The property was convenient for our stay and was recommended by Viator for our tour pick-up. Front desk staff was very friendly and helped us when we needed a last minute tour guide fill-in. Air conditioning was great, nice big shower. Very noisy roosters during the night, beds sag in the middle so did wake up a few times. Breakfast does not start until 8, including no coffee so not helpful for an early start. We were surprised with all the chickens around there were no eggs, not even hard-boiled for breakfast.

This hotel is situated in a lovely garden setting, our room was at the top level and we could see the ocean from our patio, chickens roamed the property and were very friendly. A traveller must realize that Rapa Nui is very layed back and a very unique experience, luxuries are not a priority. The Eco Lodge is clean, met all our needs, the staff are very friendly and try their hardest to to help out with any request.

The nicest thing about the hotel is the garden, its really beautiful. Architecture is OK, but nothing special. The best part is the terrace next to the breakfast room and the platforms and bridges that connect from there to lower levels.
Second best thing is location, its really convenient, although it can be a bit noisy if you're close to the street. Parking inside the property might be a bit tight, but leaving the car outside is OK apparently.
The place and the rooms are extremely clean and tidy.
Bed was nice and comfortable. Bedroom was OK, but the bathroom needs a thorough renovation and soon.
Half of the staff was really nice and friendly, but the rest was a quite apathetic.
No wifi unless you're in the reception area, this needs to be improved.
An idea for improvement: The desks included in the rooms are tiny; i get that you're not supposed to work when you visit there, but sometimes its not an option. In such cases it can come handy to have an area for people to hang out or work, with wifi and tables. Maybe you could do this with the breakfast area or the room next to it.

Very good hotel, would stay there again.

Well located, easy to walk to different places around town. Mom had problems with hair dryer, they got a new one and installed it while we where gone!! Wi fi signal only available at front desk and dinning area. Really comfy beds and clean baths!

Nice hotel that's central to everything!

We stayed at the Hotel Rapa Nui in May 2017 and really enjoyed our time there. The staff was friendly and very helpful with arranging excursions, car rental, and taxi rides, as well as answering our (many) questions. Breakfast is included daily, and you can purchase drinks and a limited selection of food/snacks during Happy Hour in the evenings. The hotel grounds are gorgeous, featuring beautiful tropical gardens, and the central location is fantastic - a close walking distance to the main shopping street, waterfront, restaurants, and the artisan's market. If we're ever fortunate enough to return to Easter Island, we would certainly book Hotel Rapa Nui again!

The location of the hotel is great (close to Main Street and the beach) Overall, the hotel is simple: good size room with small bathroom and fridge. The air conditioner unit is a bit loud but we managed to sleep through. Breakfast was adequate and enough to start our day
Wi-Fi was weak (this was the case on the whole island)

Close to airport, and easy to get to. Close to local shops etc. Apart from a cold but plentiful breakfast, no restaurant or snack bar. Room was not cleaned one day, and saw several cockroaches, but you need to expect such things, and still had a brilliant stay. Easy to arrange tours, taxis etc. And hotel fairly cheap

No AC for the hot daytime. Rooms were not clean. Roosters crowing from 6am to 10am and sporadically throughout the night. Very weak breakfast buffet. No shuttle service even though advertised. Mattress needs replacing, you csn feelthe springs. Roosters attack you at breakfast. In room safe did not work. Bulbs for some light fixtures broken. Something made a low pitched drum noise all day and night.

Good Hotel

The Rapa Nui staff are friendly and helpful.
The rooms is cheery and clean. The hot water has a sulfur smell but goes away once the water runs for a few minutes.
The room includes a small refrigerator.
The hotel is a couple of blocks away from the main shopping area.

If only the hotel lived up to the photos online!

Where do I start? We had a Spanish speaking friend call to arrange for airport pick up (15,000 Chilean pesos) but nobody was there to pick us up. We got a taxi for 3,000 pesos. The room was very warm, with no screens on the windows and only an inefficient ceiling fan. The toilet ran all night, we advised them in the morning, somebody came to fix it at 9:00 that night, and then it ran all night and leaked all over the floor and it never got fixed. We finally asked for an additional room fan and it was provided-made all the difference. The breakfast buffet was good. The office staff and the breakfast staff seemed not to care much about guests, as our experience and stories from other guests attest. Our room was not cleaned the first two days, (other guests had the same problem). The property could be lovely with a little upkeep and a few amenities, such as A/C and/or screens on the windows.

Worst Hotel Ever

We have traveled throughout the world and have never had such an awful experience. No A/C and no window ventilation so room was stuffy, hot and humid. Access road was under construction making everything muddy and limiting property access. Dirty towels left on the floor were rehung instead of replaced with clean ones. We had two rooms (one for us and one for our kids) - only one of them had a hair dryer. Thankfully we didn't spend much time in our rooms because it was terrible!

Good hotel with value for money

Pros: Few meters from the main road, nice atmosphere with a garden and a dining room with an okay view. Breakfast included

Cons: Ground floor rooms in the interior are closes and have no breeze, can get uncomfortable and humid. Could be cleaner, asked them to replace a light which never happened. Room has attached fan as opposed to a ceiling fan which made it worse

Overall its okay for the value for money thought my suggestion would be to stay out of the room during the hot parts of the day - go sit near the beach and have a drink!

Charming, no-frills hotel in safe neighborhood

Stayed for two nights in this charming hotel. The rooms are small, but the balcony makes up for it. There is no TV or A/C in the room - just fans - but the bed is comfortable. Staff speak some English and they are very helpful. Breakfast is decent. Airport is 15 minutes away and the hotel is close to restaurants and stores. It is walking distance from the beach where there are bars and nightly entertainment.

Good hotel at Easter Island

This hotel is located closed to a main street of Easter Island; from the hotel you can easily walk to restaurants, shops and a beach area. The hotel room is fairly clean and comfort and the breakfast is very good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a good vacation at Easter Island, Chile.

Poor attitude at hotel

Our room after we were told they had air conditioning didn't have it. They only offer one room with air and fortunately for my wife who has M.S. it was available for an up charge. One of the office personnel had h.a.t.e. tattooed on top of fingers?? and last day we were not able to take a shower because heater went out. Continental breakfast was sub par as well. Would not recommend this hotel.

The rooms are very basic, which is what I expected on the Island. The staff are helpful and accomodating.
Breakfast is adequate with bread, cheese and fresh fruit and unlimited coffee and juices. The terrace is very nice to sit and read
There is no air conditioning but the fan was enough to keep the room cool.
Nobody goes to Easter Island to sit in the room. The grounds are lovely with beautiful flowers.
All in all a pleasant experience

Reasonable Hotel for the price

Let me preface my review my stating that the hotel cannot be compared to a hotel in the United States for the same price because the island is in the middle of nowhere, and they have to import building materials and other things at inflated costs. Because of this, expect there to be wear and tear and other minor things in most places on the island that are not high end.

I went in with the expectation that I was going to be spending the majority of my time walking around the island which is what I did. As such, the hotel was a mostly a place to store my luggage, grab a bite to eat in the morning, and sleep at night. I considered anything beyond that a luxury.

The hotel staff is friendly, and the staff members that do not speak english well will try to understand what you say or call someone that does speak it.

They offer breakfast which is fairly uncommon on the island from what I understand for lower budget hotels. When I was there, that consisted of various juices, fruit, breads, cheeses, and some sandwich meats.

The bed was comfortable, and the room was larger than I expected. The lobby was nice, and the dining area was appealing.

Overall, I was more than satisfied with my stay. It was better than I expected it to be. I did have low expectations going in though because I researched the island's history before making any plans.

Centric Hotel

This is a common type hotel for Rapa Nui, outside the luxurios hotel in the area, I think this is a good option, you can park your car rental in the hotel and wlak to a decent breakfast. Also there market, handcraft souvenirs, car rentals, church and kaikai ballet are just around the corner.

The hotel is okay. A small breakfast is offered. Wireless internet is available, but it isn't strong in all rooms. They were helpful for all my needs. Wish the room had a/c, but they offer two fans, which worked fine. It's a great location though, near the main roads and within walking distance of some statues.

Comfortable place, good location, helpful staff!

I stayed for three nights. The room I was put in was quite spacious and very clean, and contained every basic I could need, except for a knife, but I got by without that :) It is in an excellent location, only a block away from the main road and three blocks from the beach. The biggest reason I'd recommend this to other people is because of how helpful and friendly the staff are. I attempted to book a horseback tour for my second full day, but the one I wanted fell through. The young man who staffed the desk at night promptly took it upon himself to book me another after I expressed how much I wanted to go on one. The breakfast was great, and really everything was very nice. Only real thing I didn't like was how warm the room was, but it's a hot, humid climate and that's not something they could change. Just open the door for awhile at night and it's perfect!

It was a shock to see the place called hotel!

The hotel hidden in a alley led by a dirt road has few rows of very old and short buildings, reminded me a cheap hostel which I stayed of younger days. The reception desk is squeezed in a tiny conner room, we have to wait and jam packed outside to check in with the manager one by one and the wooden bench there is broken. The only lady there is friendly and trying to be helpful without enough English, check-in is not fast.
We had to walk in the heat to buy water right then after exhausted 24 hours trip getting there, and there is no air condition but an empty unplugged refrigerator in our room. After we woke up from recharging nap we are so suppressed to find out how dirty the floor was, the so called closet is home-made by few pieces boards with a rod. The room is some what rectangular shape, not real rectangular, with two different floor tiles and some tiles are broken. The bath room was not clean with an unfinished door frame and a minimum sink, and without toilet-paper hanger. We have to put our tooth brushes/paste, hair brushes, shaver,...,etc on the small round table next to bed. Also we found ants, mini cockroaches, and bath room flies there. The 2 chairs in room are not clean neither and with hole in the fabric. We were shocked this place called \"hotel\".
We had to leave door open when up to get breeze into our room, and spent most of every day outdoor to cool off by the shade of trees. Lodging situation took lot out of our vacation, an very unpleasant experience.

Overprized for what it is but good location

The hotel is overprized for what it delivers. If free Wi-Fi, a hotel bar with happy hour and hot showers are a selling point is should be available. Tour bookings weren't easy/possible if not via the hotels preferred supplier and wi-fi was hogged by staff (and their kids). Central location nearly makes up for that though.

Great fit for Isla de Pascua

Hotel Rapa Nui offers just the sort of accommodations representative of the Island- - Personable staff, comfortable but not lush facilites, sustainable breakfast, car rental on site, luscious gardens and chickens and of course a welcoming moai! Price was just right, too.

The hotel is within short walking distance of restaurants, shops and the harbour. Within walking distance of the airport also, except that the road/paths are rough, so don't expect to pull wheeled suitcases!
Breakfast on the verandah is pleasant, although choice of food is limited. Good wifi access.

Great location, great price, great management

Isla de Pascua is an expensive place. But this hotel is one of the cheapest in one of the best locations, with great people managing it that became like friends to me. Isla de Pascua is a small island with great people on it, and this hotel is worth it. You want to spend your time out of the hotel, so just use it to rest.
