The pool lets the place down. The tiles are green in place's which gives you the creeps. The hot tub was closed during our stay which looked much nicer than the pool. It definitely affected the enjoyment of my stay. The pool facility needs a massive investment. We enjoyed the hot whiskey on arrival. The room we had was lovely. I was a little disappointed on the bath as it was kind of small. The views are spectacular and it definitely made the stay. I also really enjoyed the pornstar martini (Kerrys kiss) cocktail. We ate in the saddle bar and the food was very disappointing. The cocktails were bad in the saddle bar too. We were disappointed with a few things in our stay - the quality of the breakfast was good but the whole service was a bit off for us. We asked to change seat as a nicer setting came up and we were pushed from Peter to Paul to try and change seat. Then our breakfast was left sitting for a while and we never got our tea. Also for the turn down service I asked would the attendant come back in 10 minutes and he wouldn't. Not sure if it was a language barrier. I had also asked the hotel if they could do anything nice for us as I was celebrating 5 years in remission which is a massive milestone for me. There was no mention or nothing done for us. Its a little bit of a hard pill to swallow when the hotel offers influencers free stays etc and they didnt do anything for a paying customer.

I did the horse riding and falconry activities and both were superb. The hotel is an easy walk from Kenmare town, and the hotel arranged for a ride for me to the town after I checked out. Food was delicious. I had afternoon tea as well as breakfast. I would absolutely recommend Sheen Falls Lodge, and will stay here again on my next trip to Ireland. Love it.

A beautifully situated luxury hotel where eberything is done to a very high standard. Our room had lovely views over the falls. The Falls restaurant is superb although I would prefer traditional dining chairs over the pub style semi-lounge chairs that they have which are bad for the posture wheen eating and are slightly to low. What a beautiful location. The grounds are stunning and the waterfall is absolutely lovely. The rooms are very large and they are very welcoming to children. We enjoyed the very large bathroom as well. We were welcomed with wine and cookies and the front desk staff even escorted us directly to our room. Great service.

Not all the activities offered by the hotel were available probably due to COVID and the off season but what was available was excellent. The Falconry adventure is a Must Try! It was a great venue for anyone to enjoy. The spa and wellness centre was a nice retreat, the aura of the corridors was enjoyable with news clippings of the building of the hotel, as was the christmassy and wood fire scent that filled them. Staff were totally engaged all the time and always on hand to help. The breakfast was great as well, and it was far and away the best hotel breakfast fry/grill I've had in Ireland and UK. the walk around the grounds was enjoyable too, despite Storm Atiya bearing down and the cultural site adjoining the hotel brings to bear the area's place in the History of Ireland. Would stay again at any time of the year.

The grounds are lovely, but the room was disappointing for a five star hotel. It was grubby, the floor tiles in the bathroom were cracked, the bath panel was in a poor state of repair. The flag stones on the veranda were unstable. The carpets in the dining room were worn, with the joints a particular eyesore.

The hotel is well located to explore the Killarney Lakes, the Ring of Kerry and, farther, the Dingle Peninsula. Rooms are nice and comfortable, bathrooms could benefit from a retrofit. Staff is uneven, from excellent to appalling. I was thrown out of the pool by a young employee because I was quietly swimming with my teenager boy after 6pm, outside of kids hours, even though there wasn’t anyone in the area. Additional activities are proposed but the tariffs are improperly communicated. Upon check out there were several mistakes in the bill, including a spa treatment that never was (they of course rectified). The bistro is nice and good value with friendly staff, the formal restaurant is terrible (undercooked fish!)

I will rarely ever say this about a hotel: this is a definite wow. You get the full experience here, and every part of it is great. Phenomenal restaurant (and I really mean world-class) with fresh local ingredients, a beautiful and impeccably kept property, a really nice spa, top notch live music, and very helpful staff. We're on to driving the Ring of Kerry now but I have to admit we're sad to leave. This is the kind of place you really want to come back to. Again, I never say this and hardly ever write reviews - but these folks deserve it.

Beautiful property with excellent service. We booked the Falls Suite which was incredibly scenic and spacious. The breakfast in the morning included an extensive gourmet buffet and a menu of freshly prepared selections. My husband set up the falconry experience which was truly memorable. The public rooms at the hotel were beautifully decorated. I would highly recommend a stay at Sheen Falls. The ambiance, service, restaurant, bar and rooms are spectacular. The hotel is just 5 minutes from the beautiful town of Kenmare.

Utterly relaxing. A weekend with my mother and she absolutely loved it. A snack when we arrived; I ordered the baby squid in the lounge and it was the best I've ever tasted.

Lovely location, very scenic. Buffet breakfast left a lot to be desired. An expensive burger from the bar area was disgusting. Room was outdated, carpet and furniture has seen better days. Hotel staff opened our balcony door and black flies infiltrated. Housekeeping wanted to spray insecticide! (We just wanted fly swatters). Eventually, they were sucked into a vacuum. A substantial wait for hot water in the shower. Spa facilities and pool area a disappointment.

The location is stunning and food was lovely (dinner and breakfast) - bartenders very attentive, Saturdays music is the bar was great, plus bedroom large/spacious. However I did expect a little something more for such a highly rated hotel - the bedroom and bathroom seemed unfinished / lacking something and the spa robes for example were frayed and could do with some love - although the treatments were good.

Beautiful hotel on a lake with a stream adjacent to most of the rooms that provides a spectacular view. The staff is very professional and helpful. The restaurant served a great dinner with a diverse menu and excellent service. The rooms are ornate and the stream sounds ouside provide a restful sleep. We did not have time to participate in any of the onsite activities but they offer several. Overall, a must stay if you are in the area!

This vacation spot mixes the serenity of a haven for meditation with an active place to bond with nature. The people are so nice, and helpful, and you have this overwhelming feeling of being relaxed. They can't do enough for you. We had a lovely dinner in the main dining room, and breakfast as well. You really don't need to leave the sit. We had a great cycle ride into town, and the weather was great. Take advantage of the pool and spa, and you too can feel like you are in a Paradise!

Very disappointed in the rooms which were dated, tired and extremely dirty. We were upgraded and even then had to ask to have the room cleaned. the windows in both rooms did not open! While the staff were pleasant, we expected much more from this hotel.

Very pleasant stay. Great room, very comfortable and quiet, but not air-conditioned even though it says in description here on hotels.com that it is AC (and temperatures were pushing 30 degrees during stay, which I know is not normal for Ireland). Stunning location and great staff. Amazing bathroom and very generous-sized bedroom. Good cooked breakfast but cold buffet quite limited. Biggest disappointment was the 'swimming' pool. It is more like a large plunge pool and not suitable at all for swimming. But great hot tub / jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, which makes the small pool in the same complex even more disappointing. Due to the unusually warm weather I had a swim in the harbour outside and it was amazing, also lying in the surf at the end of the falls was so invigorating. Would return again if there were a decent swimming pool or very good weather and could swim in the harbour. Otherwise Parknasilla Hotel nearby would be my preference, even though the bed-rooms are not as big or comfortable.
