of champagne to the room and congratulated us on our engagement afterward. Everyone we interacted with was amazing and the hotel manager Danielle went above and beyond to make my proposal a dream come true. I will absolutely be staying here again and can’t thank this hotel enough for the BEST hotel experience I’ve ever had! Thank you!!

The room was nice and clean and we were pleased coming in.
However, we couldn't sleep due to the poor soundproofing between the rooms. We kept waking up from every single door that was shut on our floor and could hear every single noise from the adjacent rooms (even water running in the bathroom). It was an absolute nightmare. We paid a lot of money for that night and ended up not being able to sleep until late at night because of the unbelievable noise. The hotel on their behalf did not do much except for apologizing which I really don't get.
In summary- would not recommend!

Really enjoyed my stay here. The room was very nicely furnished and the bed was extremely comfortable. The sound proofing could be better, but it didn't cause me any issues. The free box of chocolates was a nice surprise!!
The restaurant food was of excellent quality and there was a good selection of dishes.

Descent hotel with descent breakfast this is not a bad choice but not a excellent one. I personally don't like it the rooms are noisy you could see trough the hall because of a gap in the door and you can hear people on the hallways and cars in the car park, noises in the bathroom form other people etc... Bathroom's where excellent though for the rest, nice and clean. Bed was clean linnen good but the bed springs where all worn out. Great parking space. Location is also excellent if you have a car. Final 6.

Lovely hotel on the outskirts of the town. Room was clean and spacious on the ground floor. Only negative was the noise of couches reversing early in the morning directly outside the room window. It is a taxi ride into town as it is quite a distance to walk.

I think it is overrated with 4 stars. The room furniture, bathroom is outdated. Overall interior looks nice and modern but it is better in common areas: lobby, restaurant, bar than in the room. Service at the bar was very poor.

We had a lovely stay . The one point that we were annoyed about was that for the duration of the 3 nights that we stayed we did not have access to the dining room. 2 of the nights the dining room was booked for tours and the 3rd night the hotel had a wedding. We ate in the bar and the food was super but as the stay was special occasion it would have been nice to have that extra wee touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

we were there 2 nights, enjoyed most of things. The objection is that ashtray is at the entrance and smoke is getting in every time door get opened, suggestion move smokers about 10 meters into car park.

Gorgeous views out front, spacious room with spotless bathroom, comfy beds with loads of tea/coffee and toiletries supplied.
Bar food serves huge portions of homemade loveliness (lasagne defeated me!) all classic dishes but very well presented.
Staff helpful throughout our week.
Breakfast had a good range of cooked breakfast, fruit, breads, pastries, cold meats and juices.
Loads of parking.

Hotel rooms and corridors need to be freshened up.

Hotel check-in was quick, pleasent and informative. The double bed was small. The door to the bathroom was broken. There was no vent working in the bathroom. The curtains were faded in places that it looked like bleach was spilled on them.

Breakfast was nice but the re stocking of the cooked food was slow and at times there were no items left despite there been over an hour left to have breakfast. The pastries were thin on the ground. An extra staff member on the floor would have kept the food stocked. When we were there, there was only one memebr of staff greeting people, cleaning tables and restocking food. Another member of front house staff came in to feed herself but not help with the dinning room.
