Friendly helpful staff Receptionist gave excellent recommendation for a place to eat. Housekeeping set up a cot for my baby grandaughter. Room close to reception and accessible for baby buggy. Lovely bright room with two double beds with garden view. Quiet street - no passing traffic.
Great location, short walking distance from centre of Killarney with lots of shops & restaurants. Very pleasant stay. I will visit again

The room was large and had ample storage options for our luggage. Additional seating was nice. The bathroom was spotless and much larger than others on our trip.

The front desk staff was friendly and able to provide information on the area. The breakfast area was inviting. He had prepaid for the full breakfast. My wife liked the continental breakfast and I really liked the full breakfast options.

This was the best room from all the hotels we stayed in Ireland. Very spacious, great beds and the location is perfect. Also, easy parking. Only drawback was the lack of air conditioning. The staff was great and you can visit the ring of Kerry and Dingle. It is a perfect location to explore the southwest of ireland

The hotel’s location is terrific. Steps from the center of town, yet somehow far enough away that it was quiet. Best part about the room is that it was spacious. The staff was welcoming and helpful and check-in was speedy. We stayed in room 205 and there was a good amount of black mold on the shower walls in the corner. There was also a good amount of white dog or cat hair on the carpet throughout the main room. Seemed like perhaps it wasn’t vacuumed since someone’s pet stayed with them.

What a gorgeous boutique hotel! So well set up. The privacy entry to our room was so well considered to minimise noise. Everything was beautiful, comfortable and convenient. Just around the corner from the town. On site parking is needed if you’re enjoying the sites from this town. Boutique lodge is our choice if we are ever lucky to come back to this most beautiful part of the world. Thank you for your hospitality.

We planned to drive around the ring of Kerry so it was a good location for this. The staff were really lovely with a glass of bubbly on arrival. The room was comfortable although we were right over the reception so it was a bit noisy in the morning with the coach or bus reversing and waiting out side. The dinning room lady was also lovely. Nothing too much trouble and the breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice too. Free parking and plenty of it. It is a good base but Kilarney itself was very touristy.

Hidden gem

The front reception staff (Kelly and Leilu) were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. We liked that this hotel was tucked one street behind the main tourist area so it felt less hectic but still very well situated to access local restaurants and tourist sites.

Great location, wonderful property...We booked a twin room and were upgraded to a room with two double beds. It was a very large room, with a lovely tub/shower combo. We absolutely loved the towel warming rack (as it was raining and chilly) and the staff were so warm and welcoming. What a treat and a great price too. It is so close to the centre of things in Killarney that we could walk everywhere. I highly recommend you stay here.

Easy access to all types of shopping an pubs. 5 min walk to hop on hop off and all bus trips to cliffs of Mohair and others. We. Parked our rental and just bussed it everywhere… less stress driving narrow roads and we both got to see as much as possible.

Relax but Explore in the one location.

We decided to take a trip to Killarney for the Easter bank holiday and we are so glad that we chose 'Brook Lodge Boutique.'
1) The location in the town is ideal. It's a very short walk to go explore, but in a quiet spot so we were able to relax too.
2) The bed was extremely comfy and the room very spacious.
3) We had the Jacuzzi suite and this addition was the icing on the cake. A great way to relax and unwind whilst on a 24hour Easter break.
4) I liked the decor and the old school phone in the room.

Only thing is it was 2 single beds pushed together which we don’t like with the line down the middle. Parking was easy and free. Location is absolutely perfect. Would stay again.

Great hotel which is well maintained and freshly decorated within easy walking distance of the pedestrian areas of town and well located for driving to the SW and the Ring of Kerry. Friendly staff.

BUT our stay was marred by a bad check-in experience. When we reached our room (~10.30pm) it had not been completely serviced and the previous occupants' sheets and towels were heaped in the doorway. I cannot imagine what had been going on in the room because those sheets were fantastically dirty and gross and should in an ideal world be red-bagged and incinerated. My wife was retching and she did not get over the bad impression during our stay. In fact, I had to work hard to stop our leaving immediately and going somewhere/anywhere else even though the hour was late.

The front staff were of course mortified and did their best to make up the impression with free drinks while we waited. All the same, the experience was shocking, and we are no shrinking violets. My wife works in a hospital and has rarely seen such sheets.

Crazily, this poor sanitary behavior by the room staff may be the norm because the next evening we saw a heap of sheets propping open a room door further down the corridor. THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED. I cannot imagine they would get many repeat visitors with that sort of cleanliness.

We had a nice 4 days stay here. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff so nice to deal with. I would stay here again, if I find myself in Killarney. Around the corner from the main street, so very convenient. My only negative comment is about laundry. They charge 18 euros for a load, which to me seem excessive.

Three Day Stay at Brook Lodge

When we arrived, we had to wait for the room to be ready. We were not early. So, that was surprising. Additionally, there was trouble with the heat in the room. It was either too hot or just cold. The cleaning staff, I think, would turn the heat off. And, we needed to ask for towels twice during our three day stay.

This is a lovely facility. The issues above can be easily corrected. We would hope to be able to visit again.
