Failure o have hot water until after 8 am is not acceptable and failure to tell us this at check in made the situation worse.

The Castlerosse Park Resort is a beautiful resort nestled in the middle of Killarney national park. My husband and I and our two children spent two nights and the accommodations were perfect as they even had a rollaway bed set up for my son the resort offers bike rentals, which were perfect to ride all the different bike trails around Killarney, some as to which even led you into the main street of downtown and to close tourist sites like Ross Castle and Mike Ross Abbey. Killarney riding stables is located right across the street from the resort which was super convenient as we made reservations for horseback riding throughout the national park. Overall, the resort was amazing and very welcoming! I had asked the front desk if they would do something special for my daughter‘s birthday and they happily agreed. Leaving her a sweet note and a beautiful box of chocolates in our room to be surprised with. Everything about this resort and this special town is mesmerizing, and our whole experience was truly magical.

Loved this place. Everything about this place is great. Couple of issues I would like to point out that bothered me. 1. At breakfast scrambled egg had egg shells in it. 2. Serving plates were wet, I prefer dry. 3. Bathroom light and fan should have separate switches. I say this because exhaust fan is noit

We loved our stay here! The staff were all very friendly, the massage therapist was wonderful, and the food at the pub was really good!! Our room was clean and spacious and had a beautiful view. Our only complaint was the cows nearby were really loud throughout the night but it was too warm in the room to not have the window open. Could have benefitted from having a standing fan in the room to help with temp or cover the cow sounds

Lovely hotel with great views from the bar and restaurant. Room was lovely and clean but absolutely roasting hot. Staff really make the hotel, all staff from reception, bar, waiting and cleaners were so friendly and made the stay enjoyable.

All good except check in

Check in was delayed by 1hr but we got a call next morning from reception before 12 reminding us to check out for 12sharp.
Bar was lively and staff friendly. Breakfast was very nice too. Views from hotel were very nice.

There were spiders and spider webs all over our room, the cups in the room were dirty but we had cups from McDonald’s so we used them. Room smelt musty and shut up.The property was beautiful but our room was not as we expected for such a nice resort and area surrounding. We are hotel hopping all around Ireland and this place has by far been the dirtiest place we stayed.

We spent one night here. The room was clean and large for 3 adults. No air conditioning and when we asked for a fan for the room we were told there were none! Quite warm in room!!
We booked a table in the dining room as we read in the hotel information leaflet that this is a special experience. Well we were disappointed. The food was good but the service was poor. Half way there the meal they started setting up for breakfast it was like being in a canteen
The location is fantastic but I would say it’s a 3 star hotel. Good for families but a bit of let down for us

Great location

We stayed here for one night during a tour of southern Ireland. We asked for an accessible room as my wife is in a wheelchair and in that regard it was the best equipped hotel we stayed in during our week away. The room and bathroom was very spacious and the walk-in shower meant that my wife was able to have her only shower of the week. We had a nice evening meal in the Dining Room, which has a great view across the Killarney National Park. If using the swimming pool you do need a bathing hat, which caught me out but the staff in the spa were very helpful and loaned me one. The swimming pool changing room was a bit disappointing and could have been cleaner.

Was a great location for what we were looking to do. The room was spacious and so modern and clean along with the bathroom which would be our first preference as we’re out all day hiking and love a spacious room with a comfortable bed and good bathroom and shower 🙋‍♀️
Will definitely return again and will try the golfing on the hotel grounds along with dinner in the bar this time rather than restaurant.
Everything was just as we needed and as I’m a local lady anyway and first time here it most certainly won’t be our last thank you ☺️

Nice Rooms in a Beautiful Area

Great place to stay near Killarney. Check in was quick and easy. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable when asked about local recommendations. The room we stayed in was large, comfortable, and had power outlets in good locations. Large bathroom as well. We were only here for one night, so we didn't utilize all the amenities, but the walking trail was great, and the fitness center and pool areas looked very nice. Breakfast in the morning was good and had options for a hot bar, cold/pastry bar, or a few custom menu items from the kitchen. Overall great experience here and would stay here again the next time we visit the area!

Fairly large room. Plenty of electrical outlets. No safe. Great window overlooking the golf course and the mountains. Heated towel rack. Free Wi-Fi if a little slow. Free parking. Gorgeous grounds. Breakfast was 12 euros, but you could get as much as you wanted at the buffet.

Enjoyable stay.

Really enjoyed our stay and felt very safe with the C19 precautions. Only issue we encountered was the loo needed 2 or 3 flushings as the pressure didnt seem very high.

Care and attention to looking after their guests

From the time you walked into Castlerosse reception your safety and welfare was paramount all staff were continually cleaning and checking all ok. Ozzy vital (hope you get you your grandads 90th) and Leena in the restaurant were superb thank you. We were on a three day break and have to say hotel was brilliant from food staff to facilities thank you so much for making our few days so enjoyable we will definitely be back

The pool and facilities attached are good. If you want the standard of the Europe then you pay those prices- for a mid range hotel I’d recommend this every time

The view alone - if you get a lake facing room - is worth 5 stars alone! The hotel was wonderful and everything that went along with it! The best we’re comfortable, shower pressure was great, and everything was clean! The only con to the trip is no fridge in the rooms and the hair dryer isn’t very powerful. Loved our stay here & would book again!

My husband and I had a great couple of nights at this hotel. The room definitely needed some updates, but the beautiful view was well worth the stay. The beds are on the hard side and there is no A/C which was a bit rough, but I would stay again just for the views and location.

Amazing view!

The view was spectacular! Whether we were in our room, at the restaurant, walking/biking the trails, or playing golf, we had an amazing view of mountains, lake & animals! This hotel is at the edge of a national park and there were so many deer, especially early in the morning and later at night, plus bunnies and birds! We also loved renting bikes and riding into town for some shopping and riding around the National Park. Beautiful!

Excellent location near centre of Killarney but with lots of pleasant walks around grounds, golf course and lake. Magnificent views from bar, restaurant and room (if you are lucky). Out of season so not as hectic as I am sure it is when schools are on hols. Very friendly service in reception and bar/restaurant, interesting guest lounge with owners' family history, good gym & pool etc. Perfect weekend retreat, or similar. See the deer when you walk around the grounds, course and lake in the morning and evening for a special treat.

My only complaint is that the fire alarm went off all night long. First time it went off about 1:45am and then 3 more times in the early morning, I didn't check the exact time but maybe 5:45am. Super annoying when you are trying to sleep and everyone panics. I'm sure the hotel was trying to do everything they could, some things cannot be helped but it did damper the stay.

The views were amazing, bar staff was wonderful and we had pizza for dinner with was really good. I really enjoyed the walking paths, it was a great morning to get exercise outside.
